Glacier Le Noir

#732 in my "Tour de Fragrance" As I have a bottle of Jean Paul Gaultier's "Le Male Le Parfum" on the shelf I decided to get this Alhambra scent and do a side-by-side. I enjoy the Le Parfum as a scent, though not my favorite Le Male scent, and when it runs out if I can resupply that fragrance at $20 instead of $120 I absolutely will. I have 30 Alhambra "similars" and the 30 original scents they try to duplicate on the shelf. The PdM clones are quite amazing. Others, like the Tom Ford dupes, are good, but not great. Some actually out-perform the original scents in longevity and projection. So it was worth a try at $20 for the bottle of Glacier Le Noir with free Prime shipping on Amazon. It's worth mentioning that the Le Parfum has been on the shelf for more than a year and the Alhambra scents do tend to evolve after several months on the shelf. They don't seem to put a lot of effort into blending their scents before shipping them out. So if the Le Noir evolves in a few months I will not be surprised. So, the initial opening is different. The Glacier is slightly more floral with an added violet note and has a hint of citrus (bergamot?) like they were trying to split the difference between Le Male and Le Male Le Parfum. Le Parfum has a darker, woodier character than the Le Noir, which has a brighter, more floral, sharper character than Le Parfum. But the variance is very slight. And as that hint of citrus fades out, as citrus always does, the resemblance to Le Parfum gets pretty indistinguishable. Both survive from morning shower till lunch. I think Le Noir is really very unisex, though I've never viewed the JPG line as masculine in the first place. I think Le Noir is a great scent, with a definite JPG vibe, and I am thrilled with the price. My verdict is Le Noir is not a 100% dupe of Le Parfum, but close enough to be worth owning in its own right, and a safe blind buy at a low price of $20. It's car pool, elevator and office safe. Date night appropriate. I've also ordered the Glacier, Glacier Bold and Glacier Ultra versions and will review and compare those when they arrive, provided they're all in the Fragrantica database by then. If not, I will review them when they've been added.

In a nutshell this is very close to JPG Le Parfum but the differences being this is a fresh/Spicy take and less sweet and rich! But what others have said about this being close in the air is very true (especially in the mid) By itself Glacier Le Noir opens up semi sweet,fresh but also the thing that sets this apart is there is a very slight peppery nuance making this spicy and different from the OG. That slickness to me makes this more masculine! As it dries down I get more vanilla but also the spices stick in and it smoothens out and the iris kicks in making this more smooth and buttery. In the OG I can clearly pick out the lipsticks Iris but in Le Noir it’s just a supporting note that makes the vanilla more smooth and causes the spiciness to not be overwhelming. Crazy enough I LOVE the OG but actually prefer Le Noir as it’s just the right amount of sweetness and again that spiciness from Cardomom and pepper gives this a masculine edge. I still think the OG is a better scent as its ingredients are just class. However, for my personal tastes I have to be in the mood for something that sweet and the sweetness is toned down in Le Noir which also makes it more versatile. Performance- I get 8-12 hours with Le Noir which is excellent longevity for the price but projection is just above average for the first 1 hour and a half before it becomes a skin scent with decent sillage. The OG though had both excellent projection and longevity even with 2 sprays . Overall rating - 9 out of 10 ! Beautiful smell that i actually prefer over the OG and honestly I’ve received better feedback and compliments from Le Noir so I’m not disappointed at all

I got the sample of LMLP about a year ago and immediately fell in love with it. I'm a college student, so getting something that expensive for myself was out of the picture. I really got into fragrances only a few months ago, and while I was looking at popular dupes, I found this. It came in an hour ago and off the rip on my skin, it is 85-90% close. The only real differences for me was that after the initial 15 minutes, LMLP is definitely denser and rounder while Glacier Le Noir is brighter, sharper, and a touch sweeter. I cannot wait to see how it matures over the next month or so. This is such a steal at $20 for how close it is that I see little reason for anyone to buy the real thing (unless you have the money of course). I will update this in about a month or so, and hopefully by then, it gets to around 90-92% close. Edit (same day): Two sprays on the back of my hand; skin scent through 12+ hours, took a shower at hour 3. Longevity is NOT a worry, at least on my skin. Opening stays strong through the first 3-4 hours, after that the base notes start peeking through and progressively get more prominent. Strong projection through the first 2-3 hours. Edit (one month later): the sharpness had definitely toned down a considerable amount and the base comes in earlier as well. The cardamom is still fairly strong within the first 15-45 minutes but it settles down, and saying that I could tell some differences would be splitting hairs. I can confidently say that at this point in time on my skin, it is at least 92% close. Glacier Le Noir is THE schmoop for LMLP. Looking forward to even better performance in the coming months.

It's got the same appealing complex blend of sweet, vanilla, spice, herbal, floral, iris and powder aromas. The most prominent notes are cardamom, black pepper, vanilla and lavender. This is really fun, appealing and crowd-pleasing. The cardamom is distinctive, however, and it may not appeal to some. This is sweet. Like really sweet. Anyone who think the Paco Rabanne Invictus and 1 Million lines are sweet needs to take a whiff of this to learn what "sweet" in a fragrance really smells like. As such, those who dislike sweet fragrances should stay far away. Everyone else feel free to enjoy. This is good for all weather, day and night, and is unisex. It's not good for more serious or somber occasions, but isn't intended for that use. This is an all-around fun fragrance to use, is a good QPR value at a very good price, and gives good performance. It's quite a step up quality-wise from its fellow flanker Glacier "Bold." Easy recommend.

This was a recent 25$ amazon buy CAD. Long time cuba Gold abuser so getting this was to be in familiar JPG notes. All I can say is I have worn this 2 times on New Years eve and New Years day and got crazy compliments just like with Cuba Gold. My wife instantly starts huffing the air and saying OH MY GOD you smell soooooo good. Who cares about clones. This just smells really good. Clean Thick vanilla iris lavender bergamot simplicity. I also get a sweet coconut or pineapple like sweetness that align's with the Biche JPG line. Having bought about 10 highly hyped scents lately I realize that most are on a sweet amber vanilla trip that is getting old frankly. Makes me happy to have some darker and fresher scents to cleanse the pallate from time to time. I'm totally nose blind to this and can not smell it on me moments after spraying on. Can't smell it on my wrist or nothing. This being said my wife said she could smell me easily all evening and the compliments came so maybe you might not smell something on you but it is there. Total lesson for me on projection. I shot this into a vintage Borsalino Homburg and every time I wear it it smells very comforting.

I haven't had the opportunity to smell La Male Le Parfum so I will not be able to say whether this is a great clone or not. I had gotten a decent of Glacier Le Noir when I purchased another fragrance, I used it and I really liked the aroma and how it performed so I went ahead and got the retail pack. This fragrance is fresh and aromatic and has a lovely dose of cardamom and subtle spices in its opening and as it starts to settle down, the vanilla starts to become more prominent, the cardamon lingers nicely and there is a lovely warm spice and woody base provided by the lavender and iris in this. It projects for the first 2 hours and then starts to turn powdery. It stays on clothes for well over 20 hours. If you evaluate this perfume on its own then this as a sweet, warm,spicy and a woody profile with great performance. Here in India I got it for around Rs.1600/- and its value for many product from MA..❤️✨

Glacier Le Noir by Maison Alhambra is basically a spicier take on Le Male Le Parfum—but in a way that feels just as sexy and inviting. It opens with this smooth, almost creamy vibe but quickly gets warmed up with a bit of spice, making it feel richer and more intense. Honestly, I’ve gotten tons of compliments on this one, especially from girls—it has that kind of attention-grabbing, magnetic scent without being over the top. It’s confident, but still smooth and approachable. The longevity is solid, and it’s a great one to wear for nights out or dates where you want to make a strong impression. If you love Le Male Le Parfum but want something with a bit more spice and a little more depth, Glacier Le Noir is totally worth checking out. It’s super inviting, sexy, and always gets noticed

Ok let me give everyone my take on this frag since I have the original. I was just looking for a backup so I can extend the life on my OG LMLP. I get what everybody's saying about the opening and the pencil shaving scent. When I sprayed them side by side one spray on each arm that did present itself. However on the dry down it goes away and starts to take on the nature of the original. After a while its hard to tell the difference between the two. The only thing I can say is that JPG is a bit softer? Maybe the Oils are of a higher quality? But as far as longevity it's pretty close. And I picked this bad boy up on Amazon for 18 plus tax. How is that taking an L?? Its not. I suggest you do the same.

I never smelled the JPG this is inspired by, but this is amazing. It's the more adult, and dressed up LeMale. That iris, powder, lavender, and cardamom is just wonderful. I get compliments with this one even when I can no longer smell it. It doesn't have anywhere near the strength of typical JPG fragrances. Like I said I haven't smelled the JPG this is based on, but I'd be willing to bet it performs better than the Maison Alhambra. That being said it has good longevity as a skin scent, but I wish it had more projection and sillage. I'm surprised there aren't many clones for JPG LeMale Le Parfum, because if it smells like Maison Alhambra Glacier Le Noir then it must be incredibe.

I have decants of both this and the OG it's trying to replicate JPG Le Male Le Parfum, they are similar, you can tell it's trying to clone LMLP but I can't believe I'm saying this I prefer the clone over the OG 😭. It's more spicier, more powdery and oh god that opening is sooo lovely it's immediately so likeable. The OG has more vanilla, the spice is subtle,it feels warmer so it may not be as versatile as the clone, it's definitely more elegant and classy but smth about this clone I can't get enough of it. it's so good.

Smelling both lmlp and this i oddly prefer this, of course its more synthetic but i prefer the more powdery feel of the iris, its spicier tone, and dirtier vanillic sweetness give it a more rough character that i quie enjoy, its less refined and smooth but i prefer it, they are still quite close in the air and on skin but the prior mentioned differences can be noticed if being compared side by side, still for 20$ this an awesome buy.

I LOVE this one, if you go into this expecting a perfect le male le parfum clone you may be disappointed, this one I'd say is sharper and more top heavy, less smooth and more bold? I get more compliments with this on than I do le male le parfum so if that's what you're going for then for the price I'd say this one all the way. It's sexy, spicy, cosy and warm. Highly recommend 👌🏻

Sexy projects well and good performance Edit- I have since bought the real JPG lmlp and this comes very close, the opening is slightly deeper on this and has the smell of shaved wood/pencil sharpenings but it's not a bad thing I'd say the dry down is 95% close and honestly couldn't tell the difference after a while, a worthy dupe.

In my personal experience after own it for 2 months, the scent stay on clothes very long but not quiet project. For similarity, this should be labeled as an inspired by not a clone, 70% at best. It's more spice , more cardamon, sweet. IMO it's good for those who love sweet spicy middle eastern style LMLP twisted.

I have to admit, the first few weeks it opened with a KNIFE of Cardamom and Cumin for the first hour or so. After about three months it settles into a smooth Irish along with the tamed spices above. Long Lasting and sophisticated, I would get this regardless of its resemblance to LMLP.

I love it, this is the best dupe for le male le parfum and I own the FW clone as well. It's close to le male-like 85-90% It does not have the same performance as le male but it gets the job done I get about 6-8 hours with moderate performance 8.5/10

This is nice. Compliment-getter. Lasts all day with moderate projection. Vanilla with cocoa and light florals. Excellent cold weather fragrance. Big-time value for money (I picked this up for less than $20). What's not to like?

Smells really identical you can hardly tell the difference between this and the original and lasts for days on my clothes 24h+ on my skin not too sure about projection tho but i get whiffs of it on myself even after 5h+

I got this as a blind buy, but I love le male le Parfum, so I got this and I would argue that it’s a little better. The iris note is increased and it’s so sweet I got a cavity just by smelling it. 9/10 get this.

I own this and the OG and can’t detect an aporeciable difference. This is probably the best product and value I have ever purchased in my life. I can dmell this goid fir that price? Unbelievable!

Great performance, and while the opening is a really intense hit of cardamom, it quickly dries into a really pleasant warm and spicy vanilla.

I've heard a LOT of hype about LMLP so I went to my local Sephora to smell it and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I have owned several different Le Male colognes and liked them all, but this one was very different. I went in with the plan to purchase a bottle, but since it was so different than what I expected, I decided to try a clone first to see if I like the DNA. I started doing that recently after I found "fragrance YouTube" existed. Before that, I had never even considered buying a clone. After watching a few review videos about Glacier Le Noir on YouTube, I found this on Amazon for only $17. For such a crazy low price, I wouldn't care if it was terrible, but to my surprise... I love it! It seems pretty close to the original. I can't compare the longevity since I don't own the original, but I have owned many Le Male colognes and I think it's pretty similar, but even if it is less, it's only $17. This is an easy buy, I will definetly buy a bottle of LMLP now because I know I like this DNA, it just took me a while to get used to something new. Now I know I love it. It is more refiened and more classy (in my opinion) than all the other Le Male scents. I will also buy another bottle of this Glacier Le Noir so my LMLP bottle will last longer. I wear clones around the house, just for myself, and for that I like saving money. I won't waste an expensive cologne just to wear around the house for myself, but a $17 bottle of anything that smells nice is a no brainer. I love this stuff.

I have very mixed thoughts about this dupe and to be completely honest it has made me very wary of any kind of dupes/clones going forward. Allow me to explain. When the bottle first arrived late December, I immediately sprayed it on skin, and the opening smelled a lot like pencil shavings to my nose. Very sharp, almost stingingly so. That would linger for maybe an hour before it finally settled into a weird mess of vanilla and iris. I decided to let off a few more sprays and let it macerate until mid-late January; it changed nothing. I showed it to my step-father and he loved it, so I gave it to him. Now, we're in March and I decided to try it one last time, and it seems that the blend seemed to have fixed itself. The opening isn't as sharp and the blend of vanilla and iris is a bit more cohesive, but it still leaves so much to be desired- ESPECIALLY if you compare it side by side with LMLP. With Glacier Le Noir, it smells the exact same from beginning to end but gets roughly 75-80% close to the original For it's price, I guess I shouldn't be complaining too much. However, hearing everyone hype up Lataffa as one of the best clone houses in the game. This was my first dupe alongside Glacier Bold (a dupe of Le Beau Le Parfum and I also have many thoughts on that) and if this is the quality that people hype up for Lataffa, I don't know if I should bother even looking that way again. It's a 4/10 for me.

Came here to tell that i sold my Le Male Le Parfum because of the atrocious performance it had on me. Sometimes i wonder if buying ME dupes is worth it but with designers dropping the quality of their releases i think I'm starting to think ME actually care more about the product than popular brands do. Just as a disclaimer, Le Male Le Parfum is a stunning fragrance, 10/10 scent profile, but the performance is just insane, my bottle lasted 1-2 hours with literally 10 seconds of projection. My LMLP batch was from Spain, which some other people say also lacks any type of decent performance... I received Glacier Noir about two hours ago, immediately sprayed it on and i was pleased with the similarities. Anyone saying this does not resemble LMLP is totally a liar or a JPG glazer. The opening is a bit rough but so is the original's. Drydown is literally the exact same fragrance, maybe a tad drier and a bit more woody, but overall this is a 95% exact dupe of LMLP. This is already performing on my skin better than the original, i literally regretted spraying myself 10 times because of the strength of Le Noir, i did it instinctively because i literally had to spray 20+ times of the original to get any kind of sillage. Just buy this and skip the atrocity that is the original current batches.

This is a surprisingly good clone, on clothes and in the air I'd say it smells 95% identical to the original le male le parfum, on skin it smells very close maybe 80-90%, but just like most people who have tried this, I do smell an additional slightly weird cumin smell, and it definitely is less smooth compared to the original, however once it dries down the cumin smell fades drastically (but not entirely) and the overall closeness gets to a solid 90%. Performance is on par with the original, around 5-6 hours of performance. I would definitely layer this with the original, maybe a couple sprays of le male le parfum on skin, and then a few sprays of glacier le noir on clothes. Also goes well with dior homme intense or alwataniah kayaan classic. Straight out of the box and unmacerated I'd give it a 7.5/10, it may get smoother with maceration but I generally write my reviews without macerating.

The scent bears an 85% resemblance to Le Male Le Parfum. Its opening, however, deviates significantly from the original, as the heightened spiciness dominates, overshadowing the Vanilla, Lavender, and Iris. In contrast, the original presents a smooth and harmonious blend of Cardamom, Vanilla, Lavender, and Iris from the start. As it settles into the far dry-down, the fragrance aligns more closely with the original's DNA. Projection is strong during the first two hours. Since it is inexpensive, it is a good option for trying out this DNA. Upon revisiting this bottle after a year, I found it improved; however, for a stronger, richer, and smoother experience, I would still recommend the original.

Not an exact dupe of Le Male Le Parfum but good for what it is. Maison Alhambra is not my favourite dupe house, most of their fragrances don't work for me but this one is quite impressive. LMLP is heavier and spicier while Glacier Le Noir is lighter and heavy on lavender with a hint of vanilla. Lavender in cheap fragrances usually smells like cleaning products but lavender in Le Noir is pretty smooth and nice. Doesn't project much and lasts about 6-7 hours. The price is 1/5 of LMLP, I have nothing to complain.

Great fragrance on my skin. I don't get the pencil shaving scent that some speak of. My bottle opens up with warm spiced vanilla for the first hour and then the iris and lavender blend perfectly with the slight powder undertone to balance everything out. My only complaint is the longevity of the fragrance, but I am sure the performance with get better with time. (8.5/10)

The smell is nice, but a bit too harsh/strong for me. My nose gets tired of the scent fairly quickly. Afnan 9PM is a smoother and more balanced blend in comparison. It's also toeing the line of being too feminine. I can see how some might like this scent, but it's not exactly my cup of tea.

The only thing this one is missing over the original is the effervescence and the smooth opening. I have no idea what these robots mean by body odor scent... maybe try washing yourself with soap next time. Mistaking a bit of opening spicyness for body odor isn't really fair.

This is a great affordable alternative to Le Male Le Parfum. The scent profile and blend is very similar, to my nose it’s pretty much indistinguishable from the original. The only thing this dupe lacks is the depth that Le Male Le Parfum has.

great price, smells similar to le male le parfum but a bit less woody. Good overall scent profile that I can smell for hours. Great for evenings. I would consider repurchasing when out.

It smells like LLP and performs like it, also it has the same oil concentration as the original which is an EDP so it’s a good choice.

#Fragrance Journey 11 Picked this up for $15 and I have to agree with @Jeaq on this one. I will add a bit more from my own experience. Let’s be real for a second, are people really expecting niche quality for $15 these days? If that is the case, expectations might need a reset. For the price, this delivers more than enough. I gave this a full day of wear and the performance surprised me in a good way. It projects nicely and I kept catching whiffs of it while walking around. The mid to drydown is where I enjoy this scent the most. Although with my batch, I am not picking up much iris at all, but it is still smooth, clean and pleasant. Is JPG Le Parfum worth paying 7x - 8x more? For me, the answer is no. Not when something like this gives you a very similar vibe for a fraction of the price. This is my second fragrance from the house of Maison Alhambra and I can honestly say they are becoming a serious player in the clone world. I still personally lean more toward houses like Armaf, Afnan, and Rasasi, but at the end of the day it really depends on what scent profile you are looking for. Doing fragrance reviews has become a new hobby for me and something I am genuinely passionate about. I enjoy wearing these scents, seeing how they perform throughout the day, and sharing honest thoughts with no hype attached. If you are curious about this scent profile, this is absolutely a must try just to see if it clicks with you. Overall thoughts: Performance: 8/10 Sillage: 4/10 Projection 6.5/10 Value: 10/10

Having directly compared both, this is quite similar to Le Male Le Parfum. Somebody else smelling this on you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. And yet, there's something lacking. It has a certain cheap smell when compared to the rich, smooth notes of the original. Perhaps it's the quality of the ingredients. I do agree that the opening is somewhat unpleasant, but this fades fast. I actually have a similar issue with the original Elixir, but not the Parfum, so I'm disappointed to see it pop up here with this Parfum clone. Might be a Lavender thing. With how close they are, I cant really justify buying the original, but if you own neither, I definitely recommend going with Le Male Le Parfum instead. With the current prices here, I'd much rather spend an extra 10 bucks to get 75ml of Le Male instead of 100ml of this. The magic just isn't there.

A little bit more synthetic than LMLP and a lot cheaper. Unfortunately I'm not getting much performance from this one. It seems to disappear completely within two hours for me. I read Marshzcents review and I'm not getting that kind of performance at all, in fact I think it's weaker than LMLP. For me this is the kind of bottle I'd have to reapply several times over the day to keep the scent. Maison Alhambra tends to be a very hit and miss line and with such poor performance I'd probably consider this one more of a miss. I could only recommend it to teenagers who want to experiment with JPG DNA who can't afford the OG bottles anyway.

Has a similarity to Le Male Le Partum, but feels like it just happens to smell similar, rather than being a clone. To me the iris note in the opening smells EXACTLY like pencil graphite, which is very hard to get over and makes it less enjoyable. Other than that the opening is decent, with the strong iris and warm cinnamon/vanilla that builds up over time. The projection is pretty poor and the warm notes as a whole seem too light, as when the iris fades after about an hour the fragrance reduces to a skin scent.

So I've smelled both JPG and had this. Similar but JPG has some more vanilla. This is peppery, big time. There are other notes but it's dominant. It seems like a clubbing scent for 20's age range. It's not bad at all, it's masculine, I don't get the body odor smell mentioned. It's not my thing but it's close to something I would love just not it. Projection is good, idk longevity as I wore once.

Fragrance review #2. Cardamom note is extremely strong on this one, to the point of almost being the exclusive note for the first hour. Once a few hours have gone by and the projection has mainly died off the vanilla becomes apparent a little too late in the game. It is a little reminiscent of curry, not terrible, but not great.

Honest review: Don't buy this as a jpg le male la parfum clone this aint it, the opening is very harsh and has a heavy cardamom opening that lasts for a long time but when you wear it others told me it smells good, so idk buy it if you want.

It's actually good le male le parfum dupe but when i smell, it kinda feels like im smelling someone who really sweaty and wearing le male le parfum...

The scent quickly disappears from the skin. :( Didn't work for me. The scent isn't bad, but I wouldn't buy this again.

Has maybe 90% similar opening note to LMLP, a little synthetic but I think the original is pretty synthetic too. Smells a bit off after a couple hours of wearing. Lasts maybe 5 hours on my skin, lasts longer on clothes but you can only smell it if you put it right next to your nose. Would say in general it smells maybe 80% similar to LMLP but with moderate to weak projection and much less sillage. I would recommend to just spray a little more, but it might become incredibly irritating to the nose at first, but it will last longer. People say you need to macerate it. Might give that a try. 6.9/10

Got a sample a bit ago, and as of rn it's leans a lot more on the spicy accord of lmlp. the scent profile in general is js sharper. some people might like it, some people might find it more off-putting. i don't really smell any of the powderiness that lmlp had, it might be masked under the spiciness but i'll let it mature for a bit and see later.
