La Vita

I love this little cheapie gem. I’ve never smelled the Valentino it’s trying to dupe. It smells like iris, roses, and vanilla, and the combo reminds me of the smell of lipstick. It sweet yet not cloying. It’s neither light nor heavy. It’s an everyday lipstick scent that I reach for whenever I’m craving a touch of sweet femininity. My only criticism is that there’s nothing that particularly stands out with this fragrance - it’s a safe blind buy for those who are looking for an everyday, kind of generic perfume that is still pleasant!

This is absolutely gorgeous and feels like a wonderful cashmere sweater embracing you all day in cozy elegance. Imo this is extremely well balanced and blended. I loved it from the first sniff. Feminine, soft, earthy, yet gently sweet, very classic. I haven’t smelled the OG but this is lovely enough to stand alone. I would buy again and again.

The juice in this is soft pink. The bottle looks so gorgeous This smells so amazing! I don't have the OG. But I have 2 of BDIR flankers. Same top quality. I have so many from Maison Alhambra, and every one is top! I am so impressed with this house. Sometimes they need a week after initial spray to mature. You can not go wrong.

This is a great dupe for Valentino Donna. Mature, slightly sexy, earthy and feminine. I get a good 6 hours of weartime, and the sillage forms a nice bubble. The leather isn’t too masculine either. Donna performs about the same, so I’d buy this instead if you want to save money.

Love it. I have the real V Donna and this is an excellent dupe. The opening is slightly different but the dry down is 99% Donna. Some may even prefer it to the OG. And it’s got the best longevity I’ve ever had in a dupe. Absolutely fantastic.

I’m finally getting around to trying this even though I’ve had it since spring! I like to spray out some of my middle eastern scents and then leave them alone for months to mature and then come back to them. This worked out well in this case because I find this to be an absolutely amazing scent for this time of year! It’s gorgeous! I haven’t tried Donna but hope to have it soon to do a comparison. I don’t think it smells a lot like La Vie et belle but yet they share similar qualities. To me, that’s much spicier and stronger. It’s almost like it’s Tresor and LVEB are layered, but it’s softer than that combination would be. The patchouli, leather and vanilla base gives this such a sexy vibe, similar to the scents of the 90s that I adore! Great fragrance and a great price. Edit-I have since bought the OG Donna and fell in love!!! Absolutely stunning scent! It’s elegant and feminine and work appropriate and smells high end!! Since trying the original, I’ve been revisiting this and yes! It is pretty darn close!! I now wear this often and love it! I wear my less expensive scents for casual wear and save the OGs for dressier occasions! Sometimes I even use them together so I get longevity and nuances of both. This is near identical! I’d say there’s a very slightly less refined smell than the original but I would doubt the average person would be able to detect the difference!

This is a lovely and soft version of Valentino Donna. I own both fragrances and can confirm that they are very similar, especially when compared to the reformulated version of Donna, which feels watered down and less earthy. While La Vita is said to have a leather note, I can barely detect it. However, if you love the original Valentino Donna, you'll likely enjoy La Vita as well. Given the price, it's a great choice. Nose Note #144 It does smell a lot like La vie est Belle. Without looking at the notes I'd say it smells something like strawberry. A sweet smell, but rather simple. Memorable enough that I could straight away say it's a Lancome dupe I think it underperforms. Not much sillage and lasts 1-2 hours.

Really nice. Great value. It's really light but at the same time it reminds me of mosquito repellent if I overspray it, I don't know how to explain it. That smell goes away quickly tho. I wear this every day and I still didn't get sick of it. And I got a lot of compliments wearing it.

It is a good Dupe for V Donna. Not sure on the longevity or sillage I've only just purchased. I'm going to leave it for a few good months though to macerate like others. I feel this needs to mature.

The bottle I got of this is just terrible. I've given it at least 6 months to mature and develop, and dozens of tries during that time, and I'm at the point of giving up on it. There's an cheap acridness to this that reminds me of those old, old urinal cakes from 30 years ago. I don't know what happened to this bottle but it is nothing like La Vie est Belle or Donna. I'm going to try it for cleaning the bathroom and see if it's useful there (toilet spray or wiping down countertops) and if it's too toxic for that I'll just give this up for a loss and move on. I don't know what happened to this bottle I have when others give glowing reviews. I've gone through 3 bottles of older/vintage La Vie est Belle and may just have to check out how the current formulation is, but this ain't it.

When I got to test this perfume on my wrist, I was struck by the clear idea that this is something that I definitely own or used to own. I was mentally going through my collection, and, there, got you: Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal. I went to check the scent's profile here: bingo! These two are at least step-siblings! To be honest, I bought La Vita thanks to some TikTok influencers claiming it to be a dupe of Donna by Valentino (cannot say, never tried it, but it is on my wishlist). If you like (quite) strong, long-lasting, overwhelming (for some), earthy patchouli fragrances, La Vita is worth your time and, maybe, money. 😉 Yey, my first review ever!
