Luxe Journey

I’ve had multiple decants of nomad and this is instantly recognisable as that fragrance. Not quite as rich or long lasting but for the price is scratches that itch. I’ve had it a couple of weeks and I imagine it will get stronger. The bottle is better in person than I’d expected too. Notes listed here are totally wrong

I’ve never smelled Bond No 9 Nomad but I really really like this. The “burnt plastic” note referenced below is actually delicious and addicting to me. I associate it with oakmoss. Reminds me of the “dentist office” note in Bkr 540. This might be a new favorite.

The beginning is a nice floral opening that lasts all of 10 seconds to a minute, after that you need to deal with a weird burnt plastic note, just a distateful note, smells like disinfectant or antiseptic or animal pee or a mixture of all them together for a couple hrs before it fades into that sweet fruity base that does not last nearly long enough to make it worth it. Do not blindbuy.

1-Week Update: Now it smells like dark slightly-animalic oud plus a good dose of raspberry. Bleh. Smells like the 4-hour dry-down of LV Ombre Nomade without the leather, and with slightly-animalic of an oud. LV Ombre Nomade does this DNA better. Strong projection though. Winter only. Masculine. 1 week is still too soon though. Will wait for full maturation. Straight out of the box, it smells like a very dark western oud (not animalic) with just a bit of creamy vanilla and a very tiny bit of jammy rose. It's not sexy and only mildly pleasant for me. Not something I'd recommend to anyone. It's kind of like the Lancome Oud Bouquet DNA (an amazing DNA) with only 10% of the vanilla and rose aspect, so that the creamy and dark oud dominates. I have a feeling this bottle will change a lot with maturation. Will update my review.

Just received this as I have enjoyed luxe blanc and luxe emerald and nightlife and love them all. But yes the person below my msg was right the notes listed are wrong and do belong with luxe emerald. But it's meant to be the nomad. And I love this one equally as much as the others. It's definitely got a oudy touch but not barn yard out but I'm judging this from first spray you don't get the oud until the dry down. I noted this has violet in the notes and plan to try layering it with my dupe for Tom ford violet blond. But I like to experiment with my perfumes. But I will happily wear this as a stand alone. It is quite strong. The others last a good few hours on me and this will be the same and only get better with maturation.

These are the wrong notes for this one. These look very much like Greenwich Village notes and therefore belong with Luxe Emerald. I looked this/Luxe Journey up on some other websites(besides the sites just copying from Fragrantica, which many do) just to be sure and these are the true notes... Top Notes: Pear, Blackcurrant, Quince Heart Notes: Rose, Oud, Iris, Violet Leaves Base Notes: Amber, Vanilla, Sandalwood Which falls in line with Bond No9 NoMad notes(the one it's duping). ;)
