Sugar Me Carrot Cake

a very unusual gourmand that I'm surprised is not talked about more. There is a stage where I get a strong savoury note that I have never smelled before in a fragrance that is marketed as sweet. It smells EXACTLY like those little salty snack pretzels. The salt is so photorealistic I wonder how they did it. They just nailed that particular juicy, nutty deliciousness of a fresh moist carrot cake muffin that is sweet but also somehow savoury - the same kind of brain-exploding yumminess you get from crispy bacon drizzled with maple syrup for example. Totally unexpected. I hope it gets picked up more. I was taken aback at first but now I love it and can't get enough of it. Blind buy btw

I disagree slightly with the reviews below, as to me it smells very much like carrot cake- sweet, nutty, spiced cake vibe. But it’s one of those perfumes that I think will smell different on anyone who wears it. For instance, if there’s cinnamon in a perfume, my skin really amplifies it, but on my sister it tends to disappear. It’s a lovely, yummy perfume for gourmand lovers, but very soft and close to the skin. I’m hoping it will get stronger as it’s left to sit. Update (11/01/26): I bloody love this perfume! It lingers on my PJs for days! I can smell it when I walk into a room. It’s like icing sugar, with hazelnut and a touch of ginger. One of my new favourites!

Honestly idk why people are writing mixed reviews, saying they dont smell carrot cake. It very much smells like one. Literally smells like a cinamonny carrot cake or macaron with a creamy sugary frosting. It's genuinely one of the most, if not the most unique smelling scents i ever smelled in the perfume world. It surprisingly lasts a long time and is really nice to pair with some other gourmandy perfumes. Date Caramel by Paris Corner is like an older more serious sibling to Carrot Cake. Carrot Cake is more playful and gentle. Very cozy and sweet.

I LOVE a carrot cake, who wouldn’t want to smell like a freshly baked, decadent, icing topped treat? It’s a very nutty scent and although I avoid nutty scents because i DETEST marzipan, I feel like this one works so well. It’s sweet, has personality and the profile is so layered. This one is a winner. It achieves the mission of resembling a carrot cake scent. The opening is cinnamon heavy and nutty. As it dries down it very closely resembles Rabbit by Zoologist. I was shocked to discover that but the almond scent and sandlewood (i think*) mix into a scent that is close to hay. It gets compliments, projects about arms length for the first 30 mins and lasts a max of like 5 hours. I would repurchase it. I dig it

Really really wanted to try this so I purchased and I am so pleased I did. It is sweet and carroty and nutmegy and cream cheese-y and it’s just like being slathered in carrot cake batter. It is just something different to try. Non cloying and no weird alcohol scent even on first spray, it was perfect. It’s winter in Aus and I’m wearing atm with the heater on, so pleasant. Very pleased.

It is a lovely perfume. Everyone is different, but to me really smells like a carrot cake. The smell is delicate, not overpowering. I collect gourmand perfumes and I am always looking for something different, finally a new gourmand. I just have a sample, but will upgrade to a full bottle.

I was actually surprised this perfume is rated so low. It smells like carrot cake with cinnamon, almonds and cream cheese frosting. It is not very long lasting, but for the price it is a really lovely perfume.

A fun gourmand perfume that isn't overly sweet and that heavy on vanilla. Definitely smells like carrot cake, although it took me a few wears to notice it. Fresh out of the box it didn't smell good, but it has improved significantly. The projection and sillage are really decent, especially if you aren't skimpy on the sprays. Clings well to my clothes and my jacket. The opening is quite sharp and a tad alcohol-y, but it's really the only con of this scent.

This smells like a carrot cake; first thing that his me into face was an almond, it hit me quite hard and then heavy cinnamon. I believe it can be too much for some. It is very gourmand so you need to be into sweet fragrances like Italica. I like it, I find it unique.

Grabbed this and ‘Pistacho Chocolate’ after my initial purchase of half the line. You know, just in case I was missing something. 🤭 ‘Carrot Cake’ is sweet but not excessively dense that you cannot wear it. Unfortunately I don’t get the classic spiced cake confection here. Honestly not picking up any Carrot in general, but since this is still moderately interesting and I really don’t have any (non Pistachio) Nut centered fragrances, I’m not too upset. The Almond is the star nut, but there are other nuts hanging out here. ‘Marzipan’ or ‘Macaron’ would have been a more apt name for such a super nutty dessert sensory experience. Fun and undeniably gourmand, but just okay. Not really reflective of the namesake to me. I was hoping to have something Carrot forward to pair with my favorite Snif body mist, ‘Spray Tan.’ 🤧

Um... Idk what to say... Ok... It smells like my grandma's carrot cake and she always puts extra nuts and cinnamon... So yes 1 to 1!!! But... Is it good for a perfume... I wouldn't say so... Definitely not wearable as it's 100% like a dessert!!!

I went into this expecting a very literal take on carrot cake, but Sugar Me Carrot Cake goes in a different direction. It sits firmly in the cozy gourmand space, but it stays soft and restrained rather than rich or sugary. On my skin, I don’t get carrots or actual carrot cake at all. It smells more like oats soaked overnight in milk with a touch of light brown sugar and cinnamon. The almond note reads powdery and soft, and there’s a faint hint in the background that reminds me of gingersnap cookies. Oddly enough, I also smell plastic bandaids. Or an old school pharmacy in the Caribbean. Very specific, I know, but that's what I smell. As it dries down, there's vanilla and a light touch of sandalwood that add warmth, but also very lightly. Performance is weak right now. It stays close to the skin with modest longevity. I wish it had a bit more strength, and I’m curious to see if it deepens with time. With Maison Alhambra continuing to raise prices, I paid around $35 for this, it doesn’t quite feel worth that price point. I don't hate it, but I'm also not impressed. F.Y.I, this smells nothing like Jo Malone's Ginger Biscuit or B&BW Sweer Carrot Cake.

i really tried to like this but its a no for me. yes, it smells like carrot cake but there is something plasticky/synthetic on my skin that i cant get pass... very disappointed because im a gourmand girly😔...

I am not sure how to feel about this scent. On the first sniff i get a very strong marzipan note, something slightly alcoholic and a sweetness similar to dates. A bit like Lattafa Kamrahs soft little sister. After about 10 minutes the carrot cake starts to appear. It is a bit spicy as the cinnamon note is pretty powerful. There is something sharp about it that I can't quite place (maybe also the cinnamon?). An idea of hazelnut. Vanilla singing in the background. As there are multiple comments saying it needs time, I will put it in time out for a week or two and come back to it.

Carrot cake is my favorite dessert but I couldn’t smell any carrot in this😔 This is more of a nutty dessert than anything. Heavy on the hazelnut. Sweeter than carrot cake too and way more cinnamon. The cake accord came across like rice for me. This is great for those that like sweet rice and nutty perfumes, it just didn’t remind me of a carrot cake.

I don’t get carrot cake from this, which is why I bought it. I saw reviews saying it smelled just like carrot cake...lies. This is primarily a nutty cinnamon with something creamy/milky. It smells like a cross between Angles Share and Navitus Vanilla Eclat.

It NEEDS maceration at least one week, at first it smells like pure water and sugar, horrible, that's it. Of course, it changed completely and a week after it smells as it should- exactly like carrot cake!

I enjoyed this perfume in my collection, smells like marzipan with nutty nuances. It's a soft fragrance , I can only smell it if my arm is near my nose unfortunately
