Toro Pour Homme

Being a big fan of TDH Parfum, Eau Givree, and Intense Vetiver, I was really impressed with this perfume. For me, it has been quite a while since I've smelled the OG TDH, so I can only compare it to the TDH Parfum. First, there's nothing synthetic smelling about this fragrance, (obviously, it has synthetics in it like every perfume out there). But you're not getting some weird lemon pledge or something like that.Not at all. Straight away, I get that sour flint note from the OG with the citrus top, grapefruit, orange oil, and some bergamot. The pepper is there too. For me, the OG is a weak performer and I'd say this isn't better or worse. After that initial opening, which creates a very nice-smelling bubble around you for a short period of time, it goes quickly into a skin scent. Lots of ISO Super at play. If you like any of that DNA, it's an easy blind buy. For me, the quality is nearly the same as the PArfum, which is the only thing I have to compare it to at the moment (and they are similar in scent profile). Perfomance also seems to be the same, maybe projects a bit more than the Parfum, and I'll likely not buy the Parfum again because of how similar the profiles are.

#976 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I just realized this the 64th bottle of Maison Alhambra I've purchased. More than any other perfume maker. And I've only passed on six. This is a great dupe of Terre de Hermes, the EDT, not the Parfum. I actually gave away the Parfum as it was kinda simple and uninteresting compared to the more complex Eau de Toilette, and I gave away the Eau de Toilette, as I did almost all of the EDTs I purchased, over performance. The performance here is more satisfying than the Hermes EDT, but not up to the level of the Parfum. Still, makes it too lunch, barely, but I only paid $16 dollars for this so can't complain. If you haven't experienced Terre de Hermes at all, this is one of your many choices to do so on the cheap. Sapil Legend, which I got for $15 is a more exact copy. Rasasi Fattan cost me $23, but it's also close enough. It's a citrus aromatic scent, a little on the sour side, but I think works anywhere for any purpose. So pick one of these very wearable scents. They're all safe blind buys.

Edit: Something interesting happened today. Got another bottle of this for a ridiculous price online, for about 9 euros. Straight out of the box, i sprayed it a couple of times, left two sprays on a napkin and put the bottle away. The napkin in my room kept projecting to me further inspecting it. And i just might believe, that this batch has a better performance, both longevity and projection wise, brand new and without any maturation, than my other bottle which has been sitting on my shelf for at least 2 years. Not only that but the scent smells more ''rounded'' out, they slightly enhanced the pressurizer and the cap is a bit tighter - than my first bottle. And it has not matured yet. Goes to show the variety in batches, but this is for sure a love now from me. I'm a TdH lover and this one of course lacks the smooth quality of the original, but still, who needs TdH when you have this for 1/10-1/15 the price point.

I got my hands on two fragrances over the past few days, Nobody Knows by Zara and this one (Toro by Maison Alhambra), and was very surprised how well they layer together. Toro by MA has an elegant orange opening but this is not your usual citrus blast. It's classy and stylishly not zingy. The grapefruit adds a sourness but doesn't take away the rind-like orange loveliness. As it dries down you get a slight spicy pepper and a comforting dose of deep vetiver. Bloody yummy! The real revelation came when I paired Toro with Nobody Knows, it became a whole new beast. The orange notes of Toro remain over the top as NK dries down to add coconutty complexity and palo vibes. You end up with a luxurious orange-wood-leather concoction I think you can wear all year round. Beautiful, powerful, unisex and safisticated. An absolute winner 🏆

Toro Pour Homme by Maison Alhambra is, for me, the biggest surprise from this house—especially since their fragrances usually struggle with projection. Here, however, the scent opens with the crisp, earthy-citrus DNA of Terre d’Hermès, executed with impressive balance and clarity. I'm usually not a fan of mature scents, but this one is the exception. I always liked TDH, smells classy, serious, sofisticated. But my gf hates mature fragrances with a burning passion, so i thought i'd never be able to buy TDH. Once this clone appeared with great reviews and a $13 price tag i had to jump on it. This is very similar. A bit more orange citrus and less vetiver actually makes this slightly less mature, which is a pro for my gf. She still doesn't like it, but at least she doesn't hate this one which means i'll be able to use it. Performance isn't great, but i wasn't expecting great performance from a freshie. This one lasts about 4-5 hrs on skin, which for the price is more than enough.

Wearing today in the office. Got two compliments from executive staff. Very similar to TdH. A very good inexpensive clone. Considering when it came out and how accurate many new clones are today, I wasn't expecting much. I was definitely surprised. Definitely office safe. The vetiver is prominent. Nice realistic citrus with a rind touch. For the price, it clearly outperforms the price. I will check back in for longevity. Currently it has been hours and it is my personal bubble is still noticeable. Feel free to use extra sprays. I am enjoying the scent. I do use many clones to experience this art and this is a good one. That being said, smell TdH before just blind buying.

Honestly this a great alternative to the OG the only difference is the OG is more smoothly blended and the orange blast you get in the top notes is more natural, the vetiver is slightly stronger and rougher in Toro. In the air it's identical, I would even say Toro last longer too, projection is about the same, I guess it depends on how much you spray. Also the OG is a little more extra and not by too much. I'm a 40+ male and have a rugged appearance, I pull it off well, this scent in my opinion isn't for everyone, you have to have a certain vibe, but I also believe in wear what you like how you like 👍🏻 10/10

nicochacin - brilliant review, by the way, and I agree with pretty much everything you said. You've described the nuances of this brilliant fragrance and, as a fellow fan of TDH, this has plenty to offer in its own merits as an alternative if you want the vibe of TDH although it isn't 1:1 the same. A slight disagreement on the sillage and performance. I think it has quite impressive longevity and trail, especially if compared to TDH EDT. Although Toro is in no way as good as TDH, I think its performance is slightly better.

Second review on this but I just have to say, this stuff is amazing! I love TdH and I would say it is one of my favourite fragrance profiles of all time. But this stuff is up there and I'm saying that seriously. This has complexity and depth like TdH, and it has the longevity and sillage. What's not to like? If you like TdH, you should be scooping this up by the bucket-load. Not all of it though, save some for the rest of us!

Terre d'Hermès EDT clone and I think I prefer this one to my Rasasi Fattan. Sharp dirty orange and grapefruit with some vetiver already in the open, peppery geranium in the heart bringing out the earthiness, into a base of lots of vetiver with accompanying cedar and patchouli. It's a fantastic Summer scent that I think will probably inspire people to pick up a bottle of TDH as well once they get to know the profile.

My cousin gave me a small vial of the original Terre D'hermes when I was a kid, I absolutely fell in love with it. Ever since I've forgotten the name, while scrolling through fragrantica I found this dupe, I'm found out it was Terre D'hermes that my cousin gave me, so I finally bought this. Smells exactly the same as I remember, and it's very very nice. 9.5/10, whish it was a little stronger

From my experience, only get this to spray on yourself before you meet someone or go to a function. This lasts under hour with one spray and if I overspray, it's not much longer than that. Bottle is great and so is the atomizer. This perfume costs about $14 where I live, but I could get this scent cheaper going into one of the perfume oil shops.

This is an extremely well done TDH clone. It isn't 1:1, but it captures the DNA quite well. The opening citrus notes recreate the orange zest like bitterness and grapefruit sweetness really well, but it lacks the depth from the flint. It also has a heavier vetiver in the dry down. Solid projection for 2 hours and lasts up to 8 hours on my skin.

Citrus bomb! A nice all-purpose spring/summer scent. A pretty accurate clone of Terre de Hermes for less than $20, so this is hard to beat. Lasts 4-6 hours with light projection. It's inexpensive, so overspray to your heart's content. This is a really nice warm weather, casual, office scent. Good bang for your buck. Would I buy again? Yes.

Very good alternative to THM but with more Citrus opening, the vetever is very nicely done in this one. Huge alcohol blust for 5 Seconds the. After it settles doy. Can't go wrong for $18 clone with nice presentation and sprayer. Lasts on me good 6~7 hours with great projection for 2 hours. Mature Fresh and Soapy Rating: 8/10

Vale muito a pena no lugar da sua referência There de Hermés, conheço a referência e posso dizer que em cheiro não há grandes mudanças, e sim na performance que essa sim é mais fraca porém pelo custo benefício justifica uma reaplicação a cada 4 ou 5 horas. Frasco bonito robusto e fixação interessante perde na projeção. 7/10

I can't say enough about this one, not for the younger crowd in my opinion, this is a older man's freshie, I personally grab for this the most in summer, I will even wear it in cooler days, the vetiver and dirty citruses are just a 10/10 all I can say is you won't regret purchasing this one, casual elegance in a bottle

Can't really comment on how close to the Hermes this one is, since I'd have to recall tdh from memory ( but if I were to rely on memory, I'd say I can't recall terre dhermes smelling any different :) ), but overall it's a very pleasant smell, performance is not bad at all.

I disagree with the votes. In my opinion the sillage is strong on this one and to me the longevity is long lasting. When I first smelled this all I could smell was vetiver but now I get mostly citrus. Honestly this stuff is very underrated. 8/10.

Don't miss out on this gem. Smells exactly like the OG Terre D'Hermes. The drydown is just beautiful. Performs a good 5-6 hours and that's totally okay for the price you're paying. Just reload it after a couple hours if need be. No complaints.

Nose Note #602 Smells just like the OG, and honestly I think it lasts just the same. I don't get crazy performance out of Terre d'Hermes. But the smell, the smell!!! Perfect replacement for the OG. 10/10

Good "clone" of TDH EDT although smelling a bit cheaper (it IS cheaper). I always wore TDH and that is a fragrance I know very well. This clone didn't disappoint in fact

This is a perfect clone of TDH. Clean, fresh and crisp. Lasts a super long time even in high heat. Definitely a blind buy and a super hit at the price point.

A beautiful classic perfume that looks like the original, but it has a touch of cardamom. I don't know why it wasn't mentioned in the ingredients.

As others have said, I sprayed Hermes on one wrist, Toro on the other... 90% closeness. The Hermes was perhaps a little stronger and brighter.

Mind blowing perfume. I don't have Terre d'Hermes. But after having this now I am in love with the DNA. Simply outstanding.

It's a very appealing combination of citrus, wood, incense, spice, herbal and vetiver aromas that reveals itself to bemore complex than first whiff would indicate. It takes its time to reveal itself and comes off as both classic and modern in style. Quite a good balancing act. With this said, it does lack the famously strong orange opening note from the original. Toro is best for more mature users as I can't see younger users taking to this. I would recommend the Versencia line from Maison Alhambra instead which are clones of the Versace Eros line based on my own personal observations of young men in Sephora stores and what they gravitate towards. Toro Pour Homme is very good for all formal occasions and professional environments, such as school, work and interviews. It's classy and mature and is best suited for users where its wearer wants to give that impression. It's very affordable and dead on to the original that it's cloning. Note that performance is weak but to be fair so is the original. This requires overspraying on first use and respraying throughout the day.

Got it because my TDH is running low and I'd like to try some other options. Great for the price($20 but at $40 I would be looking for other options as the original can be bought for $80 at discounters) with a generous amount (100ml) - but you're going to need it as the longevity is quite short. On the initial spritz you get those strong TDH vibes with a strong synthetic citrus opening - not as off putting as CDN, sorry to disagree, its pleasant enough; more soapy on the drydown than TDH. After two hours the scent really dies down and is a woody skin scent for the next four hours. So this is a date night scent when you apply it and someone's there with you and you walk out the door. If you're driving to pick them up for dinner, by the time you finish dinner, it will be pretty much done unless you are snuggling.. Now I don't have the most powerful sense of smell, so maybe its me. Hopefully with time it will maturate and strengthen. Otherwise I expect I'm going to overspray and use it for those days in fall when I want to wear something just for a little while, but plan on either going to bed soon, or putting on a different scent in the evening. You could wear it to the office, but it won't last past lunch hour. Sometimes I like changing my scent from day to evening, so that's OK by me. If you're looking for something adjacent, but not exact, Le Falcone's Autograph has 60-70% TDH DNA but I believe leans closer to Roja's Burlingon 1819 which is a similar scent to TDH. Mankind Unlimited by Kenneth Cole also shares the same DNA but is much more of a freshie and lasts 7-8 hours which is a surprise.

From memory, this is really close to the OG. Of course it’s not as natural but it statisfies my citrus and vetiver cravings. Mature scent, just like the OG and it’s definitely not for beginner noses but this doesn’t mean it’s only for older people... When I’ve tried TdH 2-3 years ago I didn’t like it at all. Nowadays I find myself reaching for Toro more and more often. 1-2 months on your shelf as usual will make the scent profile more refined, longevity of my botte is a bit above average now, sillage is medium for around 2 hours. Prices of TdH have gone up since the past year so a 100ml bottle now costs €76 here in the EU. Toro on the other hand has been on sale when I’ve bought it so I’ve paid only €9 for the bottle. That’s more than 8 times as cheap so with this price difference I have to give this fragrance a 10/10 rating. Not my favorite citrusy scent but it’s a fabolous clone with performance also being close to the OG.

Maison Alhambra version of Terre D'Hermès Had to re-write this review because it was kinda messy. I tried this fragrance before I'd ever heard of Terre D'Hermès, and it became my daily wear. BUT There is something in the opening that I find unpleasant, like a sharp synthetic citrus type of smell, so I ordered a sample of TDH Le Parfum to see if I was missing out on a better fragrance, and I surely was. TDH Parfum outperforms this in every way imaginable. The citrus opening is smoother and blended better. It lasts longer. It morphs. The difference is great enough to justify the difference in price, so with this one, you get what you pay for. This is worth it for around $20 USD. Any higher and the TDH Parfum becomes the better deal. Trust.

Perfume with a very pleasant fragrance, a little strong in the early 60s, but soon after it becomes extremely pleasant. Feeling of cleanliness, fresh, airy, for me who live in the Bahian capital (Salvador) and it is a hot climate, it comes in very handy. However, in terms of performance, it leaves a LOT to be desired! It projects moderately for approximately an hour, and fixed for about four hours, four and a half hours to a maximum of five hours. Taking into account the price I paid for it (139.90 BRL plus shipping costs) it was well worth it. I recommend it for "quick outings" on hot days, such as a walk with your pet, a run, a bike ride on the bike path or even to go to the gym. Overall: 6.5 - 7/10

Has a bit of an alcohol kick but its a great lemon wood scent. Honestly it stays after a shower if you applied 2h prior and after scrubbing. I expect it last long even in the heat. Heavy lemon start. That infuses the base wood giving them a wooden chopping board smothered in lemon and lemon peels. Making it a dark citrus scent that fresh and masculine but also like a brooding no nonsense man. The woody base give this extreme longevity that will last through the heat but it won't be projecting far after 2hl hours. In the late stages it develops a slight sweetness and the lemon leaves the wood completely and lightens the broodiness of the dark citrus mid.

TdH was my first signature scent, so I'm quite familiar with it. This was unexpectedly close to the OG. In the air, it would be really hard to tell a difference. However, there's something just a bit 2-dimensional in Toro in comparison with the OG. TdH - altho a more simple, linear scent - carries some sort of information and detail that are just not present here. It's a very subtle difference. This is like 90-95% close, but those 5-10% are the "magic" that makes the original what it is, and what's missing here. I need to repurchase the OG or the Parfum, but I don't feel the pull to replace it with this. 🙂🍻 p.s. I've never smelled Fattan

TDH Parfum is my all-time favorite fragrance, and this captures 85 percent of it. This is a great deal and you can spray away. What is missing? The unique flint note and the some of the longevity of TDHP. I sprayed it 6 times. 2 on each arm, one on neck, one on chest and one on shirt. Maybe more sprays might help it? idk. You can tell the difference, but this still has a pleasant, masculine, seductively bitter, and earthen orange vibe. 8/10. Would be a 9 if it had the flinty note and lasted 1-2 more hours.

(Toro Pour Homme Maison Alhambra) A clone of the OG Terre d'Hermès Hermès. This perfume has a strong vetiver note that smells smoky and dusty. there is a slight orange note but it's not strong, however, it mixes well with the vetiver. I like how it smells on the skin especially when it's hot outside, might smell strong if you spray too much. longevity is around 6 hours, projection is moderate. not my favorite, and definitely not mass-appealing. Sillage: 7.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Scent: 6/10 Overall: 7/10

Decent cheap clone of Terre de Hermes on a shoestring budget. I can definitely smell the difference but I doubt the average person would really notice. Performance is good enough at 4-6 hours, kind of a no brainer for $15, but anyone that actually knows frags wel will be able to tell the difference, lacks the depth and sophistication of TDH, but gives a pretty good approximation of 85% of the DNA, that last 15% is definitely where some of the "magic" of TDH resides.

I'd say that Toro Pour Homme is very linear and smells just like the opening of Terre d'Hermes thoughout. This does not evolve into the drydown or change the longer it sits on your skin like Terre d'Hermes. Longevity is 4-5 hours for me, you may notice a hint of orange but it just screams Vetiver imo. Projects just a bit further than intimate. If you love the opening of TdH try it for the price, if you wear/like TdH for the evolution then look elsewhere.

Very similar to OG Terre, HOWEVER like any other perfume from Maison Alhambra it is too diluted. They only serve to remember or get to know the fragrance, but not to perfume you, as it is very close to the skin.

I don't know what is going on but this fragrance has extremely low performance. I only get 2-3 hours of longevity from it, and it also doesn't project. I really love the scent but this is a NO for me.

Do you like more orange? Buy this clone. Else try find something else. Good blance and if you're not a fragracehead it's good if u want a cheaper alternative.

In one word, it smells like lemongrass to me. Comment if you feel the same. It's not complicated, just plain citrusy root. I like it for a casual wear.

Smells like pepper. No woods, orange, grapefruit, etc found. I cannot recommend you buy this. There are many better MA frags.
