Victorioso Legend

Top accord is NOT Fresh Spicy. Fragrantica should create an accord called ‘Dark Marine’. Anyway, that’s not why I came here, it’s just something I just noticed. What I came to say is that since I’ve gotten this, I’m not as enthusiastic about marines anymore. You know how they say ‘this ruined that for me’, as in it is THAT good. Yeah, it’s that good. But it hasn’t ‘ruined’ marines for me. It’s that since I’ve gotten it, I feel satisfied. I am no longer in pursuit of more marines. There are probably a few more that I wanna get my nose on, but other than that, I’m satisfied. I remember the ecstacy of the first time I sprayed a replica of Invictus which made me fall in love with this genre. The high, the amazement, the beholding of something truly beautiful and being engulfed in it. I sound soapy and melodramatic but haven’t you felt something like that since you got into this hobby? Some fragrances are like that.. they’re transfixing. The have the power of suspending time. There should be a word in the English language for ‘overwhelming, but in a good way’. That’s what it was. It also smelled and felt.. electric, and bright. Myth smells the opposite: it’s almost depressing, and exhausting, as if it’s sapping your energy.. but it, too, is also beautiful in its own way. Some snob or another out there will disagree. They will scoof at how I’m describing this sub-$50 perfume. There are those among us that would like to think they’re better than you. They buy niche and reserve this type of language for obscure, ‘artisinal’ perfumes. They could never allow themselves to love a designer cologne, let alone a replica. They tie their taste with branding and, more than anything else, what they’re sold is a feeling of superiority. They don’t care what’s in the bottle.. in fact, they’re almost incapable of experiencing a perfume as is if nothing else is telling them how they ‘should’ feel about it. Their judgment is ready-made and pre-packaged for them. They just need to be told a beautiful lie that soothes them: most people wouldn’t ‘get it’ and you’re so special for ‘getting it’. Getting to them to give an honest, favorable opinion of a popular or cheap cologne is like asking them to shit in their own bed. It’s not that rich people have poor taste.. it’s that rich people have no taste. You can disagree with me on this one, and you can be into niche all you want, but if you don’t have a single ‘cheap’ or ‘popular’ fragrance in your top 10.. well, do I need to say more. I didn’t mean for this to get derailed into a hit-piece.. snobs are just easy to make fun of. Anyway, (a replica of) Invictus started my marine journey, Victorioso Myth/Legend might conclude it (itself a replica of Invictus Legend— I’m genuinely just realizing they’re both an Invictus!). I’m not saying these two have between them everything there is to love about this genre.. if that was the case, people wouldn’t still be making and buying marines. It’s just that I no longer feel the urge to try every marine out there, which is the feeling that Invitcus left me with when it opened the door to all the possibilities out there. Maybe I haven’t yet smelled what would’ve became my favorite marine.. and I am okay with that. This thought struck me today: what if it isn’t the man that chooses the perfume but the perfume that chooses the man. It’s not like we can try everything that is out there so inevitably fate must be involved. And us trying and blind-buying a cologne after another is but a mere attempt at outrunning or outperforming fate. Call it addiction or have you but aren’t we living the lie that we CAN try everything? Maybe its the perfume that chooses the man and we should let fate decide. For all you know, the perfumes you already love are the perfumes you’ll ever love the most. And if not, how many more must you try? I don’t know about you but I’m happy about my marines.. I also have a citrus that I feel the same way about. I’m now mainly looking for my oud, iris, vanilla, and aquatic. I’m not restricting myself.. on the contrary, I feel free and unshakled. I am no longer a prisoner of my own desires and hopes and fantasies. A YouTube video I watched some time ago was talking about how in art people experience a “jolt of recognition” or something like, when something truly connects with them. It’s as if you ‘recognize it’. I’m now reminded of that notion. Now if I get a whiff of something stunning that stops me at tracks and I ‘recognize it’, I will get it as long as I can muster up the courage to follow a stranger and ask them what they’re wearing. That’s also fate.

There’s a certain beauty in fragrances that aren’t too eager to please.. fragrances that just exist with their own distinctive appeal that just say: “hey, I’m not for everybody. This is what I am and you rock with me or you don’t.” Not to say that this is some ultra out-there niche or anything... Here’s what I mean. I was shopping for this one today and I ran across Khamra Qahwa, which (I guess) is supposed to be a toned down and coffee-accented Khamra— I haven’t tried the original so I don’t have that frame of reference. I was a little impressed by it, for sure, but it was clear that’s what it was trying to do. It was hellbent on having me - having everybody - like it. What’s interesting about it was buried under a heap of sweetness, like an insecure precious kid afraid to nerd out about his Lego collection and instead pretends to have seen last night’s football match so he would fit in with his friends and wouldn’t stand out and be judged for it. The sweetness wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t ‘itself’. And maybe they’d kept it because it was a unisex scent and they felt the need to not estrange the ladies, but it would’ve been bolder and more fitting to see the brilliant vision to its natural conclusion. This does exactly that. It is focused and has character. It isn’t pretending to be what it isn’t for anyone’s sake and it isn’t bothered by stepping on anyone’s toe to be what it is. What does it actually smell like? The ocean floor. The opening of another clone (different brand) of the original Invictus smelled like jolting crashing waves.. this smells like the calm, dark, deep ocean just beneath. It will not wow you at first spray (too alcoholic), but give it a few minutes and the scent will emerge, and then it will slowly deepen and darken as if you’re being pulled down by a heavy anchor to the bottom of the sea. It is deep, and dark, but not in the way you’re probably thinking. It isn’t heavy or potentially cloying; it just runs its theme to the ground in a daring, self-assured way while being admirable and attractive. This isn’t your typical aquatic, marine, fresh fragrance.. these are the categories it would naturally be associated with, but that’s not really its camp. It isn’t bright or refreshing. It’s not summery or tropical. It won’t remind you of fresh laundry or vacation. It smells more like sitting at the beachside at night and gazing at the sea in deep thought. To me, it’s a season-less nighttime (or cool/cold hazy, cloudy daytime) fragrance that calls for adventure. It is a marine take on the nighttime perfume ‘genre’; instead of vanilla, or oud, or some other tired note.. how about the ocean instead. Quite a remarkable beast. Despite (or as proof of) everything I’ve said, I hesitated to put it as ‘love’ because it throws you so little bone. Like I said, it isn’t in the business of trying to appease people and I respect that. I believe it’s the type of fragrance that grows on you with time. I think it works best with high body heat. But, generally, the performance on skin hasn’t been great for me. But this has happened to me more than once with different fragrances where other people notice it and I don’t, so take this with a grain of salt.

#13 Review of My Fragrances Collection Its a cheapie fresh fragrance, dupe of Invictus. I get it Rp255.000 (5-16 Dollar) and with discount voucher so Rp217.000 (13 Dollar). A very good fresh, aquatic, citrus fragrance, its fresh fragrance but have good longevity and project better than any of fresh cheap fragrance out there. This is just Amazing fragrance. Scent: 8./10 Longevity: 6/10 Projection: 7/10 Price Value: 8/10

I blind bought this fragrance with some doubts in my mind so when I sprayed it on me, completely blown away by the smell and the atomizer performance. Whatever doubts you have in your mind, remove them. It also lasts very long and I could still smell it as I’m walking which is rare for me since I can’t smell any fragrance on me after 2 hours. Honest opinion? Buy it and don’t think twice about it. It’s that good.

Feel like I need to mention just how much my mother loves this on me. Everytime I spray it on, she says I smell phenomenal. Says it smells expensive (Dior Sauvage/YSL Y level), to her inexperienced nose. Performs beastly for the first hour then mellows down to an arm's length for 7-8 more hours. Puts my YSL Y EDP to shame. And to think I got it for $17.

This smells exactly like Invictus Legend and I am so glad that Maison Alhambra/Lattafa made a dupe of it since the OG was discontinued. This is my absolute favorite out of the Victorioso line and I highly recommended getting this if you enjoy freshies. Super safe blind buy. This could be worn anytime, but its perfect for Spring/Summer.

Cheekily renamed to Victorioso Myth now, this juice is phenomenal on the first spray. Strong, lasting, and absolutely comparable to the likes of Invictus Legend and the new Parfum. Stronger performance than the latter too, dare I say. Hats off to Alhambra.

This is now called victorioso myth. This whole line is fantastic. I own all 3 and they are all spot on. Projection and sillage are great for a fragrance of this type. Do yourself and favor and buy all 3 for less than 50 bucks total. 9.5/10

Brilliant scent and brilliant performance. This last days for a sweet, fresh type of scent. Back up bottle worthy , though some may say it's a bit for the teenage crowd. Personally I love it!

My current goto spring/summer daily wear. Strong projection and longevity is impressive for being a freshy, 6-8 hour. Soapy, fresh, marine and salty (though not overpowering).

This stuff is potent for a freshie. I have the myth version that I got almost a year ago. Lasts a long time and above average sillage. 9.5/10.

As someone who typically steers clear of fresh and aquatic fragrances, Maison Alhambra Legend (Myth) has managed to carve out a notable exception in my collection, and for good reason. This isn't your typical breezy aquatic; instead, it presents a more mature and decidedly refined take on the Invictus profile. The bay leaf note, while fleeting, offers a truly captivating and aromatic lift in the opening. That brief but bright herbal nuance sings beautifully before gracefully receding. Having allowed this fragrance to macerate on my shelf throughout the winter season, I'm now experiencing its full potential as I introduce it into the spring. The performance has become beastly, and the overall composition has rounded out considerably, losing any initial rough edges. The base develops into a clean and comforting white musk, evoking the pleasant aroma of freshly washed and pressed laundry, even carrying a hint of that warm, steamy iron sensation. One of the key distinctions of Legend (Myth) is its judicious use of citrus. While the grapefruit is clearly present, it avoids the overly sharp or zesty character that can often dominate fresh fragrances. This restraint allows the other notes to shine through more effectively. Ultimately, for its price point, Maison Alhambra Legend (Myth) is a truly solid performer – a 'banger' that delivers a more grown-up and compelling interpretation of a popular style. If you appreciate the Invictus DNA but desire a more substantial and nuanced experience, this is definitely worth exploring, even if, like me, fresh and aquatic scents aren't usually your go-to.

This one is one of the blind buys I was actually most impressed by considering how cheap you can find a bottle of this for. The scent itself is pretty straightforward and is probably close to what you would expect. A pleasant aquatic blue freshie that has prominent and somewhat unique salt and bay leaf notes that give it a pinch more of a unique DNA. Its nothing insane, but a very nice dumb reach for hotter days or going to the gym. Mass appealing to the highest degree, this is one of the most linear and simple scents I own, but its still gotten me lots of compliments. The strongest features its got are its excellent price and performance. This is cheaper than many of the Middle Eastern freshie clones, but also has a very impressive longevity and projection that is superior to those same clones. Blind buy safe, I would only not recommend to those who already have LOTS of aquatic freshies like this, or to those who only enjoy more complex fragrances.

I have never smelled Invictus legend so I won't compare this clone to that. First initial blast is very good. You get the sea notes and it's very sweet and fresh. That amber and grapefruit sweetness are there and there is a light saltiness in the beginning that goes away fairly quick. I think the bay leaf gives it an herbal cooling effect. Once it calms down you can sense the woodiness in the background and it smells good quality for a clone. Great summer dumb reach. This lasts 8-10 hours. Projects strong for like an hour then sits closer to the skin but has a good sillage and you will get whiffs of it throughout the day. A little synthetic sure but lasts good amount of time, smells good, and its cheap. Target audience is teenager to mid 20's but anybody can wear this TBH. This can be a little boring if you use it too much but it's good for summer rotation P.S. they changed the name to Myth now instead of Legend but it's the same juice.

I just got Victorioso Myth yesterday so my opinions will change as this ages, but so far I'll say that off that rip this is super soapy and harsh. Not well blended at all. Now on skin it's much better and the sweetness does come out. The drydown has a nice spicey note to it and that opening blast of salty soap fades away. It's already becoming a skin scent after about an hour, but im sure this will improve a lot after maturation. I am curious if Myth is a reformulated after changing names from "Legend." Fragtubers have said its the same same, but I have my doubts as I've heard Legend described as being sweeter with some similarities to the original Invictus with a more aquatic marine accord.

Victorioso Legend Its very similar to the original Paco Rabbane Invictus legend however this is thicker in my opinion. Its fresh,sweet and has alot of Florals in the opening. After macerating for 3 weeks the florals came out alot more. Lasting is good 5-7 hrs easily. Projection isnt the greatest tho id say for the first 1.5 hrs it projects within arms reach then becomes subtle. Overall if youre looking for a Clone of Invictus legend. This is the one. Spray atleast 10-15 times for compliments!

Heavily disagree with Cole. Not that potent, I get around 5 hours of longevity with soft to medium projection in the first two hours. The bay leaf note is very prominent in the opening but fades quickly. I would say that this fragrance requires a fair bit of overspraying to perform (10+ sprays). It's very good as a gym scent as it is not too heavy so it won't offend other people.I would say it's decent for the money but nothing special. 7/10

Really nice aquatic sweet marine scent, my go to gym scent, got it for 13 bucks, for that price its an insane deal Has decent longevity and projection Its not a high quality perfume, has a synthetic nature just like any other invictus clone and I don't see myself wearing it when going out because I have better scents for that But for me it feels like it fits perfectly for the gym Don't think its worth more than 25-30 bucks though

This one was a great fresh aquatic blind buy. At only $16 it's worth double that. Yes, it's a cheapie and I have way better fragrances now but I bought this one a while back and it's been one of those step out of the shower and just hang around the house kind of scents. Wear it to the beach, gym, walking the dog etc. For the price you just can't go wrong with this fresh aquatic salty scent.

So I have the "Myth" version of this and there is this super harsh note, especially in the air that is overwhelming. The original Invictus also has that note, but it fades where as Myth ramps that up. It is good on skin, but it's almost like someone stumbled and dropped too many bayleaves into the batch!

Victorioso Legend by Maison Alhambra is a fresh and pleasant fragrance. The performance is moderate, but the scent is enjoyable and perfect for daily wear. Coupled with its excellent price, it’s a great choice for work or everyday use. Rating: 7.5/10

today i got two frags. one of it is this. this is cheaper than that other one but this smells triumph that expensive one. what the world has come to? 😭😭😭 this thing sometimes even smells like eros. edit: this smells so nice. imma gatekeep this. 😍

Just received the new '"myth" version which I ordered a few months ago also. The previous bottle had not much smell / sillage and this one is better directly. Good value for money and a fresh / sweeter version in Invictus style.

i like this one. the bay leaf accord really stands out to me and im not wild about it but i dont think this would be as good if it wasnt there. it has a vibe like blue laundry detergent.

It’s not even listed as a note but I just smell a Granny Smith apple from this. It’s good, simple, nothing complex, but has surprisingly good performance from such a cheap freshie.

Nose Note #769 It most of all reminds me of a sweeter version of Lacoste L.12.12 White, i.e. the not so famous dupe of Lacoste - Al Rehab Clever Man. To me it has this sort of cucumber note that the OG Lacoste has, except Lacoste has no sweetness (comparably), whereas this one is more sweet than average. The scent is altogether mediocare to my nose. It's definately not mass market trash. I haven't tried Invictus Legend, but I did try other Invictus fragrances and their relative dupes. The biggest issue I have is performance, it's barely average. Invictus never dissapoints, they are all very long lasting. This is much less offensive and intrusive than an average Invictus flanker. I guess this would actually be a plus for some people. The scent is dominated by a marine accord that's pierced by the bay leaf (I imagine the note is unfamiliar to most people). It's a gourmand herbal note, naturally not sweet, but here it's made to be rather sweet. Besides that you can detect very slight citrus undertones, some slight muskiness and that's it. Not much going on. And the scent is linear. 6.5/10, just OK, more pleasant than not. But I'm not going to be wearing it

This is not for me. However it's really good at what it does! This is fresh (record scratch f-fr-fr-freshh) it's a really good clone. Too good. I heard it was more mellow more woody and quiet than the original. But no this is loud sexy ready to go anywhere! This fragrance can be smelled anywhere. It's a beast. It's lasts 6 hr + and you can smell it within a meter. If you want attention, crave attention. If you rock LV, GUCCI, SUPREME, Or anything where you're brand covers over 60% of yourself you will love this!! Giga chads, gym rats, fuk boiz this is all you! However that's not me.

For 25-30 bucks price range this is definitely worth it.If you are tight on money and need a fresh and moderate lasting fragrance buy this instead of nautica voyage.This is far complex and aromatic than that.It smells pretty synthetic tho.Overall it's a pretty good gym scent. 6.5/10

Smells like clothes that have been in the dryer with some type of smell enhancement similar to YSL myself just not nearly as strong but it’s cheap in a good way if that’s what you are going for then you should definitely consider this option.

I have this strong bay leaf note rn that lasts forever... Hopefully it gets better with maceration. This is fresh out of the bottle right now. I have MYTH version.

The bay leaf is crazy i say sillage is pretty high the bay leaf is too overpowering. if you like a leaf fragrance this is for you

Well, this is the discontinued Legend that I hate in terms of smell, basicly original Invictus but even more sweet and synthetic, but as a dupe this is great. If my memory is still loyal to me it is a 1 to 1 clone to Legend. It is a great idea to recreate discontinued fragrances in terms of dupes like how this does. I will start to even respect cloners when they release a beastmode Oud Wood or bring back CH Men Prive.

This smells more like Hawas than Hawas smells like Invictus if that makes any sense. Smells a bit cheap and not well blended. Performance for me is also really bad right out of the box (manufacturing date: 5/24). I never smelled the OG Legend but I have Invictus, Invictus Parfum and Invictus Aqua 2024 and those smell way higher quality and basically nothing like this. This reminds me more of those car air refreshers.

This is more of a question, but for those who bought it- how long did you let it macerate? I bought this & Victorioso (Invictus clone), but both are super weak. Becomes a skin scent on me right away, lasts an hour or so. It’s been 3 weeks but nothing has changed :(

Absolutely horrendous strong chemical smell. Just smells like fake artificial flowers. It gets bearable after about 30 minutes. But a horrible opening.

0/5 this is bad, first impression was ok, but after smelling it for hours its just annoying salty chemical smell, summer camp by the sea public shower kinda vibe, it lasts 12 hours maybe, but I wouldn't say that's a positive. reviewers are either only talking positives or have bad taste, it's seriously suitable only for a toilet bowl. I can see people liking this for being unusual but it gets old very quick. another blind buy dissapointment based on high ratings and youtube reviews, just don't... edit: tried it again, had to have a shower, it's literally biohazard, the chemical in it reminds me of bleach or some kind of dissolvent edit2: ok after 10 days the chem smell is almost gone, the scent is quite pleasant, 3/5 edit3: after 20 days still reminds me of a toilet bowl, it's chemical trash 1/5

You get what you pay for i guess, this one smells synthethic as hell, like a warm plastic soap, it isn’t fresh whatsoever but a heavy mess of notes enveloped by plastic. I don’t like it and won’t reccommend it, there are much better invictus dupes/clones that beat this one up for just a couple more bucks, so i would prefer other options. If you, the reader, are still convinced to buy this fragrance, i’d strongly suggest you to smell and try it beforehand, don’t blind buy in this case.

This and Fragrance World Invicto Legend are both just a generic blue shower gel twist on Invictus. Less sugary sweet, and with prominent generic blue shower gel mixed in. Not marine at all; I'm talking about the most stripped down style of generic blue scent being mixed in, like what you find in Armaf CDN Iconic but denser and darker. Maturation required with the Maison Alhambra Victorioso line it seems. Even after maturation, this DNA is extremely skippable. A very mediocre DNA that isn't worth the opportunity cost of wearing imo.

It opens with a mixture of seawater and grapefruit, joined by the intense green note of bay leaf and a shower gel esque drydown. As an Invictus Legend clone, it is synthetic by nature but not in a bad way: It projects a super-refreshing, straight out of shower aura, it also has an interesting, almost cooling feel to it. Solid 6 hours of performance with pretty good projection, highly recommended.

I don't know how close it goes to Invictus Legend since I have never smelled that, but Victorioso Myth, former Legend, smells like the original Invictus and its dupes Zara Seoul and Blue Spirit. If you own any of those you can save your money. Good performance, it smells good but how many don't have Invictus or one of its many clones yet?

I just don't understand the appeal of this fragrance. I haven't smelled the Invictus Legend, however I'm pretty sure it doesn't smell insanely cheap like this dupe does Despite my opinion however,. this stuff almost always gets positives feedback. Ppl really like the smell of this cheap mess. I don't get it. 6.5/10

Great fragrance, it's not your typical "blue" scented fragrance for men. To me, that bay leaf kicks it a few notches above the blue fragrances , this sweet blue shower gell fragrances. Really nice for the CHEAP price 👏🏼👍🏼
