I don't often give fragrance anything more than an average longevity score because they just don't last long on my skin, regardless of my situation or fragrance as it can be from heat to cold and from strong Le Lion Chanel's to Red Tobacco's and they just don't last a long time. But I applied this at 5pm in my place and was sitting online for the last 7 hours working in an undisturbed air conditioned environment and this is now a skin scent but still strong to my nose. That is not normal as everything normally disappears after 4 hours or so. So I'm not sure if that classifies it to be a good performer to others but it works on me and I scored it up. It has an amazing likeness to Ambre Nuit which I have had 2 different nights wearing it and it is a fantastic every season scent that you can wear night and day, in the heat or cold. Emessa is just a brilliant, bright amber fragrance for less than the cost of a meal for two at a fast food restaurant. It's just an absolute winner and just don't tell anyone it's not Ambre Nuit as they will not have a clue even if they have the original and they are paying £300 for the real thing. This is a perfect example of a great fragrance that many will love.

When I sprayed it on, tbh I smelled lots of alcohol. But then there is a lovely soft feminine rosey amber vanilla mixture. It doesn't have a huge sillage but it radiates a little more than just armslength imo. It lasts about 4 hours on my skin. I find it quite a pleasant accessible and generic fragance, and where the other reviewer says it gives them '1001 nights', I kind of agree, but in a very light PG family friendly soft version. For the price, it's a good buy, I'd recommend it.

Except Opulent Oud, this is my favorite Middle Eastern perfume, by far! It does smell a bit like Ambre Nuit by Dior, but it's more powdery. It simply gives me "1001 Nights" vibes and makes me think about the old age of Middle East. Longevity and projection are insane on my very dry skin, and I get all these for a very good price. Backup bottle coming soon!

Nobody mentioned how this smells like artisanal cola😍 sweet spicy expensive artisanal cola and mysterious florals, this is exactly the vibe I get. It also smells like heat, if it makes any sense, which makes this fragrance instantly sexy and suitable for date nights. It’s versatile, imo you can wear this in any season regardless of gender.

woooow!!! Ambre nuit dupe. It smells the same and performs better. I love it and so lucky to come across it.

Smells like Ambre Nuit, eternal lasting. I mainly get amber and rose, and they are strong. It's pretty, but very mature to me and I won't reach it too often. Also, in the drydown is quite soapy. The bottle is gorgeous. Update: I smelled this again, since I had a deja vu feeling about it, and it just strike me, this is similar to Tom Ford Rose Prick. It's the same rose, but better, because in Rose Prick I don't like the opening, but I like it after that wears off, and this is like that scent but without the harsh peppery opening that makes me sneeze.

Update: I get rose and bright/light amber. Smells like a very prominent, sharp, naturalistic floral rose with a bright, spring-time amber (like in D&G The One EDT). This is absolutely a rose scent - with a bright/light amber backbone. This is definitely feminine imo. It's not excellent and not great - just good imo. It smells fancy. Spring/fall appropriate. I smelt Gulf Orchid Yatch Club (Xerjoff 40 Knots clone, supposedly) from the atomiser, and it smells exactly like this Maison Asrar Emessa (Dior Ambre Nuit clone, supposedly). Also, my bottle needed 2 months of maturation before I could smell anything meaningful. --- Initial post: My bottle has smelt like nothing for a whole week since the first spray, and I received it from a reliable distributor. I only get an extremely faint and light amber, bordering on imperceptible. I suspect I'll need to wait 3-6 months for it to maturate/macerate because Maison Asrar didn't bother macerating this batch. The only other fragrances I've had that have been this under-macerated where they smell like nothing for weeks were Lattafa Teriaq Intense and Mercedes Benz Club Black EDT. I see a pattern -- the amber accord.

I have had this for 1 month now and I think it smells very good. It is unisex, however, some may think it leans ever so slightly feminine. I'm a 47 yr old man and I reach for this quite often, and I have 150+ frags. One previous review mentioned this was "Generic" and everyone has their own definition of that, but when it relates to fragrances I couldn't disagree more. I have 0 frags that smell like this. It's a sweet, rosey, ambery scent with a slight marine note that keeps this from smelling mostly feminine. I combo this with Swiss Arabian Private Oud and it provides a smokey note that turns it more masculine. It smells like it should cost way more than it's $30 price tag. On its own it lasts 6 to 8 hours with soft to moderate projection, but combined with the Private Oud the projection and longevity both increase significantly. It's one of the most comforting colognes I own, and a Great scent. Enjoy!!!

I really wanted to like this, but it's just not for me. It's way too rose-heavy for my liking; I can't smell any other note besides rose, smells old just not a fan
