Milky Way

The main reason people dislike this is because the other flankers are super sweet gourmands and people expected a sweet milky perfume like Sweet Tooth or Nebras Elixir, so I get it. However this is a beautiful "niche" smelling fragrance. It is lactonic but the milky note is very balanced with the wood and the florals which I also understand why it disappoints people when they get a perfume with the word "Milky" in it but the milk is not that prominent. That being said, I must say the following: upon spraying the first thing i get is a green plum with milk and then immediately i get the orris which gives to the fragrance a weird bitter/mushroomy smell but that doesn't last long on my skin. After that you get woodiness and I can tell you there is a slight animalic feeling to it that makes the perfume feel bitter and sour. And here is where the perfume will vary for everyone. Based on your skin chemistry and brain wiring you will either think this fragrance stinks because it will pull too sour or you will like it because your skin will start letting the milk evolve. I am in the second category. After that weird bitter oris note fades away, this transforms into a milky woody slightly spicy scent with a touch of floral. Yes, on some skins this CAN have similarities to Her Confession, it depends on skin chemistry!!! On my skin this does have a vibe (VIBE, not the same thing, not close) of Her Confession mixed with Musamam White Intense and Petra. What I can also tell you is that you will never pick up on that Caramel note that is mentioned. On my skin this lasts all day but it's soft, you have to put your nose close to your hand to feel it, and on clothes you have to overspray a little but then you feel it all day. For me it is very comforting but it is NOT a safe blind buy. I haven't tried any of the Commodity fragrances to tell you if it's inspired by any of them. I was lucky to get a decant first and I have ordered a full bottle.

I received this yesterday! I was so excited because Vanilla Voyage is That Girl so I thought it would be fun to try more fragrances from them. This is honestly not what I was expecting but I do like it!! When I got it, I sprayed it on the box and on my arm. I admit, it smelled awful on the box. I was worried! Then I smelled my arm. I had a little bit of Vanilla Voyage on from earlier in the day, and this smells exactly like Commodity Gold was probably supposed to smell like! It’s woody and sweet and milky, and with the addition of the tiny bit of vanilla, it was amazing! I couldn’t even smell commodity gold for more than a few minutes, it dried down to nothing but this is the “beast mode” version of that! I could smell it all night and I still smell it this morning after sleeping all night! The key here is to layer it with Vanilla Voyage in my opinion, it’s a winning combination and what Commodity Gold was probably supposed to be but better!!! Don’t spend $$$ on that when you can get both of these, Milky Way and Vanilla Voyage, for less! I don’t mind spending $$$ for a good perfume but I’ve been honestly amazed by this brand!! I can’t say enough about Vanilla Voyage, it’s become a staple for me in layering and if you want Milky Way to be sweeter, it’s a winning combination!

This is a mix between a softer Artisan Ethnique by Lattafa and Taskeen Lactea Divina. I think the cashmere wood and caramel are causing the sharp sweet woodiness that it has in common with artisan ethnique although this perfume is much softer while maybe the milk and tonka it has in common with lactea divina cause it to be so spot on to that. It's like a happy mix! I really love both perfumes so I'm kinda pretty happy with this revelation. Lactea is quickly becoming one of my favorite perfumes ever and I was thinking about buying a backup but now I'll hold off on it until I decide which I like better. It did take like 15 to 20 minutes to soften up and the lactea-ness to come out, so wait for the drydown! It was a bit too sharp after spraying, but after settling I'm huffing my wrist its so nice. Mine is new so hoping it will get stronger because this is probably the 3rd softest perfume I have right now, and I want people to know I freaking smell good. Crossing my fingers for the beast mode everyone else is talking about!

Let this one sit for at leats two weeks. I liked it already in the beginning but it was too woody for my taste and somewhat all over the place. Now? Love the scent! And I have the feeling it’s going to get even better. Smooth, delicate dense yet airy sweet warm goodness. I don’t get the flowers much, the woods calmed down as well. It’s like a warm steamy sweet milk bath with a pinch of something like gingerbread spice (not sure where that comes from) Sooo relaxing.. almost reminds me of the far deep drydown of Vanilla Voyage but toned down a lot, mixed with Phlurs Cashmere Skin. Got a backup bottle already! Edit: Almost 2 months later and I am utterly and officially obsessed 😀 I don’t need to be in a mood for it, this has been my everyday go-to for the last couple of weeks. The longevity is superb (over 8 hours), wonderful projection (by no means intimate). Layered sweetness with a spicy ambery warm vanilla base. It’s got depth but still stays airy. Loooove!

This smells so good! I was afraid I wouldn't like it considering it is woody and has floral notes but I adore it. I also detect a few florals in it but not too much. It's mainly the caramel and plum with a hint of vanilla, plus tonka. All those make it sweet and combined with the woody notes it feels comforting. I don't detect the milk though, and I have seen others say they detect a bit of marshmallow but I do not detect that either. It's a fruity, sweet, and woody perfume to my nose and on my skin, just a tiiiiny bit floral. BTW for any of you who love this DNA, I strongly recommend using Mon Tresor Beauty Care's perfume oil in Musk B Marshmallow. I believe it's inspired by Milk. I have it and wow, as soon as I sniffed this it reminded me so much of that. Now I got a perfume oil to layer it with!

This took me a minute to appreciate. At first I wasn't sure I really liked it. So i put it down for a bit was a fool and bought Commodity Milk and they are so close it's insane. You'd think with the notes they'd be nothing alike. I don't know how they did it but it's a sweeter version of Commodity Milk and I love it. It's what I wanted Milk to be as it has marshmallow but no sweetness on me. This gives me that sweet woody lactonic vibe. So I'm really happy with this one. I use this more than the inspiration which I know sounds crazy with the notes but if you have them both you are like ooh. They do smell so similar. This is very strong and lasts for hours and hours on my skin. Even when I wash i can still smell it sometimes. I personally love this fragrance.

When I first got this I was a bit unsure but liked it well enough, today I sprayed it again and after sitting a few months it’s honestly amazing!! It’s sooo much better than when I first got it, it’s very true that you need to spray these kind of middle eastern perfumes a bit at first to get the oxygenation going or whatever and then let it sit for a bit. I love this now and will definitely be going back to it. I’m wearing it to bed and it’s perfect for that! If you don’t immediately like it, I would try to let it sit for a while, seriously!! Mine smells like a milky, creamy light vanilla. I also get the smell of real banana which is kind of amazing and probably the ylang ylang. It’s woddy at first but not when it dried down!!

Sampled in store and fell in love. Soft, feminine,woodsy, powdery, lactonic scent. Gave it a full wear test before buying. It's still beautiful, but it's much more lactonic than when I sampled. Wonder if it needs to sit more or, the sample was new and that's what it smelled like before sitting. Either way, I still adore it. On the dry down it's a slightly powdery wood. Longevity is definitely 12+ hours. Interesting as people describe it as baby vomit, I can totally see it. I never liked commodity milk cause it was too milky for me. Now that I'm smelling the milk note more prominent in my bottle, might be a closer match. (I never got the woodsy from commodity, hence I still enjoy this much more). DEFINITELY not blind buy safe.

This is heaven to my nose! I am big fan of sandalwood prominent perfumes and this one is so sweet and lactonic, a bit powdery, a bit creamy and musky. It doesn't smell like milky smooth sandalwood perfume like Santal Austral, it smells like milky gourmand with nice, smooth sandalwood musky base. I know it's not most natural smelling perfume, I get some ambroxan, but this smells so wonderful. It does remind me of Artisan ethnic and Tiramisu caramel, but this has sandalwood base which I prefer and performs better. I'm officially in love! 💕 Hope it doesn't change in time and becomes milder because this is a beast .

This is in the same family as Milk+ , whereas Milk+ is more nutty and Milky Way is more woody and more lactonic. Another thing Milky Way has better longevity than Milk+. It also reminds me of Intimate Silhouette but less nutty. This scent is so delicious and only slightly sweet which puts it into unisex category. It's a super lactonic warm woody vanilla. You have to like woods to appreciate this 1. This is a cozy hug in a bottle and the bottle presentation matches that vibe perfectly and when you flip the bottle upside down you can see the juice color is milky white too! Love.

This is a love for me. I have not smelled Commodity Milk so I do not intend to review this as a dupe. This for me presents a creamy, milky caramel, vanilla, and soft powdery warmth. It is softer than heavy gourmands. The slight woody base makes it not fully edible dessert, more “perfume-like". This perfume is more cozy and comforting than loud.

The longer it sits, the better it gets. When I first received this, I didn’t know what I was smelling at all! The only note I could clearly smell was the wood orris part. No plum or creaminess 😩to my nose. Fast forward 6 months (now) the notes are finally coming all together in harmony . The Sillage is intoxicating I’ve been told ❤️

Im not familiar with Commodity Milk so cant compare them, so I am reviewing Milky Way as it is. This was not what I was expecting at all, but not in a bad way. It smells very incensey when you first spray, but dries down to a very woody, milky scent. Its gorgeous, but my goodness its strong! The longevity and silage is beastly.

People were bashing this and I was expecting it to be awful, but to my nose this smells like Commodity Milk and I love it. Aroma Concepts and the brands they push are dubious, at best, and they are fairly judged as sketch and having low quality at times, but sometimes they produce amazing scents and this is one of those times.

I tried it because I loved vanilla voyage especially the longevity and smell of it for it's price. That's the perfume that caught my attention to maison asrar. And this perfume, milky way gives the same vibe and last just as long. very surprising for its price. powdery, and milky that smells fresh.

I thought I'd like this just from the notes so got a sample and I was right. It's exactly what I was looking for to layer with other stronger perfumes but actually enjoy it on its own so much I'm in love with this scent! Soft, cosy, milky goodness. Warm in a non-spicy way? Like a hug

It’s been a week since I bought this fragrance. So far I’m in love with this. I usually don’t like milk perfumes but this is something else. It’s blind pay because of Vanilla voyage and I don’t regret it. Bty I am on my 3rd bottle of VV and it’s a dream perfume.

The longer I smell this fregrance the more I like it. I dont think the name does it justice because it smells nothing like a Milky way. The woody and smoky notes make this fregrance worth it. The caramel gives it a bit of sweetness. I really like this.

This was love at first sniff for me. I don't get the divisiveness about this scent, but everyone's nose is different. It's milky sweet wood. It absolutely reminds me of Commodity but lasts much longer.

Absolutely similar to Milk (but not Milk- that one is so much more woody) but Milky Way is even more lactonic and sweet. Reminds me a bit of warm milk with vanilla. So wonderful, so cozy.

To me this is commodity milk expressive only more milk. I think it smells great!

For me, its like you took JPG Elixir Absolu, throw all bad parts about it, make it milky and get rid of manly aromatic and spice notes. Best gourmand i've ever tried and the longevity (I got around 8-9 hours) and sillage (I got around 5 hours) for this price point is horendously good. For some man this might be too sweet and I personally think this leans more feminine side, its still unisex much that man still can pull this up. *Its smells quite diffrent on the tester strip than on the skin, have that in mind *It's not blnd buy safe

I can't tell if i love or hate this one. The plum note somehow doesn't really work in this perfume, it's a bit jarring and clashes with the milky accord. I wish they would have replaced it with fig! Then comes a strange bitter note in the middle, possibly the orris? It smells like raw mushrooms to my nose. The drydown on this is lovely, very woody and addictive. This part here i LOVE. I got a sample of this, so it had likely already matured.

Sandalwood prominent, vanilla, orris, and plum. Lactonic, woody, sweet, and interesting. Very good sillage and longevity. But again, Maison Asrar vanilla note has minty/anise facets, and this seems to be a consistent problem across all vanilla bottles from within the house. That being said, it's a good lactonic vanilla fragrance, probably the best out of the house so far.

Im Not sure if I like this yet. I have to let it macerate. It smells like something I have smelled before but couldn't put my finger on it. I was going through my perfume collection trying to figure out where have I smelled this smiliar scent before? Then it came to me this smells like Safwaan L'autre Musk by Lattafa that I no longer have in my collection. i cant explain how it reminds me of that fragrance but it just has this smiliar musky undertone about it that does. I find this to be really musky, not what I was expecting from this fragrance, but then again I've hated some arabian scents and then loved them after a few weeks of maceration. First initial spray I get the latonic notes but it dries down incredibly musky and slighty latonic with a sandalwood base. If you are expecting for this to be gourmand its not. Im praying that maceration does wonders for this fragrance. I was hoping to get the gourmand and milky notes like everyone else but to my nose this is a sandalwood & musk bomb lol. It's also a bit cloying and headache inducing. Im going to put it away for a few weeks and update my review if anything changes. Edit: I am getting the milky and latonic notes but it is still very musky/powdery with no sweetness and the sandalwood base. Its a very "clean" type of musk/powder. If you want a milky gourmand go for the nebras elixir that one is absolutely gorgeous 😍 or try "butterscotch" by adyan (on the aroma concepts website) for a yummy Caramel/butterscotch twist i promise you that one will be the hyped gourmand fragrance of 2026. Fragrance notes - Top: Vanilla, Caramel Middle: Toffee, Sugar Base: Brown Sugar, Butter, Salt You'll literally be smelling like a walking snack good enough to eat - Thank me later yall! 😂

When I first got the Maison Asrar Milky Way, a supposed dupe for Milk, I hated it for smelling so weird and not at all milky. I didn't (and quite honestly still don't) understand the composition. It smelled like amber mixed with sesame seeds and a bit of wet cardboard. But after smelling the Milk line I went back to smelling Milky Way and was surprised that despite it's weird composition it actually smelled creamy, sweet (!!!!) and not as woody. Like I can actually pick up how extremely sweet it is especially on the dry down. But had I not smelled what it was trying to dupe (or was inspired by) I never would have seen this in a slightly positive light. But still, this type of scent is just not for me. I can't appreciate it on its own. Also, Milky Way is very close to the opening of Milk and Milk+ but the dry down is different. Milky Way dries down very sweet with a lo of amber.

Whew, this one is strong. The opening is gorgeous though. It smells like creamy white chocolate sitting next to a glass of steamed milk, which is heavenly. Then the plum and orris start to come through, and on my skin this combo leans very incense-like. After that, the sandalwood and jasmine show up, and unfortunately this is where it starts to lose me. The dry down felt a bit pungent and even slightly irritating to wear. My fiancé still gave it a 9 out of 10, but said I have better options, which I agree with. This one left me feeling conflicted. I adore the opening, but I was hoping for a cleaner, softer milky scent. It’s just a little too heavy for me to justify a full bottle. Definitely an interesting fragrance, just not quite my cup of milk.

This isn’t my favourite, however it’s the first perfume that helped me understand the hype around a ‘milk’ note. Most fragrances I’ve tried with milk just come off as creamy/gourmand but with this it actually gives the photorealistic note of a jug of hot frothy milk. Which is surprisingly comforting and addictive. It’s not just purely milk though - there is a ton of woods and some sweet marshmallow too. I was pleasantly surprised with it but my issue is that it is way too beast mode and I personally do not want a fragrance like that to hang around so strongly the entire day. But if you do then this could be for you!

It is a very strong fragrance; it's more woody forward to my nose, and as it dries down, I smell the sweeter accords like the caramel and vanilla. Looking at the title of the bottle, you would think that it smells milky, but that note is very faint. I would say it's more of a sweet woody fragrance rather than a lactonic one.

I bought this only to see if this DNA fits me or not, it is not for me,but is not bad either.At the begining i did not feel any florals or vanilla at all, but after a couple of months it changed and now it is sweet woody fragrance with a touch of florals, quite pleasant.The performance is ok.

Man, this doesn't do it for me. But I gambled and came up with a loss, and this will be on it's merry way to a more loving home soon. I dislike Commodity Milk, so I should've not even bothered with this. I'm not sure what my problem is...I think the sandalwood note and the kitschy bottle lured me in. It has milk, and some woods, soft vanilla (the vanilla is what I enjoy most here), but it just is eclipsed by some strange chemical (perfumes are full of chemicals, yes, you can spare me the "well ackschually! 🤓" because you know what I mean), medicinal, burnt/sour undertone. Vanilla Vice by Snif also smelled burnt, and not entirely dissimilar in this regard. Sometimes I catch whiffs of this around me, and it's really nice, almost like a candle (and it's a WARM scent). But up close, the composition falls apart. I like the sillage, but I don't enjoy *my* experience wearing this. The bottle makes me want whipped cream though, not sure if this is a good or a bad quality...😆

I REALLY wanted to love this. The notes? Perfect. Right up my alley. I’m a certified Commodity Milk stan. So imagine my excitement when it arrived... only for me to spray it and physically recoil like I just witnessed a crime. It smelled like a chemical fire that had been politely extinguished with milk... and then dusted with sugar for vibes. But did I give up? Absolutely not. I told myself, “It just needs to mature.” Because nothing fuels my delusion quite like spending my hard-earned money. I was determined to gaslight myself into loving it. Fast forward a few months... I revisit it today, hopeful, healed, evolved... Why is it WORSE??? Now it smells like burnt sweet plastic that had time to sit, reflect, and get even more offensive. Yeah... this one’s not getting better with time 😭

Somewhere in a very far distance it may be a little bit something like Milk by commodity . But Milk is way more blended and pure. Milky Way smells very artificial, opens with a blast of something minty , it dries down to a sweet cloing mess of carrotcake or gingerbread spices with hints of something sour, what has to be something milky then? Big no for me. Milk is fluffy and woody, and very elegant. This is a really cheap and bad copy. So glad I got a tester first. Yuk

this smells so sour and there is something ruining it. there is a " piss" smell that is overpowering the milky notes, the top notes remind me of lattafa elixir nebras. But soon the strong herbal smell takes over to destroy the lactonic notes . i am so disappointed. i expected something heavenly like vanilla voyage but maybe i will let it sit and come back to it .

This has been sitting for months and although there is no musk listed in the notes, I get scratchy, harsh white musk that overwhelms any milkyness or sweetness. I don't even get much woodiness. There is a lot of powdery quality but the old lady kind. And this one will not wash off! It's lasting in the worst way. This one is a fail...

I thought I would adore this, but the sandalwood and orris are quite close to the fore and I’m not a fan of either of those notes. This is a woodier dupe of Blanche Bête, Grecia, etc. The opening spray is off-putting, but it settles down quickly. The performance is good - it’s just not quite for me!

I bought this one thinking it would have a similar vibe to Blanche Bete but I was wrong. Nothing milky about this. It’s a sweet and woody fragrance and I’ve come to the conclusion that I dislike woods in perfumery. Maybe will smell better on my husband.

idek what this is. it smells reminiscent of chinese herbal tea / vapor rub. has a medicinal smell to it.. maybe it will go away with maceration idk lol, will review after a bit of time.

Every note is horribly blended. Weird sour note (licorice?) with milk and the iris is sticking out(in a bad way). But the profile is nice enough to not make me completely hate it.

TL;DR Like Teriaq Intense but not as yummy. Light, fluffy, not too sweet. I followed the guidelines set by their Vanilla Voyage, my beloved, and only did between 2-3 spritzes. I think I can detect which note many may find unpleasant. I think it could be the ylang, giving this funky, slightly dirty earthiness that pulls this away from being a full on cloying lactonic gourmand smorgasbord. It's almost leathery to my nose. That ylang, she plays a strange game indeed. The plum, too, makes this almost feel boozy but not quite. I tend to like fragrances that tow the line between fragrance "genres" and this definitely does that. I'm just not sure if it is a LOVE yet. Edit: about one hour later sprayed on clothes and skin, from afar it's an inoffensive sweet lactonic scent but lurking just under that current there is a lingering aroma akin to dog's feet 😞 Not used to this from Maison Asrar or any fragrance really for that matter. I just went from hot to cold and I am flip flopping as we speak. Luckily it's not strong! With that being said, I am flipping it now on Mercari. I just can't really afford that kind of experience with my frags at this stage of my addiction 💁🏽♀️

I never write reviews but this perfume is absolutely foul on me. I tried it on my daughter as well, to make sure I wasn’t crazy, and it’s just as awful on her. It smells like rotten milk, chemicals, and dirty musk, maybe a little bit of dirty diaper? Ive never had such an aversion to a scent, I hate it, and now every time I smell a lactonic scent I remember this perfume, and it ruins the current one I’m smelling. So I think it’s ruined lactonic perfumes for me, which is devastating because I typically love them! I would not recommend this as a blind buy, and I do not think it smells at all like commodity milk because I love commodity milk and can’t stand this one. I will say however, it lasts a long time and it’s strong, so if this is your cup of tea then you’ll be happy to know it’s “beast mode”!

I'm getting tired of milk infused scents, but after reading the reviews and the notes I decided to suffer a bit more.😄 If you are looking for creamy milk scent, this is not it. Rather porous, dusty white floral scent with a milky undertone. Opening: alcoholic and medicinal. The combination of plum and lactone is quite disturbing. Drydown: cashmere and orris with the flowers blended together. Beside the porous sweetness ylan-ylang definitely gives a citrusy undertone. At some whiffs it's like PDM Valaya drowning in dry milk. I don't like this recognition at all, and since this medicinal effect wraps around the creation, my nose just can't accept the experience.😖

Oh boy. This is such a bummer for me because the reviews for folks that like it are so good! I get bug spray. And that is all, just bug spray. Ok, actually rubbing alcohol and then bug spray but regardless I get no other notes myself. I think it is from the Orris root which I have read can read that way for some noses (lucky me I guess?) so that is too bad. I am putting it in its box and into the time out corner to see if it smells different to me in a few months. Fingers and toes crossed- I really am wanting a nice milk fragrance!

I absolutely despise this cologne. I bought a Rayhaan Adonis Icarus tester from Etsy, and got this as a little thank you extra. I tried it out on my skin and hated it. The scent gave me a headache, and smelled just super weird. It would not come off 100% no matter how much I scrubbed and it just really really sucks. Would rate worse than hate if possible.

This is revolting. How overhyped. Not milky or fluffy- just sour and gross. Those influencers are clearly paid a lot to lie about some of these fragrances.
