Muharib

I have both Xerjoff Naxos and Muharib. They are very close but not quite the same. They both take you on that roller coaster ride of scent evolution over a few minutes. On first spray, the bright citrus sparkles and to my nose Naxos leads here with slightly brighter, cleaner citrus. It's a higher high. But as we come off the crest and begin the descent they match up very closely in the middle notes. This happens within the first minute. Cinnamon and honey become prominent with Naxos having a sweeter more realistic and longer lasting honey note. When we get to the base notes, this is where I notice the biggest difference and this is where we are going to experience Muharib as we wear it throughout the day or evening. Naxos again wins out to my nose. Some will no doubt like the more masculine leaning Muharib. I wish so much that Muharib had included a little more vanilla. The combination of tonka and tobacco in Muharib comes off as a little smokier with an almost oud-like resinous quality where the Naxos remains so perfectly balanced with a fresher tobacco leaf note. Muharib is a darker more masculine version of Naxos to my nose. It's a subtle difference, but since we are all different in our olfactory perceptions, I can easily see how some would find the differences to be more substantial. I've seen the jasmine note listed in the base notes for Muharib, and perhaps the jasmine creates a greater sense of contrast making the tobacco come across as darker. I just received my bottle of Muharib, so we will see if it changes any as it matures. I could imagine wearing Naxos very lightly during summer, but not a chance with Muharib. I would find it unbearable in heat and humidity. For me, Muharib will be a fall and winter only fragrance. I have a decant of Rayhaan Italia incoming, so look forward to seeing how it compares. UPDATE: Comparing Rayhaan Italia and Naxos, I find them to be more similar than Muharib. However, the oud-like note I was picking up in Muharib is now gone after just a few days of maturing after the initial sprays. When doing a three-way comparison between Muharbi, Rayhaan Italia, and Naxos, both my wife and I prefer Muharib. Quite a change from a few days ago. Maison Asrar needs to put a piece of removable tape on the cap or more foam in the box, because like so many others, the cap was banging around loose inside the box and had scuffed the cap. I'm not a fan of the bottle design.

Decant review: The opening comes in sweet and floral with honey immediately leading, but there is also a noticeable toasty tobacco presence even early on that helps keep the sweetness masculine. Lavender is clearly present, giving a clean, slightly minty herbal lift as it blends into the honey. The lavender is noticeably less prominent than in Naxos. A light cinnamon spice sits underneath, and there may be a brief touch of sharp citrus, but the overall impression is dense and warm rather than airy (Naxos being more airy and light). I did not notice a medicinal note, perhaps due to the less pronounced lavender. In the mid, the scent stays in that warm glowing territory but begins to dry out slightly. Honey remains prominent but less thick, while tobacco steadily moves forward and adds more structure and masculinity. Lavender is still there but mostly as a clean “in the air” freshness rather than a distinct floral note. Cinnamon continues to support the warmth without ever becoming harsh. The blend here is very cohesive and natural-smelling. By the drydown, the fragrance becomes a well blended tobacco, cinnamon, and tonka driven vanilla warmth. The honey has largely faded back, and the sweetness reads noticeably drier than in the opening. Tobacco leads while the tonka and cinnamon provides this soft cinnamon-vanilla aspect. Performance was strong early with solid projection through the first few hours before gradually pulling closer to the skin. Around hour 8 it was still present but clearly weakened on skin, while on clothes it held very well and retained much of the earlier character. Compared to Naxos: more honey, more tobacco, less lavender, slightly spicier, more dense. Amazing quality if you like the DNA (I do), and a slightly more masculine take on Naxos. My only critique is I wish it were more airy like Naxos in the opening and mid. Other than that I like the lessened lavender and the increased tobacco compared to the OG. 9/10

Drydown Nel finale, la fragranza si poggia su un letto solido e sensuale di tabacco e fava tonka. Il tabacco non è mai troppo forte, ma rimane morbido e mielato, mentre un tocco di gelsomino regala un’eleganza inaspettata nel fondo. La persistenza è ottima (7+ ore) e la scia è intensa ma raffinata, tipica di chi sa di avere il controllo totale della situazione. Consiglio Personale Se Faris Al Arab è assertività pura, Muharib è seduzione consapevole. Se amate le fragranze sullo stile di Naxos ma cercate quel carattere orientale distintivo, questo è il vostro profumo. Perfetto per quasi tutte le stagioni, è un profumo che ti fa sentire realizzato e ammirato. Un vero capolavoro di equilibrio tra dolcezza e virilità. Voto: 9.5/10

I like Naxos, but not enough to buy a full bottle. If only there were something close to it, of similar quality, but for less money... enter Muharib. Muharib is very close, though not a true 1:1 of Naxos. I can’t detect any lavender at the moment, but that may change with time as this review is being written in the pure excitement of having just received my bottle. I actually purchased this by mistake after mixing it up with Faris Al Arab—and I’m so glad I did. This stuff is genuinely high quality straight out of the bottle. I’ve read the other comments regarding maceration time and how the scent improves, and I’m really excited to see how this one develops. I’ll save an in-depth review until I’ve had a proper chance to wear it and let it macerate/oxidise (whatever the correct term may be) for a few weeks. First impressions: WOW. Maison Asrar are absolutely killing it with these releases. Edit - It’s been a few weeks now, and there definitely is Lavender, but it’s different from the OG. It’s not quite as soft, soothing or rich.

Very high quality. This smells like an elegant refined man who knows what he's doing. It's got honey but not too sweet or overpowering - could definitely wear this in the warmer weather. It's also STRONG, I've got noticed a lot wearing this. Considering I picked this up for $28, it's an insane deal. I'm doing a huge clear out of all my 'dupe' fragrances as most of them have been disappointing but this is one I'm keeping. It's superb for the price & the quality is incredible. Maison Asrar might be the only middle eastern brand I would buy from again P.S the bottle is terrible, difficult to open and close. Not aesthetic either but for $28 there isn't much else to complain about

I own and have worn Muharib, Naxos, Fierta Luna, and Italia many times. I waited to post reviews of any of these until I had plenty of time wearing them all to contrast. I love all four fragrances, they all smell very close to each other, and my over-all pick is Muharib. Its scent is more tobacco heavy than the other three, and the silage pushes a bit more. Even though I do wear all year round, and in the office, I would not consider it a summer scent nor office safe. My office has sparsely spreadout coworkers in a large volume of air, so its totally fine for me. But I would not choose this ever for travel by air nor in a car with others.

Omg, one of the highest quality clones of all time. The ingredients in this one is niche quality. I have over 100 clones/dupes that’s are highly rated and a lot of them have something that can be sharp or cause noise blindness or whatever. Only a select few use top notch ingredients in my opinion Abd’s this was one of them. I have never smelt the OG and I don’t know if this is close or not but this makes me want to actually sample it. I want to smell like this always! It doesn’t last though I’ve noticed. Projection for like 2 hours tops and then skin scent until about the 7 hours then it’s gone. But that was with only about 6 sprays.

Without a doubt the best 'Dupe' I have bought this year. It's a much stronger Naxos with a lovely honey and tobacco with a backbone of warm amber. I do get the citrus with the bergamot and lemon, coming through, so it's not just a middle eastern hotch potch and it does have some character and personality that's beyond it's amazing low price (£35 delivered off ebay) The packaging is better than some 'premium' fragrance out there, but the bottle is horrible.... Going to have a look at some others in this brand just based on the quality and overall smell of this one.....a real quality dupe for an amazing price.

This is delightful — I really, really like it. I have been wearing this surprisingly often since getting it. It's a sweet/honey/vanilla fragrance with a lot of lavender. It smells "niche" enough to be perceived as quite sophisticated, I would say. As for it being similar to NAXOS, I don't really know, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is really close. Be warned that I don't think this is the easiest fragrance to pull off if you're not at least in your late twenties or early thirties. Otherwise, I think this is completely unisex — and honestly, this would be very nice on a woman.

Okay Maison Asrar! I did NOT expect to like this more than Naxos but here we are... For me, this just maintains the full note profile better and longer than Naxos. When I compare them side by side, Naxos is very sweet floral dominant. Muharib I can pick up the sweet florals and MORE of the tobacco, MORE honey, and MORE earthy base notes. It's just the more satisfying composition. I'm not saying Naxos doesn't have all the notes; they are there. But they're too faint and in the background for my liking. This is SOLID. For the price, you gotta grab it.

It opens up with a strong fruity-aromatic blast and dries down really nicely. I’ve only worn it once so far (just a couple of sprays), but my first impression is that it’s a beautiful niche-style fragrance. Honestly, you don’t come across many scents in the €40 range that smell this good, last this long, and project this well. Definitely feels like a hidden gem for the price.

If you like Naxos, you will like this. Was worried this was one of those overhyped tiktok fragrances but it has blown my expectations out of the park. I own multiple niche fragrances and am usually let down by dupes. Not this time. No brainer for the price and performance. Id even buy it at double the price. Bottle is pretty ugly, but I only care for whats inside it.

Very similar to Naxos. Although the other reviewers are right, Muharib is missing the strong lavender note. Longevity and projection are very good for this scent profile. Best Naxos dupe I’ve come across yet. I use this and the original as well. Muharib is especially a good choice if you have Naxos but don’t want to use the entire bottle too quickly.

I have a 2025 batch Naxos - and this smells literally 95% the same (on the dry down, after ~10 minutes). The only difference - Naxos is more woody. I left Muharib to macerate for 2 weeks after I initially got it, did a side by side with Naxos and that’s my verdict. If you like Naxos but don’t like the price tag, get this one.

It's well worth the 40+ euros price tag that I paid. The presentation and the bottle is very unique, the scent profile is very close to Naxos, it performs well, the ingredients are of high quality and it's blended well... What else to expect from a clone fragrance? Literally Naxos for one fourth of the price 🙂

#5 on my Fragrance Review Journey Hello, I have not smelled the OG. Putting that aside and taking this fragrance on its own merits, it smells phenomenal. I bought into the Tik Tok hype, and I am 100% sold. If the OG is anything like this, it is incredible as well. I give this a 9/10. Full bottle worthy!

This scent is a powerhouse at least on my skin. I can still smell it when I get my nose close to the skin after 22 hours now. I will update this post with my further experience in a couple of weeks.

Wow, the performance on this is outstanding! Very close to the og, i would say this is a bit more commercial than the og and definitely has more interesting bottle design! Great find!

This is as close as you can get to Naxos. Smells amazing and very good performance. Kudos to Maison Asrar
