Neroli Nasimba

I find that one of nature's greatest expressions of elegance is manifested in felines. What could be more beautiful than watching the fluid movement of a lioness on the hunting ground: its sinuous, delicate majesty, its velvety steps... Nasimba means lion in Swahili, and this fragrance has been defined as a ‘Feline Neroli’. I could not find a more appropriate description: the sparkling, citrusy opening, with slight bitter nuances typical of neroli, is combined with animalic tones, with a sophisticated but at the same time wild leather, which make this an olfactory creation truly remarkable. And for me it is the scent of the lioness: it brings finesse, sensuality and strength, something unusual but magnetic especially on a woman. I love this perfume, i think maison crivelli is overall unique, trend builder and for sure the quality reflect on to what they deliver. i have been trying to control my addiction and not buy it - but then i tested it again and it was the only perfume across many coming to my nose.. finally i own a bottle - first of all i am bit surprised people selected more mens perfume to me its the book of unisex as a female i am loving it and never expect a compliment when i wear a perfume . To me its a feel good perfume. i actually get it as per the list above neroli white flowers and then a close to skin, smooth leather. For me its a day night every season every hour type if perfume. I find it super elevated , unique and to any perfume with neroli still an insanely good performer. I dont represent vanilla gourmand club - so this is definitely what i needed and what i wanted

I feel if they had just named this scent Tangerine Leather, or something like that, its reception would have been much better. That’s what this is. Like other reviewers I sampled this a lot before deciding on a bottle. I also ordered about 15 “fresh” leather and leather neroli combinations samples only to decide I got it right the first time. The leather accord is very interesting here, not the smokey leather I’m used to, but instead almost translucent and slightly oily one that seems to merge with the neroli in a very subtle fruity way. There is a surprising amount of neroli here though, you can really sense it in the late dry down (8 hours) when the leather subsides. Still, those looking for a neroli focused fragrance might be put off by the leather switcheroo.

I received this as a sample, and I fell in love immediately. It smells like a more expensive, bit fresher, bit more floral, creamier, little less anabolic version of Gucci Guilty Absolute. Sexy, confident, calm. You should smoke a cigar and practice your rich guy laughter to match this scent. It might be unisex, especially in the beginning, but I still feel like this is for a man. To be honest. Sorry! It's 78% alcohol, so it behaves like a parfum. Think of a scent bubble rather than laser beams coming from you. Longevity: 15+ hrs. Edit: I'm layering this with Gucci Guilty and what a success! Recommend!

its very simple scent, I must say, I dont like it, for summer maybe good I must edit this: after few tries, I must say, its lovely scent, I rly starting to love it, yes, its smells like something old, but its very likeable scent and scent profile EDIT 2: best neroli I ever smelled EDIT 3 on 30.1.2026: finally order a 100ml of this masterpiece, lovely scent, not very likeable from other parfume lovers, but I am in love with this kind of scent, best neroli, best leather, on of the best spring and autumn scent for daytime

I really, really like this one. The leather they’ve used is a bit similar to Gucci Guilty Absolute’s leather, and it feels like a natural extension of the Neroli which can be quite a leathery floral by itself. It’s fairly linear, opens with a bit of cardamom, and turns into something a bit more simple and leathery as it dries down, but it’s never derivative or redundant. The overall effect is an arid, smoky and textured floral that still retains lightness and transparency. Incredibly chic.

I tested this fragrance a lot before ordering a full bottle, every summer I try to look for a unique citrus scent and the leather add-on is what captured my attention. I can happily say that this checked all the boxes for me to add it into my citrus library collection. Sometimes simplicity and an unusual note like the leather in this fragrance makes a scent standout among other freshies.

A love at first sniff sort of masterpiece. The most unique neroli fragrance I've ever smelled. Floral on the opening, a bit spicy and the dry down is just heavenly addictive. As a leather lover, this is one of the best hidden gem I've owned. You guys who do not enjoy, please keep on not enjoying. The least people known/wear it, the better. I will gatekeep this.

A true masterpiece. I believe it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves—but I’m perfectly fine with that, as long as it keeps me smelling unique. I personally don’t get the strong leather note that many people mention. To me, everything feels incredibly well-balanced: not too much leather, not too much neroli, not too much citrus. Just perfect.

I don't know why, but this perfume draws me in; I keep smelling my wrist. It's a dry, woody, and floral summer perfume with leather notes. I've never been a fan of leather perfumes, but this is a fresh leather perfume I can tolerate and like to wear. Many people dislike it; it's a "love or hate" perfume,I will definitely purchase it.

This neroli fragrance is absolutely unique! It strikes the perfect balance between floral and fresh, reminiscent of Tom Ford Neroli but with a delightful floral twist. What sets it apart is the addition of leather and pink pepper, creating a truly distinctive scent. It's really nice, but I'm still undecided about making a purchase.

Stumbled upon this beauty on my annual neroli search and it definitely stands out from the rest. It leans masculine and quickly dries down to a leather note that would've been perfect for me if I wasn't so set on finding another citrusy white floral. So good but at a wrong time, my new metaphor for a summer fling.

Beautiful fragrance. I find it very similar to Reflection Man but without orris root. Can barely feel any leather in there, for me it is just a beautiful and elegant neroli/orange blossom scent with a touch of cardamom on top. Update: in the dry down delicate leather note showed up. Drydown itself is very pleasant

This is just a perfect leather summer fragrance, which I didn't even think was possible to think of. Were I'm from it is very hot and humid most of the year so this is just perfect! I get that the name is a bit misleading but I'm obsessed and I think people should definitely give it a chance if you like leather.

This is a great fragrance that gives a classic clean soapy neroli with a leather twist, which suit daytime professional/office settings very easily. The leather scent complements the clean sharp neroli and green petitgrain. Lasted me 8-12 hours with 3 sprays. My favourite from the house of Maison Crivelli.

It is one of the most balanced masculine all-season perfumes made with Creed Aventus. It seems strange to me that people somehow did not like it, because I would call it mass appealing. It makes me feel very safe. It is a completely masculine scent and unique, LOVE it.

This immediately made me think of Fahrenheit. It gives me the same old sweaty saddle vibe with less smoke and more citrus spice. I totally love it.

This is nice, it's a fresh leather, essentially leather and neroli. The leather in this reminds me a lot of gucci guilty absolute but toned down a little and maybe a little more wearable. At dry down (after about 2 hours) it is basically 85% gucci guilty absolute once the neroli becomes sort of background noise. I like this scent profile the only issue for me is the projection is really weak. I'm not the type that likes projection bombs and want a whole room to notice me, but the projection of this is really understated. Longevity is also a bit underwhelming, as I get around 5-6 hours. I haven't spent a lot of time with this fragrance so maybe with other wears that projection will increase. Edit: the longevity is better than I thought but as a skin scent.

Woah... Now this was an experience!! From the first spray, there's a genuine heat to this, a West African noon scorch. A super-dose of leather & labdanum, the leather from some non-domesticated animal. The hide of a wildebeest, or elephant - left to bake in the sun for so long that it'll burn you if you touch it. The smell of everything else plays in the background - the warm grass, cooked earth, the animals and what they leave behind. Funnily enough, as it dries down way fresher - a sort of 70/30 neroli/soft leather mix. Interesting! I couldn't wear this but I loved trying it. At the risk of sounding like my father: Santal Volcanique, why can't you be more like your peers?

Not at all what I expected. To be honest, I hated it on first application. As it settled, I began to like it more and more. I wouldn't call it a love, but I do like it. Very heavy on a soapy leather note, lots of cardamom (which stuck out to me immediately, but I couldn't identify it until I read the notes). Very slight layer of warm neroli and citruses to soften it. At it's heart, I would identify it as a European spa/soap scent. Not perfume-y or cologne-like. Someone passing by you would probably just think you smell clean and "nice". Wears fairly close, but lasts a long time on my skin. Still not a fan of the initial blast, but the drydown is lovely.

A very unique leather fragrance with a slight green punch from the petitgrain and a slightly grape-y vibe from the orange blossom mixed with the labdanum. There are plenty of leather frags that smell overwhelmingly masculine to me (ombre leather for example), and this is not one of them. This fragrance really twists the leather note using citrus and florals so that it's more approachable, at least in the first couple hours. The drydown loses a bit of the floral aspects that makes this so unisex, so i can see why overall some would say it leans masculine. Probably ideal for spring or fall when it's slightly cold out still.

What a fabulous surprise this turned out to be! I nearly wrote it off based on the test strips’ punchy leather and masculine lean, but I’m so glad that I didn’t. On my skin, the leather note is softer, almost suede like. It’s powdery and supple, while the mandarin is reading more sweet than acidic. The orange flower gives it a light touch of “headiness”. It’s all together bewitching. This, coming from someone who truly struggles with leather dominant fragrances. I think this should make for the perfect scent to wrap up the season with, while welcoming falls’ all too eager approach.

When I first applied this, I said, "Whoooooooooa too masculine" and started to walk the vial over to my husband's cologne stash. But as I was walking, it almost immediately became smoother and warmer. The opening is harsh, sharp, even metallic, but wait a minute or two. After that, it bloomed into a warm, sunny neroli. The leather and labdanum notes are giving it a light amber-like quality, too. This is a dressy, night-time neroli to me. Lovely, enveloping. I kept it.

Bitter Leather Neroli Naimba is not your normal Neroli fragrance. it oppens with a strong and slightly bitter Neroli, but a few secons later the leather and labdanum take over. Hints of cardamon and pepper are helping the leather settle in and becoming dominant. After a few hours neroli becomes the top note again. I must admit this fragrance took me by surprise and i loved it. It reminds me of Gucci Guilty Absolute.

I kind of expected not to like this as much as I do because I sometimes have a hard time with neroli and leather, and thought it sounded like an odd combination but the two work surprisingly well together. A bit on the sweet side with few animalic or indolic elements characteristic of neroli. There is an also fruitiness that reminds me of their other fragrance oud maracuja.

This still surprised me at first I hated it but now it’s growing on me. It’s most neroli and leather for me with hints of orange and labdanum in there. Definitely could be a nice summer night leather very wearable. 8.6/10

Not that neroli type. It’s just a name. It’s fine and pleasant when you smell it on you time after time but for me it’s one time buy. Clean, classy, office friendly, peaceful. 6/10

It smells like a classic masculine cologne tbh. I expected plain neroli but Maison Crivelly always brings a fun twist to everything. The leather base is clean and masculine.

Its a soft leather fragrance you can wear during summer. If u like leather fragrances but u find them too heavy to wear during spring or summer, then this is for you.

As others have stated, this is a leather dominant scent, don’t let the name fool you. Nice and likable still though.

I like this more and more as I revisit my sample. I’m not a fan of leather fragrances, but in this the leather adds a fun and super interesting “base” to what would otherwise be a simple citrus freshie. It maintains its cleanness but the leather makes it “sturdy” instead of “soapy”. And that’s a really different thing to anything I’ve experienced. It feels more like a fall daily driver, or a summer evening casual fragrance, but I can imagine for the right person it has signature scent potential, but that’s for a very specific person. It’s not a safe blind buy and I can imagine some people won’t like it for themselves, but that doesn’t make it a fragrance that people around you won’t like. It’s not divisive in that way. If you like it and it suits you, I think it’s generally a nice fragrance that won’t bother people. But it’s not “mass appealing”. It’s distinct. A good distinct, but distinct nonetheless.

On first sniff this is a spicy white floral with leathery facets. Reminds me a little bit of osmanthus with that soft fruity leathery quality. Then, the leather blooms and becomes a strong, dry leather, drowning out the white floral for a bit. After the first 15 minutes, it melds together better and becomes a spicy white floral and dry leather scent. It feels very mature. I’d picture this on a 55-year-old private practice psychologist. One who has explored the world and decorates the office with their souvenir collection. This psychologist does not take insurance. In the deep dry down, it’s dry and leathery but in a sweet and floral way. It’s more subdued than the mid. I got about 6 hours of wear on my skin. Overall, not for me but I don't think it's as bad as some of the scathing reviews say.

Pepper, citrus, a lot of leather, labdanum. This was much darker, more masculine, and earthy/leathery than I expected. Like, it smells like the Harley-Davidson store. A faint scent (again, mostly leather) was still present on my arm the next day. Not bad, just not what I assumed it would be.

This one is centered around leather and vetiver, with a light neroli/petitgrain on top just during the opening. I don’t get any mandarin or cardamon. Very serious, mature smell that is completely masculine. A pass for me.

Neroli is already not a favourite note of mine, so I didn’t head into this with high expectations. Unfortunately Neroli Nasimba sunk even lower than this expectations, it’s simply an unpleasant scent. The idea on paper sounds great, amazingly unique and bold in its composition, but the end result is just disappointing. The neroli in here isn’t actually too bad, that’s not where my issue lies. The problem starts with the orange blossom, it’s so overdone that it becomes almost scratchy and far too thick, whilst the pink pepper seems to amplify this. Then in comes the leather, which is brave to combine with white florals and difficult to do right, which here it has not succeeded. It’s a shame really, I wanted to like this scent but I just can’t get along with it unfortunately. If you’re a lover of neroli I can’t imagine this is going to blow you away, it certainly left me feeling a little bit underwhelmed.

I guess I'm learning that this specific type of leather isn't for me, because it straight up smells like brand new leather sneakers when you just bought them from your local footwear store. It's an ultra-clean, wrinkleless rubbery leather, picturing the color beige/off-white. If it wasn't for this association I'd enjoy it more. Maybe I prefer slightly rougher more animalic leathers (without going over the top funky) but this one is just too fake, synthetic, and polished, and not sure if it's because of some extra sensitivity to the note in this fragrance but it overpowers everything else and it just smells like those shoe freshener balls. This is the single fragrance I dislike from the entire house (I have only not tried Osmanthe Kodoshan) and MC has some of my favorite frags, so I think it's really just the association that makes me dislike it.

I have had 2 bottles of this and let both of them go in the end. I have yet to find a fragrance I love from this house and it isn't for a lack of trying but this one is another fail. I first received a bottle in the 2024 HN fragrance advent and tried to like it but there was just something in the fragrance that I did not enjoy on me. Is this horrible? No but it contains leather which is a note I really struggle to enjoy it has to be dominated by a good floral for me to appreciate it and sadly this one is dominated by the spices. While it is a no from me both bottles were rehomed with someone who will give them the love and attention they deserve while my search for a MC fragrance like continues.

Neroli Nasimba had potential, but I quickly realised that neroli just isn’t for me. The floral intensity was overwhelming, and while some might find it refreshing or bright, it felt too sharp on my skin. The balance was off for my personal taste, and I couldn't quite get comfortable with it. It’s a bold scent, but unfortunately, it didn’t suit me.

Overwhelming leather, underwhelming neroli and the orange opening note feels very typical which is not what I expect from MC. My least favorite of theirs so far.

If you want to smell like straight up treated leather this is the scent for you!

Smells like Hungarian thermal water

Reading the other reviews of this fragrance, I can barely believe we are reviewing the same fragrance. I love neroli, but absolutely detested this fragrance. The leather notes were so strong I could barely smell anything else: it reminded me of the smell of a car mechanic's workshop. It did not dry down to anything approaching pleasant either.

Sour, acidic, robust, has tone of filth in it from certain musks that I can't personally stand. Reminds of long unwashed intimate body parts odor. Nothing I imagine I could wear due to personal intolerance of accords. Not sure this one is made for the ladies skin either.

This is very leather dominant on me. The leather leans animatic, almost skanky. It is heavily masculine and to have neroli in the name is very misleading - a strong dislike from me!

I wholeheartedly believe the people rating this as a soapy, floral, neroli-forward summer scent didn't spend more than five minutes with the scent. Sure, the fragrance carries the word "neroli" in its name - but that note is hardly anywhere to be seen or heard after the immediate opening. Instead, Neroli Nasimba takes a hard turn towards dry, leathery notes after the first minutes. In the mid, it loses the fresh and floral aspects nearly entirely and transforms into something carrying a distant, yet unmistakable resemblance to ELDO's Rien. Yes, the same Rien that people describe smelling like paint thinner, petrol, and animalic leather. In my view, it's primarily those notes that dominate NN's scent profile deep into the drydown - not neroli, soapy, or any other refreshing elements. Admittedly, unlike Rien, NN remains relatively airy and light throughout the wear, and as such, is an easier wearing experience and better suited for everyday use. In fact, I wouldn't mind at all smelling this even in an office environment. I can see, however, how this might not be everyone's cup of tea and can be quite polarizing. By no means, a blind-buy-safe fragrance. The performance is, well, just ok; nothing to write home about but gets the job done. Overall a nice execution from Maison Crivelli. Personally, not the biggest fan of the house, but this is something I'd consider buying a full bottle of.
