Figue Aoudii

This is my 4th fragrance from the house of Maison Insens. Ordered this after smelling the sample that came in with my last order. I love fig fragrances, so naturally I was attracted to this one. Fig and leather? Interesting combination you just have to try, if you love these notes. Fig Aoudii definitely has the Maison Insens DNA, if you tried any of their other fragrances and loved them, you can probably guess how this one smells like. For those who didn't: sample first. The sample pack is fully refundable if you order a full size fragrance, which is great. This is a dark, syrupy fig. Not the green kind you find in other fragrances. It's ultra sexy, thick, gourmand yet so very dark and complex. It is a very "sticky-fingers" sweet fragrance. The fig is the main player but it also has a strong support from leather, oud, irit, violets and other notes. The dry down is a bit amber-y but the fig is still going strong even after hours of wear. This is a true nisch imo, not for everyone as it might require some experience with the more unique side of the fragrance world. Longevity - hours on hours. Projection - so so. Might be a good thing since this one is pretty strong and not a crowd pleaser. Season - most say winter. Gender - unisex

This one is absolutely mesmerizing! Words to describe it would be smoky, incensy, not too sweet, slightly powdery, alluring, delicious. This is a hippie scent if ever there was one. And I absolutely love it! Wear this one on date night and you will get ate tf up. Trust me. Incredibly well-blended. Nothing off-putting about this lovely fragrance. Quite the opposite, actually.

Definitely NOT good option for blind buying , was pretty excited when I saw the fig, iris , oud , , amber notes , but the perfume hits you with this very burnt oud and leather , very weak caramelized fig in the background , and also very synthetic bergamot . I don't hate this fragrance but I would never wear it , I see what people might like about it , just not for everybody for sure , it does get better over time on skin .If you're looking for something very unique and niche ( not a crowd pleaser ) try it out in a sample

Smoky, charred, half-ripe banana. A bit headachy from Iso E Super and synthetic oud. I think Figue Aoudii is mostly ylang ylang, birch tar and this oud. In the beginning I don't get much I'd associate with fig but that cedary, greener accent does come through as the perfume develops and the ylang ylang quietens. It's the most interesting/unexpected I've smelled so far from this house but I'm not exactly gagging to wear it out. It makes me think of a fire-damaged greengrocers with stacks of barbecued plantain outside.

This is a difficult perfume for me. I try to take a long shallow breath when I first test perfumes, and I am stopped short. gtabasso has it when she says it "catches in your throat". I imagine a fig caught in a car's exhaust pipe.

The initial blast is a very sweet, green fig with a hint of incense. As it dries down, it does get that sharp, metallic fig that catches in your throat with a little powdery iris. The ylang disappears so the scent gets drier.

I love fig, but in this is too much leather...almost kills the other incense...I just guess is somewhere some fig rests. Not for me...but remember a bit with some pine tree resins...like a fresh cut Christmas Tree.

The first thing my brain went to when I tried my sample on was grape cough syrup. But I don’t dislike it! I get the leather note. The fig note isn’t like any other fig I’ve tried but I don’t know how to describe why besides the grape nuance. I think the uniqueness of the would make it interesting (in a good way) on a man. Pretty weird for a woman considering the vast availability of absolutely gorgeous scents for women.

This one smells like a watermelon gum, kind of cloying than naturally blended. It smells like an over sugar blend of gums blended with sweet leather and violets. Over sweetened and very cloying.
