Philosopher’s Veil

Yet another outstanding fragrance from Maison Jaxob. I ordered the discovery set from the brand and the minute I smelt this I went on and ordered a full bottle. Along with my other second favourite, favourite sin. This is such a beautiful clean smell that can be worn by a male or female. In the opening you get the lavender, ginger and berry notes. These remain through wearing the fragrance and it’s so addictive. I would say this is different from the other fragrances the house offers as you can easily wear this fragrance at any time of year. As with all Maison Jaxob fragrances the performance is great and you’ll get 8 hours out of this. 4 hours with good projection with it slowly fading down to a skin scent after 7 hours. I’m very happy to have this one in my collection and will definitely be owning more in the future. I also have to note that the customer service and personal touches received in the box are amazing. You can tell that the owner Jacob cares about fragrance and he is truly a super talented guy.

Smelling on the paper card, this one is very aromatic. From the notes list i totally get lavender, oregano and ginger with some myrrh and vanilla. It's herbal and resinous at the same time. It's heady and realistic, as if i can see the lavender field infront of my eyes. However i am not sure if this is worth the pricetag.. will evaluate further EDIT: I love the opening so much that I find myself spraying literally every hour quality juice

I was gifted a discovery set with my Forbidden Sketch 100ml order. This one is the easiest to wear out of the bunch. Very strong sparkling lavender champagne that is developing into a creamy spicy vanilla base. It layers beautifully with the Iris on Forbidden Sketch. Gorgeous.
