Gods Wait to Delight in You

Opening notes are a bit astringent to my nose, but after a few minutes it mellows to a sparkling green scent. What's lingers is a creamy, fresh, and slightly musky scent. I don't detect the rhubarb outright, which is what knocks this down from a 'love' to 'like'. I can see this being easy and fun to reapply and layer with, and I can't wait to wear it all summer! The price-point is unbeatable for the volume, story-telling, and packaging. I would not hesitate to purchase from this house again, and it appears they are expanding their line and will be offering samples. Edit: Rhubarb comes out more in the dry down, which is give a tartness to the creaminess - exactly what I was after! Also, the atomizer on this is among the best I've used.

just stunning. i've always liked this house for making perfumes that were magically blended so that none of the notes were super distinguishable. smells like how they describe it, a bottle of luck. green, creamy, with a bit of a coup de boost. well done maison millais!

I’d primarily describe Gods Wait to Delight in You as green and ozonic. The Ivy comes to the front with a hint of rhubarb in the back which adds texture to the fragrance. As the wear time goes on, it evolves with a subtle sweetness in the background but the green aspects are still at the forefront. The image that comes to mind is a cute, young, adventurous boy his first year at Oxford. He sneaks into a secluded garden by climbing over a wall filled with ivy.

One of my all-time favourite fragrances. It sprays very, very green, like a literal tree, but it settles very quickly into something soooo much more complex and delicious and unique. A little fresh, a little fruity (I think this is the champagne? and maybe a touch of honey??), a little woody, a little green - this scent somehow manages to be both old-school and mischievous at the same time. It definitely makes me think of spring, but would probably work through the summer too, at least in northern climates. Also possibly the most truly gender-diverse fragrance I've ever encountered: my husband bought this for our April wedding and now we both wear it regularly. Performance is higher than I would have expected at this price point - moderate sillage, moderate longevity. It doesn't stick around as well on clothes as I would like it to, but weirdly, that's become part of its charm for me? Idk. I think maybe I'm just in love. And hoping they start shipping to Europe soon so I can get more from this house!

I cry. The new Reformulation is no longer what this baby once was. It now smells like how this fragrance used to smell through the lens of an old powdery wooden closet. Their new DNA is very antique smelling and they added this new DNA to the 2026 Reformulation. Thank God Mossy Glen is still alive and kicking.
