Prophetic Saffron

Such a disjointed assortment of notes. Some aren't awful, some are putrid. What a strange scent! It made me feel like I was a NYC taxi driver, sitting in my cab with my pile of "Black Ice" air fresheners just having vomited out the driver's side door my lunch of my favorite goat curry. Was it spoiled? Was it something else I ate? I don't know. I can smell the after effects - the vomit, the curry, the "Black Ice" and any other lingering smells in the taxi. Longevity was way too long and I scrubbed it off. Projection was medium and it was enough to make the experience thoroughly unpleasant.

Hi friends, I’m surprised that this does not have a review yet, so I wanted to add a little insight. I hope that this may help. I really enjoyed wearing this fragrance. A friend of mine that is approaching 70 said, " Oh that smells like Jovan musk!". – so I wasn’t sure how to feel about that comment– I have never smelled Jovan musk – I know that that was a very popular perfume that many people wore and enjoyed in the 70’s. IMO Prophetic saffron echoed 1969 by Histoires de Parfum. I prefer the 1969 over this perfume. They both open up rather spicy, but this particular perfume was not as complex and addictive on my skin as the 1969. Prophetic saffron, started out spicy, then leveled off to a rather static slightly spicy clean musk. As we perfume lovers know -it’s all about the chemistry – possibly this scent needs a different skin chemistry to really pull out the nuances that are definitely present in this fragrance. I would probably purchase a bottle of this if I didn’t prefer the 1969 perfume. (I wore and tested a sample of 1969 on my skin over three years ago, and I still love it and want a bottle )Prophetic Saffron didn’t sing on my skin the way the complexity of 1969 did. I think that this is definitely worth a try. I really enjoy this line and I’m looking forward to trying others.
