Jasmin Satin

This is a fragrance that seems to be polarizing, and I’m on that loves it. I tested this and after a few hours of wearing it, I ordered a bottle. My nose gets a beautiful soft jasmine opening intertwined with a very calming tea nuance. Think about Jasmin Des Anges and Camomile Satin together, but separate! The woody notes are not prominent to my nose, but the dry down does give me a wonderful musky note that is not the main character, but softens the fragrance even more on my skin. I love the scent bubble, and the sillage it leaves. After a few hrs of wearing it ( I am an oversprayer FYI), my fiancé mentioned he could smell me upstairs even after hrs of not being up there. This is a gorgeous femenine fragrance that is not indolic, gives my brain a zen mood, and makes me feel centered, and replaying that audio in my head “Do you or do you not feel bonita?”... and I do feel bonita indeed wearing Jasmin Satin 😊

This is so pretty. It's like the child of Dior Jasmin des Anges and Memo Flam. The opening has the sunny, floral, touch-of-peach vibe of Jasmin des Anges, then it settles down on a creamy base of soft amber-musk-woods very reminiscent of Flam. To my nose, the jasmine is dancing en corps with the other notes rather than being the prima ballerina, as the name might suggest.

This begins as a white floral, then becomes fruity floral and ends as fruity musk on me. Overall, spring perfect!

Utterly beautiful. I can't wait to buy a full bottle.

Jasmin Satin was crazy-rich and full-bodied. Voluptuous. (no wonder, with gardenia, lily and orange blossom on top of jasmine) Sweet at first but then mellowing to be less so. The kind of scent I would have hated and immediately given away if I was testing 5 years ago. But my tolerance for florals has grown and this one was well crafted I thought. A couple thoughts on jasmine: Over 2 days, I’ve been testing 3 perfumes that heavily feature jasmine: Elegantly Tokyo, Jasmin Satin, and Babylon Sunset. ET was clean, spare, and soft but not faint. No richness or frou frou. Straightforward and ladylike I thought, but then I read a review saying someone’s husband loved to wear it, and I could imagine men liking it too. BS had a fun, playful, candy-like opening that was pretty brief. turned me off for about a half-hour but I stuck with it. The dry down was both interesting and layered. Once it became more about the vanilla and berries, it was more inviting. I was sorry that the fruity top notes were overtaken so quickly by rose/jasmine/honey. Jasmin Satin was by far the richest and most over-the-top. None of these would be on my buy list but I had fun trying.

A very beautiful white floral scent. It reminds me of green jasmine tea in a garden in the middle of a warm, sunny spring morning. For me, this fragrance is all about jasmine and gardenia. The peach note pops out not from the very start, but within 1-1.5h of wear, this is when you can easily detect it. Musk, woods, and sand - perhaps they’re there somewhere in the background, but they’re barely noticeable. The jasmine note feels very photorealistic and natural, so if you’re a jasmine lover, this fragrance is definitely worth trying. I’d even dare to say that if you’re fond of white florals, it’s quite a safe blind buy. Is it complicated? No, it isn’t. Is it plain? No, it’s not. It’s simple, natural, gently sweet, and I love it. Fresh, floral, bright, inoffensive, feminine. A literal spring in a bottle for me

The opening of Jasmin Satin reminds me a bit of Estee Lauder's Tuberose/Gardenia. Rosewood combined w/ the gardenia is strong like w/ EL Tuberose/Gardenia but as that opening fades and it fades rather quickly, Jasmin Satin becomes a fruity/peachy jasmine scent that is quite girly and less womanly. There is a beachy quality here, probably from the "sand" note (sand doesn't smell) but I smell a slight coconut, some driftwood and slight aquatic notes which are probably combined to create the 'sand accord or note. This is a nice light jasmine scent that isn't too heavy. Nothing indolic here this jasmine is soapy clean. A nice beach type of scent for casual days hanging w/ friends.

Delicate and feminine, it is like a nice bouquet of white flowers. Perfect for spring and summer. I really liked this fragrance, very light and lovely for a spring/summer day. The white florals are delicate and comforting. It is quite simple though; for me, the notes only change from a bouquet of white floral focus up front to a dry down of a more cozy, musky, but still white floral dominated scent. For that reason, I don't think I'd buy a whole bottle. It just wasn't special enough for me to spend that much money on it. But I may continue to get samples. I think this would be a great layering perfume, and great for anyone looking for an everyday, casual, non-offending scent.

I like this quite a bit but I get a synthetic note that -strangely- slightly reminds me of the waxy cinnamon I get in Nobile 1942 La Danza delle Libellule. Something is getting crossed in my nose. It may be the peach that was mentioned as 'baby wipes land'. It has an industrial laundry or fresh wipes vibe indeed. I still like it. But rich, heady realistic floral is not the impression I get, which is how it was marketed? unless I'm remembering the backstory incorrectly.

Ngửi xong sẽ nghĩ thẳng tới mùi sáp thơm phòng hương nhài. Một tí idolic từ nhài, một tí fruity từ đào, hơi creamy nhẹ; tuy nói là giống mùi thơm phòng nhưng không hề hắc mũi mà khá là dịu, rất đáng thử :D

I ordered a few samples from this house and this was the one I was most excited to try. I'll say 1st that with the several I've sampled, I've largely been underwhelmed considering the price-point. This is very much a fruity-floral bouquet. Definitely a white flower melange with a very noticeable peach. I was hoping for something more jasmine-centric but it doesn't really stand out to me. Maybe the lily is what feels most prominent. It is a bit shrill for me. Something about it feels matronly and prim, even. Also very garden party or daytime wedding. In some ways it reminds me of L'Occitane Fleur d'Or Acacia which I own (and is d/c) but not as smooth, or as good IMO. I'll probably give it a few more wears since I don't dislike it, but probably won't think about it beyond that.

A nice yellow fruity duo of jasmine and magnolia...that lose any interest after 30 min. Inconsistent...for this price it would have been normal to have something more complex than an luxuous room spray.

Some days I really like this and others I find it soapy. Overall the performance is pretty bad, though, so I can’t say it’s worth purchasing.

A fruity sunny jasmin, brilliant int the beginning but lacks depth in tha latter stages.

Wow I do not like this. It’s been on an hour and I want to scrub still. This is a shrill high pitched floral to me that I would expect in a very cheap brand that you can get for around $20. None of it is enjoyable to me, sadly.

Well, no such luck. The peach note ruins Jasmin Satin for me. It’s sometimes a difficult note with my chemistry and here it pulls synthetic into baby wipes land.

I was hoping for a more Jasmine scent but all I got was peach , peach ,peach ! My least favourite fruit scent . Definite no for me

I'm surprised by this, because initially I didn't like it. There is some sort of licorice-y quality to the opening that initially came across as synthetic, but upon second test it's actually developing nicely into a sexy jasmine. I'm not getting much greenness from this. I'm not getting peach, but I am getting woodiness. I think the notes read as spectacular, and the fragrance itself is just fine. I wouldn't mind getting it as a gift but I wouldn't buy a full bottle.

To my nose, Jasmin sambac is the star here. It is prominent, recognizably the jasmine used for my favourite jasmine pearls green tea. But it isn't a transparent jasmine - it's been thickened with a heavy white floral syrup. So the name is appropriate. Love at first sniff for me, but I use it sparingly.
