Sel-Vanille

I bought this right after I have finished my bottle of YSL Libre intense, and I fell in love with it, I would say they have some similarities, while this one for me at least is more versatile scent, as it is great for day and night. I have received multiple compliments on it and some say that when they smell it it reminds them of me which I absolutely love. When I got it I also received testers of other scents by the same brand, but this one still wins my heart. I would not say that it smells very "fresh" on me at least, it is a clean vanilla with some other notes that I notice myself most of the time. Probably will repurchase it as the price is great at my perfume shop (110euro for 100ml) and it lasted almost 2 years for me while using it not everyday and mixing things up sometimes. I wish the longevity was better as I want to smell it all of the time on myself. If I had to describe the scent as a feeling I would say that it feels like you just got out of the shower and went out with your close friends for a cozy evening in a local bar. Probably that's because it reminds me of these type of evenings as I would smell this scent on my scarf.

This is vanilla for people who don’t want vanilla to behave badly. It is like the good tempered little sister to Vanilla Vibes - really just as good, but minus all the sligthly 'chaotic JHAG edges' I struggle a bit with on the wrong day. It’s airy, gently sweet and softly mineral — more “salt-kissed skin with vanilla warmth” than dessert. No icing sugar, no sharp synthetic edges, no headache territory. Just calm, elegant, quietly addictive vanilla that works year-round and layers beautifully. It’s not loud or showy, but it is VERY very wearable and refined! If you like your gourmands grown-up, restrained and a little understated, Sel Vanille is a very easy love.

Really like this one. I think vanilla is hard to do for the summertime without a ton of fruits employed, but the vanilla is done so well here. I think it’s that sage. The herbal-ness is so addicting to me, I find myself thinking about it even on days when I’m not wearing this lol. It’s SO refreshing, a little minty, and an overall relaxed effortlessly cool feel. On skin the vanilla shines. On clothes I get a lot of that jasmine. It’s a bit hard to get samples of this so I thought I’d try another marine vanilla out (Levante by Nobile), thinking they’d be similar. But NOPE, I really need that sage!

A comparison with L'Artisan Parfumeur's Coleur Vanille as they are both salty vanillas. This is a little more oceanic with a slight herbal feel to which I assume is the sage. CV is more basic to me.....just a very salty, addictive vanilla. I love both. This is just beautifully crafted...it's is linear but at the same time, it's not boring. I can not stop smelling myself. I'll wear this tomorrow to work to determine is longevity. This can definitely be worn in summer, as it's not a cloying vanilla but almost refreshing. A sexy summer night is what I imagine! Love.
