Maissa: Black smocking very warm, great scent, very mysterious and sexy The heat deasn't affect its smells, great for winter, great for dating, gives an "husband material" vibes to it (don't judge me haha), I recommend buying dupe for less, although you can really enjoy the maissa black smocking, and another recommendation - do not blind buy :-)

Peachy, dark, warm, broody. Lightly sweet. Bitter Peach and Tobacolor comparisons are spot on.

I visited the boutique today near Place Vendôme, and yes, I lost respect for the brand when I saw the typo on the bottle. The sales assistant (who was bilingual, like me) said she hadn't noticed it before and seemed mortified. Epic fail, I believe people would have said ten years ago. The perfume is OK, I smelled many of them and nothing grabbed my attention.

Way overpriced for a clone that doesn't even come close to the original smell. If u an expert in fragrance u will never pay more then $30 for that brand , clones with ridiculous price tag

I agree with @shpalman in asking: "what's a 'smocking'?" But I presume to know the answer: French inability or unwillingness to get a native-English-speaking editor for their perfume bottle labels!! I think -- based on the fact that this has tobacco as one of the main notes-- it is supposed to read "Smoking" (like BDK's "Rouge Smoking"). EXCEPT: some moron (yes, I am calling the person who gave final sign-off on this "Rouge Smocking" name a moron, from a linguistic perspective) couldn't be bothered to check his English. If Maison Maïssa would like to hire an editor, I am available for the position. (I am a native English speaker, as well as a near-native French speaker.) I also have an in-depth knowledge of written English writing/spelling patterns, such as the Long ō used in the word "smoking" versus the Short o used in "smocking" .... the latter of which rhymes with docking, pocking, hocking, or pocking [but does not rhyme with "talking or stalking", to be clear]. Oh, Maison Maïssa... what silliness you have printed up on all your labels. But who knows? Maybe someone will inform them of their mistake, and they will do another label run, and these wrongly-printed labels will become collectors' editions! (see what I did there? ... with that plural possessive use of the apostrophe?) But on the upside: the fragrance notes look beautiful!

Three different people in the reviews, who all have access to the internet, couldn't be bothered to look up the word "smocking" in the dictionary (or google, wikipedia, etc.). Yes, smocking is a word. Meaning: decoration on a garment created by gathering a section of the material into tight pleats and holding them together with parallel stitches in an ornamental pattern. Is it possible that it was a type-o? Maybe, but I'd say it's more likely that they named it this on purpose. So, instead of going on a six paragraph rant about how stupid someone is for not using the word YOU think they meant to use, maybe take 5 seconds to make sure you're not making a false assumption, just because you don't recognize a certain word.

This perfume takes the best out of Bitter peach + Tobacolor. Amazing smell, good performance. Excellent for winter

This is not a mistake. You are just stupid to understand that it is a name, not a word.
