Boozy, dense, caramelized orange peel - on the surface, all the other notes are blended in seamlessly to create an incredibly addictive version of an Old Fashioned coctail. Such a wellblended perfection! I must admit, my first sample did not impress me as my olfactory experience was quite limited at the time. Years past and when I returned to the sample I was blown away by the beauty of it. It is warm, comfortably sweet and spicy and feels so familiar that I could cry tears of joy. I knew that even if the sample has gone more consentrated or changed over time, I should still try and get the bottle, this is too beautifull to pass on. Months later I managed to order a 120ml bottle, the one that looks like a rough wooden pebble sitting on top of a glass stone. The juice inside - exactly the same as in the sample. I could not have been happier! The wear is superb all year round - warming in winter and magicaly enticing in summer. Serious drinks at the coffee bar, that oozes class and elegance.

Sooo unique!!!!! I blind bought this with Olfactive Studio Vanilla Shot. Ironically the only other scent I know close to this - what were the chances? I wasn’t expecting that from the notes or descriptions. SUPER SUPER SUPER smooth bright opening of neroli and citruses quickly drop to reveal a gentle sweet lavender on top of a super super super smooth caramel mixed with vanilla bodied and surrounded by sweet rum. The base being the smooth woods perfectly blended in and a pinch of cloves just to pinch the top of the scent. It’s dark warming and amberous. It’s like an awesome creme custard with the syrup running in a rum floater in the table surrounded by all the other notes. Even get a burnt smell like someone has taken the blow torch to the sugar on the cream brulee. Bright gorgeous deep dark gourmand amberous -it’s got it all. Give these both ago - I reckonchances are you’d walk away with one sniffing them non stop...

@BlueMoon YES! Thank you!! It was on the tip of my tongue and drivin me nuts that I couldn't place what it reminded me of. Sweet corn is right, good job! Salty sweet combo and winning at it, to be sure. First (sampling blind) I took it for a very upscale caramel scent, very realistic, salty-edged and actual crystalline sugar/vanilla blend. But there's something warm, and almost buttered at the edges that's difficult to place. I'd say it could be celery salt crunchiness mixed w/ warm, almost there coffee. Perhaps. Anyway it comes across smelling like mouthwatering hot corn blasted on the grill til the skins blister and the kernels are full of that juicy warm natural sweetness. Fascinating! Great sillage from just a dab sample on my leg! Not sure I want to go down the rabbit hole with this house but this is tempting. Oddly, I have to click 'love'. It's too unique, rich, and fascinating not to. [11.5.14]

Before Fusion Sacree, there were none; after Fusion Sacree there will be no more. I hope I have everyone's undivided attention...This stuff is so good it made me edit my other reviews. This aroma is competitive to all the gourmand greats such as Gourmand Coquin, Ambre Naugille, etc. So many notes to choose from where do I start.. A rummy opening aggregated with extreme caramel capsized by tons of harvest. There's also a slight smokey ingredient that I have yet to figure out. To sum up everything, Rum and Caramel headlines the scent throughout making pit stops to each note. The Rum and Caramel then races back onto the track in search of the next set of notes to tangle with. IMMEDIATE WORDS: Comforting, Smooth, Sweet, Dandy, Delicate, Delicious, Week at the knees, Will You Marry Me. It would be disrespectful to call this sublime. The word to describe this haven't been concocted. "BLIND BUY WORTHY"

Bertrand Duchaufour is a genius of modern perfumery. I approached this quiet gem with caution given that it combines some very eclectic notes that may or may not work with each other - spicy elements with gourmand elements - Rum, citron, celery, sweet orange, neroli, cardamom, lavender, davana, bergamot, white coffee, tuberose absolute, cloves, geranium, sweet william pear, liquorice, benzoin resinoid, opoponax resinoid, ambergris, cedar, sandalwood, vanilla, caramel and musk. But what a beauty the end product is. The juice is simply divine and radiates with ethereal and mystical beauty. The oyster shaped bottle is a piece of modern art in itself. Longevity is good and projection on the high moderate end. This is a gorgeous, sweet, and beautifully blended gourmand that deserves your attention if you are into the sweeter and mysterious perfumery confections.

This RULES. Outstanding high-concept fragrance that aims high and actually sticks the landing. From the note breakdown, you'd think this was just going to be a weird unfocused soup of random ingredients, but this works brilliantly, ultimately striking a great balance between balsamic amber and aromatic spice. The coffee/celery combo is so off-the-wall it's almost hilarious, but the effect is really stunning. Much more wearable than I expected. That said, it's not a typical smell. You do have to appreciate a bit of a curve ball in terms of scent profile, so definitely sample before buying. But ultimatley I get the impression that Bertrand Duchaufour had a lot of fun creating this, and that enthusiasm really shines through in the final product.

Ok, this one is getting on me. A true gem I have to say. At first I wasn't blown away by this, but after a few testing and wearings this one gets better and better. It's so good that this will be one of my favorite fall/winter scents. And I'm not talking about the amazing gourmand vibe from the caramel and the rum, the vanilla and amber sweetness, no, what I really love is the smokiness that kicks this scent into another level. I don't know where this bonfire smoke comes from, but I guess it's the amber in combination with the musk that is of superb quality. This smoke melts every note into a notes trip through the whole process from beginning to end. This one makes you hunger for chilly fall days and cold winter evenings.

Wow...i dont know where to begin with this. This is a rollercoaster on lsd, while you're watching everything with a kaleidoscope. Its everchanging, it feels sooo dynamic, like you need to chase after it how fast it changes...I have never smelled anything like this. This is in its own category, it could fit 5 genres at minimum. This feels like a Pollock mural with every single color in the painting. This is pure art, everything about this thing.

Such a fascinating fragrance, it was an instant love for me. Softly dark, mystical, introspective, and elegant. It has an earthy quality, yet it's not completely grounded; it ascends like incense smoke, feeling like an enveloping, enigmatic haze. For some reason, the image it keeps bringing to my mind is of being inside a mystical cave, filled with incense smoke of an ancient, sacred ritual.

It is a perfume that invokes magic... an explosion of serenity,warmth,tenderness... a unique fusion! is very sweet and sugary, in the drydown is resinous and the set of notes, vibrating in harmony.. this fragrance has a unique wake,almost dreamy ... This smelt very different to what i expected by looking at the notes.. but i like it. A lot. Its very mysterious & classy. It’s not as dark as i anticipated. Its a slightly sweet light incense. I do get a little caramel, vanilla & coffee but its not too sweet or strong. It’s a hard fragrance to explain. I definitely suggest trying it.

Even though I’m not seeing an incense note, I’m getting a very spicy, enchanting incense from this, which doesn’t surprise me since it’s from the same perfumer as Avignon and Kyoto. It kind of reminds me of Francesca Bianchi The Dark Side, which is a masterpiece.

+ Warm ambery spice coffee but also very aromatic! I smell Christmasy pine reminiscent of winter holidays to me. Very complex. Definitely leans masculine though. It's a masterpiece alongside Fusion Sacrée Clair by Majda Bekkali. Both are amazing fragrances.

Sophisticated, graceful. Earlier citrus notes that after a few minutes blend to sweet notes of tuberose and rum. I love it. Simply a masterpiece.

~I Shouted Out From The Roof Tops And Proclaimed My Love To You. But Now All I Am Left With Is A Bitter Sweet Impression Of What You Once Meant To Me~ The first time I encountered this fragrance was in the beginning of Jan 2014. I finally received the sample I ordered in the mail. What happened next was a revelation I was not expecting a fragrance to cause within me. This is the most supernatural metaphysical conjuring I have ever witnessed in a perfume. I was blown away by the resinous / incensey, boozy, sweet caramel concoction which was infusing upon my skin. This was a supernatural bliss which stunned me! It was as if it had a soul of it's own piercing from deep inside of me making me week down to my knees. The feeling was too overwhelming but oh was I so willing to surrender to it. It was not only a one time thing, but this fragrance kept revealing it's incantation over and over every time I sampled it. So came the time I finally decided to commit and buy a full bottle of it. My 120 Ml bottle arrived early Oct 2014. In awe of having it in my possession unsuspecting of the heresy I was going to encounter next. Upon spraying it from the full bottle the first time I felt it smelled different, but did not quite mind it because my memories of what it used to be blinded me from seeing the truth. I kept using it frequently but in the back of my head I knew something was different. And now I finally decided to succumb to reality and accept that this Gem to my opinion has been reformulated to a certain degree. From the full bottle I no longer get that immense boozyness and caramel incense punch. I get a more bitter leathery type of accord and every now and then I do get some sweet caramel. However it is evident it is not the same. I also compared it to the sample I still had and the difference is clear. Please note that I do NOT have actual prove (official statement from the perfumer) that it has been reformulated, however I strongly believe it has been. The best I can probably guess is that they decided to reformulate it because people have been complaining that it was too sweet and too gourmand. While for me that was the exact reason it captivated me the first place and now it has been taken away from me. The masterpiece is gone and what I am left with is an OK dupe. I am clueless about the big difference between the smell of the initial sample and the latest acquired bottle. If there are more individuals who may have also taken notice of this possible reformulation I am really looking forward to hear more about it.

Nose Note #857 Man, what beautiful bottles this house offers... The scent is interesting, it reminds me of a dozen things from the early 00s, but I can't say exactly what, but it creates a beautiful picture in my head - something I rarely get. It smells very green and at the same time very sweet and caramel-like. Definately smells like it has a celery note, I've never come across a celery note before. Caramel and something resembling coffee make the scent overall rather weird, or you can say mildly mysterious. Classy? Maybe. Light incense? Yeah, maybe. Besides it having a 00s vibe I'm also getting a hint of something middle-eastern for some reason. This is a fascinating scent truly. I can't say I'm in love with it, it's not quite my style and a bit too bizzare (without actually being niche-bizzare, it's just in my head I guess). What a nice introduction to the brand! And $140 for 120ml is not bad, but on the pricey side. 7.7/10, really something different! I'm very pleased

Thats a hell of a lot of notes, so many that I kind of get the impression that the perfumer was using the kitchen sink approach. I guess most of those are playing a "supporting" role (to put it nicely..). This just smells like a whole bunch of caramel sweetness with some weird subtle clovey florals and an undeniably confounding celery brightness in the opening that I don't understand. It doesnt smell bad per se, but the notes don't really blend into something more than their respective parts. Its just a whole mess of sweetness...To be honest some of the reviews on here have me stumped, am I really smelling the same scent everyone else is? I don't get anything boozy or deep. Just thin, cloying candy sweetness. I cannot deny that the Quality is there and it performs well, lasting (too) long on me...but..l. Definitely not a safe blind buy, as this is steep juice and most of the feedback I've received has been less than glowing. 4/10

This is so fantastically weird and wonderful!! The celery does really stand out on me in the open; it’s like you are eating “ants on a log” but instead of peanut butter it’s dry and crumbled spice cake! After about 15 minutes the celery starts to meld with the spices and by a half hour it’s become a surprisingly lovely addition to the blend. Completely unisex IMO. I’m so excited to have this!!!

A Light mixture of peach and orange blossom over heavy burnt caramel and vanilla mixture. Different but not everyones favor however the scent itself is impeccable. Dry down is much more accurate and balanced comparing to top note. Scent:4.25/5 Longevity:+8 hrs Projection:moderate Age:+30 Seasons:autumn and winter nights. Occassion:formal and casual

Haha .. This is like a carnival! It opens very sweet with a sweet orange aroma, syrupy, amber, between whiffs of sweet cardamom, coffee and sweet rum, neroli, geraniums, sweet celery, cloves, caramel, sweet licorice, benzoin, lavender, vanilla in a sweet doll style. Full of sweetness, vanillin, sweet sandalwood, sweet opoponax, sweet cedar, sweet musk, sweet ethylmaltol, sweet ambermax .... A mix of sweetness between caramelized, syrupy, creamy, liqueur texture. Ultimately an oriental amber-woody gourmant with a touch of coffee. Sweet. Decadent, elegant, sexy, languid, lustful, magnetic, appetizing and mysterious. Done with skill and a lot of sweetness, too much, my appetite has passed.

Unfortunately, while the scent profile is stunning, its longevity leaves something to be desired. On my skin, it fades far too quickly for such a bold scent, lingering only a few hours before becoming a skin scent. Still, for those moments when impact matters more than endurance, Fusion Sacrée Obscur is a standout. It's a niche gem that deserves to be experienced, even if only briefly

Kitchen sink of aromatic pine, chewy florals, and creamy sweet dessert. It’s all a bit too much, and yet not enough. Such a multitude of discordant notes, that the entire composition is hard to decipher or place.

Smells good? On the scale of 10, First 3, then 6 or 7, back to 5, stable on 4 /10 Smells interesting? 7.9/10 What kind of drug(s) is Bertrand Duchaufour taking when he make this perfume? I want...no, I absolutely don't want any. It must be a lethal dosage of sweet, disorienting, hallucinogenic cocktail, just like this perfume. Major Notes Sour-sweet synth juice, burnt spicy syrup, pungent bitter herbals. Scent Description I won't get into details this time, or it's gonna be longer than my dissertation. The opening is a thousand sweet notes bombing you all at once: syrupy tone with a charred edge (rum?), sour sweet artificial fruit juice, fresh cut cedar and fresh ground pepper, imaginary plastic violet leaf etc. etc. You brain is drowning in this information overload, but the antidote is another kind of poison: a weird bitter herbal tone, which is pungent, twisted, nauseating...you name it, probably a mix of most bitter artemisia and most pungent lavender. After the shit storm dies down, what we got left? 1. sour-sweet synthetic juice, 2. sweet syrupy tone with utterly burnt spice, 3. pungent bitter herbals These three notes braided together in a hyper dimension cyberspace-y way. If a 3-dimension creature try to understand it, their puny brains will turn to hot banana pies. Any breathing space which hasn't been filled by this three head Cerberus, is filled with an ashy charcoal tone, maybe burnt plastic too. Few More Words Anyone familiar with Duchaufour's kaleidoscopic works probably won't be too surprised. He arrange a myriad of notes like juggling one thousand balls at once. You can smell a f*ing olfactory mini universe in Duchaufour's signatures. But this time, I really feel it's ... too much. There is no inner cohesion among each parts, I’m just waiting for a thousand of unrelated pieces fall to ground.

One of the only few fragrances that is repulsive to me. All these notes arnt even blended that well and it all seems a bit chaotic. Caramel, coffee? I hardly get any and even booziness for that matter. This is just an extremely sweet celery gourmand.How it isn't the most voted note is beyond me!! I'm shocked by all the praise this gets, if your looking for a nice gourmand I think there's a TON of better options! Celery or not this still isn't nice. I do encourage people to sample this still because obviously it tickles other peoples fancy just not mine. The only good thing, the bottle. *100% NOT blind buy worthy!*

I like all of these notes, but they do not work well together for me. I don't know how to capture why the sweetness is off-putting in words. Do you know how you can taste the difference between a soda and a diet soda with some sugar-free sweetener? It smells to me what sugar-free sweetener tastes like. I suppose it's mostly the caramel and rum combination, although I like that combination in other scents. It does dry down nicely, but this is one that I'll pass on.

One of my very favorite childhood memories is going to the bazar with my uncle and visiting his pansari friend (herb & spices seller) He used to buy various products from him while chit chatting and sipping tea and a plethora fascinating herbal and spicy notes would hit my nostrils creating a lifetime memory to cherish. I can really feel that Majda Bekkali, of Moroccan descent, wanted to create that same childhood experience of her own visits to the local herb seller when she launched Fusion Sacrée and I must say she did a wonderful job.. This fragrance is not for the faint-hearted beginner as it is not a lay down on the sofa experience but really an exploration of the limits of this art by a risk taker. Initially spray will hit you with a variety of notes and so far I got coffee, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, cardamom, licorice, sandalwood, neroli, ambergris and lavender. After an hour or so when things sattle down you reach the sweet caramel and rum part, just like having a dessert after a sumptuous spicy six course dinner in a Middle Eastern upscale restaurant. If you are really tired of your linear single note routine perfume bottle, I dare you to join me and lets find out how many notes we can count till we finish the bottle 🙂🙂

This would have been possibly one of the best fragrances ever in any company but sadly for one anomaly - the celery. It's hideous and right up at the front of the scent. There's no way hiding from it, at least for me; it opens as a large fat stick of fresh salad celery, coated with a thick dollop of finest liquid sugar. It's totally stomach turning, nose turning. No matter how much of a psychological spin I tried, I just couldn't get away from the vision of a big toffee'd celery popsical. Why oh why did she have to put celery of all things in there? Why not rhubarb even, or just stick with the pear? It's otherwise beautiful. All the sweet, rich stuff you would want in a modern day high-class unisex are here and more. Bunch of warm and classical orientals such as amber, roses and coffee, all in and it's great. I may actually do a personal request for her to simply release a version with the celery taken out. Anything but the celery! I'm not sure to give this a rating even, how do you rate something that could have been top marks totally ruined by one single protruding element? I have to get to working on that email request.

You can definitely detect a green, almost herbal note upon application. It appears to be the infamous celery note, which luckily doesn't last too long (frankly I'm not the biggest fan of the opening) but will be present in the background. It quickly wraps you with an almost honeyed sweetness, which is nicely blended. It also smells slightly boozy and spicy. The overall feel is quite oriental in nature, and the herbal celery note is paired nicely, as weird as it may sound. The scent itself is mature and in typical Duchaufour style each note works harmoniously, never feeling obnoxious. It remains sweet and later stages a bit more balsamic and woody, but the sugary (caramelized) sweetness and blend are great. Unisex, with decent performance, more of a cold weather scent obviously. Could work in casual and formal settings. Fine to wear to the office if applied accordingly. Nice release from Majda Bekkali and should be sampled by fans of orientals in general. 8/10

Fusion Sacree has both a male and female version. I prefer this one out of the two ( if I HAD to choose). it reminds of something I've already smelled before, but until I figure it out..this is my review: I smell rum, a little lavender, a little amber, some resin, and.....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz oh! sorry I fell asleep for a second. Now then, where was I? ...Ok, so I get some citrus, some woodiness..yawn.....lots of of...yawn....vanilla...and Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzz ZZZZZzzzzzzzz Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. the end. in other words: big deal. yet another generic smelling perfume in an expensive bottle...is this a new fad? because if it is, I'm going to jump off a bridge.

I had this back in 2015, and back then I considered it one of the most interesting fragrances that I ever wore. In time, not only with fragrances, tastes are changing, but I still consider this a really good fragrance. It has edgy notes in it, like caramel, celery and rum that really come out of the composition, the structure is not so well blended like in other fragrances, yet this smells very interesting. For me it was a favorite, but I can see why others are trashing it all over youtube or fragrantica...for a fragrance enthusiast, this one must be tested for sure.

Now i remember why did i love this one when i first sniffed it in that shop 2 years ago... because it was amazingly blended and it's not that far from the one labelled with "for women". Although i dislike caramel but in here it is presented amazingly with the help of the rum, coffee, the cloves, the tuberose, and the peaches & apricots. This is dreamy just a plank white drawing board with apricot and peaches prints all over and a cup of coffee with an Arabian spices sat aside. This is Joy... BEAUTIFULLY blended.

Holy celery Batman! I've been moping around wanting to try this one forever, and tnx to my darling friend Oktopusy finally got a huge sample as a present. Can you say disappointed? Can you say toxic celery blast? Once the blasted celery deigned to leave, I was left with drunken caramel loveliness that's to die for. Alas, I died quite enough thank you very much fighting that darn celery off for the first hour and a half. Thankfully off my wishlist.

Okay this is a NICHE perfume, this is exactly what niche is to me. It started off strong almost like a mens cologne but with lots of spices, then it turns very sweet and warm, I can definitely pick up celery, caramel, cardamom, cloves and neroli. I also pick up a strong bubblegum scent, not sure if that’s the flowers or what. It is too much for me, it is too complex for me at this point in my life, I can appreciate it but I wouldn’t wear it.

SWEET CORN Yes, that's what I smell. I couldn't put my finger on it - I was wracking my brain for at least an hour "where have I smelt this before?". Finally it hit me - this smells like sweet corn. Not raw Jersey corn, but maybe the type of corn smell in cornbread, or a baked corn dish. It's not at all overly sweet. Subtle. It has grown on me over the day. I'm not in love - but I'm intrigued enough to keep using the rest of my sample.

I enjoy to say that I love Duchaufour and his products. I thought that I don't like Caramel accordingly I don't like this product but this cologne and it's perfumer surprised me. It is very boozy and so sexy scent that I smelled. It's scent is so rich ,nice and delicious. I love boozy scents and Caramel in this cologne is in fringe and made this product very sexy. 8/10
