Fleur de Rampai

Fleur de Rampai consists of just pandan, jasmine, and patchouli. Upon application, the culinary exquisiteness of pandan is well apparent with its intensely aromatic tones of vanilla. At this stage it is quite gourmand in its approach, I could well imagine this as a fragrant dish of jasmine rice flavored with pandan. The jasmine in this fragrance is never overly indolic or overpowering as the pandan and the patchouli keep it in check. As this fragrance enters the dry down, the earthiness and slight smokiness of the patchouli begins to shine through. It very much smells like a rich cup of jasmine tea using Assam tea leaves. Fazzillah tells me that Fleur de Rampai is a fragrance she created in homage of an aroma that is ever present and lingering in ancient palaces, homes, and kitchens. Malaysians tend to be very superstitious and this aroma is associated with the supposed “caretakers” that haunt the old wooden palaces and homes. Apparently Fazzillah had done an excellent job in recreating this fragrance, as those smelling were taken aback by the mysterious, supernatural imagery it evoked within them. As the description of the fragrance states, this is primarily a women's fragrance as it doesn't really lean unisex. I think smelling this composition on a woman would be amazing. If you are looking for something different, I urge you to try Fleur de Rampai!

Fleur De Rampai scent consist mainly of Pandan, the first thing one can notice upon spraying Fleur De Rampai is Pandan notes, along with fresh green leaves scents, its very green and refreshing. according to the older generations, Fleur De Rampai is very similar to old school type wedding scenario, where both the bride and groom are sprayed with a similar scent. Fleur De Rampai is also a compliment getter, especially amongst the more mature ladies, and a bit less popular amongs men ( from my observation from using this beauty) longetivity easily reach 7+ hours for me projection is superb, room filling type of scent, 3 sprays and you're already filling up the room or car with this Pandan scent sillage is also superb, as it can linger around for few hours in the room, i've few time walked into my room hours after i sprayed Fleur De Rampai and still noticed the scent overall, 10/10 for me, WARNING - not recommended for those who hate Pandan scent

Since Manisan hasn't been added to the registry yet, I'll leave my review for it here, along for my review of Fleur de Rampai: these two are my favourites from the brand :) I have been positively enchanted by Manisan, my favourite from the brand, as a tourist visiting Malaysia; I took Manisan home with me. My first full bottle rose fragrance, after a careful selection. For reference, others I like are Harem Rose, A La Rose MFK, La Fille de Berlin and Rose Ikebana. Manisan is a light fluffy rose gourmand dream. Like a dessert Sweet sugared yet delicate and nuanced rose and vanilla, with a dessert-like pandan note, especially in the opening, but I feel like I still get whispers of it in the drydown. It's either the pandan or coconut milk that the website's description mentions. The rose is slightly similar to Fort & Manle's Harem Rose, but definitely sweetened and less full-bodied just because it isn't trying to be a 'solinote'. I love this one, just as much as my other more well-known perfumes. I felt that I should leave a review to support the brand! Expensive, but quality ingredients, and hits the perfect spot for me. Fleur de Rampai is a wild one to me, and classy; the pandan leaf is a very prominent note, it pairs very well with the jasmine which sweetens the composition, and the patchouli grounds it. Since I'm a tourist, I don't have the scent associations of locals, but this is beautiful.
