Koke'e

I am new to this fragrance, after it was recommended by a lady I met in Hawaii on the island of Kauai. I went to the Malie store there, and the whole place smelled so beautiful. 'Green' perfumes are usually not my thing, but Koke'e has pleasantly surprised me. I bought the spray, and I can still smell the perfume on my wrists at least 4 hours after applying, though by then it's more of an intimate sillage. The scent starts off bright and crisp, definitely smelling of green leaves and white flowers. The jasmine notes seem more prominent than the lily of the valley. Overall, the scent is so fresh and clean, and not at all overpowering. I now understand the hype of this particular Malie perfume!

I love wearing this scent to bed. I usually do the body wash and body lotion. It smells like you just showered in a beautiful lush rainforest. It’s clean, green and fresh, and slightly floral. But the florals are not too overpowering, so it makes it a safe bet for men too. It is just lovely. The perfume lasts a couple hours, but the oil and the butter bun lasts eternally, especially on clothes.

This is such a beautiful hidden gem. I was not familiar with Koke'e before, but I received this as a gift because of my love for jasmine, and it is lovely. Upon first receiving it, I found it very "coconutty," and I was not into fragrance much, so it stayed on my shelf untouched for a long time. However, after exploring fragrances more and discovering my tastes in the past few months, I eventually decided to retry it. If I didn't know better, I could mistake this for a vintage fragrance! It has that same kind of beautiful powdery, soapy base, and it fits perfectly in my growing collection. This is honestly one of the only perfumes I can say that I smell all of the notes in, although the green notes, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, and tonka bean are the most noticeable to me. The "green notes" come out as a sort of dewy, fresh-cut flowers sort of scent, followed by a beautiful white floral and tonka blend. I really love how the coolness of the green blends with the warmth of the tonka and florals. It's so unique and sweet, and it smells very soft and natural to me. And it lasts forever! I applied it around ten hours ago, and it is still going strong. It just smells so alluring and delightful to me. I genuinely can't imagine wearing it and not feeling beautiful, and I think anyone would smell beautiful wearing it. I am under its spell.
