Strawberry

This opens up with the most delicious, fresh opening. It’s the smell of an underripe strawberry plant, leaves and all, and the rain-drenched soil that surrounds it. Fresh, and slightly sweet, as well as ever so slightly dirty. I absolutely LOVE the opening, and find myself craving it as I would a glass of cool water on a hot summer day. Unfortunately after a couple hours, those beautiful top notes die down and you're left with a more musk/cedar drydown, which leans a tad on the masculine side. It also doesn't last much longer than a few hours on my skin. Overall I still think this is a great scent for hot summer days, or places you don't want to smell overpowering (such as the office). It would work well for either man or woman. I purchased a bottle and plan on keeping it as it's so different than anything else in my collection. My boyfriend also enjoys it a lot on me. Side note: Someone below mentioned that it smells like Marc Jacobs “Daisy” and I can definitely see a resemblance in the opening (both have strawberry as a note), although this one is *much* less sweet and cloying. Personally, I find the dry down reminds me immensely of Lanvin’s Eclat D’Arpège.

The green fragrance that everyone should try!!! Last time i tried it was in London it was so freaking good, that note of strawberries is so real in fact i kept and kept on smelling my hand for hours haha, it's that amazing but unfortunately it's not a safe buy, not everyone likes strawberries... i remember as kids we used to buy those kid cheap fragrances that actually smelled like strawberries and this fragrance evoked these memories, such a good fragrance. On top of that: when first sprayed you don't feel the strawberry right away instead you feel as if you are walking in the forest surrounded by fruits and strawberries then the strawberry kicks in hard along with some berries and other forest fruits, it gives out forest vibes. The dry down is woody is very woody which is good you can definitely feel the strawberry like it doesn't come out from your skin. The longevity on skin was 6-7 hours, this fragrance is perfect for spring no idea about summer. Also i feel like this fragrance does not deserve a 3.69 rating score. The best strawberry fragrance i have ever tried and one of the best green fragrances that deserve a top 10 spot. Overall: 10/10.

A group of BARBIE friends at a "you pick" Strawberry field. NOT a jammy or ripe strawberry. It's a FIELD of strawberries, fresh, that when picked you get what is, THIS perfume. REALLY! It's sweet but in the most sophisticated way. One of my favorite strawberry scents, a cold weather favorite of mine. It also gives NEW Barbie glossy PLASTIC vibes. I think it's beautiful. Perfect for going out wine tasting, Christmas parties, DATE nights, out for some drinks, a NIGHT or day COLD weather perfume. The opening is fresh Strawberries and Barbie. All dolled up wearing expensive lipstick, walking around with cash in their hands because they're getting ready to pay. The dry down is so creamy, probably saving some for a strawberry MILK bath at night. With the fireplace on because you have a rich DADDY that lives out in the country (no neighbors for miles) I love it. Just picked strawberries, new Barbie, CASH, lipstick, milk & a cozy fireplace. Chefs kiss. Baby sister to Mojave Ghost. The most realistic strawberry perfume EVER. Fresh, earthy and creamy. Not warm, but does turn cozy. BISOUS

Don’t think about it, just try it Planning to make this my staple for the summer. This isn’t a linear body mist type of scent. The strawberry is there, but not the most prominent note throughout the fragrance. It’s bright, uplifting, almost acidic, but sweet in the opening thanks to the strawberry and bergamot. The mid is more like fresh cut strawberries with a sweet cream. It sounds super sweet but it’s really not. Just a creamy (pause) strawberry accord that’s well balanced and pleasant. The dry down is woodsy with the most pleasant and clean musk not I’ve ever come across. Overall this scent is sophisticated, layered, yet easy to pair with other freshies if you’re into layering scents. Both my girlfriend and I have worn it with ease. I’ve paired this a few times with Moss by Commodity, while she’s paired it with both Cream and Bergamot by Philosophy. I’ve reviewed this as well as Dark Rum on my channel. Definitely a nice break from all the Creed and Dior Sauvage clones lately.

So, I love this. This is a surprise to me, as I generally hate fruity scents, and dislike tooth achingly sweet scents. Most fragrances that have strawberry in them are far too sweet for me. Not this. I smell the strawberry loud and clear, and find it sweet but not too sweet. I also find it very feminine, and I have to agree with the "doll head" comment made by someone else here. Or, a strawberry scented eraser, mixed with some grass. But, I love it! It's nostalgic for me, not too sweet, fresh, and lovely. Perfect daytime summer scent to run errands. I do wish it lasted longer on skin, although it lasts for 8+ hours on clothes for me. I got a sample, went through it, and got a full bottle. This is my childhood in a fragrance and such a happy pick me up.

This is a bit reminiscent of Marc Jacobs Daisy and even Glossier You to my nose, but distant cousins. I find it more appealing, more unique, more unisex. There is a bright effervescence to it. The bergamot and pink pepper make it juicy, but the greenery, cedar and oak moss make it earthy and interesting. I can’t say I “smell milk”, but I do sense a sort of milky texture in it when I get a deep huff. I wonder if it’s the orris? I saw an interview with one of the perfumers and he said this is meant to smell like a fresh strawberry in your garden - the dirt, stem, leaves, berry, rain and sun. The idea alone sold me 😅

this scent is so musky yet so tart and juicy- the perfect spring/summer layering frag that is so inoffensive and soft and comforting that it can really be worn for any occasion! it reminds me of strawberry nerds combined with the most creamy orris and linen. the pink pepper makes it a bit reminiscent of glossier you, but it definitely is quite a bit more sweet and fresh- the oakmoss gives it a bit of a green facet too. such a gem, can't wait to layer this with liis studied or arizona bloom <3 EDIT - Don't let this oil sit for too long otherwise it starts to go bad and smell a bit sour (in a bad way...)

It’s my favorite perfume for the transition to spring, when the first strawberries start appearing at the market. I’ve already made that mental connection, so this perfume is pure joy to me. I have to say that I am not very into gourmands scents. This is the antithesis of mainstream, sugary gourmands. It captures a wild strawberry: green, slightly tart. The crisp bergamota and pink pepper top notes seamlessly transition into a smooth, clean heart of jasmine and a very nice milky texture, resting on an earthy bed of cedar and moss. It feels refreshing but not cold. Again, it smells like spring!

Not the strawberry we’re imagining or idealizing, but the reality of the humble and fresh strawberry, red, plump, and fresh from bright green vines glittered with fresh blossoms that have yet to fruit. It’s juicy and tart and green but still sweet and not cloyingly so. It’s a great everyday fragrance and I’ll never get sick of it. It’s so beautiful it’s much different from what I imagined but just as wonderful. I’m shocked and honestly impressed. Malin+Goetz really do put their soul into each scent. They never disappoint.

Was recently gifted a roller of this fragrance, and I believe I've been converted to Malin + Goetz for life. The strawberry note is astonishingly photorealistic, evoking the earthy freshness of just-picked strawberries from a garden. On my skin, it also reveals a delightful woody undertone, reminiscent of green wood. This scent is remarkably versatile and perfect for both men and women. Notably, for a roller, it boasts impressive sillage, but after about two hours, it settles into a creamy and sweet skin scent.

This is what I have wanted every strawberry perfume to smell like. It’s not dessert-y or syrupy or lactonic in the slightest, nor does it smell synthetic like chapstick. This is a strawberry picked off the bush in the garden and plucked in your mouth the morning after a rain storm. It’s dewy and green but still distinctively strawberry. Wearing it makes me feel like a Beatrix Potter bunny rabbit.

This fragrance grew on me in the last few months since I’ve had it. It’s actually so pretty it’s all i want to wear lately. I can’t really smell strawberries in it but more like dewy strawberries leaves , very aquatic and natural smelling. Smells like morning dew and i find it quite similar to mojave ghost. Performance on me is great and it lingers on clothes for days.

This exceeded my expectations. So refreshing, soft and powdery- great for bedtime as well as daytime. It is more of a lighter fragrance, but it does project and I have received compliments on it which surprised me because I could no longer smell it. It really is lovely and very underrated. Try an all day wear and check it out. I think this shines in the heat.

This doesn’t smell as expected, I’m not getting much strawberry. It’s very lightweight & fresh not over powering at all but to me it’s more of a masculine fragrance, reminds me of Moschino Toy Boy & Dior Fahrenheit, not your typical fruity floral this is a more complex herbal palma violet and green strawberry leaf fragrance.

I like it! This is a very light, milky strawberry perfume with beautiful green notes. I do enjoy the berries a lot. They are soft, natural, slightly herbal. The perfume is not intense at all. It is very direct, straightforward and light. This is a perfect unisex perfume!

This is so lovely! I’d forgotten about it for a yr or so ,,and dug it out of the cupboard and sprayed and wow,,,I’ve missed it! Fresh,green slightly sweet,,,just perfect. A perfumed strawberry is how I’d describe it it.🥰 I have no problem with longevity👍🏼

Incredibly fresh and innocent. The strawberry notes are not at all synthetic or childish sickly sweet. Very green, reminds me of walking through a garden. Impressive longevity for a rollerball. Wore it on my wedding day.

This is one of the best perfumes I’ve ever smelled, realistic fresh strawberry with the leafs and all, feminine, clean, fresh, fruity. BUT it does not last 😭😭😭 such a shame

A groundbreaking powdery fragrance. Smells like strawberry, as one may assume, but the perfume stays powdery all along. Doesn't last long, however.

I don’t usually like strawberry scents but I was drawn to the display at Sephora that said it was a “deconstructed” strawberry. I really enjoyed the dry-down after using the tester on my wrist so bought a full bottle. It opens with a fresh burst of strawberry, but it’s the strawberry popsicle variety of strawberry. It’s not sickly or cloyingly sweet, though, and has just the right amount of sweetness to uplift the mood. For me the strawberry scent lingers for its entire lifespan, while the greenness of the opening dies down and jasmine/musky dry-down appears. The dry-down isn’t overly musky or woody though, because the strawberry scent is still there. It projects moderately (maybe a foot around me) for 2-3 hours and becomes a skin scent that lasts a couple more hours. I don’t like loud scents so it’s the perfect amount of sillage for my taste, safe for work, public transit, etc. It has the right mix of greenness, strawberry, little bit of floral notes, and musk that I can’t stop smelling my wrist throughout the day. I’m actually bummed on days when I’m trying out other scents that I can’t smell this one. It took me a couple tries even after the tester to really get into it but I’m glad I took the plunge and bought a full-size.

This is a little baby strawberry, nestled comfortably in the green vines and leaves after the rain, surrounded by mature cedar and tall grasses. It's a soft freshness, not an overwhelming saccharine sweetness. The grounding woods and orris with that touch of oakmoss create a warmly tart presence that's not sour or damp. Instead, it resonates as an arid breeze, still fresh and vibrant. Somehow, this has both a warm and cool disposition. And that pop of pink pepper is so playful. I think the accords listed are somewhat misleading, as fruit and sweet are tied to the presence of strawberry. Because this is balanced so beautifully with woodland greens, cedar and just a hint of jasmine, this is anything but overly sweet. So if you're opposed to sweet or even fruity fragrances, don't let that deter you. I don't get any milk or lactonic notes, just a gentle and quiet creaminess. But it never veers into milkshake territory. I'm amazed I can wear this, given the oakmoss and my skin's tendency to accentuate it so strongly. But here we are. A beautifully balanced fresh and woody green berry that dries to a gentle warm woods. Quiet throughout its wear, and that's what I prefer.

I am in love with this. I use the oil version and it’s creamier than the more green spray version. I’d say it’s almost perfect for me, it’s just missing something more masculine or cologne like. Something that lifts it up. Maybe I wish there was some ambroxan or one of those molecules in the mix. It’s so good though, it’s not very fruity to me at all. It’s juicy, but not that sweet. It’s green but not in a way that makes your nose tingle. It’s got the pink pepper that gives it light and a bit of edge. It’s got the lactonic notes and the jasmin to give it heart and a slight warmth. It has a musky, sort of powdery orris base to sit on. I love it, like I said. The oil lasts alright, not the best, but with scents like this you can’t expect 9 hours of wear from them, or you’d have to heavy down the smell. I do still think there’s just something missing in it for me! I wish i could figure it out. It’s 100% a skin scent and fits into the category of Glossier You I’d say. definitely will appeal to people who don’t usually like perfume.

i got this fragrance a while ago and up until recently, i thought i disliked it. i tried it again today and i feel as though it smells entirely different than the first time i tried it. the reason i didn't reach for it was because i kept smelling a faint note that was almost like parsley? this time around, i gave it a real chance and actually like it a decent amount. like many reviews say, its definitely not a typical, sweet, candy-like strawberry. its a real strawberry scent, as if you were to pick one out of a patch. theres a soft sweetness that does linger on me, but it is mostly overpowered by the green notes. if you're looking for a sweet strawberry scent, this is definitely not the one. if you have this already and want it to lean a little more on the sweet side, you could get a vanilla scented oil and layer this over it!! i accidentally applied this after forgetting i had the vanilla scent on my wrist and it ended up being the perfect mix 8/10

maybe it's how it sits on my skin, but i don't get very much strawberry. on me it's VERY green, with some of the bergamot and the oakmossy finish. i think the strawberry is being used to just sweeten it a bit and keep it from leaning too masculine and keeping it in that unisex range. that being said, i love it as a daily fragrance, but i wear it as a green fragrance and not a fruity one. my best description would be if you took the whole strawberry plant out, (leaves, roots, berries, flowers, and all) and smelled that, this smells like how that would. so if you're looking for a very fruity strawberry, my answer is no. you won't like this. but if you are looking for the whole strawberry plant, something refreshing, and you don't mind having to reapply once or twice, i think you'll enjoy this.

Another very unique fragrance from Malin Goetz . I saw an interview about this and they said that they didn't use any strawberry . They just found the combo that gave out strawberry notes . Which makes sense when you smell it . You get the strawberry notes with the bergamot then that pink pepper punch that keeps this from getting too sweet and feminine. I must say that the notes on here for this fragrance are very spot on . The pink pepper mid green notes and jasmine really keep this fragrance alive throughout the day . It is definitely not for everyone but it is a very unique scent that is very well balanced with fruit, spice and earthy notes . Scent - 8.0 Complexity - 8.5 Quality - 8.0 Performance -7.5 Bottle- 3.0 ( feels cheap, cheap cap, ok atomizer)

I am so underwhelmed. I was prepared for the fact this was not a typical fruity scent but rather a wee green number due to a whole plant approach. I am utterly deflated by the performance. After a good spray I struggled to smell ANYTHING! I will admit that I did become aware of a pleasant scent after about an hour. I so desperately want to love this so I am trying real hard to find positives. My only hope is that I tested this on a baltic day in early winter in Scotland. So...in the spirit of desperation, I am going to put away and retry when the sun and the warmth return. Maybe then I will find the love I crave for this fragrance. Edit: I retested this in Summer and it was lovely! Fresh, green, fruity - just perfect for a hot day! I am delighted!!!

Finally got to spray this on my arm at Nordstrom's. I love it! It's a pleasant, musky and grassy strawberry that really redefines what strawberry smells like. To me, it's like the whole strawberry plant shebang. You get the creamy, sweet strawberry flesh peaking out of tender green leaves. It's fresh and green while also being a cozy skin scent. The longevity isn't great, but I think that makes it a very wearable fragrance for almost all seasons. I sprayed it on my wrist on a hot summer's day and it wasn't cloying at all. This was pretty unbelievable to me, as I'm all too familiar with syrupy, jammy strawberry scents that lean juvenile. This is a lovely scent, and IMO, more interesting than Hilde Soliani's Fragola Salata.

trying out the oil roller, for some reason i was surprised at the sweetness because of all i've read about the musky and green notes; at the end of the day, this is a sweet fruity bordering on floral scent. i do really like it though and it feels well-balanced. i prefer "rounder" sweet scents and tend to go for gourmands or juicier fruity scents that stay away from citrus and florals, but there is something about this that keeps it from feeling aggressively sweet. there's something almost biscuit-y that reminds me of a strawberry muffin, and the greenness makes me think of a picnic. it doesn't feel like me necessarily, but it feels like the person i want to be on a sunny spring day. fresh, fun, lively, cute.

This perfume and Sebastian’s review of this was the reason I have decided to order the discovery set from Malin+Goetz. Turns out that I don’t see the hype with Strawberry, nut I’ve discovered a new love from this brand: Leather!! Strawberry is a green, fresh, mossy, earthy, spicy, sweet strawberry dominant perfume, but I don’t love it. It’s ok, doesn’t not smell like a plasticky strawberry, but it’s not something that I enjoy wearing often during summer season. It’s a fairly light scent, like all Malin+Goetz scents seem to be, and going towards feminine side. It’s an interesting combination of notes that’s having strawberry in the centre, but it’s not my jam. Overpriced and very light!

I love strawberry so I was very excited to try this. Many times, strawberry in fragrance is overly artificial and sickly sweet. I was excited to find a more natural and lighter strawberry fragrance. Unfortunately, when I spray it on my skin, I don't really get much strawberry. It's there for a microsecond and immediately disappears. But that doesn't mean it's bad. It has a light and airy garden quality that makes it fantastic for warmer weather. Delicate green and a hint of bergamot. It's sits close to the skin and reviews seem to vary a lot. As always, it comes down to skin chemistry. 6/10

Starts sweet-tart, sour really, but quickly settles into a very calm and quiet blend. Clean, transparent woods with a constant complement of subtle, natural sweetness and crisp green notes. Eddie Buliqi called it fruit made "lonely and meditative" and I agree. I always get a sense of almost austere cleanliness and simplicity from the brand's presentation. This fragrance beautifully matches my usual woods-green-natural-fruit scent profile while filling a gap in my collection. It's the skin scent I never thought I'd find.

This was an unexpected hit for me. The strawberry is very green initially upon first application but it changes to a fruity baby doll makeup scent. In the end you’re left with a musky powdery almost skin scent. I suspect it’s the Orris note that gives that powdery drydown. I normally don’t enjoy powder notes but this doesn’t smell mature or heavy. This is an easy everyday wear. I wish the opening strawberry note lasted throughout the wear of this fragrance. Otherwise it would be a 10/10.

Like the review states below ...a very humble and photorealistic strawberry scent! It's not a candy, it's not a juice or a gourmand but it's a green, tart and dewy strawberry. It's a darling scent. However, on my skin it becomes literally undetectable after an hour so I can't really say I'm picking up on any milk or oak moss in the dry down. If I press my nose to my skin I get an adorable little musky sweetness that remains plump and playful... Shame about the longevity.

i want to love this one so bad, but both the sillage and longevity are poor enough that there’s not much to love. there’s a burst of pink pepper and rainy garden when first spraying it, a few minutes of gloriously perfect green strawberries, and then i have to sniff my wrist to get even the faintest hint of it. if it lasted on skin it’d very well be my summer go-to with how evocative and fresh it is, but i’m not interested in reapplying every half an hour.

I tried this fully expecting to hate it. I was expecting synthetic strawberry screech but it's really not bad. More like a strawberry patch (is that a thing?) or strawberry bush, versus a sweet strawberry fruit. Beyond that, I get iris, vetiver and woods. It's not super complex but not bad. Unfortunately, it's extremely short lived and starts leaving my skin after 30-40 minutes, and it's completely gone in about an hour. Scent 6.6/10 Performance 1/10

An easy wearing strawberry scent, remarkable in that it doesn’t smell like it was made in a lab. Along with the strawberry note, I’m picking up the green texture as well as a clean, white musk. I thought I was going to hate this scent but this is well done, so I like it. I prefer to eat strawberries over wearing them, so this won’t be a purchase for me. I can see this working for a lot of people though.

Most natural strawberry I’ve ever smelled. Think of fresh strawberries with the stem still attached. Add in a lime rind for those who’ve never smelled bergamot and that’s the opening. I definitely pick up the pink pepper and green notes. I don’t get a lactonic vibe. As it dries down I get the orris, cedar, and musk. I’ll definitely be wearing this in the spring and try it out in the summer.

The strawberry in this is very natural, not in the least confectionery or bubble-bath-esque but it is just a tad under-ripe and needs a little something to go with it. I am wearing it layered with Paul Smith's Rose (while I can still get it - damn you gods of discontinuity!) which provides exactly the right kind of sweetness to bring out both the key notes of the Malin and Goetz fragrance.

i tried this from the discovery set and oddly enough, it smells JUST like marc jacobs daisy to me. i would like to own a full size because i feel like it's a good scent to spray after a shower or when you're out & about on a warm day. i would say it doesn't have a strong presence and definitely is not worth paying retail price for it. try to get your hand on a sample/decant first.

I love this perfume- it's not usual. It's simple on a first sniff, but very well made, really very well. It's bright, crystal-ish, green-ish with a hint of something that rounds up the sound (milk?). I like to spray it on clothing 5-7 times when my mood is bright and joyful. Good think if you love something like Green Tea E.A., but much more niche.

I was expecting a glossier you + strawberry fragrance but to my surprise, it's straight jasmine! The more it dries down the more strawberry I get, which is pretty unusual. Still, I would say this is a fresh laundry scent definitely not fruity by any means. Longevity is sub-par but it is a beautiful and uplifting fragrance.

reminded me of an abercrombie store in a GOOD way. i really like this but not what i expected at all. i’ve been wanting to smell for a while and i thought it would be a nice green strawberry but that note is hidden by the base notes (if it’s truly there). i do love it though, just glad i sampled first haha

like with most malin + goetz fragrances, i say, GET THE OIL!!! this is the most gorgeous skin scent. the florals give it an almost milky yet fresh quality. the pink pepper at the opening gives the strawberry just enough sharpness. not too sweet but still very yummy. just wish the journey was a bit longer

Playful, fruity and juvenile with the slightest hint of some sophisticated, high-class 'lounge'. I can faintly smell Dylan Purple by Versace in the background. Kind of Victoria's Secret body spray -esque but not too cheap or offensively 'defined'.

First impression is fresh, not overly sweet strawberry with a subtle green note. I'm rating the perfume oil rollie. Likeable, but unsure of sillage and longevity, as it seemed to fade quickly on my skin. Will test it a few more times.
