Cotton Abyed

I hated Cotton Malaki but this one’s more tolerable. I don’t think I like plum notes. For me it’s sweet and headache inducing screechiness, but way more tolerable with this than Malaki. Maybe with maceration I’ll like it better. The other notes smell divine, but that plum keeps irritating my nose. This one isn’t bad, though. I’ll give it a try for some time before I make my final decision Ok update!: It’s about 2 weeks later and I did a couple of sprays ,just playing in my collection, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the screechy note was minimal and only lasted a second while this dried down into something *very* similar to the Wedding Silk Santal/Khair Felicity, but I wouldn’t say a “dupe”.....maybe cousins. I also already had some Tahara Vanilla on the same wrist and they go well together. I actually love this and it’s insane how these Arabian perfume houses will have you ready to throw out money spent if you don’t let them sit for a while, first! Now I’m wondering if I should go get the Malaki out of my declutter/giveaway box and see if my mind changed about that! Update 2: So it’s interesting that there are comparisons to Angham which I didn’t like but didn’t dislike. I’m letting my Angham stew for a couple of weeks before I take it out again. When everything is good and settled , I’m going to compare Khair Felicity , Angham, Wedding Silk Santal, and Cotton Abyed. To me, Khair was the closest dupe to the Kayali, Angham smelled like something completely different( but maybe like...a 3rd cousin) and Cotton Abyed smelled like a totally different perfume. I love them all except for Angham, so I can’t wait to see what my Angham will smell like once it matures/macerates. Update 3( as of May 7th): I sprayed Angham on one wrist and Cotton Abyed on the other and there are similarities. They smell very similar except Angham’s ginger note is way spicier and it has less sweetness, but I can now see the comparison. Final Update( Aug 12): I love this so much that I bought a second bottle. I love Angham, too, but they’re not dupes for each other but they do layer well together.

Pleasantly surprised by this fragrance. To me it was strong right when I purchased it I know a lot of other reviewers say they couldn't smell anything but I think it probably needs to macerate then.. I've only tried mod vanilla at the store so I can't directly compare it.. it has similarities to Silk santal but not a dupe as I don't love silk santal it's too musky to me .. but this is sweeter and airier and less musky thought the musk is still present. There was something else it did remind me of and that is lattafa ana Abiyedh rouge.. which I don't like because it has a Band-Aid smell to me, but this one does not, but it still has that same airy sweetness. I don't know which aromachemical gives that off ethyl maltol maybe? I also smell it on Greenwich village and br540 and cloud etc.. Either way I think this is a really good fragrance especially for the money.. it's not super unique as I'm sure many people have smelled something similar as I have. But what it does it does really well!

this perfume is perfect. i got it cause i saw it smelt similar to mod vanilla by ariana grande, normally i’m pretty skeptical when people say that but i would say this is at least 95% the same. there’s a very very very slight difference but if i smelt this on someone else, i would 100% think it was mod vanilla. i’ve seen people compare it to khair felicity and personally, i hate felicity so i was very happy to find out they don’t smell alike. i think if you like mod vanilla i would definitely get this instead, it’s a lot better value and it lasts way longer!

Very nice fragrance and a safe blind buy. Not heavy or overpowering at all, saying that, I wish it was a little stronger as it isn’t very noticeable on the skin after about half an hour or so. The bottle - just, why? The silly stuck on fluffy thing and white stuck-on panel on the back of the bottle - looks like a 7 year old has done it as part of a craft project at school. It’s a good job the ugly bottles that the Middle Eastern fragrance companies use don’t put us off buying the perfumes because they wouldn’t sell that many to the western market I’d bet!

Just got a well aged decant of this and I had to review it immediately. Creamy, soft, so smooth and approachable. This is incredible. I recently bought a full bottle of Her Confession from Lattafa, which is in the same genre of luxurious body lotion fragrances. Very well blended, hard to pinpoint notes but it is a truly gorgeous scent. Slight sweetness, the plum is not overbearing fruity at all, I get mostly musky softness, a hint of creamy coconut, sweet praline, velvety orris and vanilla of course. Divine!!!

At first I got Cloud DNA but it's settled after a few weeks. Very pretty! Feminine, clean, fruity, musky opening. Settles into a sweet vanilla. Not gourmand. Based on notes/scent, it's a dupe for Ari Mod, NOT SILK SANTAL. All day longevity on clothes and skin, intimate-medium projection. I'd categorize this with: Mod Vanilla Silk Santal / Khair Felicity Dama Bianca / Junoon Noir Goddess / Angham Empire Victor If you like those, you should try this. It goes on sale for around $20 on Tiktok.

I just gotten this fragrance from Paris Corner and this perfume smells ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. It smells like a intermingle of, Kayali Wedding Silk Santal 36 with Angham by Lattafa or the OG Khamrah, with a hint of MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 DNA. I do have these fragrances in my collection, EXCEPT, Ariana Grande MOD Vanilla. I do not know how it truly smells, but may one day purchase it. Anyways, it's sweet and creamy, type of fragrance that you can wear in all seasons.

If you get this cheap, then it's a steal. It is similar to the Mod Vanilla, pretty much. Lasting power is weaker, so you have to overspray it. Beautiful vanilla with plum and musk, very comforting, cozy, girly. Love it and the bottle doesn't look or feel cheap to me, I actually like the back and the fluffy pompom on the front. Recommend.

This is my favorite vanilla! I'd describe it as a sweet, powdery cashmere vanilla. Pairs well with all lotions and lasts about 9-10 hours on me but it's very low on sillage so I use it for bed. I think it's perfectly balanced and sweet. This smells like a $100+ perfume but I got it for 25 back when it was on Amazon.

This is a dupe for the wedding silk santal when we thought it was not coming back. This fragrance is stronger than the OG and last much longer! Musk, vanilla forward. Love this fragrance!!

Mod Vanilla + The Wedding + Cloud. It's light and airy, Vanilla-y, fruity, and has a little of the baccarat DNA. Last a long time. I like it but it's not something that smells original.

Blind bought this and after one spray bought a second bottle. It is fantastic! I haven’t smelled mod but it reminds me of mind games queening, which is a current favorite scent.

My unproblematic queen. Such an easy reach and unlikely to be offensive to anyone in my opinion. Very similar to Mod Vanilla and better sillage/longevity.

I blind bought this perfume, and I hit the jackpot! It smells so good on my skin, it's very comforting cozy scent that's good for day and night!

Tried a sample and fell in love, needed a full bottle right away. Definitely comforting and reminds me of being cozy in a sweater with hot tea.

This is a very nice, warm vanilla to my nose. It's very pleasant and non-offensive. It can be worn on its own or layered easily.

This is a daydream in a bottle. it’s juicy, airy, soft, sweet, feminine and an easy reach. Great for any occasion, any season.

So fresh & clean! There's this sparkling, effervescent quality to it. I'm not getting a lot of sweetness like others seem to.

My favourite perfume atm! sweet, elegant and just such a beautiful, clean vanilla. Get heaps of compliments when i wear it
