Wild Rose Oud

Smells really niche when i first sprayed, balsamic medicinal green rose. I like challenging perfumes. My first impression in the oud here is similar to bond no. 9 new york signature scent(that one has a absolutely harsh drydown) but this one has detectable citrus patchouli and white florals. I know the smell of oud and different forms of it. This is the same line a soapy citrus rose as lyric man the sweetness comes out natural(this is more wearable than lyric man but lyric man wins in performance). But this one has detectable oud in the drydown. Really different from clean rose category. This is an elegant spicy citrusy rose. This is like bond no. 9 signature scent and aqua universalis forte type of jasmine,musk and citrus had a baby. Looking at the notes. Yep they are like the best of those two then morphed into this perfume I love those perfumes but they develop quite harsh this is like the refined version of those two. Manceras Wild collection has a detectable potent musk I think that is why it's called wild. If you don't know what white musk smells. White musk smells soapy and clean with a bit of floral nuance and something of a bite to it. It is used in detergents and fabric softeners as well as in perfumes. Quite pungent and aldehydic it also has that synthetic vibe. So this is about a clean rose. That's why everyone says it smells like garden. The sillage of this one would definitely be a clean(musk, bergamot and lemon), semi sweet(touch of vanilla), elegant(patchouli) and slight spicy woody(amber). You can pull this off day or night with a nice crisp white polo and trousers. Smells elegant without being heavy and intrusive. Slightly sweet rose+oud combo cleaned with musc. This is not a perfume that you should wear at high heat because the musk note is quite overpowering. I tested this at cold night and wow! The rose, the musk and the aoud is naturally sweet and balanced. This smells like a velvety rose rather than a dark rose. The sillage is average and is not obnoxious the longevity is stellar.

I have wild rose aoud on one arm and black aoud on the other. Below is a comparison. Wild rose aoud is a milder version and more office friendly. It has a bit of freshness at the beginning which black aoud doesn't. Additionally, wild rose aoud has a mild green note (patchouli) that gives an impression of the rose and it's stem. The rest of the notes in the pyramid are not that prominent, except probably for a hint of jasmine and vanilla. On the other hand, black aoud is a powerhouse and has been my standard for "western" rose oud combo perfumes. It is very thick and projects like mad. It is more sexy in my opinion and really shines after 1-2 hours. Wild rose aoud is really nice if you don't have many rose aoud perfumes. It can be worn easily and doesn't scream attention. Some might disagree but it leans feminine. The BEST rose oud combo in my collection remains the one and only "Oud" from Dar Al Teeb (from Kuwait). It smells ultra niche and the oil concentration can be seen and smelt for ever.

Yet another beauty from Mancera. As Shanester stated, there's an Intense Cafe vibe to this scent, however, it's much smoother and more polished. The aoud is actually quite soft and not at all overpowering. It kinda makes me think this is what Cleopatra's boudoir would smell like if she was living in the 21st Century. Oh, and the bottle is phenomenally beautiful in the flesh.

Very interesting scent. Quite a strong perfume with a sharp rose note at the beginning but it’s softened by the woody undertone followed by some fresh green notes. I really like this fragrance but I wouldn’t consider it a “safe blind buy” because of how powerful it is.

Compared to Black aoud from Montale and Gold Rose Oudh from Tiziana Terenzi, this one is more fresh, citrussy, and less dark than both. If you find any of the other 2 too strong then try this one, its lighter and fresher. Very good projection and lasting power.

This was a blind buy based on reviews and I love it, it’s a beautiful rose with just the right amount of oud not too strong, on my skin it’s more about the roses. Unless you hate roses don’t think you can go far wrong with this.

I really enjoy this one, very nice, soothing, compliments at work, night time ..long lasting as usual ! I don't find anything that is "synthetic" about this fragrance.....overall one of the best Florals out there.

This is my first full bottle of Mancera, a blind buy because I could not find any samples/decants of it, the reviews looked promising, and I liked the bottle so much that I thought 'Now what could possibly go wrong?' ;D Oh, well... The moment I first sprayed it felt harsh and nothing close to what I ever imagined. 'Is this what I really purchased!?', I asked myself, then looked at the beautiful bottle, which I was comfortably holding, and decided that it is not bad and I will get to like it. The golden magnetic cap and cute golden pouch gave me quite a luxury feeling, so I generously sprayed myself and vanished into the night (to the supermarket). An hour later the scent became way more pleasant, I sprayed myself again and some time after went to bed. The next morning I could still feel it, rather weakly, though. A couple of days later I occasionally sniffed the cap and oh wow I got Eau d'Eden!! I don't know how, I think it's the rose, but it was the turning point for me. I am very happy with my purchase now =] Don't get me wrong, if I knew how it smelled, I would have probably gone with something else. Anyway, I like how it turned out - with each sniff I get something different, yet I think it is mainly the rose, nothing sweet. Interesting parfume, the rose dominates the most. It’s long lasting... it’s a strong , but not overemphasized.I love it and I have it...if you love rose in parfume this is scent for you definitely.

This is a balsamic "rose with green stems" scent. It is rosey but faint. It is just ok, nothing special or head turning. Performance also somehow is very shy for a mancera, maybe that's because of the musk in it. Its not a full bottle worthy for me. Very similar to Miss Charming by Juliette has a Gun. Will Pass on it.

A heavy, musky, borderline stifling old lady rose with a hint of jasmine. No oud. No citrus. No amber. No thank you. Five hours later, the matronly rose has calmed down and turned jammy, allowing me to smell the oud. It’s quite pleasant now, but five hours is a long time to wait.

A very fresh greenish rose on a that quite screechy base which is commonly found in oud fragrances. Wanted to love this because of the pretty bottle but oh well...

a terrible awful synthetic strong rose; I collect rose frags. This is not one of the good ones. Ugh. Almost a sweet cola note. Not jammy. Not green. Just weird and synthetic and fake.

I’m going to have to say this is a pass for me, it doesn’t agree with my skin. All I get is a rose scented bar of soap. Not good and not for men.

Mancera Wild Rose Aoud is a very misleading name. There is nothing oud'ish about this one. Its Rose, very Feminine rose to the extreme. I ordered from FragranceNet.com which was easy to place an order... Though, as for the product Wild Rose Aoud its a woman's fragrance though and through. Nothing masculine about this at all. The quality is very good. Nothing synthetic about this juice, but once again for any Guys' out there contemplating on purchasing this scent. You have been briefed. If you want an Amazing Mancera, go for Mancera Gold Intensitive Aoud. Very middle eastern, very clean, very welcoming, a complement getter and can be worn in any season. Its masculine but a woman could easily pull it off. Final Thoughts - Mancera Wild Rose Aoud is very feminine/girly -While- Mancera Gold Intensitive Aoud is superb.

I have two signature scents. One is Chloe New and the other Stella Rose Absolute Intense. Since the SRA is no longer being produced, I have had to pay INSANE prices to continue to own it (though ebay). I started a mission to find a true dupe for Stella Roses Ab., and I FOUND IT IN THIS!!!! I am SO happy. This is so great that I do believe I am going to buy backups of this before they decide to discontinue this one too. I heard that Deep Roses is even better, but can't find that for sale at any store. Assuming that one is out. Anyway, this is what I have been searching for, almost a year! Could not be happier. It is a TRUE dupe for Stella Rose Absolute in every way. This one may be a bit better bc of the awesome projection and longevity.

This is another rose/oud combo that smells good but doesn't bring anything new to the table. The fragrance itself is linear and quite boring. Don't get me wrong, this is a sensual rose fragrance for a confident woman, but personally as a man, I didn't enjoy it on me. The rose dominates the composition and smells quite natural and has a lipsticky, sweet tinge. 4/10

If anyone in the UK is interested in buying a full large bottle only used once approx 4 sprays... I want to sell this fragrance... Its definitely too feminine for me... Comes with original box and pouch... Please message me... Definitely not a blind buy unless you like sweet feminine rose and oud. UK only please....due to postage rules
