The Mandariners for Him

This thing is Ylang Ylang EO with supporting notes. Starts with sweet main orange EO , goes 10min after into strong Ylang and it stays there paired with a very clean and watery patchouli and sandalwood frame. Before buying I already wondered where's moss herbs leather etc. that are going to make this a masculine scent. And it is not, this is totally unisex. It's related to Lacoste Blanc EDT in a way, you have the Ylang EO heart, trade the grapefruit opening for mandarin and orange EO, and trade the acidic vetiver base for a sweeter patchouli and sandalwood. I paid 18€ for the 100ml and personally I find it great value for money, if just a tad short-lived, and leaning more feminine, but then again I like Ylang's smell regardless and this sure makes a statement. Workplace 100% safe, daytime, warm weather suitable. As a side note the bottle and color of the juice being yellow-green it's explained on the box with this statement in italian and english: "This fragrance represents a lucky potion, symbolized by the most iconic lucky charm. The cloverleaf. Spray it every time you need a drop of luck!" :🍀

This is gorgeous, and seems to fly under the radar a bit. As you would guess from the name, it's citrussy, but what I love is the middle ylang ylang note, it's really nicely blended into the overall scent. Exceptional value for money.

this one is maybe one of the first White florals for men in mass market. smell incredible and new.

This isn’t a “fresh and perfect for summer” type of fragrance. Maybe for early spring. But definitely good for autumn and winter. The first blast is sweet citrus and Ylang Ylang. The colors in the bottle may give an idea of a light and fresh citrus perfume. The Ylang Ylang continues at full power but it slowly melts into a creamy sandalwood, and let me tell you, this combination is heavenly. I wouldn’t call this perfume masculine, it’s easily a unisex scent. The drydown is worth the wait. 6+ hours.

Usually the blending of floral notes like Lavender, Lily of the valley, Rose, Ylang ylang, Sage and Violet, among others, in perfumery, can lead to exceptional creations, regardless of strength, longevity and sillage. In my humble opinion, five more words: Hidden Gem. Just get it.

Sampled this on my elbow just because it's on clearance for like $15/100ml. Pretty much ylang+lavender on woody patchouli. Yes, it's floral.. but.. Kenzo Power? How was the thought process leading to that? Where's the balsam and the spices?

To me, this is the most beautiful blending of ylang ylang I have ever smelled thus far. That’s what makes this Mandarina Duck so unique. Don’t think about it. Just get it.
