Macchia is very reminiscent of being on a farm. The smell of hay and animalic are very present. This animalic structure is not the repulsive type you see in some perfumes. This animalic is carefully structured and precise. It isn't thrown in just to claim animalic This scent is more a masterful reflection, not even interpretation of the setting. You can truly smell the animal as if it were directly in front of you. The animalics stay long enough to allow you to really immerse yourself in the imagery. You are then rewarded (although it was not a challenging destination) with the beautiful scent of Papaya and fruits to carry along with you as you leave. Truly masterful.

Tried this on a test strip. The animalic note kind of overpowers everything else for me as this smells like being in a barn/farm where you can distinctly smell the animal manure. It’s not necessarily off putting compared to some other weird perfumes I’ve tried. For example Sombre by Strangers Parfumerie also gave off animal manure vibes but I had a way more visceral reaction to that one compared to this. I don’t think this fragrance is suited for everyday wear, but it’s definitely more of an art piece or something weird to have in a fragrance enthusiast’s collection.
