Daisy Murakami Yellow

I’d been dying to add one of the Daisy Murakami’s to my collection, and this one was the closest to my old love - O.G. Daisy 🌼🥰 with more citrus. This perfume is SO happy, mood lifting and bright - all things we (at least I know I..) desperately need right now! Performance is nothing to write home about but is okay, and I can forgive that given how CUTE this scent and bottle are!! 🤩 It does create a nice scent bubble though. So happy to have a Daisy back in my life!! This one is an absolute charmer!

this is so good wtf. it’s definitely a very sweet almost juicy pink floral. yet not headache inducing. it’s fruity in the sweetest way, but not as sharp as a typical lychee rose. i actually get very little citrus from it. i actually get a very very tiny marshmallowy note in it?? lovee

Cute summer fragrance. Fruity notes smell a little like mango, was surprised that it's not one of the notes. Lasts all day which is not common for such scent profile.

After much anticipation (and a lot of gatekeeping from Marc Jacobs/ COTY and retailers) I finally got to sniff 3 (Green, Pink & Yellow) of the 4 of these at my local Ulta today. I had high hopes for the Green based on the aesthetic (will comment on that scent later – it was a hard pass), but the Yellow juice won me over. I would describe this as a fresh, sunny, citrus-floral. This opens with the mandarin and kumquat notes and the grapefruit keeps it from getting cloying and gives it a slightly soapy/ aldehydic vibe. Gardenia note dominates the rose, but is still well-balanced and gives it a mild "beachy" feel without going full sunscreen. The berries are present and lightly sweet. I'd say cedar is the main note in the drydown, which was far more compatible with my chemistry than the base notes in the other two I tried. Other notes listed (not mentioned here in the pyramid) include benzoin and ambrox. People who already like Daisy will probably enjoy this. I'm happy to be adding this to the collection. The bottles are adorable!

I normally don't like citrus scents but this one really worked magic on me, it's a very refreshing, uplifting, truly summer scent. A good blend of citruses, berries and flowers. It's perfect for hot weather, not cloying, and the longevity is surprising - it actually beats Daisy Wild's lasting, at least on my skin. This is my favourite from the Murakami line, and in my opinion the longest lasting too (Murakami Green lasts nicely too, but the banana in that one is too much for me).

Overall, the scent has many notes which I love which makes it very pleasant, but the nice fruity/candy top notes dissipate within 15 minutes, and the remaining scent is unremarkable. However, the bottle is SO cute and perfect in every way, as long as the perfume it holds is acceptable, that makes this perfume 100% worth it to me!!!

An everyday, casual, nondescript scent for the spring. Candy(ish) yet not too sharp, sweet, or cloying. The gardenia, wood, and praline notes do not stand out to my nose. It's light and bright. Think "girl next door". Not mind blowing, but definitely dependable as an easy reach in the warmer seasons.

I really like this, it's a good fragrance for summer and perfect for daily use. It's sweet but not overbearingly so, more in a refreshing way, like an iced glass of fruity water.

This one has the Daisy (original) DNA with a very soft quality. However, it also has a bright and clean citrus twist. By clean, I don't mean detergent-like but the citrus is pure and simple. I find it 70% similar to Daisy. The citrus isn't as pronounced as the Daisy Glow line. Still, it is pretty in a simple, contented way. The performance of Yellow is not impressive. It's quiet on clothing and skin compared with the pink and green. It has a lower sillage. It might shine better in hot weather.

The citrus note is very sharp/sparkling. I would have guessed bergamot, not mandarin. The citrus note here is very similar to the one in My Way

Smells like candy eww not for my taste

Marc Jacobs Daisy Murakami Yellow is basically fresh sparkling lemons sweetened by lots of watery fleshy kumquat and a tart strawberry. (Mandarin is listed as a note and not lemons, which explains the sweetness I'm getting from the citrus.) The strawberry sweetens a little as it dries, with raspberry joining a little later, and blends well with a gardenia aroma. Somewhere in the mid, there's something in this that comes off childish and cheap, making me want to sneeze. Maybe the cedar in this is scratchy or the citrus isn't refined enough. The raspberry also starts to clash with the kumquat. The opening is my favorite along with the dry-down which is ultimately a sweet lemonhead that smells fun and really good. It's made sweeter by the raspberry that learns to blend better, praline, and a more ripened kumquat. Or it could just be the praline sweetening all these notes and blending them. The gardenia also adds smoothness from its lush creamy nature to prevent sharpness from the cedar. The cedar imo makes the watery fruits more impactful to remind of the original Daisy dna. Projection is moderate and longevity is 7+ hours on clothes.

This is so pretty. The combination of strawberry, gardenia & kumquat give a soft candy-like scent. It smells like how Pez candy tastes with an extra kick of citrus. The original Daisy DNA is definitely there, which I don’t mind bc I haven’t used Daisy since high school in 2008 so it’s a nice trip down memory lane. However, this is different enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing the original. It’s soft, fruity-sweet & woody. Mass appealing & will work well for all ages. It’s an easy reach. I love it.

This is delightful. I went in to purchase perfect Absolut and had to sample the new collection. Wow. Totally different from my usual deeper scents, this is a very bright fresh scent. High notes that just pop. It is citrusy yet it isn't a traditional citrus scent. If you can't tell, I find it hard to pinpoint exact notes, they really play off of each other. This was the standout of the collection for me. I keep smelling my sample paper. I need it.

This is another one that’s smells similar to the original Daisy but it’s got a lot more fruit it’s very fresh at first spray but the grapefruit is quite strong. At the dry down the grapefruit settles down and I can smell raspberry plus strawberry but the raspberry and grapefruit is a lot stronger than strawberry I quite like it I’m impressed

Super sweet and tart candy. It opens with a slight cat pee black current type smell that quickly fades. Not long lasting at all.

This one and the blue both smell like the original Daisy to me unfortunately, as someone who loves the Daisies
