Daisy Twinkle

This noticeably diverges from the original Daisy. It focuses squarely on the violet and ditches the heady white florals almost entirely (there's a very subtle magnolia note giving it a touch of powderiness), as well as whatever gives the OG that ubiquitous "perfume-y" note that triggers a headache for a lot of people. Daisy Twinkle is all parma violets, but with a bit of a fresh/watery twist to stop it from being overly sweet. It's a shame this was limited edition, I would've repurchased this one over and over again! Edit: hello me from 2 years ago... you will one day finally sample Byredo's Mojave Ghost and lose your fucking mind that you already own a cheaper dupe*. Mwah, thank you, past me! (*I feel slightly uncomfortable outright calling it a dupe as Twinkle leans a little sweeter and MG a bit woody, but they're 80% similar and it would absolutely feel redundant to own both, so...)

My husband just got this recently for me as a surprise gift and this is my first fragrance from the daisy collection and I have to say that I really like this,the moment I sprayed it I could instantly pick up the scent of violets which is a note that is becoming more and more a favourite floral note of mine,it’s sweet without being over the top sweet and has a light powdery scent to it aswell,I also think that if purple had a scent this is what I imagine it would smell like which is great because purple also happens to my one of my favourites colours but overall I am really happy with this perfume and if you like the smell of violets in fragrances then I recommend this fragrance because it’s the perfect balance of sweet yet powdery without neither being too much.

This must be the perfume the fairies wear! Magical in every way. The violets in this dreamy juice is NOT powdery, like in Guerlains Insolence. Sweet red fruits, green freshness, sweet Parma violets and secret fairie-dust in an absolutely gorgeous purple bottle. It’s longlasting and absolutely lovely. I have it, (well...a backupbottle too...) and save it for special occasions. It is so sad that it is discontinued. Why do all good things come to an end? Dear Fragrantica’s, if you come across this beautiful little gem, don’t hesitate! Daisy Twinkle is a true treasure! :)

This beauty likes to play hide-and-seek. I would describe the sillage as on the light side of moderate, but it varies. Sometimes I don't realize I've forgotten all about it, until I encounter something else fruity (pear soap, blueberry oatmeal), and it suddenly brings out Daisy Twinkle's loveliness all over again. It does remind me of the original Daisy, with the violet played up.

Very similar to the original Daisy in my opinion, but with more emphasis on the violet note. If you love violet just like I do but want even more of it than in the original Daisy, this is right up your alley.

Violet overdose, and much fresher than the original Daisy. A magical and comforting floral scent with a dash of sweetness to it. Such a shame Daisy Twinkle was a limited edition release.

Like you'd expect, a violet bomb in a bottle. Joyful, delicate and definitely the best from the Daisy collection in my opinion. I'm sad it was a temporary edition.

What a lovely summer scent! It’s cool, comforting, soft and beautiful. I wish it could have more longlivety. Love it.

This perfume is a beautiful floral, without being too sweet. This one is actually quite woodsy to my nose, but not in an overpowering way. The violet isn't overly powdery, as the red berries balances it without making it fruity. The more I sniff, the more I smell that twinkle has an aquatic quality to it but not in an obvious way. This is a GORGEOUS spring/summer scent, can be worn day or night. I haven't smelled the original Daisy, so I'm not sure how it compares to that. But I do really enjoy this scent, perfect for a young women, but grown up enough not to smell like a preteen. It's lovely, I'm glad I picked it up. Edit: something I tried - I layered this with Bath and Body "Secret Wonderland" spray... It's AMAZING. If you have both of these laying around I definitely recommend mixing them, it might sound strange but it works. I love it.

While all the various Marc Jacob Daisies have been pleasant in their own ways, none of them ever tempted me in particular—until Daisy Twinkle came along. There really is no way to describe this but the word "magical." Whoever named this Twinkle was right on the mark, because the perfume truly twinkles. It's a sprightly ozonic violet which almost shimmers and sparkles with light, energy, and fun. The white woods give it a creamy, almost powdery touch which grounds the fragrance in a nice way and keeps it from becoming too wispy. Overall it feels like the perfume equivalent of twinkling fairy lights in a flower garden in the summertime while evening sets and the skies turn lavender: feminine, glowing, playful, and pretty. The longevity and sillage are poor but in a fragrance this cute, I don't even really care!

Blind bought bottle. I love violet scents and was not disappointed. Starts off a bit too woodsy for me, but then turns into a beautiful violet with a hint of sweetness from the berries. Not at all very sweet like Mon Paris by YSL. But definitely sweeter than Kerbside Violet by Lush. Somewhat powdery. And very versatile, as sillage is moderate. Reminds me of the first day of spring when flowers are just starting to bloom, and you walk through your neighbourhood without a jacket for the first time that year. The air is warming up and fresh, and you can start the smell the first blooming flowers.

A huge disappointment that this was limited addition. I really liked this scent! You can really smell the violet and berry notes with the first spray. Dries down to be a bit powdery, but mixes in evenly with the berry notes afterward. I don't see this coming back, but I'm hoping it makes a return at some point. It's probably the most unique scent I've smelled from this brand.

This really smells like violets and violet leafs, but it's light and nice at the same time. There's also a typical white floral note that is very distinct for "Daisy". A good and fresh scent, I like it, even better than the original Daisy. Also, the bottle is very cute, I love the golden flower on cap.

Violet, cute violet, fresh clean very floral. This scent is in my opinion better than Dream Twinkle which is sweeter. me like it but it is only for people that realy like violets. NOT powdery my opinion.

Daisy Twinkle is a very pretty and girly fragrance. I was expecting it to be powdery parma violets, but instead it smells crisp and aquatic It has a fresh and delicate fairy-like vibe. I like it

Very soapy, like a scented shampoo. Fresh and intense white floral plus lots of violet leaf. Nice, but not a love, unfortunately. Bottle in reality is more lilac and less white.

A very good scent, don't get me wrong, but smelled very similar to original daisy. I am not wowed by it though- couldn't really detect it on me after 30 minutes.

Blind bought this after rave reviews, and honestly it's quite a boring scent. Fresh and lovely, no doubt, but not anything rave-worthy IMO? No regrets though, since this is limited edition and I am a collector, but I honestly don't think its worth the hype. It reminds me of Daisy Eau So Fresh, and I honestly think you'd be better off with that instead.

The perfume smells a bit like woodsy citrus/lemons. I blind bought this, and it arrived today. I think I smell the violet leaf as the top note and the citrus. Reminds me of woodsy evergreen trees that have that sort of lemony smell. The violet is actually not a powdery violet but more a violet leaf. If you are looking for a powdery violet like some of the Geurlain fragrances, this isn't it I'm afraid. This is not a safe blind buy as its alot more woodsy then it appears. Maybe being in a purple bottle it threw me off. I think this is probably a good summer fragrance and will try to wear it in the summer as i spent over $100 on it.😕

Smells like Daisy but not as good

Out of all the limited-edition versions of Daisy (Delight, Sunshine, Blush, etc), I like this one the least. It resembles the original Daisy too much; where the original is slightly grassy, this one is slightly powdery. If I were to have smelled this without seeing the bottle, I would have assumed it was a knock-off rendition of Daisy rather than a new version, since the grassiness of the original is what makes it distinct to me. The sillage and longevity are both very poor on me; an hour after applying it, I can barely smell it on my skin even when I press my nose to my wrist. I still enjoy the scent, but it is lacking the distinctiveness that the other limited-editions have had. Its sole advantage is that it layers with other scents better than the original Daisy (and better than any of the other editions) due to how mild it is. Unless you are a collector, I wouldn't bother hunting this one down if you already own and enjoy Daisy. If Daisy is just a bit too sharp and green-smelling for you, you might give this one a try if you can find it at a good price.

Tested this at Sephora yesterday. I may be anosmic to it. I can hardly smell anything except for a fleeting faint floral scent. From that fleeting scent, I can’t even discern specific floral notes. Just something vaguely floral. I took a sample home. Asked others if they could smell it, they seem to have the same problem. I would be interested in what other people think and if they can actually smell much of a fragrance here.

It definitely smells pretty, with creamy violets in the top notes, nicely done...the scent is feminine, rather soft, but interesting...I kind of liked it, and I agree it is a bit like the original, not so floral though....I expected fruity girlish, it isnt...it has a floral undertone throughout,,not that I would run to buy it for myself, but I wouldn't mind wearing it,,,very springlike without being a fruit salad !

I have a love hate relstionship with the entire Daisy connection. I wanted something for daytime. Its too heavy for that (even tho its EDT???) For night time i need more oompf and less soapyness. I love this on my friend. Find it too soapy and boring on myself Edit: after a while... this is becoming less overwelming, less soapy, more woody. Might reconcider this after all!

oh that violet ..ahhhhhh.........just love this line......... if u love violet in perfumes the daisy line really does violet justice i think :) and twinkle does not disappoint.....soft creamy floral :) and love the purple & gold.........beautiful choice :)

Pretty much smells like the original Daisy just in a super adorable bottle. I was running out of my big 3.4oz og Daisy so I'm glad I picked this up from Mercari.
