Marc Jacobs Rain Splash 2016

I LOVE this perfume ♡ Fragrances really are subjective... Maybe some people think this is boring or no better than cheap drugstore bodyspray, but it's one of the most beautiful aquatics I've personally smelled. I'm a huge fan of Kenzo L'eau par Kenzo Pour Femme, but I tend to stop buying perfume once it's discontinued, so I haven't hunted it down since 2012. Another reviewer commented that this smells exactly like that fragrance, so I was enticed even further into wanting this. After a few months of debating, I decided to blind purchase this, and I'm soooo happy I did! :) ♡ I think the comparison to Kenzo L'eau par is a good one. There's something in this perfume that also triggers my brain to think of D&G L'Imperatrice 3 when I smell it - maybe a fruit note that reminds me of the watermelon in that? I think if you like the fragrance notes and/or if you like floral aquatics at all, this perfume is worth giving a chance... If you didn't like it, I'm sure someone else you know would - I would consider this a very inoffensive and overall generally pleasing fragrance. Definitely ideal for spring & summer, but I would also wear this year-round. + Just an FYI: I think this is much more of a feminine scent. Slightly surprised to see that men wear this too. But maybe that's just me.

You're outside in rain gear playing in the rain in the grass in your back yard next to a dryer vent. You hear all the droplets on the leaves around you and can't help but feel mesmerized by the sound. You go inside and take off all your damp clothes and put a freshly warmed pair of cotton pajamas on to get rid of the chill. That is this scent. I bought this after Oakcha Morning Rain (their take of Gypsy Water) and decided I wanted more Petrichor rain scents. I spend a lot of the time in woods full of pine and birch and moss and large glacier dropped stones and wanted something to capture the joy of swimming in the woods in a cold pond after the rain. This wasn't it. Was it ever lovely tho. I can't help but hug my sleave and feel comforted.

I looovvveee this one from MJ range! I've fallen in love since the first sniff few years ago on a sample product in a perfumery store. And finally I get this rare item in my country! The smell is just like its name... Rain! It smell so watery fresh like the pouring rain in a meadow. Just fresh, soft, fresh, so soothing til I just want to sniff my wrist all the time when I wear this. :) I imagine myself in the middle of wet savana after the rain. I hope MJ wouldn't stop producing this item! It's my forever favorite fragrance to use both day and night. The silage is very good and long lasting as well, up to 4-5 hours on my skin. Repurchase? Suurrreeee... :D

My sister gave me a bottle of this for my high school graduation in 2008. To this day Marc Jacobs Rain is my absolute favorite aquatic summer scent of all time. It's fresh and clean, bright and uplifting and smells exactly like fresh rain in my opinion. Very much a spring/summer scent, it's appropriate for any situation. I wish this was something I could permanently buy and I'm absolutely clinging to the end of a back up bottle from the 2016 re-release. To this day, I haven't been able to find any other aquatic quite like this. Many of them lean unisex to masculine in my experience and this is a very feminine aquatic.

Does not smell like rain. Despite that, I absolutely adore it. It smells exactly like squeaky clean laundry detergent. I get some strawberry from it but it's not overpowering and is masterfully done. The watery notes are present. I don't get much of anything else, though. Love the light blue colour of this! The bottle won't likely win any design award, but it is lovely (if not slightly wieldy.) The cap is HUGE, but I like it. I find it kawaii somewhat. This is in the same vibe as The Body Shop White Musk l'Eau. If you like that one, this one will also greatly appeal to you, too. Totally unisex.

I really, really wanted to try this as I tend to love aquatic, watery scents. To my surprise, there was a 15 ml official travel spray listed on ebay for around $11. I figured, what's the worst that can happen for $11? Well, the perfume is definitely real, and I adore it. The initial opening blast is fresh cut grass and tangerines, very pretty. After a few minutes the fragrance settles into something very calm, very zen, smelling watery, slightly woody and very fresh, like nature after a heavy downpour. It is very light with almost no projection, and it lasts for 2 hours max.

I do love this scent but not as a perfume, more as a linen spray lol idk what it is but it gives me fruity laundry vibes lol Update: I threw this on to run to the store because I was gross and sweaty and I didnt want to smell like sweat lol I kept getting these fruity whiffs and I was thinking about it and I can definitely see why this was called Rain but I think a more appropriate name would be something more like 'Summer Rain' cause it was definitely giving me some summer vibes and now i am loving it for summer time

Marc Jacobs Rain-A true aquatic scent. To me, this smells like going outside after a rain shower...rain dripping off leaves, a dewy lawn...a green aquatic with an earthy base. The strawberry and the clementine are not largely noticeable in the opening. This is really a delicate skin scent. Very clean, (not in a soapy way) and fresh(again, not in an air freshener way), and mildly sweet. A really nice uncomplicated Spring/Summer scent. If you love aquatic fragrances, I would say this is a safe blind buy. Really lovely.

I have wanted to buy this for so long even though I never smelled it, there was just something about it that I HAD to have it, so finally after five years I bought it and got it last week. IM SO SO SO glad I did :) it is beautiful! If you like Clinique Happy Heart-you’ll love this! If you like CLEAN Rain (reserve or classic) you’ll Love this! Very much aquatic, almost melon maybe!?! Rain to me describes this perfect!!!!! This could easily be one of my new faves!!!

This is beautiful! There's something really addictive about this, I cannot stop smelling my wrist. To me this smells fresh, pretty, happy and energetic. I can smell melon in this, that's what the perfume reminds me of, how refreshing a cool piece of melon can be on a hot day. It's refreshing but in a delicate understated way, not like an in your face citrus bomb. This definitely isn't the most expensive smelling perfume but definitely under rated!

I simply love it. It's very clean, and fresh but also has its character. You won't feel like spraying a toilet air freshener on :D. I can't smell clementine at all, a bit of grass, yes, water notes are radiating strong. It is fresh but also cozy. I feel males and females could wear it. The price could be slightly lower as the scent radiates for like 5 hours, then you can smell it on skin only.

It's aquatic, little bit sweetness, fresh....Just like when you came out from shower room.... Remind me one rainy summer day with flower bouquet. For me, it last quite long time and sillage was not that bad. I sprayed it on my hair and when the wind blows my hair, people asked me what kind of perfume I use. But maybe that's because I use green scented shampoo.

Very good blind buy, I think this will be my signature scent for warmer months, very clean aquatic scent, without any sharp notes, minimalistic, super clean, perfect for the office! I would say it’s more femine (if you like male version of it I would recommend Replica - when the rain stops). Overall: 10/10

this fragrance is so pretty. i don’t know how to explain it but it smells like freshly fallen snow. not necessarily as earthy as rain. it also smells so clean and soap-like. it sort of has the same vibe as replica’s bubble bath, only way better in my opinion.

I loooove this scent sooo much!!!! there is a smell like freshly sliced strawberries, and smell of earth exposed to rainwater (petrichor). like walking in the strawberry garden on a rainy day. It's clean and fresh scent, i love to wear it everytime.

I don't love a lot of Marc Jacobs perfumes but this is great. I tend to spray this right before bed or after shower. It is SO fresh and lovely. Just the right amount of sweet. Does not smell artificial or perfumey at all. This is a lovely scent.

This never fails to put a smile on my face. It’s so beautiful and gentle. Haven’t previously looked at the notes but seeing its got sunflower I can totally smell it now. Pure summer rain bliss.

I would have guess this a riff on the classic cucumber melon had I not read the notes. It is somewhere between that a clean cotton. Super nice, super retro to a certain era, super wearable.

Gorgeous,fresh, aquatic. Smells heavenly for all of about 30 minutes then disappears. I used up a bottle in no time. I wouldn't purchase it again for that reason.

This is like aromatherapy for me. The best going-to-bed perfume for summer/hot nights. It almost makes me nostalgic, very strange, but I love it.
