To Break

This is a blast of pineapple, naturally sounding, long-lasting, and close to the skin. A juicy pineapple note is set within a frame of restrained flowers, while very delicate santal and spices give this composition an almost woody, dry shadow. For some people, the pineapple note might sound like plastic (which is why the previous commenter mentions toys); I understand this perspective (although for me, this pineapple sounds natural), but it still evokes pleasant, happy associations. On different skin types, the heart of this fragrance is either more juicy and fruity (even lightly sweet) or more clean, with notes of wood and a hint of plastic. This fragrance evokes a sense of spring, a breeze and a feeling of walking in the mountains. I think musk and apple are responsible for this evocative feeling. Yet it is not a spring bouquet (look at the kind of flowers here, plus santal); it still has a sparkling spring feeling. Beautiful, captivating composition. This full-bodied fragrance is perfectly balanced, and this kind of excellence is typical for the fragrances of this brand. Bravo to the perfumer and bravo to the brand. I wish the sillage were bigger, but as a close companion, it will cheer you up for several hours.

Tackling To Break on the heels of an unexpected sample, I wonder why I had ignored it until today, one of those mysteries to ponder. Mark Buxton, once again, hits my olfactory inclinations. While I usually strive to resist the predictable link between scents and memories, such restraint proved futile this time. Recent readings about someone reminiscing their childhood with the fragrance of nature’s wonders triggered a stark contrast in my recollections. My early years smelled of peculiar things: the plastic and rubber of toys, now deemed contraband, the forbidden scents of glues and paints, and the lingering aroma of fruits served as school snacks. To Break’s opening mirrors this concoction of natural and synthetic wonders, an enduring swirl where pineapple and apple engage in a playful face-off with magnolia. Meanwhile, iris, relegated from that spirited rendezvous, blends with a hint of spice, predominantly pepper, patiently waiting to join the musky base guided by a dreamy ambergris accord. The fragrance’s evolutionary dance exudes a spring-like anticipation, yet it cunningly plays the Waiting for Godot card, leaving you in suspense.

Quite nice but I wouldn't pay this as it's quite weak then again it was raining so keep that in mind unless you see similar reviews

Very avant garde smelling, its really hard to describe.. but i would describe it as chalky, tart, and a little bit fruity (not sweet) im also reminded of pastel colors, perhaps something in the vein of purple or blue... but that could be the bottle talking

This one has to be the most interesting frag I have when it comes to it’s massive change in dry down. Literal fruit bowl at the opening, pure woods at the end, a drastic change I find very interesting. Overall tho, okay fragrance at best
