Iron Man

Bought this for my 12 year old son for his birthday and was shocked at how great the scent profile was. It's in line with the Encre Noir vetiver DNA's. The only downside is how weak it is. However I'm not mad about that as I don't really want my child wearing a nuclear projecting scent to school. But adults interested in this might want to think twice. It's very weak. Think 4711 splash weak.

Got this from the Goodwill thinking it would a joke scent, instead, it’s actually decent standing apart with its cinnamon and spice notes. Subdued and masculine. A good change up/

Even cooler decant than the Captain America for hero buffs...better performance as well. Passing resemblance to Terre d'Hermes. Be warned it is overbearing in the daytime heat.

It’s a Burberry Brit clone through And through. At this price point you really can’t go wrong if you like that stuff. Which I do... Scent 9/10 Sillage 8/10 Longevity 8/10

This is not that great. I bought my boys (11 and 9) two Marvel scents each for Valentine's Day. They were $10 each at Burlington. Captain America and Spiderman were the best. I also bought Iron Man and Black Panther. To be honest, this smells really cheap (which it is). I do kind of see the Tony Stark vibe in that it's trying to smell expensive but is a poor imitation. It smells a bit spicy/older man-- reminds me a bit of Old Spice and my grandpa, although even Old Spice is better. My son likes this, and he's only 11, so it's just fine for what I bought it for (the superhero cool factor). I would not recommend this based on scent alone. Captain America was the best of the four I bought, and that was decent even aside from the kitschy part. Spider Man was decent too, but I'll be glad when this one is gone or forgotten!

Bought this along with other from the Marvel Line just for shelf decorations. This has the coolest bottle. :)

A probably futile attempt at seriously reviewing some of the Marvel Comics fragrance line. I was curious enough about Air-Val International's Marvel licensed fragrances to pick up a set of four eau de toilette mini bottles. The ingredient lists on the box shows that the four fragrances should be quite different, ...but in actuality, they are all fairly similar. Smelling them side-by-side does reveal differences, ...so at least they aren't just putting the exact same cheap cologne in different bottles, ...but the differences are slight enough to suggest many bases and accords are shared between scents. Individual descriptions of each of the four scents: • Iron Man is similar to The Hulk, but its sweet note is brighter and fruitier (so apple?), ...while Iron Man is supposed to be more spicy, its aromatic (spicy?) notes just read as lavender. • In comparison, The Hulk is a notably more powdery, less fruity, vanilla-lavender blend. • Captain America is vaguely like Cool Water, ...but after direct comparison, it is more sweetly vanilla than that. So overall, just a weak and undistinguished woody-vanillic aromatic. • Spiderman is another woody fresh-aromatic, similar to Captain America, but with less vanilla and more citrus.

I don't even know what to say. I talked my best friend into buying this for $10 at TJ Maxx. Now, thanks to me he is into many of the more couture brands such as Bond and Acqua di Parma. But this just couldn't be passed up. Long story short, as soon as we got out of the store, he opened it up and spritzed it. Some ended up on my hand, and as soon as I got home my dogs came over and started sniffing my hand. One of them actually coughed a few times and they both ran away from me. When I was in grad school, I worked part-time at Lowe's with this doofy guy from the country. I know he had a penchant for the superhero colognes. True to form, Iron Man cologne smells like it would be worn by a guy who works at Lowe's and collects wrestling t-shirts as a hobby. This is not an ambitious cologne. In fact, it seems as if its highest ambition is to mask the body odor of a middle aged cave dweller who has forgotten to shower. Have I convinced you to save your $10 yet?

No doubt many are getting this for their kids or as a gift for fans of marvel and what you’re met with upon initial spray is a blast of... CLOVE!? Interesting profile for a scent marketed like this but I’m actually glad they went this route. It’s reminiscent of Terre d’Hermes with the orange replaced with dry spice. Performance is meh but overall it’s a good pick up if you find it cheap.

Booze should be the predominant note.
