J-Mat

I was so excited about this blind buy. First - the bottle design is surprising a marvellous. I can see the similarity with Narciso Pure Musc but it way more reminds me of original white cube Narciso Narciso as it is creamier and muskier and more powdery. It might be a great replacement for the discontinued white cube Narciso.The first impression is rather masculine - I think it is an unisex winter perfume. The dry down is more tender. Though creamy it is very strong perfume and can induce headache in more sensitive people. I will give an update after wearing it for few weeks. Very unique fragrance!

I got a free sample in an order and was suprised to not finde any reviews and rather low rating. So here goes nothing. First: I am very sesnitive to whithe musks a d its not my favorite category cuz I risk migrains with it. But who dosen't like the clean laundry or skin smell, so finding one that DOSEN'T trigger headaches is always nice for me. This is much softer and mellow compared to Issey's Drop. It is very distinctive 90ies and early 2000 florals. Think pastel yellow. Where Drop is crisp pastel blue or lilac colored. It smells so 90ies that its hard to compare it to a singel scent but there are some of these floral notes in Poem, some are found in Guerlains Jardin de Bagatelle. I think it must be the floral and peachacords in combination. Its VERY plesant. Yet indistinct. It does what it does, not excitedly but well. Drop was to sharp and big for me, all the Narcisor Rodriguez Musks give me a migrain. Actualy they nust use the same white musk as nost Designers use in a "cedar" heavy base. Others go to heavy on white florals and become to much for "just a clean scent" J-mat is the secnt of your well out together godmother that you liked to hugg as a kid, cuz she just smelled "nice". If I ever feel like I need a laundry clean scent I'll remember this one.

wish I got more ginger but the peach and floral notes are giving freshly cleaned but permanently gross public bathroom

I got a free sample of this in my order or JHG Citizen Queen. This has a very sharp opening for me. I get lilac here in the mid but the way it mixes w/ the ginger top notes here is off putting for me. I struggle w/ ginger in perfumes. Many times, the ginger note comes off either sharply synthetic or like a ginger scented laundry detergent. The only true floral perfumes that I have enjoyed w/ a ginger note are Jean Patou's Nacre which I owned but used up before it turned on me. It was an older perfume, and I am sad mine is gone but it is better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all and we in the perfume community know that feeling all too well. And I enjoy Armani Code which is still available today. In both of those the ginger adds a subtle lift to the bouquet of florals but here it just comes off almost metallic. The lilac here is also very synthetic smelling, it is hard to find really good lilac perfumes that are not headache inducing. There is white musk here in the base, a note I enjoy very much but the sharp ginger and overly synthetically green toned lilac ruin what could have been a decent dry down. I can barely hold this perfume to my nose the headache sensation is that strong for me. This is a very cheaply done laundry detergent scent. If you are looking for a good lilac perfume, I have 2 suggestions. 1 is moderately priced, in fact it is a good value for money. It is Singularity by JD Jeffery Dame, his Femme line. And on the more expensive side Ineke After My Own Heart is a beautiful lilac soliflore. Now if you will excuse me, I HAVE to wash this horrid fragrance off my hand!

It’s ginger—the ground kind of ginger I use during festive times to make gingerbread. So much ginger that my throat feels scratchy. Ginger it is—this is it. Ah, no, wait. On its dry-down, close to the skin, I can sense something very familiar, something from my childhood. It reminds me of YSL's good old Opium from the '80s, back when my mom used to wear it.
