The black sheep of a line of edgy and rather monotone offerings, neroli oranger is a stunning floral fragrance, the type you catch yourself sniffing off your hand in public like a degenerate for too long before snapping out of a trance. Unlike what others below will have you believe, there is nothing 'straightforward' here about this orange blossom, mainly because this is one of the very very few fragrance to actually use real orange blossom, unlike the theme of the other fragrances in this line like guaiac wood that is used all over niche perfumery. So comparing it to pure tunisian orange blossom extract, which btw costs around 30-50$ per ml based on quality, Neroli Oranger is a essentially an exaltation of the raw material, the deep nectar-like sweetness amped up to 10, the freshness further elaborated on in the top, the dry down deep and soft and full. At around 35$ for 6ml this is actually excellent for anyone wanting to sample real orange blossom, but also as a high quality surprisingly deep floral freshie. Excellent!

I can’t stop thinking about the two reviews, one saying that Neroli Oranger is the only fragrance from MP that I like because it’s the only one not loaded up with stinky aromachemicals, and the other saying Neroli Oranger is the only fragrance from MP that I don’t like because it’s too linear and longevity is lacking. Both are valid points from two commonly opposing perspectives on personal fragrance in general. I find myself in the camp of the first sentiment, that Neroli Oranger is the only fragrance I can stomach from MP. And it happens to be one of my all time favorite smells. Photorealistic orange blossom on a hot day. It conjures the image of the sun-drenched skin I miss having year-round after moving from Texas to Ohio. The first time I smelled it I literally cried tears of joy. My first experience with “solar musk”. I get more sweet, juicy, soapy orange blossom than I get dry, green neroli. Ylang brings a tropical quality. I love it for its transparency. You can’t over-spray this one. Love at first sniff.

This is such a high quality fragrance, and the best use of neroli that I've come across. The opening is strong natural white floral neroli with a soft musk. After half an hour it mellows to a beautiful green neroli with orange blossom, and a whisper of what I'd describe as the scent when you pick up a whole fresh orange and smell the outside of the peel. A very faint musk holds a soft bed to balance the green notes. Very subtle, beautiful, understated quality. A little goes a long way, I only used two sprays on the neck and get unexpected whiffs of it all throughout the day. A stunning spring fragrance, but I feel it could be worn in Summer or Winter as well. I'd recommend Neroli Oranger for those who love natural white florals without the sweetness aspect, for neroli lovers of all genders, and for those looking for an introduction to high end niche houses.

I just love Matiere for how they showcase the beauty of hero ingredients at a high quality, and this is no exception. Excellent perfume for what it is with no complicated notes lists. What you see is what you get with Neroli Oranger and the beauty is it’s simplicity. As a white floral lover this is a breezy bottle of floral perfection. The bergamot opening although a classic and commonly used combo is always a winner in my opinion. Once the bergamot has settled this is a soft and close to skin scent to be enjoyed by those closest. Longevity on skin is moderate but lasts on clothes. Full bottle worthy if it weren’t for the price in this case as there are many neroli and orange blossom combo’s out there.

This was a great surprise for me from this brand. I'd kind of assumed it would be a sort of citrusy eau de cologne type thing with a strong neroli thread. Rather, this is a beautiful, realistic orange blossom-centric white floral that gorgeously captures the waxy, indolic, sweet scent of the flowers along with the woodsy greenness of petitgrain and a bit of the fruity, sharp citrus of orange peel. The somewhat ephemeral floral notes are extended and made to melt into the skin with the assistance of creamy musks. This brings to mind the fleshy, live floral scent of Lutens' Fleur d'Oranger without the cumin.

The floral heart is clean and radiant—Orange Blossom, Neroli, and Petitgrain—but what grounds it is the contrast: dry moss, hay-like notes, and a soft woodiness that give it real shape and lift. Bright, crisp, and confidently minimal—an orange grove in late afternoon light.

I've been wearing this perfume for the last 3 weeks and i'm definitely happy to have it in my collection. I bought it blindly, trusting in Aurelien Guichard experience and previous works. Slightly more feminine, but perfectly wearable for men. The perfumer wanted to stick to one raw material at a time and managed it. Both neroli and orange blossoms are very present and you can smell the highest quality of the material. Very good longevity and good sillage. Definitely recommend it if you are a lover of neroli/orange blossoms.

As the perfumer intended, it really is such a pure scent of orange blossom. Like sticking your nose in the flower. I am not a big fan of very floral fragrances but the purity of this one is so wonderful. Like the rest of Matiere Premiere fragrances, the scent is what many would criticize as "linear", but I think that's kind of the point. The deep dry down (I mean like 8 hours or so in) transforms into a lovely lovely musk (I'm a musk nut lol) that I wish I could contain into it's own fragrance entirely.

Neroli Oranger is the essence of summer — fresh, airy, and full of sunlight. The star of the show is a bright and delicate neroli, beautifully blended with sweet orange blossom and a touch of bitter orange for depth. It feels natural, uplifting, and clean, like walking through an orange grove bathed in morning dew. Despite its lightness, it’s far from generic. It carries the modern and minimalist signature of Matiere Premiere, with a soft musky base that subtly anchors the freshness and adds longevity.

Being a neroli fan, I am biased. Nevertheless, stumbled upon this when between meetings and wandering around town. Yes, there is a bit of soapiness to this but I love the combination and it is the smoothest mix I've experienced to date in connection with neroli fragrances. The initial scent evolves spectacularly with time. I sprayed this on my neck/shirt and now 7 hours later, still enjoying how this has changed throughout the day. I am definitely going back and getting a bottle.

Sweet, musky orange and creamy white florals. It's warm, sun-sweetened, and happy—that point during an all-day summer party where the vibe is just beginning to shift from eager and energetic to sultry and relaxed; everyone turning sun-drunk and casual in the long, slanting light of the late afternoon. The ylang ylang adds a slightly candy-like element, and the musk adds a gauzy smoothness and dimension—like a filter over a photo captioned "Dreamy summer afternoon."

I have no words. What a beautiful scent! I bought this at Le Parfum in Wien looking for a citrusy perfume. I had to choose from many fragrances, but ultimately, I chose this. Definitely a Spring and Summer scent. It's not overpriced, it's just a niche perfume and that justifies the price and luxurious quality. Accords are mainly white floral, but it's absolutely unisex. It's top notch just like every other perfume from this house. I couldn't recommend it enough.

i love this fragrance house, and for me, full bottles of Encens Suave, Radical Rose, Bois D’Ebene and Parisian Musc more than justify their price point in terms of longevity, sillage and nuanced beauty of composition. Neroli Oranger is really lovely too: a soft, sparkling blend that puts a sunny smile on your face as soon as you spritz- but somehow it’s almost too simple for me to want to invest in. if i was more of a minimalist i’d be all over it.

I agree with PHEA. It is beautiful, linear and a beautiful going to bed or out of the shower refreshment. Does not have so much base to perform as a real perfume. Don’t get a lot of drydown. But pretty and pure neroli orange blossom scent. Love to wear it when it is really hot, but also think it performs well in cooler weather. It is refined and subtle, and I love it.

This fragrance is special. It is a perfect blend of neroli & orange blossoms that is both delicate and powerful at the same time. Delicate as it has an airy freshness that uplifts my mood but this fragrance lasts foreeeeeeeeeverrrrrrrrr! So happy to have experienced this beauty and will wear this out before the warmer weather is over for the year.

I find Neroli Oranger to be such a sensuous, luxurious and realistic orange blossom while still being somewhat fresh without being soapy (I also adore soapy orange blossom scents). This is one of my favorite orange blossom fragrances with a lovely sillage and projection while also being ideal for almost any season except for really humid weather.

Clean, Creamy Neroli I absolutely love this one! It's vibrant with the neroli and Bergamot and has a creaminess about it from the Orange Blossom and Ylang-Ylang. If you don't like Neroli or floral perfumes, this one is not for you. If those notes don't bother you, it's a must try and the performance is great on me! Uplifting, Fresh and Clean:🌼

Neroli Oranger opens with the brightest neroli accented by a dash of honey and ylang-ylang, which quickly melts into a balmy, clean orange blossom in its purest form. The musk in this is sublime. I can imagine giving my wrists a spritz after a shower before bedtime and floating away into a dreamland of pillowy orange blossom petals.

This is the one. This is THE neroli fragrance. I say that as someone who hasn't smelt that many but oh my lord do I love this perfume. I'm always hesitant with citrusy perfumes as they never last long on my skin but I feel like I can still smell the neroli after a good 4-5 hours. It's fresh and summery and floral and I just love it

Beautiful fresh, lifelike neroli and orange blossom. I love that the neroli is more dominant in this one, as most of the time OB is the star. I find neroli to be more gender neutral and has a more 'spa' like refinement. If you are a natural girly who wants something simple, fresh, and classy-try this. Similar to Parade by Celine.

Excellent interpretation of the neroli theme. The opening especially is so uplifting and beautiful. Its like a marriage between neroli and fresh zesty orange juice. It settles down to a an etherial citrusy musk and the neroli continues until the end. One the best fragrances in this genre.

This is a very straightforward perfume, no surprises from the opening till the drydown. That said, it is such a lovely soft orange blossom perfection 😍 The musky base rounds the scent and provides the longevity that citrus scents don’t usually posses. It is beautiful in its simplicity ❤️

a summer in italy is exactly what this smells like. sophisticated, summery and fun. when i first smelled this in the store i knew i had to have this and im glad i did. this lasts hours on my skin and the dry down is a gorgeous combination of the ylangylang and musk. perfect for summer

Neroli Oranger is an excellent perfume, it is fresh and long lasting. im happy to have such perfume in my perfume collection. Neroli Ecstopia and Neroli oranger are the best 2 neroli perfumes i ever tried then i decided to buy them. they are summer perfumes especially in the morning.

there was an orange tree outside the back door of the house i lived in when i was 13. When it flowered I thought it was the best smell in the world and decided that it would be my signature scent this to me is pure orange blossom and it’s perfect, beautifully nostalgic

This is beautiful opening is a little green but it dries down to a beautiful high quality white floral I don’t get much bergamot but it’s definitely there surprisingly lasts long with good silage which is rare for me 10/10 summer fragrance successful bling buy 😍

Ive tested all of tom ford's neroli fragrances and a few others but they all smell synthetic and artificially sweet. This is amazing though, toasted nuts/rice and ylang ylang really mellow out the neroli naturally and it's definitely the best neroli ive smelt.

before this, I disliked that yellow-floral ylang ylang smell however, neroli oranger is the perfect balance of what I’m searching for. it’s got that elegant freshness, with a hit of floral-sweetness which I am absolutely in love with. 10/10

Hidden gem of the neroli and orange blossom world as well as the Matiere Premiere line. Neroli-forward, fresh and uplifting, sweet but not at all syrupy, uncomplicated and kinda linear, and just gorgeous. 10/10.

Right now, this is THE orange blossom scent for me. I strongly prefer it over other popular suggestions like Jo Malone, Serge Lutens, Killians etc. it’s very fresh but doesn’t lean too lemon pledge for me.

The dry down of this is so nostalgic for me smells like kids childhood fav candy in the Philippines called max candy the yellow one

Almost identical with Neroli Portofino. Lovely musky-soapy drydown too. I like layering with TBS White Musk oil underneath.

Smells like hair fixing foam spray my dad used to have in the 90s...still, better than French Flower.

Néroli Oranger is another simple, linear scent from Matière Première, made from high quality, natural-smelling ingredients. It is not unusual or groundbreaking, but it is an excellent, long-lasting, realistic neroli-orange blossom scent. Bright, clean and feminine-leaning, NO is very wearable and deeply pleasant. NO opens with a radiant citrus note - fresh, juicy and realistic. The tart bergamot adds a little bite to the heady, slightly green neroli. It is bright, fresh and uplifting. The sweeter, lusher orange blossom follows, forming the crux of this scent. It becomes more floral as the ylang ylang comes to the fore, enhancing the orange blossom with its tropical sweetness. It is beautiful here, and despite the florals, it is not too sweet - it remains clean and citrus-fresh, yet creamy. Ripe, photorealistic orange trees come to mind. It becomes musky as it develops, which softens the juicy citrusy freshness nicely. It fades gradually to become a musky skin scent with a soft hint of orange remaining The longevity is impressive - it lasts for the entire day on my skin - very unusual when it comes to citrus scents. Sillage is initially moderate, but this scent is on the subtle side. Simple, fresh and natural-smelling, NO is ideal for spring/summer days. A more polite alternative to Serge Lutens Fleur d'Oranger, this is one of the best orange blossom scents I've tried. 4/5.

I love it when I come to review something and people are already echoing what I have to say. Makes me feel validated! Anyway, yes, this is an EXTREMELY smooth blend. I would highly recommend this to people who like neroli and/or orange blossom "in small doses", because both are very much still the star of the show but the overall composition has managed to mellow them out somehow? It's for that reason this is a 'like' rather than a 'love' for me, because I'm personally very fond of neroli even if it's "overdosed" in a perfume (Mwah! Love you, Sundazed). On me the longevity is poor, but these kind of simplistic, "stripped back" orange blossom/neroli fragrances often are. I would say I get about 2-3 hours out of it, tops. At this price point and for how often you'd have to reapply I'd probably suggest Amalfi Sunray and/or Fleur d'Oranger from Zara if you're looking for an everyday wear scent, but I also encourage fellow neroli and/or orange blossom lovers to at least order a tester of this, or opting for the little 6ml just for the experience of it - it's like all the bitterness and sharp edges have been rounded off, it's so interesting to experience!
