BCBGirls Metro

I haven't touched my bottle of Metro in years and totally forgot the smell - I just remembered that it was so different from any other perfume I ever owned that I wanted to preserve it just for reference. Wow! Such a bright energetic scent that never fails to put a smile on my face. A scent of happy youth...I'm not sure if my youth was all that happy, but when I smell "Metro" I am somehow convinced that it was. It's a happy perfume! Yuzu, to me, is a sweet and a tad spicy citrus. Unless it's apricot that gives the top notes delicate fruity sweetness. And I see now it has my magical favorite black currant note in it. I couldn't really tell it's there until I saw the pyramid, but I'm sure it gives the scent that hint of aromatic tartness that makes any scent - woody, sweet, fruity, floral or fresh - so nicely rounded.

Metro, Metro, Metro...... how I miss you and wish I could still find you! Metro was the first fragrance I ever fell in love with. I smelled it and I immediately knew I had to have it. A scent like oranges, like a freshly cut fir tree at Christmastime. It was incredible. The silage was perfect, the longevity was perfect- it was the perfect fragrance. I miss it so much. For a more grown up (and much more available) alternative I use Versace Bright Crystal. It's not the same but it's a nice scent. And for those who loved Metro, I think you'll appreciate Bright Crystal.

This was such a great and unique perfume. Very fresh and city vibes. I miss it and the whole line so much. My favorite were Star and Sexy by BCBGirls. Jil Sander Sport for Women is a very close dupe for it. I tried fragrance revival but had to return. I couldn't help them pinpoint the smell to be accurate. But it also was very weak and had no protection. Sadly. Bring them back I beg. It still has a great following. I think about these all the time and its been 20+ years. Perfumes with similar scent "Burberry Brit" and Michael Kors "Wonderlust"

Even though this is an older, discontinued fragrance, it is still my top compliment getter (from men exclusively). It's fresh with something...more to it. Anytime I wear this, I always have a man compliment it. It's not a 'sexy' fragrance, but definitely grabs attention.

Makes me sad that this was discontinued. It was an amazing perfume. I wore it all the time in HS. It dried down to the loveliest metallic on my skin that left me huffing myself like a weirdo in class.

Miss this so much! It's impossible to find now but I would do anything to find again. Strangely I smell blueberries but it's not listed as a note. It must just be me. They need to bring this back.

I just ordered an $18 sampler set. So far I've tries the nature which was still lovely as ever, and this. This did not age gracefully at all. Too bad.

Has a faint licorice note to it. Sadly its been discontinued.

this perfume was one of the first *real* fragrances i came across when i was younger. sad that it's been discontinued, it's still got a big fanbase. very unique blend of notes and i've yet to find something similar. i always thought it was more of a colder weather scent, but it could be nice during late spring/early summer.

I haven't seen this in ages other than my half bottle! Loved the woodsyness!

First comes the Yuzu and Sandalwood which is pleasant enough. Then comes Gardenia and... is that... Magnolia Leaf? I wouldn't know. Metro smells like it's name. (Which is true of every fragrance in this rather literal line.) It smells like a young urban trendsetter, cool and clean as she rides the subway on her way back home to her uber modern and not at all girly apartment. Crispy citrus isn't my favorite, but I'm still nostalgic for this line. Too bad Metro dries down on me to nearly as much pure grass as Nature does. I can't figure that out since the only notes they officially share in common are sandalwood and musk. Maybe there's something I don't know or maybe I've just held on to this perfume too long.

Dad bought it for me about a decade ago and it was the first scent I genuinely loved. Can anyone recommend something that smells like this?
