Just Musk

Just finished my first (50 ml) bottle of this. I've had it for about a year and a half? It's very uncomplicated - yes mostly but-not-JUST Musk. There's some noticeable wood in there and some flowery/lemony bits as well. Longevity is good, sillage moderate. On skin it works as quite a linear musk - but with a warm, blanket-y sort of character. It's a 'dense and dusty-musty' kind of musk, if that makes sense. That's not meant in a bad way! Nothing extraordinarily special but I love to use it for layering with other scents! It matches well with Tesori d'Oriente 'Hammam' for example. That's a bit too citrussy for me, and Just Musk really helps it get more warmth, depth and - obviously - muskiness! Definitely re-ordering a second bottle. Maybe even 100ml, as it's really cheap on allbeauty. Mind you, this is NOT a clean white musk, but I can totally recommend it to all the 'dirty' darker musk lovers :)

This wraps you up in a nice warm blanket. Gives me that, just stepped out of the shower feeling. I'm going to try layering it with other scents. I would imagine it would give a simple scent more depth. Over all a great fragrance, affordable too.

Sandalwood solinote. Dry, not creamy but still pleasant.

Lovely, warm and powdery, soapy musk..... soapy but not shampoo-like, I’m talking the finest bar soap kinda soapy! I find this is much closer to the warmth and sweetness of jovan musks, rather than wild musk and skin musk (my faves!). Just Musk has that clean skin and baby powder feel, very soft and gentle and slightly sweet. Such an amazing bargain. Less fruity and maybe more obviously floral than jovan but I could happily reach for either when in the mood for golden musk. It’s actually got a touch of a Nivea Creme scent now I come to think of it, which might be down to the rose and Iris. This is warmer and sweeter than Nivea though so I’m happy to have both this and the Nivea perfume! This one is pretty strong at first but it calms down and becomes beautifully soft. Very pretty indeed and definitely worth having if you love warm musks!
