Black Coffee

This is a lovely, sweet and cozy perfume. At first spray, it's a sweetish rose—slightly heady and not at all powdery—with some amber and musk. It's rich, warm, floral and subtly sweet. Around the third hour, it's still ambery rose water but somewhat warmer like a tonka bean kind of warm spice. I assume this may have been the coffee, but I can't be certain because I unfortunately could not distinguish a specific coffee note when I wore this. Something must be wrong with me because I can never smell the coffee when it's paired with a floral (like in this, New Haarlem, Arabican Rose, Coffee Break, or 1969). To my nose, it's very similar to Arabican Rose by Maison Tahite and Roses Vanille by Mancera, just a bit sweeter and without the fruitier aspects of either scent. In the middle stages, the rose begins to fade a bit when the vanilla starts to emerge around hour five. The vanilla is soft, sweet and a little powdery, while the musk and amber hold strong and keep it smooth. By the end of the wear, you're left with a cozy, ambery, vanilla scent. The sillage was moderate to strong and the longevity was amazing—I could easily smell it on my skin over 12 hours after applying. Overall, I really enjoyed this despite not being able to detect the coffee. It's a soft and beautiful rose scent, youthful but refined.

To be honest I smell this profume from a friend, and this is also my first review so be chill Said that, this is a similar profume to montale intense caffè but under steroids. The protection is amazing, the coffee is a sweet coffe, before knowing the profile I smelled more the vanilla and amber and almost a toasted Tonka bean smell, then I realised is coffe. The rose is an elegant floral addition that round the profume and make it more creamy and complete. For what I smell I didn't smell to much the musk and the aromatic notes, but, as I mentioned it was from a friend. The quality of the profume I think is exceptional with the performance better than montale intense caffè. Not suited for everyday use and office.

It doesn't smell like coffee but it does smell good. If you're looking for an actual coffee scent go elsewhere, but if you want a nice upbeat perfume that smells kind of smells like a nice mom, this one's for you.

A more refined, gentler iteration of Mancera Roses Vanille etc.

This is supposed to be Arabic coffee, which would be dark coffee with spice. I sense only Turkish rose.

I don't know why it's called "Black Coffee". I don't pick up the coffee note at all. The name threw me when I first sprayed this on my skin. But I will say, it's a beautifully blended rose/vanilla/woody amber scent. Not screechy, but somewhat loud. It's very dry; the rose is powdery and elegant. If you're looking for a coffee scent, there are better options that will satisfy your caffeine cravings. But if you're looking for a modern rose/vanilla scent definitely check this one out. EDIT: After a few wears, I find this scent a bit of a scrubber. The ambery molecule in this is turned up way too high and the amber accord comes across a little synthetic (like in an incense store).

If you’re expecting to smell like black coffee, tough luck — the name is misleading. But the good news is, it’s actually a beautiful perfume. It features a rich, deep balsamic rose blended with amber, and with coffee notes lingering in the background. It’s smooth, cozy, and surprisingly long-lasting! I love wearing it in winter. Overall, I’m thinking about getting a full bottle since it’s really grown on me. It’s a lovely scent, and not many people know about it, which I find even better.
