As the most older Mazzolari fragrances, Zagara is intense and bold, here as a play on summery orange blossom and other white florals, surrounded by a bitter citrusy freshness. The big cloud of creamy soapy musk plays with animalic undertones to enrich the character of the fragrance with a dusty vibe. The sales ladies at the Mazzolari stores in Milan sometimes recommend layering this with other Mazzolari fragrances. Zagara is luckily very unknown, so one is wearing something rare. It has a very classical and almost "dated" vibe compared to modern orange blossom fragrances, which I appreciate a lot. It has that certain old world and old money charm, which suits perfectly its velvety box and brown wooden furniture interior of the Mazzolari stores in Milan. Fragrantica is sadly not updating its database wit all the new Mazzolari fragrances, which has been launched in recent years.

In my opinion because of the spices included in this composition, this fragrance is suitable for both genders, men and women. A very nice refreshing summery scent. Orange blossom here is crisp with a slightly bitter edge. I found it long lasting on my skin, so different result to the previous reviewer.

This fragrance is incredible! Its great in spring and summer. Its light and gentle and perfectly balanced. I found it on sale in Vegas at the Bellagio & bought all they had, I loved it so much. I highly recommend it. Be lush with it. It hightens the senses and is yummy! Enjoy!
