Eau de Memo

My third purchased and reviewed Memo scent, and another Memo love at first sniff. This is a very light, delicate, clean and professional smelling citrus green scent. What I like is that the main notes are very easily identifiable and balanced. It’s strength is in the relatability to the ingredients. The opening is a sparkling fresh burst of lemon / bergamot zest, with the fresh green tea leaves following just a second later. A few minutes in, the citrus settles down, and the white floral jasmine reveals itself, backed by the other floral notes. The fresh green tea is present still. It’s important I feel to note that the green tea accord is more a plant like, fresh, green leafy note, rather than dried green tea leaves for drinking. Once the perfume dries down, the beautiful, delicate and subtle Memo style leather note arrives, supported by some deeper green accord (must be the moss note), which further intensifies the green and floral notes, adding richness. And again, the fresh green tea note is still present, as it has been throughout - the binding ingredient and note, bridging between the citrus, white flower and leather. This is such a tranquil and calming scent, yet it’s bright citrus notes are refreshing and energising. There is a real yin yang harmony here. The way the fresh green tea plant note binds everything together is amazing. The leather adds sophistication to this scent, elevating it far beyond any “freshy” scent I have experienced before. The quality of the product is high, as you would expect from Memo - from the packaging all the way through to the dry down of the perfume. Unisex. Spring / summer more, and daytime more. Lasts a decent amount of time, but it is by nature a very delicate scent, so I would say it’s quite close to the skin after 6 hours. Spray generously, you will not offend anyone. Fast becoming my second favourite scent of all time, after Memo Ocean Leather. Beautiful, peaceful and joyful.

To put it bluntly, this is like if you put a baggy of peeled clementines into a brand new leather bag and then walked past an auto body shop. And oh my GODDD it's SO GOOD. It delivers on its promises: citrusy and leathery with an airiness that prevents it from being too heavy, and the hint of floral and musk that keep it from coming off as cold. And yes, there's almost something reminiscent of gasoline to me, which I know isn't for everyone but is 1000% for me. It's soft, it's sensual, completely unisex and just... lovely. This could easily find itself in my top five. My only complaint would be that I wish the citrus notes lasted longer, it fades into mostly leather quite quickly--but it's not a big deal because I can imagine this would layer beautifully with almost any citrus scent (I have it on with an orange lotion and it helps those top notes shine). This isn't really in my price range at the moment (don't mind if you hear sobbing in the distance), and you can believe I'll be yearning after a full size until I get my hands on one.

I wore this for 5 years straight because no other fragrance so consistently brought me the joy that this one does. It's the perfect balance of fresh and elegant. Yes, it's citrus, green tea and expensive luggage. But it harmonizes those notes far more beautifully than any of its near cousins with similar notes. There is no season or time of day that doesn't feel right for this one. On the elephants: Yes, they do appear. It's a particular way the green tea and leather tilt their heads sometimes, seeming to morph into trodden hay and sun-warmed elephant skin. Oddly, this happened to me most often when spending a long time outside in weather that was both cold and humid. But even in that mode, it wasn't unpleasant. The only reason I no longer wear it is that I'm saving the precious last drops in my bottle. But I may just need to buy another bottle of this instead of waiting to find a suitable replacement for something so lovely.

FB worthy to me! My tea-scent quest led me to this gem. It is already available in Zurich so I could sample it...I am wowed by this leathery-refreshing tea perfume. Makes me feel confident, when I wear it. Refreshing bergamot-green-tea opening, slightly sweet but just a tiny bit. Might be the saffron but generally, I cannot detect it on my skin. After approx. 2-3h tea vibe disappears more and more and what remains is a sexy leather scent. It joins the opening already but the refreshing ice green-tea-burst wakes you up nicely before it settles down with the leathery note. Gorgeous and amazing longevity - especially for a tea scent! Loving the leather notes in this, which makes it very unisex. Sillage is moderate.

Holy smokes! I love this. Def different on paper than on my skin, but so gorgeous. Clean and fresh and sophisticated, with a healthy dose of classic Memo suedey leather. I feel like a different person with this on--and she's got her life together. Not soapy, just beautiful. Gentle. Unisex. Lovely. EDIT: I've worn this every single day since I got my sample. Longevity is crazyyyyy good, I smell great all day long. I smell expensive (probably because the FB is...) Wild how people will comment "It's basically Elizabeth Arden Green Tea" if tea leaves or green tea are in the notes of ANY fragrance. Just say you don't like green tea, and move on! This is lovely <3

Love love love ... beautiful fresh scent. A perfume not perfume. Keeps you fresh and sophisticated. Like a no make up make up look. I can smell it on me throughout the day so it’s very present without screaming or offending anyone that I am wearing perfume. It morphs with my own skin chemistry. I am in a journey to discover Memo Paris fragrances and so far Eau de Memo is my favourite from the house. Update: to be sure and sure this is the best. I don’t know what you put inside this bottle but for me It’s pure magic. . I just wanted to leave a love note to this House. 💛

Light airy citrus-white floral green tea in the opening that gives off sophisticated vibe. It has leather in the background, sitting quietly but noticeably throughout. It reminds me of the hotel lobby that is cold and modern and expensive, with white walls and high ceilings. My husband likes it everytime I wear it. Though women can pull it off, it’s not a feminine fragrance, it’s fresh and somehow professional. On the testing paper I couldn’t smell the leather note, but on cloth and skin it’s more prominent.

My first encounter with this beautiful scent was in Bari in a summer day, at the end of the day. After a sunny hot day, this was such a nice refresing perfume, but also mature. For me, i smell that beautiful green tea with that coriander and mandarine in the begining and after that, you start to smell the combination of jasmine, musk and iris plus that leather in the end. But, those flowers tend to make that leather note soft, not harsh at all, it is such well blended, perfect in the night in my opinion.

To me it smells like fresh citrus green tea AND leather all at the same time (I'd say like Chamois leather more specifically). The tea smell is rich and somewhat sweet, the leather is very sharp and even slightly bitter. The smell of leather is more fresh and crisp rather than musky, compared to a lot of other leather-fragrances I loved this smell, must be perfect for sping / summer if you like something fresh but more sopisticated than just citrus or fruity

At first I was so intrigued by the scent that I sprayed my jacket full with the tester of this on the store before I left. Plastic and cheapish elizabeth arden artificial green tea. If you google frutiger eco aesthetic, this smells like those pictures. At home I gagged. The next day I sniffed my jacket again and I got pretty nice citrus-floral blend and finally musk. In conclusion, more wearable on the drydown.

This is beyond stunning. Got this ssmple at NM when purchasing Trench by YSL , thought nothing of it whatsoever. I tried it about a week later and within seven days I bought a bottle retail, which is something I almost never do. How someone made a fragrance with green tea and leather smell so intoxicating is far beyond me. The compliments I get with this one are off the charts, this thing is stunning. 10/10

SO frustrating given the price: all the money seems to have gone into the opening notes, which on me, is a delicate balanced black tea / lemon / suede. Interesting and appealing. BUT, it quickly fades to stale wood with the faint air of spoiled milk. What were they thinking. My solution is to layer it over something with a better dry down.

So good so fresh. Crisp lemon and tea. And some other great stuff. I don’t find it leathery or smokey. TBH I am not into leather and memo. But this is one of the best citrus scent ever. But longevity wasn’t that good. It is expensive for that longevity. I blame it on its being a citrusy scent. 9/10

Citrus leather tea those sounds like they wouldn t work well together but they do it was a blind buy for me based on ratings and being seemingly underrated it is a beauty three days in and i have worn it every day now crisp lemon with leather and tea btw, this is super strong and lasts forever

someone wrote it reminds her of elephants and omg, exactly! it has that animalic, smell like elephants or horses have, oddly in a good way..its the leather note for sure. the tea and lemon note is also very prominent. this is a perfect summer scent, sophisticated and uplifting

A delightful little number this. How has no one mentioned this smells like Issey Miyake? Very similar no? Perhaps a more refined version but the DNA remains very close. A beautiful and vibrant citrus with elegance written all over it.

A beautyful light leather scent. Smells like a sexy person in a luxurious leather jacket drinking a fresh lemonade in the sunshine. Perfect for both women and men. One of the best scents I have tried for a long time! 9,5/10

This is so well blended. Each note seems to Segway into the other. It gives the impression you have smelled it before, but you haven't... Just smelled the individual notes in a different scent. We'll see about longevity

A really interesting scent in the opening its really citrusy but when it dries down it turns into a really pleasant leather scent with a bit of tea and bergamot

The more I smell it the more I love it. Smells sophisticated. Imagine getting inside a new car with leather seats with fresh citrus and green tea. I love it!

I loved the balance on this perfume, the leather in a summer scent that is genius. Fresh lemony scent.

After going through a bunch of the leather flankers, I spotted this odd looking horizontal bottle and decided to give it a chance. Why does no one ever mention this one? is what I thought upon smelling it. Realistic tart citrus in the top linked to a beautiful jasmine accord underneath enveloped in a mild green filter which over time evokes a slightly watery tea vibe, leading into a powdery leather dry down. The leather facets, powdery notes and jasmine are beautifully blended and smell like one and the same. The composition feels confluent and interesting, made with intent and vision and you can immediately tell the raw materials are top notch. Call me traditional if you will, but I much prefer fragrances that go for their own idea rather than trying to follow a certain theme, like the leather series (French, Moroccan, Irish, Iberian or whatever) that feel more like choosing a ride at a theme park and must be a bit dull for the perfumer behind it that is trying to reproduce a stereotype of sorts. Eau de Memo actually feels like the work of someone interested in making a solid citrus scent and at that they have succeeded in my book.

I can understand the confusion on this one. The bottle looks feminine and it seemed to be marketed more towards women for some reason. But it is a solid unisex fragrance. It's a leather punch in your face out of the gate...then the tea says "wait a minute, I'm here, too!" The balance between the leather and tea are perplexing, but seem to work. As it settles, the citrus and floral notes barely peak through...but this is definitely a tea-lovers fragrance, as long as you're ok with it having a woody/leathery accord. It reminds me of Roan Mountain Memories. I'd pick Roan over this one, as Roan is a little brighter, the tea notes are stronger than the leather notes and just seems more interesting. This one is pretty two-dimensional...tea and leather. Not a safe blind buy...try it first. FragranceNet has it available for travel size to test (as of this writing). In the end, I like it...but I already own Roan and I'd rather just use that as my tea-heavy fragrance. A travel size of Memo is nice to have, but it's not bottle-worthy.

A surprise. My nose has fooled me. I was at the store (where I got Madurai) and smelled this right as I was leaving. It left a more or less vetiver-ish fresh impression, so when I arrived home, I decided to order it without checking anything. It is DIFFERENT. At first, it gave me a Wulong Cha vibe with all that fresh tea and bergamot (citrics). Then came an unexpected accord. The fresh and clean scent made way to a wild animalic and noticable leather heart and a strong musky base. It made me recoil at first, but then I realized that I am enjoying it. Last time I've felt this was when I tried some of the fresher scents by Zoologist. The musk settles, the leather calms down and leaves a nice and natural scent trail, blending well with your skin. I need to wear it more so I can give it my appreciation. 7/10, nice

The opening is very green tea and citrus forward. More bergamot than mandarin. It almost immediately settles into a soft and fresh leather scent. More like a new leather couch/bag than suede, as it's floral and powdery. Through the first hour, you get a nice play between the green tea, jasmine and leather with the warmth and coziness of the musk. It is very clean. For me, after settling down, it reminds of a softer TF Ombre Leather EDT but more feminine, easy going and refreshing. I don't get the Wulong Cha comparisons. I do get the "Zoo Smell" accusations. Nice, but not very special or groundbreaking. Easy to wear, to a cafe in the spring ,a summer picnic in the grass or even to the office. Longevity: around 4-5, became a skin scent after the first few, completely gone after 8 hours.

Oh, this is like LEATHER leather. Smells like the handbag section of a department store: luxurious new purses and wallets with an underlayer of citrusy cleaner and the blended smog of the makeup and perfume counters in the far background. If you have positive shopping-type associations with all that, you’ll be transported. The citrus and tea work, too. I love the artistry but can’t see wearing this too often myself. Despite the Mall imagery it conjures up for me it’s still masculine, manly-clean, for a fashionable and aftershave-y guy who might have called himself “metrosexual” in 2002. Of course, it’s 2023 and this cool little number could work for anyone; I’m just partial to feminine florals.

Eau de Memo is a surprisingly nice scent, if a little derivative. Upon first spray it’s got the instantly recognisable DNA of CK One: sharp citrus, tea and synthetic musks. I find myself enjoying it a fair amount, mainly because I already love CK One. It’s not a 1:1 clone, as it does have a greener, woodier almost coniferous facet, along with added sweetness. But the building blocks of CK One are all there, with added leather and a heightened presence of tea. It’s very nice actually. Considering the similarities and difference in price, I will be sticking to CK One, but I’ll definitely enjoy wearing my sample.

I think this perfume classifies as a freshie cos of the green tea note. For a freshie, it has decent lasting power. It's a hotel lobby / spa scent. Occasionally, there was something fruity/juicy poking through, which might have been the bergamot or lemon. I forgot what notes were in this perfume when I wore it and it did not remind me of leather at all all day (despite the comment section here). It's a very likeable scent, but not a love for me

I love the citrus, spicy and green notes. The leather comes though at the drydown and it remains pleasant throughout. This fun fragrance is perfect for the spring and summer and maybe even autumn. It works well during the daytime, and you can get a good 4 hours out of it. It has a fairly high price tag though, so you will be doing yourself a favour by purchasing from a discounter. I still think it is well worth the price. Rating 8/10

Leather and tea, sounds like a strange combination but it works here. Bergamot and lemon joins forces in the opening, giving that strong burst of citrus. Once it settles, leather and soft green tea will emerge. At this stage, i would say leather is the main dominance, which stays mostly throughout its life. Towards the end, leather will be gone, just left with some light tea scent. A good release overall from memo.

Its like walking through a Boot Barn that had a tea shop in the middle of it. Didnt like it at first but it definitely grew on me and now I think I love it.. Have to wear it some more to be sure. But if you like a realistic leather scent mixed in with some nice, fresh, citrusy and airy tea, you'd like this one. 8.5/10

Yes, the initial spray is kind of like Elizabeth Ardens Green Tea, but the hint of leather in the background makes it just so unique and lovely! For a tea fragrance lover I think you should give this one a try. Citrusy green tea + suedish leather? Sounds super funky but the outcome is actually mesmerizing!

Soft and suede-like leather soaked in bergamot & lemon green tea. Very pretty, sophisticated, and leans powdery. Blooms on skin, lasts quite well on clothes. My little sample is still going strong into the evening. Best suited for warm/hot weather, nice & refreshing.

100% unisex to my opinion, perfect for spring and summer. It is a good mixture of tea and bergamote with a small touch of leather (but not so present). Very fresh, for all the age, open space compatible, do not blind buy. 7/10

The opening is amazing, but after a while it starts to lean a bit too gentlemanly for my taste. I use it to layer with the more feminine-leaning Passage d’Enfer — they create a beautiful, elegant balance :)

Lovely leathery citrusy tea scent. Soft and nonintrusive. On clothing it lasted me over 8 hrs.

Eau de Memo to me is unfinished sketch. Enter strokes of green tea, tannic and quietly bitter, brushed over suede and leather in soft, tentative swaths. Not the rich, lived-in leather of old libraries and worn satchels, but something thinner. More perfunctory. As if the suede is being seen through foggy glass, texture never sharpening. Smoke drifts in slowly over a mossy base that leans green, sure, but lacks the snap and crispness of oakmoss in its prime. Instead, it’s murky. As if the forest floor was waterlogged. Following the presence of a green tea accord, I hypothesised that the jasmine here would be more prominent. Well, premise wrong. Theory wrong. The jasmine... or, something jasmine adjacent, reads musky and slick. Not the luminous narcotic bloom, not the honeyed weight of sambac, nor the crisp floral bite of grandiflorum. This is jasmine filtered through and through again with skin oil, residue rather than bloom. That's the theme, honestly: the whole thing is slippery. Conceptually intriguing, but executed in not more than a liminal space between aromatic and animalic, fresh and oily, abstract and grounded. A pale blur of ideas, overcast and unresolved. A scent that haunts its own ambition, muddy and just disappointingly ghostly. A first-draft-thing rather than a manifesto. For a scent that names itself after the house, whereeeee is the clarity? Direction? Signature??? Sigh. Beautiful ingredients with clipped wings.

I loved at the first sniff, tried on my wrists at the airport and I decided to get a full bottle as I was looking for a tea fragrance which has a good longevity and little complexity however, the accord with jasmine makes me a little sickening, unfortunately. Nevertheless, on a daytime to wear at workplace I sometimes put this scent on as I initially wanted to, and it gets more skin scent soon and smells balanced as I’m actively doing something in outside I enjoyed the moderate scent. Hope I can get used to Memo Paris jasmine’s scent as I also have a mini bottle of “Madurai” is a bit suffocating of strong jasmine appealing scent.

Today I’m testing Eau de Memo by Memo Paris, a sample I received with a recent purchase. The opening positively sparkles with bergamot, before green tea moves to the forefront. At this stage, it reminds me of Assam of India by Berdoues. I don’t detect any floral notes at all. There is, however, a leather accord that brings to mind the interior of a new car. The combination of leather, citrus and tea is very interesting. In the final stage, iris comes through. I’d say the longevity is around five hours, and the projection sits fairly close to the skin. It’s a pleasant composition, though I wouldn’t call it groundbreaking.

Beautiful juicy-sweet-creamy citrus kicks of the experience. A fragrance in which the 'Leather' dissipates before the 'Tea' accord herein, which hangs around for eternity, yet nothing exceptional for the price. On using past sundown I found the fragrance lean feminine, thereby limiting the versatility of the already uni-seasonal scent. Instagram: @scentsperience

Opening is extremely gorgeous and reminds me a lot of Wulong Cha Extrait. After three to four hours, it becomes less tea and the iris takes the spotlight. It turns as a beautiful freshies to a soapy/powdery scent. If you like soapy and powdery iris, you'll love it. As for me, not my cup of tea (pun intended) and I don't think I'd wear it again

A new car smell with greentea spilled on its carseat. If you're into new car smell, this might be the it scent for you.
