Granada

It took me a while to think about what I thought of this perfume and a few wears too, but I think that I love this fragrance on me. It is just the right amount of sweet and it is very white floral, which I love. The grenadine is a little bit too sweet for the first 15 minutes or so, but this calms down pretty fast and then I smell more of the lovely and fresh orange blossom and an only slightly indolic jasmine that is sweet and feminine. I smell some powdery heliotrope too, but not as much as the white florals in this composition. I can smell the vanilla, the tonka bean and the musk in that order of prominence, but none of the woody notes though. But this is my preference honestly, since I do not like woody perfumes at all and they give me headaches. Granada is definitely a vanilic white floral, with just a touch of fruitiness that doesn't go into the gourmand or fruity floral categories thankfully. I think that this perfume would work for either spring or summer wear during the day and that it could suit any woman from the ages of 20 to 45. It is a sunny fragrance that is happy, joyous and perfect to bring along for a summer vacation. I honestly don't think that this perfume could or would offend anyone. Granada by Memo's wear time was about 8 and a half hours on me and it had an arm's length projection. Granada does indeed remind me of an even more white floral version of Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier, but it doesn't remind me of Safanad by Parfums de Marly thankfully. Safanad is more of a very sweet fruity floral to me and gives me headaches, so it is great that Granada doesn't smell like that! Because of all of the above, I'd give Granada by Memo an 8.2/10.

I've found it at last!!!!!!!! The perfect white floral. It makes me want to sing on top of mountains and ring gongs through canyonlands! The perfection in the jasmine here lies not in the jasmine itself, but in everything else brought together to support it. For me, that is primarily tonka - it provides a warmth and headiness that jasmine flowers have on the bush but that somehow manage to disappear when jasmine oil is extracted for perfume. When you walk past a jasmine bush, try to think about the "texture" of what you're smelling. Is it clean and sleek? Is it soapy? For me, the jasmine bushes that made me fall in love with jasmine smelled thick, lush, and velvety. They have a milky creaminess that just disappears during extraction. Here, the tonka brings back that heavy warm sweetess, and makes me just want to sink in it and be enveloped in its velvet forever and ever and ever. And ever. The first time I sprayed this, I was watching a film that took place in Egypt, and the imagery in the film combined with the smell of this perfume just transported me into some kind of lala land filled with ancient pyramids, Islamic architecture, palm trees, warmth -- all of those things we picture as the romantic Egypt. Needless to say, the perfume is, in fact, called "Granada," and it is no coincidence that when I wear it, my mind is also filled with imagery of Granada, the beautiful geometric designs of the Alhambra (more Islamic architecture), the trees blooming with orange blossoms, the water flowing through the gardens, again more palms and more warmth. Really a transplanting fragrance.

I have plenty of white florals, and jasmine/orange blossom combinations. This one, however, has a special twist to it. First, it opens with a bright bergamot that has an "lime-y" zest. The jasmine and orange blossom are almost in competition with one another for the stage, but it isn't conflicting. You can detect both without necessarily deciding which is more dominant. I appreciate that it also has a vanilla and ambery dry down. This rounds off and grounds the "sharpness" of the white florals. My husband found is so feminine and really loved it. It is soft and inoffensive, I can probably wear it in the office or for an intimate special event like a baby shower or a luncheon. It would be amazing if this also had the body cream (I haven't searched for it, and perhaps it exists). Again, ultra feminine. Nothing I find particularly ground breaking in terms of uniqueness, but it is a white elegant floral done very well.

I ordered a 5ml sample of this and had very high hopes based on the notes and the hype online. Upon first testing this, I was disappointed. It was a unique Jasmine and orange blossom combo, but it just didn’t give me that ‘wow’ moment that I’d expect from a fragrance worth over £200. However, as the days wore on I found myself repeatedly going back to the sample. This is a strong fragrance and very long-lasting on clothes. It is bright, but not thin and airy like many fresh fragrances. It is gorgeous and has grown on me to the point that I am avidly hunting for a bargain on this lovely white floral. Definitely not a safe blind-buy and probably not worth £225 for 75ml, but I do recommend you try this if you enjoy heady white florals.

I wore a decant of this around Spain, Italy and the mediterranean last month. I ran out just before the end of the trip, and when I got home I had to buy a bottle. The orange blossom is so realistic that I am transported back to Seville or Sorrento where the orange trees grow in the main streets. There is jasmine in it as well and I do love jasmine, but I really just get a strong, sweetened orange blossom. It is surprisingly long lasting on me, though it is a moderate projection. I wore it a few days ago on a sunny winter's day, but I think it will do best in the other 3 seasons. To me this is feminine but I know that is subjective. I will need this in my collection forever !

"Memo Granada" is similar to "Mon Precieux Nectar" de Guerlain with the difference that the sillage of Granada is much better. “Granada” has more quality and Guerlain's Mon Precieux Nectar more like the name. But many people go for the brand and are blinded by the name. Granada is from 2011 MPN from 2012 Besides that, Granada is very sophisticated utterly feminin and sexy. It has the vibe of an early morning in the Alhambra where you are surrounded by an intoxicating scent of Orange Blossom and Jasmine... fresh marzipan and vanilla cookies are baked and you think with nostalgia of the fantastic night with your great love ;-)

"Granada" is a bottled femininity and sensuality. It's absolutely gorgeous, I have no words how swooned I was from the first sniff. The start is lovely orange blossom with enormous yet elegant enough sweetness from heliotrope, BUT what I love the most is the dry down - such a sensual mix of jasmine, vanilla and musk - simply perfect, it has some dirty qualities, but it stays very feminine all the time. Absolutely wonderful, excellent staying power, elegant silage, I'll surely need a bottle of this. Hunt down a sample if you look for a feminine and sexy sweet/dark scent that also is very elegant and versatile.

I'm in love with this scent! At first smell it starts with a very intensive floral note, reminds me of white flowers, spring... Later,on the skin,the floral note become less intense and turns into a special and strange mix of sweeter notes, can't define exactly. The whole is not too sweet or vanilla (I don't love the scents that become too heavy, don't like the candy effect on the skin) I love the olfactory complexity of Memo parfums, I like to find so many things inside the scent .... Granada is one of my favorite fragrances and I don't get tired of wearing it! Very good persistence!

Well knock me over with a feather! This is some delicious jasmine. Jasmine and grenadine syrup, somehow without being too sweet. Fun evening al fresco cocktails with classy girlfriends who have been long overdue for a night out together. Then warming down to some smoky tonka and a touch of silky heliotrope as the big girls wind down instead of going all night -- the type who know that they have to get home early to get up for work the next day. Grenada is sophisticatedly flirty without being sexually overt or too serious. Big joyful floral love!

Granada is a sexy and sophisticated white floral with an almost gourmand dimension. It opens with a juicy burst of orange blossom and jasmine, but they're enveloped by toothsome tonka and the fluffy toasted almond scent of heliotrope. A splash of tart grenadine cuts through any potential powder, and the whole composition blooms into a delectably warm floral-gourmand nectar. It’s like finding the perfect little white dress - one that hugs your body in all the right places like a comfortable second skin.

I’ve grown to absolutely love this fragrance and it’s become a go-to comforting, soothing scent. As others have noted the Memo website lists pomegranate; what I get is mainly orange blossom and jasmine which turns quite powdery - I love it. The sillage is moderate and the longevity amazing - lasts 6+ hours on skin (unusual for me).

When I first smelt that perfume I literally almost saw little hummingbirds sipping honeyed nectar from gorgeous flowers in some tropical island. This is sweet, sweeeet realistic jasmine-pomegranate syrup with a kiss from orange blossom. One of the most feminine and enchanting white flower perfumes ever created!

Strongly jasmine, has a lot of heliotrope and vanilla with just hints of orange blossom. Sweet yes, has that heap of perfume-y ness but wearable. Dries down beautifully. (just incase anyone is wondering about the note grenadine - it is a sweet yet tart syrup made from pomegranates)

I love this! It's a less sweet version of a lot of other popular orange blossom and marshmallow or vanilla scents. Much fresher and refreshing! I find LDBS and Oriana to be on the sickly sweet side but this one has the bergamot and grenadine to balance things out.

Gorgeous, effusive, soapy white floral with the texture of marshmallows. One of the very few I may actually use up and need to replace in my large collection.

Honeyed flower nectar, not too sweet, natural smelling, narcotic. Maybe a little classic, but I love how the sweetness is presented here.

To me, this is a true female jasmine scent. It reminds me of jasmine oily I bought in Morocco. I cannot smell any other note, though, based on stated, it could be a more lighter, fruity fragrance that ends with tonka and vanilla. When you apply it, it’s very strong jasmine, and then settles to white jasmine. I wouldn’t say it’s a white floral scent because this jasmine scent is quite strong and kind of offensive. To me, it brings memories of Morocco, suk, orange buildings, sand, camels, small stands selling aromatics and spices. It isn’t a blind buy but if you are into jasmine, slight oriental and are not afraid of strong events, it may work for you. To me, Mugler Alien has definitely jasmine from another dimension and this one is like true jasmine, while Mugler’s is really feminine and pretty. I get around 7 h of wear time (I thought Niche perfumes were beasts, like Mancera), and silage is pretty intense. If you don’t put your nose on the place where you’ve applied it, you cannot detect it really. It is not office friendly but for any other occasion it’s nice. It’s not a true evening scent, and doesn’t sound (smell) like a signature scent, either. It’s not powdery, white or sweet. But it’s nice to have it in the collection, to reminiscent of a place I visited long ago.

hm not bad at all. The opening and first half an hour is oddly familiar with all that orange blossom going on, which I do like (have various bottles of orange-blossom frags). So at this stage of Granada, I thought the ones I own, are just as lovely and come at the fraction of the price. Anyhoo, Granada does turn into a white-floral, and on me, it's on the heavy side. The musk and vanilla becomes more and more intensive. This one is a solid scent, but when it comes to heady, mature and domineering white flowers, I'll stick to my Isabey Fleur Nocturne, which I find more special. Just about the reviews, not sure we're smelling the same frag... I own and like heavy frags and this is also very heavy and also very persistent on me...which should be in this price range. Now, generally speaking, Memo fragrances are not bad, it's just every time I smell them, I find they are not as special as one would expect in this price range (well many houses imho but that's a story for another day). Any now just to be petty, I think their bottles looks cheap for the range as well.

I love the opening top notes but the heart and dry down are a bit of a let down and even sour like crab grass on my skin even if I can barely smell it. I had such high hopes and wanted it for so long. I am hoping to try it in the Summer and reevaluate how I feel. I am the rare one though. Most people love it and these are people whose taste I highly respect. **** I am editing my original review because I tried it again and I liked it much better than when I first got my big bottle and more like when I tried my small sample. I have heard the fragrances sometimes get funky after they are subjected to shipping and I wondered if that was why I disliked it. I will write more next time I try it. Also I am moody because of the Coronavirus.

Sprayed and was instantly struck with the strongest nostalgia! No idea what jasmine-scented soap or fragrance I had in my youth that would've inspired that feeling. Initial scent is a true jasmine and orange blossom, with a lovely dry down into smooth rice paper-y delicate florals. Definitely sunny warmth to this one, light but complex and gets better as the day goes on. Pleasantly surprised! EDIT: French restaurant in my hometown served a version of a Shirley Temple on the kid's menu, using jasmine syrup instead of grenadine. The Collins glass always had a fat slice of orange submerged in the drink. Granada by Memo Paris is exactly this! Effervescent, nostalgic, bright, sweet, childlike, feminine, calming. Loved it.

Was REALLY looking forward to sampling this fragrance, given all the hype it receives. Perfume performs exactly as I imagined, given the listed notes and ingredients. A nice enough, pretty, feminine, floral-forward fragrance. Lots of lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, heliotrope, orange blossom and (I think) tuberose in the opening. Morphs into a floral fragrance with jasmine, amber, vanilla and woody base notes. Not as heavily resinous as other Memo-Paris fragrances. Longevity is average at 2-3 hours. Silage is moderate. A lighter version of Creed's Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie. Nothing ground-breaking. A nice fragrance that I've smelled many times before.

The opening on this gem smells like summer vacation. Sweet rum drinks, straw hats and white sundresses. The grenadine is just so fun but it only hangs around prominently for an hour or so before settling to really nice soap on my skin--sweet floral soap. I'm pretty sure I still need a full bottle because I would love for this frag to have a beautiful scent memory attached to it. Not to mention I've been circling this scent for over a year now and finally ordered a decant. I like the cleanliness of it for a hot weather vacation and as others have mentioned, it is enchanting and transportative.

A lovely fellow fragrantican sent me a sample of this and my first thought was “mmm smells good, but eh.” But then I couldn’t stop using the sample, I even wear it at night. The jasmine and orange blossom are so beautiful and calming and somewhat creamy—the whole thing reminds me of the scent of Hawaii. The scent after I wake up has changed but it’s just as beautiful, if not intoxicating. The first morning I had it on (after spraying the night before) I kept smelling such a beautiful, musky (?) floral smell and realized it was Granada on me! Anyway, I bought a full bottle haha.

It starts off with the kick of a slightly honeyed orange blossom scent, which slowly fuses in with the jasmine that is blended into a soft, fuzzy cloud-like texture. It's not a completely airy scent as the florals have some weight to them, although, it does have a rather fluffy texture. The white floral scents are wrapped up by soft and fuzzy powdery vibes, with none of the typical heady "powder-like" smells, which I love about it. Granada makes me feel like a very mature and well put together person every time I wear it. If I'm not like that, at least I can smell the part :D

The opening is mainly orange blossom with some citrus. There is an underlying sweetness but it's balanced by a more realistic take on floral (verging on heady but not too indolic) so it's not syrupy to my nose. Gives off a nectar vibe which is unique compared to other orange blossom scents I've tested. The drydown is a tonka musk with a hint of a woodsy vibe. I tested on a cool fall day and this feels like something better suited for warm weather. Definitely best suited for white floral lovers- I'm going to set this aside to retest when it gets warm again.

It's a balmy jasmine on my skin. It's nice, but doesn't smell very youthful, which could be partly due to the certain heaviness of the flowers. I would have expected a more edgy and better balanced take on jasmine from a niche house of this price range. It could also be that this just happens to work best in a hot country, and preferably in the evening time, or something. EDIT: After +1 hour on the skin, it actually gets a lot better (as in youthful/fresh/"thinner" in a good sense). Still, not seeing this quite as a signature scent for myself.

First impressions on paper: This kind of smells like love tuberose by amouage but less creamy and more sunscreen, and more baby powder. Edit 1: On skin I still feel the same way about it. It’s a like, but not a love for me. I do get tuberose eventhough there’s no tuberose. There’s nothing special about this one at all for me. Edit 2: Omg HOLD UP I’m doing a 180 on this, could this be my signature . I underestimated this one for sure. oooo. This is sweet and fluffy, clean indolic jasmine with a hearty amount of tonka. My goodness this is good.

Ultra feminine and gorgeous jasmine and orange blossom scent. Very unique and a delight for those who like white floral scents. The most prominent note is that of jasmine which is accompanied by a honey-sweet accord in the opening (must be the grenadine) which turns sour as it dries down. I took a walk across the river yesterday and it made me feel super feminine. and expensive smelling. I really like it. It lasts around 6-7h but I certainly over spray it. Can’t tell about the sillage yet but i’ll update soon!

I really wanted to love this. I do love me a vanilla-jasmine combination. And the jasmine here is powerful and heady. But the composition skews too sweet and soapy for my preference. That being said, it is a lovely fragrance, and I keep coming back to sniff my arm to inhale the white floral cloud, which has a pleasant tinge of powderiness. The drydown, on my skin, is a bit disappointing -- a barely-there nondescript tonka and musk.

This is maybe not breaking any new ground but it's very pretty. My only complaint might be, as others have said, that it's a bit similar to other white florals I have. It's sweet, it's very fluffy while not going full on marshmallow. Is it rocking my world? Do I need it in my collection? I don't know yet but it is a solid "like" for me and I would recommend trying this if you like orange blossom and jasmine.

To me, Granada's first touch on the skin smells like a sweet, fresh burst of white flowers. Then within seconds, it becomes baby powder. A sophisticated, creamy, elegant baby powder. Sensuality with almost gourmand qualities? I didn't get any of that. A friend of mine loves wearing baby powder scents. She's a pediatrician who practices ballet in her spare time. Now that's what I picture this scent as.

This is sweeter than I normally like, but the orange blossom and jasmine are blended so beautifully, I can't help but enjoy it. It opens with a very intense orange blossom, but as it dries down, it turns into an amazing sweet, effervescent floral. It seems to almost jump off your skin in a fuzzy little cloud! I can imagine a spring bride wearing this on her wedding day - enchanting and memorable.

When I first tested it, I swooned. I bought a big bottle too soon in the store where I tested it after an hour, and now I'm just not sure. Need to revisit, but it may turn on me. So sad. I loved the idea of it. A French and Irish couple. I dance Flamenco, Granada, want so much to love it. I really hope it's a goer. May want to trade, we'll see...

Strong fresh jasmine scent. Combined with vanilla and tonka this became really sweet. If you’re into sweet perfume, this will be for you. Didn’t seem to find the namesake grenadine at all. Edit. At nine hrs mark, the skin spray was gone. At 11hrs mark, the clothing spray was a vague skin scent which still vaguely projecting.

Sweet orange blossom and jasmine scent overall. I get vanilla all the way through. Spring scent for me since I feel like it would be too sweet for a very hot summer day,

I tried. I really did. I wanted it work on me so bad, but sadly it is my bottle you see for sale now on EBay.

Today, I layered this on top of Kuumba Made’s Persian Garden. Huge white florals! Really gorgeous combo!

Very good! Floral, yes but I think unisex, it's not invasive and heavy but very balanced. For all.

To me it's all tuberose with a vanilla base from beginning to end. Way too sweet for me.

Where as Flam is a jasmine-amber pairing reminiscent of Mugler's Alien, this is jasmine is more akin to the pure essential oil. Without the warmth of the amber, it is a slightly cooler and more dominant jasmine. There is the true smell of a natural white flower here, as it is unopposed by any other note in the fragrance. Personally, Flam is more my speed because I would take my jasmine with amber any day! However, if amber bothers you or comes off too dirty, then Granada will be a better alternative for a jasmine lover. Deeper in the dry-down, the orange blossom adds even more of that "natural white flower" touch... like truly being in a garden of white flowers. Again, pure white flowers aren't my thing (I like them dirty, haha), but it is a beautiful fragrance! UPDATE: Suuuuuuuper deep into the dry-down I get what almost smells like... a teeny tiny bit of... sunblock? No idea where that is coming from. Wonder if anyone else picks that up.

I’m wearing Granada by Memo today, and it does remind me of several other perfumes including Safanad. Dry down is nice, a powdery jasmine and orange flower. I can imagine this working on a wide swath of people, offensive to no one. That said, I am not particularly excited by the scent. And I agree with a reviewer below, that the glued on metal front designs feel cheap (thought they look great in photography). Between a like and ok.

this starts with orange blossom, jasmine, musk and heliotrope. a touch of grenadine and a lot of tonka comes in later. there is something softly spicy in here that reminds me of star anise. i noticed JPG classique in the 'reminds me of' category and that's it-i haven't worn classique in years, but this smells like a somewhat softer version of it, if memory serves.

Slightly spiced almond baby powder with woody and tonka notes. I feel like I need to spritz over it with marshmallow to find the sweetness others have mentioned. It’s very dry. It reminds me more of a powdery Classique rather than the sweet marshmallowy Safanad. It’s ok, but will need to test it in cooler weather to see if the powdery-ness dissipates.

I dont understand why they compare this to PDM Safanad which is an orange blossom and sandalwood bomb. This fragrance is extremely soapy. Almost smells like Ajax. I'm so disappointed in this purchase.

Very sweet, a lot of jasmin. Warm and safe scent. It radiates maturity, not youthful. It's not my cup of tea, but I totally understand why this perfume is much loved, it's very pleasant.

Grenadine isn’t actually listed in the notes on the Memo Paris website. Pomegranate is listed instead. Fragrantica gets the notes wrong too often.

A toned down JPG Classique. Less screechy but still a bit to much sunscreen vibes for me.
