Ithaque

A more mass appealing fragrance offering from Memo. Perfect for summer. This has the juiciness of Dolce Gabanna Light Blue Forever, the zingy citron like citrus and woodsy notes reminiscent of Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree and the creamy/soft lactonic quality in Initio's Musk Therapy. One of my favorite new pickups this year. There isnt anything really off-putting in this, its just so pleasant. Average projection, sits close to the skin so in terms of performance it isnt spectacular but it isnt a poor performer either. Very glad I picked this up. Found it at Neimans - not online yet as of May '23. EDIT: Great sillage and longevity. Its a terrific summer scent. I was trying this for the first time after purchasing and after spraying it on a Polo, went anosmic to it. I wasnt able to wash it before wearing it a second time on a trip and was wondering why the Polo smelled so good - it was this fragrance. Certainly addictive. This and Sicilian Leather are favorite Summer Memo's.

The best way I can describe this is that it smells like Sedley and Galloway and Castley combined, maybe leaning more to Galloway and Castley, but moreso the fresher and lighter aspects of the two. Ive only smelled Speed Legends off a tester and I ADORED that fragrance; but unless it smells very different off skin, I dont feel like Ithaque smells TOO much like it.. Speed Legends seemed to hit with more of a woody punch, which admittedly I prefer to Ithaque (by a lot) But Ithaque itself on first impression is an excellent spring/summer option that smells familiar enough to PDMs that I love but also different enough that its far from redundant (as a collector). My girlfriend also loves it, so theres that.

Very fresh, but not at all boring and expected! Citrusy with a pleasant woody-spicy bitterness, so well blended! I smelled it in a store on my skin as well as paper, and athough I liked it, I was originally underwhelmed and thought I preferred another bergamot-forward fragrance. I took the scented paper home with me, and just couldn't believe how addicted I ended up being to this perfume! The other perfume I still liked as it was super balanced and fresh to my nose, it was also just super predictable. Ithaque, however, showed its true unique colours. I have never smelled anything similar. It is pricey, so I did not immediately run to get a full bottle, but it is pretty high on my wish list now.

Ithaque is a luminous journey. From the opening, the burst of bitter orange and bergamot hits like a sea breeze crashing onto the Greek coastline. As it settles on the skin, it unveils a warm, resinous, and woody countryside drenched in Mediterranean sun. It feels noble, vibrant, and sun-soaked. It performs brilliantly in hot weather- even during intense heatwaves, it brought me a welcome wave of freshness without ever feeling heavy or cloying, and the longevity was impressive. My only small regret: the promised raspberry remains completely invisible to my nose, overshadowed by the lively citrus and blackcurrant. Still, a magnificent fragrance for warm weather.

To me this smells green and refreshing. It’s like seeing a big fresh lush green field from the ship. This conveys a feeling of fresh air and open space while sailing by an island with a lush green field on a warm, sunny, non-windy morning. Although there is nothing aquatic about this fragrance, I can almost hear the sound of water splashing against the ship. This is a love for me. But I’m a big fan of the house of Memo and I love almost all of their fragrances.

This will be my next Memo purchase for sure. It’s fresh with a lot of depth. The citrus notes are blended exceptionally well. Very sophisticated fragrance. Kind of shocked at the low rating because this is a beautiful fragrance. UPDATE: I purchased a FB and I'm enjoying every bit of it. Such an amazing addition to my collection,

I love this one from Memo! This is a very different, unique citrus based scent. I haven't smelled anything like it. It feels like was made specifically for white shirts, Aperol spritzes, and coastal air. Very original. Well crafted. Long lasting. Totally masculine. Girlfriend approved. Get your nose on this!

Lasts and projects decently long. It’s non-offensive which i really enjoy using for everyday activities. When i tried smelling it first on paper it reminded me of some soap i use for my dog. Smelling on skin was way better for me and im definitely wearing it when the summer starts. Excellent fragrance

loved the scent when i first smelt it, pretty much bought it instantly and i have to say, idk if it’s my skin chemistry or what, this thing LASTS. sprayed four times and did sports afterwards in scorching heat, took a shower, and slept afterwards... woke up and i could still smell it on me!

Smells very much like a lighter Bvlgari Aqva Amara. I like it. But I don't know why. Went in on a bottle, because there is something interesting to me about it. I like wearing it. No one has yet told me that it smells like a women's fragrance, so that's a plus.

Absolutely worth the blind buy! The citrus and spice opening is phenomenal and the dry down with the jasmine note is a nice touch and is not too overpowering which helps strike a balance for guys who do not like too much florals in their fragrances. 10/10!

Bitter portakal ve ardıçın verdiği hissiyatı çok beğendim. Normalde meyveli diyebileceğimiz parfümleri pek sevmem ama bu baya başarılı olmuş. Ardıç parfüme girince çok güzel bir hava katıyor. Yaz hissiyatını güzel hissettiren parfümlerden. 8.5/10

Smells like memos take on diptyque orpheon, but with a strong mandarin note at the start. Very peppery and mandarin heavy, I have to be in a certain mood to wear it but when I do wear it I love it. Plus I've gotten multiple compliments with it.

Today, I tested five juniper berry note perfumes all over my arms. And I worked out for almost 2hours. Of course, I sweated a lot. And when I got home, only this perfume's smell is still alive. smell is also still goood.

I tried this fragrance yesterday. This is soooo beautiful. I think it is one of the best green fresh fragrances I have smelled this year. It lasts almost 9 to 10 hours and this would get you thousands of compliments.

Long lasting very unique fresh fragrance i layer this with winter palace and it works relly good easily one of my top fresh everyday fragrance which last almost whole day and prijects well

an extremely beautiful perfume by all means, the opening is out of this world. it brings calm, serenity and different level of luxury. Highly recommended for summer season. Over all 9/10

Love Ithaque but having tried YSL Myslf Absolu, when I run out of this juice I think I could get away with that juice. If you like this, give that YSL a shot!

Really lovely citrus that shines in hot weather. Lasts surprisingly long compared to other citrus heavy fragrances. Can smell it all day in 30c+ weather.

I was so close to picking up Pacific Chill from LV but then stumbled across this! Half the price and is amazingly fresh with a touch of fruit.

It’s smells really good. The dry down reminds me of Ganymede.

I get a very medicinal green vibe. Like someone on the island of Ithaca created a detoxifying tonic out of local flowers, fruit stems, and herbs, that’s slightly bitter to get down but that makes you know it’s actually working. Smells much better on skin as it’s much more woody and peppery, and gets smoother as it dries down. It’s a scent where I personally wish the opening was a bit softer and the drydown was a bit stronger, as I think it would have more balance one my skin that way. It’s definitely unisex, the opening is more floral and I could see a woman wearing it, but the drydown is more peppery and woody which has some slight resemblance to Speed Legends. While not super similar, I could see someone wearing this in place of or similar occasions as Santal 33

Wow this is lovely. It has a bright, light and bubbly citrus-fruity opening with a fresh, sparkling character. As it begins to settle, a soft floral facet emerges beneath the citrus. As it dries down, some of the sparkling bubbly citrus softens. The composition remains citrus-forward but becomes smoother and less effervescent, with the fruity and light floral facets sitting closer to the skin. Definitely on my buy list.

Citrusy, fruity, woody, great daily/office fragrance, nothing groundbreaking, inoffensive, average projection/longevity. The bitter orange & Sichuan pepper notes do come across a little sharp in the first hour or two and is a little overpowering for my personal taste, wish that was smoothed out a bit to let the other notes come thru a bit more. Unisex, slight masculine leaning, 7.5/10

This one grew on me a lot. It's as good as a citrus can be. Fresh and clean with just enough identity to be memorable without being too loud. It smells extremely natural which justifies the price point. I would say that the slight bitterness drives it down a little bit but it's vastly what makes it so unique. Most certainly a safe blind buy.

wow pretty nice dont really get the medicinal vibe as much as some others you can definitely find this quite cheap on discounters compared to other niches i fond this a little bit too fruity but would easily be a solid nine out of ten if it was less fruitier imo unisex probably im gonna go back to smell this on skin

Wow. Just wow. This absolutely blew me away when I tested it, so much so that I bought it on the spot at bergdorf’s. It is just such a gorgeous grassy peppery rainy smell. Like it reminds me of the idea of the UK in the best way possible. Definitely a spring/ early summer hitter.

i think the pepper is definitely overwhelming and present unlike popular votes, but also leaves room for the bergamot and woody scents to show themselves. very “an early autumn morning haze in a seaside mediterranean town”. its complex without bringing a headache.

It starts with a fresh fruity citrusy blast and I felt like I found the most refreshing perfume for Summer but soon it turns to a green soapy smell. I like it.Leans masculine.Long lasting.

It's actually quite nice, but I just don't think it's for me personally. If the notes look appealing to you, I'd say it's a solid blind buy and safe for everyday wear in warm-hot weather.

Slightly soapy, slightly funky. Reminds me a bit of Kouros, possibly more refined. Not bad, just not especially compelling to me.

At first I said wow, I think I've discovered a unique vivid-citrus scent, but then it went all the way to becoming a scrubber. In the mid notes a sneaky ammonia smell started emerging under the citrus, and at that moment I realized I was facing yet another blackcurrant case, and the threshold here was beyond me. I slowly started experiencing a separation, even a metamorphosis, between the arm the scent lived on and my own self. The combination of bitter orange, juniper berries, and Texas cedar give this fragrance a household cleaner effect. It pulls slightly medicinal reminding me a lot of Spic and Span.

This is a limited edition in Asia(?) tried this in HK the fist impression was a no for me, but the limited 30 bottles were sold out in 2 days LOL. Maybe people are more interested in “limited edition” this fragrance is just another strong memo DNA fragrance... nothing groundbreaking nothing wow me. Opens with strong black currant (too strong for me) a bit minty as well, ends strong cedar base~ I couldn’t detect other notes... It doesn’t worth the price tag imo

This one reads to me as a minimalist "fresh" interpretation of the dead-horse Aventus DNA. Sort of hard to avoid that with the Franken-citrus opening accord and its fully-synthetic facets of grapefruit, bergamot, pineapple, and red apple, followed by a somewhat more natural and obvious blackcurrant note that then dominates the remainder of the fragrance's 12-hour lifespan. The currant gets somewhat woody (Iso E Cedar) and smoky (lithe dose of real Texas cedarwood oil), resulting in a familiar fruity-smoky accord everyone knows and loves. It's not a clone of Aventus, or even a direct "inspired-by" take, but rather a brighter, cleaner distillation of several material accords found in the Creed. Ithaque smells transparent yet present, and despite my misgivings about its 99.9% synthetic feel, I actually really like it. Perfect for those first days of fall where it's still too warm for dense orientals and chypres, but just cool enough to appreciate the saturnine beauty of something like this.

This was a nice hidden gem till some influencers found it. Now the prices have shot up and has become scarce on discounters. Shame. This happened with outlands too...and many others. Funny, YSL 6 was unheard of till some broken nose broccoli head found it. PSA Dont tell scummy influencers about your favorite fragrances because A.) They get them for free probably and B.) You'll be hard pressed to get a deal on it if you need to re up Gatekeep your stuff brothers.

This stuff is f’n amazing!!! So masculine and fresh. The cedar is so freaking good. The aromatics and juicy Blackcurrant are done to perfection. Super high quality and packs a punch. I can’t stop smelling my husband when he wears it. 1000/10. I managed to pick this up off fragrancebuy.ca for $215 CAD shipped. What an amazing price for an amazing woody aromatic masterpiece. Memo Paris is such an underrated house.

I dont’t understand how the notes here are different from the ones listed on Memo page. They are: Blackcurrant buds absolute, Bergamot oil, Cedarwood oid, Orange bitter oil, Mandarin oil, Pepper Timut absolute, Black Pepper oil, Redcurrant accord, Jasmine absolute, Patchouli oil. Can’t wait to try it though. The whole story of Ithaque and the tale of Ulysses and Penelope intrigues so much!

Mandarin oils are very bright and uplifting. This scent opens with a beautiful array of citrus notes, I mostly get mandarin oil. Then you get some juniper and cassis, it becomes greener and more aromatic. When the citrus notes fade it becomes a little dull. I don't get the ammonia some people described, but it does get soapy. A sample is enough for me.

I get the fruit and jasmine in the opening, then the pepper kicks in and to me kicks it slightly to the masculine side. Really like the dry down, but unfortunately I get no projection at all. Can only smell it nose to skin. Guess it would be a good office scent, but I doubt anyone around you will notice. Would love a parfum or Extrait version of this.

Omg. I totally get the ammonia smell that Rylai posted below. Starts off super fresh, and I was about to pull the trigger to buy. but the longer it sat on my skin, it took on this ammonia/urin smell. Omg what??

I sprayed this on me the last few days and about 6 hrs later I kept getting whiffs of an addictive dry peppery smell. I realized it was me and now all I want to smell is that peppery dry down.

This has NOTHING to do with Ganymede. It is an elevated new version of Dolce Light Blue female, which is unisex in my personal opinion and smells really good. Stunning

Initial sharp citrus/spicy opening dries down to the most beautifully balanced fresh woody soapy smell. Looking forward to wearing it this summer,

A sweet and sticky Cassis, Juniper berry, Mandarin, and Raspberry scent. A quite decent, cheerful.

A slightly fruitier, summer version of Diptyque - Orpheon.
