Kedu Sesame

Interesting... Tried another sample from the Memo Discovery Kit. Initial impression was poppy seed backed up by smooth eating chocolate with a vanilla peeping through... yet that fades after five minutes and a smooth sweet citrus and freesia with a not overpowering sesame becomes prominent. Lovely and bright with just enough darkness in it that a male can wear it. It is largely female centric and not as generous as most Memo in its scent bubble. Some whiffs remind me of laundry product - like Preen shirt spray but the quality is enough to make me pay for it as a perfume. It’s vaguely similar to Alyson Oldionis new scent Bucato Royale that is amazing.

This is fast becoming one of my easy reach favorites. It's hard to describe Kedu because it's not a strictly floral perfume and in fact, it's the perfect blend between floral/green/mossy/sesame. The mossy and sesame add a lovely scratchiness(I don't know how else to describe it). The musk adds a clean overall vibe and there's definitely a masterfully blended touch of mandarin and citrus. It's a fragrance that could easily be unisex. The musk is present, but as a second layer, adding a clean feeling to this fragrance. It smells expensive and very classy. The perfect work fragrance, I can't imagine it offending anyone, and it's also perfect for brunch, the beach, an outdoor wedding. Spring and summer would be ideal for Kedu. I can't see it being a winter fragrance, in fact I put it away last winter. There's a dryness to this fragrance, and I don't have anything else like it in my collection. I described it above as scratchiness, and it reminds me of walking into an old wooden structure where you take a whiff and are transported 300 years to the past I absolutely adore Kedu. I think it's a safe blind buy and when I run out, I plan on repurchasing it.

I REALLY REALLY WANT TO BUY KEDU. However, for its performance, I can't seem to justify myself by spending that huge amount of money on something that's so weak and doesn't last. I can't wait to smell this one day and say to myself "YES! It's worth every penny". Especially I don't have that much money to spare on one small bottle of perfume. I don't earn that much either so I normally just stick to perfumes with affordable price tags. Can't wait to get to smell this in person and test it out. I already had my thought of Kedu on its actual page. Basically, it smells glorious! Just too faint and doesn't last.

Kedu Sesame is my ALL TIME MEMO favorite. I was introduced to Marfa Spices and this and this one became my ADDICTION. If you can't find this, KEDU is terrific but if you can find this, let's do this!!
