Mercedes-Benz Cologne

I love Dior Homme Cologne. It's so bright, and mouthwatering. It's almost perfectly unoffensive. That said, It's performance is in the dozens of minutes range, and at its cost, you're paying something akin to a 1-900 sex line price per spray (do 1-900 numbers still exist? This might not make sense if you aren't someone who lived in the United States in the late 1980's through early 2000's. There were these phone numbers that started with 1-900, and when you called them, you would get a charge on your phone bill, in the range of $1 - $5 or more, per minute. Yeah. Fucking crazy right? They were mostly used for phone sex and psychics, the twin pillars of any stable economy). So, in a quest to find something that has the same, or a similar feel to Dior Homme Cologne, and maybe performs better, or costs less, I bought Mercedes-Benz Cologne. First off, I'm relatively new to the world of fragrance snobbery. You might not believe yourself to be a fragrance snob, but you're reading this right now, so that makes you a fragrance snob. You don't see philistines reading about the paintings of Mark Bradford, or Christopher Wool, luddites following iPhone leaks on Twitter, and you don't find regular, non-snob's, on fragrantica, reading reviews of fragrances; they just go into a department store, have the salesperson spray three or four onto little white cards, and buy the one they saw the commercial for. Even then, that's a borderline snob, since they've already started down the rabbit-hole of "this one doesn't smell anything like that one... How many different smells ARE there?" The true regular person uses the fragrance their significant other bought them. Although, the caveat here, is this applies more to men than women. Women are often less afraid of being seen as "too into" perfume, or any other form of self-care. Mercedes-Benz Cologne does NOT smell like Dior Homme Cologne. Not exactly, anyway. It does have the same feel, however. At least, my bottle does. I’ve heard other people describe the difference being that Dior Homme Cologne smells more natural. I suppose, maybe it’s that. I don’t think it’s just that, however. There is a chemical smell, almost like a faint Windex (I don’t know if Windex is pretty universal, so if you don’t know because you live in some uncivilized part of the world that spells “uncivilized” with an s instead of a z, Windex is an ammonia based window cleaner, that for whatever reason, is an amazing shade of blue, so generic window cleaning solutions make sure they are also a similar shade of blue, so stupid and or uneducated people know what the bottle is for, even if they can’t read, or maybe just don’t bother to. Or, quite possibly, it’s some nefarious plot to get those same people to drink it, because it’s such a pretty shade of blue, and some people like to consume everything that looks “good enough to eat.” Also, and this parenthetical is getting rather long, but I don’t know how to add footnotes to Fragrantica reviews, I should clarify; not all uneducated people are stupid, and I wasn’t implying that, even if it read that way. I meant actually stupid people, regardless of their income or education, although that sort of disproves my point. No major corporation in America would ever try to kill off stupid rich people, just poor people, in general. Stupid or not). Dior Homme Cologne gets described as lemonade over ice, or sparkling iced lemonade, or lemonade slushies. Maybe not that last one. Anyway, it’s some sort of chilled, vibrant, effervescent lemonade-y scent. The Dior Homme Cologne has a bit more tartness to it, than the Mercedes-Benz Cologne. I don’t like typing, so I’ll refer to Dior Homme Cologne as DHC from now on and use MBC for the other one. So the big differences I smell, are that the DHC has more tartness to it, although, after I wrote that I thought “does tartness have a smell?” I mean, sure things taste tart, but can something smell tart? I’m going to have to assume it can because that’s what I thought of. But I also think purple smells like grape soda, so what do I know. So DHC is more tart smelling, and also, DHC is noticeably lemony to me. At first at least. As it dries down, I really have to hunt for that lemon smell, it sort of blends into this overall pleasant smell, that I don’t have anywhere near a refined enough sense of smell to identify individual components of. The MBC on the other hand, never really smells like any specific fruit to me. It’s more of a general citrusishyTM smell. It’s by no means unpleasant, and maybe one of the other people here, with a nose that can catch a whiff of a mystery scent and say “ah, yes, that unmistakable bite of Amalfi lemon grown in late spring and harvested a peak ripeness, but I am also detecting the fleeting remembrance of Sicilian lemon, snuck into the batch by accident, and left in because the result, is quite simply, a masterpiece...” even though it just turns out to be furniture polish. And that isn’t to say they’re wrong, I don’t know the difference between a lemon and a lemon, maybe one smells more yellow? Regardless, I don’t have that kind of a nose. I have a nose that usually says, this smells good, or this smells less good (I know, before you correct me, anytime you use some kind of quantifiable measurement, blah blah blah, I was just messing with you. I know, it smells fewer good). On occasion, though, my nose does say to me, “THIS SMELLS LIKE (and then whatever it is I think it smells like, besides more or fewer good, like lemon, or cinnamon, or fall down drunk who shat himself).” MBC does not last long, but, neither does DHC. If anything, MBC might actually last me longer. That could, however, just be because I spray so much more of it, but I think it does actually last longer. Now, that isn’t to say MBC is some sort of powerhouse projection and longevity monster, it isn’t. But with two sprays on each wrist about an hour and a half ago, as I’m writing this, the MBC is much more detectable to my shitty nose, than the DHC. I go to the post office a lot, it’s a hobby of mine. On three separate occasions, a specific postal employee has asked me what it is I’m wearing, and all three times it was MBC. She’s usually the person working the counter when I go to that post office, say three times a week. I’ve worn DHC and that didn’t elicit a “WHAT are you wearing!?” from her, I’ve worn Aventus, and that didn’t get a response either. Maybe it’s the only thing she can smell. I don’t know. But she was able to pick out MBC each of the three times I wore it, and she’s behind a counter, with a sheet of plexiglass between us (although, it isn’t like a bulletproof window, like you would see at the bank, or a pawn shop, or a bulletproof window store. It’s a COVID barrier, and just sits between the customer and the clerk, but if you move one foot to the right, there’s no barrier, because it’s the post office, and you often have some sort of package exchanging hands, and that could be difficult to do with an uninterrupted pane of six-inch-thick plastic between parties). The batch code on the box I received, 0155, checks out to a production date of 03 June 2020. Now, my understanding is that this is discontinued, but I can’t find any definitive statements of when production ceased. That said, I believe I have a bottle from the tail end of production. Maybe that’s the reason for my singular complaint, or maybe it’s always been bad, or I just got lucky, but I do have one issue with my MBC bottle. So, the actual bottle is great, I love the shape, size, weight of the flacon (that’s just a fancy word for a small, stoppered bottle). I love the color gradient of the glass, going from the aforementioned Windex blue to clear glass. The cap itself is alright, a bit chintzy, but that’s forgivable. On the bottle itself, and my ignorance will show here, because I don’t know the name of this part, but there is a metal piece that sits on top of the bottle, hiding where the atomizer is crimped to the bottle. That metal piece, a sort of disc that is about a quarter of an inch tall, and around an inch and a half in diameter, has always been loose, as in it jingles and jangles and spins around when you handle the bottle with the cap off. I bought this bottle new; it was in a sealed box. Now, this, I think, is also why that chintzy cap doesn’t sit on the bottle level, it’s lopsided. And when it sits on the bottle, that metal piece is cocked at an angle as well. This is just a quality control issue it seems; I can’t imagine that this was intended. Overall, MBC is one I recommend. I mean, if you want a fragrance that (as of this writing) costs under $60 for 120ml (it takes some searching, but you can still find it), smells great, and gives you the opportunity to use it nine or ten times a day, MBC is your winner. Performance isn’t great, but I still haven’t smelled anything similar with even “good” performance. To me, it’s worth it though, because it smells THAT good. I give MBC a perfect 10 out of 10 DHC's for smell, a 3 post-office-ladies out of 3 for compliment getting, and a so-so score of some-of-the-day, out of all-of-the-day for performance...

After wearing this for a few weeks, this is my take on MB Cologne. Refreshing, bright, uplifting, mouthwatering summer citrus you'd love to drink. It is really really close to Dior Homme Cologne. It has an almost identical smell. MB Cologne differs in the opening where it is not as sharp as Dior. Dior has this very natural, sharp grapefruit pulp opening like when you peal off grapefruit and smell the pulp where MB Cologne has more of a juicy smoother grapefruit mixed with a bright lemon. But the difference is so negligible that I would say this is 98% Dior Homme Cologne. To me, Mercedes smells a bit better than Dior. Feels smoother, better blended, not as sharp in the opening but it is the same smell, just better done. Imagine if you polished Dior Homme Cologne opening more towards niche. After 15 mins they are identical and as they are drying down they smell the same. Citrus fresh musky with a bit of sweet nuances. MB Cologne lasts 2-3 hours longer which is something to take into account. Not to mention it's 1/3 of the price of DH Cologne. MB Cologne starts smoother but projects and lasts longer where Dior starts sharper but dies down way more faster. Bottom line, this is how a clone should be done. You couldn't get more to the DH Cologne than this. Even Jimmy Choo Man Ice which is similar to DH Cologne... Mercedes Benz beats it and here simply is no reason for getting either Dior or Jimmy Choo when this is around. For this price, for the natural smell so close to DHC, better opening and so much better longevity... You simply can't beat it. I want to put this on your radar because you will save money and get the same smell you love. Same quality. I wanted to cash out for DH Cologne but after wearing them side by side there simply is no reason to get Dior. None whatsoever. It is that good and that close. A little known gem that needs a lot more hype!

This is a great find... I bought the Mercedes Benz Cologne online from Amazon India, as it is not available for sale at any of the retail stores here. I bought this cologne 75ml full bottle based on the reviews of some popular Youtube fragrance reviewers, so it was a blind buy, but it turned out to be very good. This cologne opens with a fresh, invigorating blast of citruses (lemon and grapefruit) that smells really classy at the same time very refreshing and amazing. For the first 15-20 mins, the citrus smell tends to be on the sour side, but afterwards on the drydown it turns sweeter once the ginger and musk notes come to prominence. I wore this today when the weather was warm and sweaty (ambient temperature around 30 degC) & I was able to get strong projection for upto 2.5 hrs, after that it started getting weaker, but did not quite become a skin scent until the 4th hour - all this time it kept me feeling fresh and invigorated & it was really awesome. I feel this cologne is perfectly suited for our Indian tropical climate, although I am not 100% sure how this will perform in peak summer season, when the outdoor temperatures hit 40 degC and it sweats like hell... Most folks in the community are saying this cologne is a copy of Dior Homme Cologne 2013 version - now, I haven't tried out the Dior cologne yet, but for me the Mercedes Benz Cologne is very much like Versace Man Eau Fraiche, but with stronger and classier citrus notes and base notes. Price-wise, the Mercedes Benz cologne is twice as expensive as the Versace one, but only half the price of the Dior one. So it is definitely value-for-money. My overall rating as of now: Smell: 9 / 10 Projection: 8 / 10 Longevity: 9 / 10 Value-for-money: 10 / 10

Another master work of simplicity by Olivier Cresp. This is really the perfect summer refresher scent. As I run through all the potential replacements for my last half bottle of MBZ Cologne (Dior Homme Cologne, Chanel Allure Homme Cologne, Jimmy Choo Man Ice), I am reminded of just how right Cresp got this one. To me, it just plain smells better and brighter than both DHC and CAHC, more enjoyable to wear. I suspect it's the interplay between mandarin and lemon verbena that feels more literal and uplifting. Lasts about as long as DHC, longer than CAHC and a LOT longer than JCMI. The Dior and Chanel sport something of a subtle but sharp, grassy/rooty quality (vetiver or lemongrass?) that takes them down a peg for me. The Choo opens really nicely, but morphs a bit into a slightly more patchouli/musk backbone - so it's probably the least similar. If I were to choose one to replace this, I think I'd go with the Choo, as it comes off a bit cleaner to me, and costs about 1/4 of the others. But nothing I've tried so far matches the pure citrus brightness of MBZ Cologne. Why on Earth did they discontinue this, and so soon? Can anyone recommend another very similar potential replacement for this one?

I'd literally been searching for this GEM for a good year... After reading countless reviews on how good it is for a cheapie, I just knew all hope was lost. Thinking I'd have to be in Germany or something to find one. One Friday night I'm watching Dallas from Chaos Fragrances do a review on this exact frag, comparing it to the usual suspects(great vid BTW). I check Fragrancenet like I always do just to be sure, low and behold what do I see... Mercedes Benz Cologne 4.0 oz for around $30 with coupons, so I immediately snatch it up. I even grabbed a backup bottle a week later seeing how long it took me to come past just one. Haven't seen it on Fragrancenet since, but it's currently available on Cosmetics NOW USA for around $50. Legit thinking about grabbing a 3rd! I know this isn't a review, but I like cherishing wins. Go grab one while you can. But, Blue Hole from Zara does a pretty good job for less than $20. Sharper lemon, pretty linear, and good projection. MBC is the champion of the bunch IMHO. Vibrant Leather Cologne is prob my next purchase in this genre.

Was able to jump on this recently at Fragrance.Net. It seems to be available again, perhaps it is not discontinued? I’ve seen a lot of favorable reviews on the scent and so I was happy to be able to find it. Opens with a nice citrus sparkle as advertised and dries down into the woods and musk pretty quickly as it passes through the middle notes of ginger and lemon. A wee bit of the lemon remains at the end with the musk so it stays fresh but masculine. It’s a very nice frag for sure...but nothing special. It is your typical summer citrus “freshie” in terms of performance, and has a familiar DNA. I will say that it lasts pretty long on me. I hit my chest with it three times and I could still smell it the next day. It can either be your signature freshie or one in the line of many options. I paid $50 for 120 ml Warning: Once it dries down it smells pretty much the same as Jimmy Choo Man Ice, which IMHO has a nicer opening and middle. Ratings: Scent 8.0 Sillage 6 Performance 7 Longevity 7.5 Value 7.5

Mercedes Benz Cologne is a fresh, citrus, aromatic and slightly spicy fragrance. I like its aroma a lot, mainly because citrus fragrances give me joy, energy and put me in a good mood. Its output is citric and sparkling (something between orange and lemon), with light spicy and herbal touches, and as time goes by the presence of a musk rises that gives it a certain sensation of cleanliness. Many have mentioned that it reminds them of Dior Homme Cologne 2013, although trying them side by side there are some differences, starting with the quality where the Dior is better, while the Mercedes Benz Cologne is more spicy, but from a distance I think that the aroma is very close in both fragrances. The fragrance is suitable for daytime use, mainly in spring and summer. Its longevity is fine for me, I get to about 6 hours. the first is notorius, then goes down to skin level. Edit: Other good choice or alternative to this fragrance is Citrus Cedro by Adolfo Dominguez.

As soon as I heard it was available on FragranceNet I had to jump on it and purchase it since I've heard the news of discontinuation on multiple occasions. My batch was made in 2020 so I'll go and assume as much. In terms of scent profile, it is a very sparkly and citrusy scent. It is reminiscent of Jimmy Choo Man Ice and the famous Dior Homme Cologne although I have not tried it as of yet. I am simply in love with this fragrance, especially since it has been very hot and humid as of recently in the Caribbean so it seems perfect for this time of year. I hope it lasts at least 6 hours on my skin, I will update this review once I have fully tested it but so far, I am really liking this freshie! Update: It lasted on my skin for close to 8 hours as a skin scent. It isn't a major projector nor is it a unique DNA. However, I believe it's worth it to stay cool and fresh during the summertime!

Others do similar scent well for way more money. For the price, scent, and presentation Mercedes is exceptional. For me it is an earthy, salty/sugared frozen lemon slice. Good sillage for 2-3 HR and lasts on skin 6-8 hrs. Definitely a summer scent. I reach for this more often than not at the moment. Maybe to save some of my more expensive frags for more high profile events or gatherings but if I could only afford one summer fragrance, then I would choose this for its price point and versatility and relative compliment factor. It is getting harder to track this one down and comparisons to other more expensive frags have slightly driven the price up to that $40 range when you do find it. My go-to gym fragrance - the first one where I finished 125 ml in a short time span and I am on my second bottle. It's crisp, sharp lemon - just what I need as a morning wake up call to feel refreshed before a workout. Lasts through the duration of my workout (which is all I expect). The nice thing is that I keep getting whiffs of it throughout, making it enjoyable. Since I loved it so much and I was curious, I also ordered a small and overpriced bottle of Dior Homme Cologne. Unfortunately, for the life of me I cannot smell it. Not even immediately after spraying. So MB Cologne remains my staple. For sure, it's a stronger, longer lasting perfume that Dior Homme. I am generally fond of Eau De Cologne too (4711, Colonia etc) and in my opinion, MB beats them all in longevity. Which is quite a feat for a cheapie. Recommended for the hot and sweaty days.

A deliciously bright, effervescent and uplifting fragrance from Mercedes Benz which has niche quality. It also has a niche price tag too due to being discontinued. It smells absolutely nothing like cleaning products - quite why people insist on comparing some citrus forward fragrances to cleaning products is beyond me... lemon after all, is still lemon regardless of whether it's in a fragrance or a kitchen cleaner! The reality is that for most people, the citrus accord is often difficult to distinguish - I mean who the hell can tell the difference between Brazilian orange and Spanish orange?! MB Cologne is a heavily sought after fragrance not because it smells of 'Old woman's cleaning spray' but because it is a beautiful fragrance composed by an expert perfumer.

This is an absolute gem of a summer scent. If you are looking for a fresh purely citrus scent with a bit of depth in the dry-down then this should be near the top of your list. It is one of those scents that lifts your mood instantly and you find yourself in a better state of mind just by wearing it. Performance is about normal for a summer scent - I get 2-3 hours of decent projection before it dries down to a nice skin scent for the next 3 to 4 hours. Ideal for summer hols and don't be afraid of over-applying as it will make you feel almost instantly refreshed in the heat. For the price you pay it has to be one of the best bang per bucks EDT on the market right now. A solid 9/10 from me and my go to summer scent along with Versace Pour Homme.

One of the most refreshing fragrances you can own. You can tell when something was created with love, generosity and meaning when it is cheap but smells expensive. When something is expensive but smells cheap I’m not paying for it! That’s it... This discontinued gem *weep* was a crisp and fresh masterpiece that really demonstrated how art can be made at a low budget for a competitive price. The resourcefulness of just that idea is beyond me. A smooth and juicy grapefruit rind in orange seltzer. Because of scents like this I will always hold the bar astronomically high for any house that’s trying to sell me crud for $200+ - if you can blow me away at $30 you sure as heck better send me to heaven and back at $200. 9/10

I bought this fragrance a few years ago and the first time I smelled it I thought "What was I thinking when I ordered only a 40 ml bottle?" This is a blast of natural freshness for me. It smells pretty modern and somehow reminds me of a lemonade. If you smell it for a long time it can smell a bit synthetic but I don't think it is a bad thing. This is a casual scent for me. Great for a hot summer day. Longevity is solid but don't expect wonders since it is a freshie. Sprayer is great as well. I don't really feel it is sexy since I rarely get compliments for wearing this one but you will feel very refreshed when wearing it. If you can get it online for a low price get yourself a big bottle. It is a safe blind buy.

Based on reviews of this I've been wanting it forever so I finally blind bought it and unsurprisingly I was amazed by how beautiful and fresh this fragrance was. It smells amazing it's very strong in the grapefruit note, has a strong dash of orange and a very slight hint of ginger. I've never smelled dior homme cologne but I've heard from the other reviews that this is a near exact copy of it only with better performance. The performance is about average. You'll get about 5/6 hours from this with light-moderate projection. The fragrance is fantastic, I'd give it a 9/10. A must have, especially for the price

Yesterday, i bought this Mercedes-Benz Cologne gem with Versace Pour Homme. When i tried both these perfumes. Hats off to the Mercedes-Benz Cologne. Tremendeous projection and longivity for whole day better than Versace Pour Homme. Beautiful bottle with amazing and refreshing scent. I got compliments from my friends and they also bought this gem. Perfectly wearable for any season. Even at night also i can smell the amazing scent on my body. Highly Recommended for day wear in any season. But wear after taking shower then drive your bike and look at your back how people will try to follow you. :D

Beautifully blended citrus and ginger with the slightest hint of sweetness in the dry down that makes this so well balanced. I don’t get any synthetic vibes. Longevity and Sillage are both above average. An extremely pleasant fragrance. It really is a hidden gem, in my experience a lot of places that stock MB don’t carry MB Cologne for what ever reason (in Australia anyways). It’s crazy considering this arguably their best offering. The bottle is beautiful and is of good quality with a plastic/metal magnetic lid just Incase that’s a deciding factor :) Bloody good stuff

This is very similar to Dior 'Cologne' but far less expensive and this is definitely more citrus based with very little change form first spray to dry down .It is beautiful and fresh and will instantly put you in a good mood and just brilliant for late spring through summer and late Autumn. I mean there are no rules when to apply really but most folks want a warmer scent with more depth in winter. This is a bit light on longevity with about 4-5 hours so a few double sprays and on your collar or shirt will help. Becoming hard to find as well so if you see it grab it.

Havent tried Dior Homme Cologne but I love this scent for what it is, and not for what it tries to copy. Citrus aromatic but no sugar. It has slight trace of floral, lemon beebrush scent. Prominent notes are grapefruit, lemon beebrush/verbena, and vetiver. A safe scent in the workplace. Even for those with sensitive noses, they will approve of this smell. Average projection but inoffensive and unsynthetic smelling. Longevity is decent. My bottle is a 120ml tester by the way. Batch 6270. One of my new favorites this summer in ultra humid UAE. 8.2/10

This morning was cold, below 0 degree F. But the Postman dropped this off and I had to give it a test. I sprayed Dior on a wrist and this on the other. Really similar. Another reason for me to be looking forward to warm weather. I don't have to get a replacement for my near empty DHC as this will work as a great office scent. This was hard to track down here in the US, for those looking, you can find it at Perfumeclick.com. If you want it, you better hurry, there's only 5 bottles left(make that 4, for $30 I'm getting a back up)

One of my favorite warm weather fragrances. I Get a opening of a semi realistic mandarin orange and grapefruit then it dries down to a light musk. I have gotten the chance to smell this and the dior homme cologne and I can honestly say there’s little to no difference I will say I enjoy this more than the dior in the opening. My only gripe is I get about 3 hours before I can barely even smell it on my skin. But that’s to be expected of a fragrance titled cologne and with such a amazing opening. Just be sure to spray heavy!

You guys are very welcome. No one was talking about this half a year ago. No reviews, no talk, no anything. I got few bottles and I tried talking as much as I could on groups in fragcom. Because people needed to know about this gem. The quality of this frag, the similarity to both DHC and Allure Sport Cologne is unbelievable. This scent profile, with this quality for that price... makkes you never want to spend on diors or chanels frags that this is copying extremely well, both in smell and quality.

To my nose nothing can touch Dior Homme Cologne for pleasing citrus scents. With that said however this does hold similarities for sure. Early in the dry down I cannot stop thinking how much Mercedes-Benz Cologne smells just like Fruity Pebbles cereal. It’s not the worst thing but just a bit off putting. Once I get past that phase of wearing this then there’s a delightful and long lasting aroma which, just as I forget I put it on, offers itself back to me repeatedly. Perfect for the heat of summer.

To my nose, this is Dior Homme Cologne. I loved this scent when I first tried it out of my little decant. Went online to try to find it... DISCONTINUED. Checked ebay and prices were HIGH for old stock. I searched for a copy. Someone suggested Jimmy Choo Man Ice and that wasn't it for me. Wanted to try Zara Vibrant Leather Summer but couldn't find it either. Finally got to try some new (2022) Dior Homme Cologne at Dillards. I was like, "yep that's it" so I ordered some Dior Homme Cologne last week.

This is the perfect fragrance for temperatures above 32°C (90°F). It is so refreshing and envigorating. The most refreshing fragrance I have had my nose on. I only wear it on these days, which are not that many in The Netherlands. So my 120ml + two 120ml back-up bottles are going to last me for the next century and only cost me €30 each. Lovely fragrance. Edit: I see prices are in the €120/120ml range for this. Do not buy these bottles. Go for Dior Homme Cologne instead.

I quickly bought a backup bottle of this because I love it so much. Very versatile easy to wear. Smells better than Dior homme cologne in my opinion and definitely lasts longer. In fact, it has wonderful performance for a freshie. A solid, safe, relatively inexpensive fragrance that can be blind bought without hesitation. Not that it matters too much to me, but the bottle is really lovely and somehow manages to be a good reflection of its bright and airy contents.

This fragrance sounds amazing from all of the descriptions I have read and of course from great reviewers like Joy Amin on Youtube. Just in case anyone is still in search of this it has just surfaced on E-Bay in Germany and Latvia sorry can't post the link but trying to help my fellow frag lovers. Good Luck to all! @Tyriel This is almost identical to DH Cologne. It differs in the opening where this has more refined juicy citrus, and DH Cologne has sharper and stronger opening which goes away like a plane at high altitude and then just starts vertically downward very fast. MB does last longer and if you didn't get good longevity with it, you would get even worse with Dior. Which isn't more refined, because in terms of quality, they are totally identical.

Testing Dior homme Cologne & to me it is 95% identical to my bottle of MBC. The opening is nicer on the Dior, they are identical from 2min till 2+ hours then the Mercedes maybe has more white musk strength. For what it's worth I tested DHC against Chanel allure homme sport cologne today. Owning the MBC already, I bought the chanel. Different scents for sure although I prefer the chanel.

Absolutely love how this smells - uncomplicated, high end citrus soda. It's a summer scent because honestly it's the heat of the spring / summer that provides the backdrop to round out this fragrance. And when I say it doesn't like cold weathers I mean even monsoon season in India with the weather around 21 - 23 deg. I'm so looking forward to next summer to rock this one...

Straight up hot humid weather spray. Freshness up the wazoo. It definitely reminds you of DHC but slightly sweeter and less tangy/zesty; if DHC is a $10 lemonade, this is an airy lemon/orange gelato, equally luxurious. Longevity, who cares when it smells this good. If you are looking for a summer freshie and can get your hands on this, don't think twice. BIG LOVE!

Purchased as a Blind Buy!! Awesome scent, and yes very close to Dior Home Cologne, which I tested but did not buy. However, both are very light scent and do not perform well on my skin. Since I bought it a great price from fragrancenet.com I am still Happy. Great summer scent, I will just spray plenty on and carry a small sprayer to reapply every 2 to 3 hours.

Smells 95% like Dior Homme Cologne 2013 or 2022, but with better longevity and sillage, and costs a fraction of the price. IMHO much more pleasant than Jimmy Choo Man Ice. JCMI has an unpleasant synthetic smell that I can't stand. It's a shame that this is discontinued. I don't understand why fragrance brands discontinue their best product.

Great summer fragrance but now almost impossible to find (in North America, at least). If you like the smell of lemons, you will enjoy wearing this very much. This used to be an inexpensive and very good smelling alternative to Dior Homme Cologne. Now that MB Cologne prices are climbing, don't bother, just get Dior Homme Cologne instead.

Great citrus frag & yes opens exactly same as Dior Homme Cologne Different base to Dior in vetiver so it lasts longer But mellows off the citrus over time I personally like fresh scents and for citrussy frags this is a close second to Dior in overall smell but lasts longer so recommend to anyone looking for a sharp fresh citrus frag

Wore this shoveling snow today. Icy! It’s all been said about this fragrance in the heat & it works great as a change up in the winter. I get good longevity both in heat & cold & projection is very good. Aromatic citrus ginger white musk. Very nice bottle and cap. Sprayer is cheap. Great value at $10/oz from discounter.

Perfect fresh scent for warm summer day. Citrus,ginger and musk remain for a few hrs sadly fades away quickly, if only it could last 6 hrs on my skin it would've been perfect. The vaseline hack might work but I can't stand vaseline on my skin in summer. Scent 8/10 Sillage 6/10 Longevity 5/10 Value 9/10 Overall 7/10

Thank you ppl of frangratica! From all the opinions here, I bought this blind as I wanted an awesome citrus fragrance for spring/summer. And being that it was way less than Dior; I was lucky enough to find a bottle on eBay for $35 and pulled the trigger. No regrets. I wore it for a week straight and love it.

I fvcking love this fragrance. When I have the first spay of this, i think it suck and not worth for any penny. One day, on a very hot day of summer and I dont know what fragrance I wearing that day, so I pick MBC with 10 spays and I realize dame I almost missed a good things for the summer.

Nice scent. Very close close to DHC. For the$30 I paid I won't split hairs. Lasts about the same if not a tad longer. Picked this up at the crossings outlet mall in Pennsylvania. They had quite a few left. They were on sale. Guess they're trying to get rid of them. I'd give this a 8/10.

It is a pity that Mercedes has withdrawn this Fragrance from production. It's a really cool summer fragrance, effervescent like a lollipop on the cheek. Ginger, citrus, freshness. Cresp put on a great cologne. the real competitor is Dior Colognes. but they took it off, damn it!

I agree that it is so similar to Dior Homme Cologne but M-B Cologne is longer lasting, we compared them hand by hand. We purchased 125ml bottle online and it has a decent longevity and sillage. It is a pity that some bottles have different performances as Tyriel mentioned.

i get the hype finally got a bottle so fresh it's really like lemonade classed up in a bottle amazing just buy it last on skin 6 plus hours still being able to smell it incredible. some say it's a dior homme clone if so i gotta check out DHC because this is beautiful work

A very fresh lemon/orange/grapefruit perfume. Lasts quite a long time too with a decent silage. The dry down is a smooth fresh green vetiver/citrus. Excellent for Summer. This has an EDT strength (even though it's called a cologne). Top notch citrus juice.

This is a REALLY good substitute (I like that word so much better than "clone") for Dior Homme Cologne. It's almost exactly the same: fresh, bright, uplifting citruses with a musky base. It makes you feel clean. Easy dumb grab fragrance for warmer weather.

Great perfume! Fresh, citrusy, woody and manly! Leans towards summer but I think could be used anytime of the year - casual or smart dress. Longevity and projection are good too. Some perfumes are worth stockpiling, and this is one of them. Recommended!

I really like this perfume. It's very refreshing and clean. Start of with a refreshing fruity tart smell and end with a musky / vetiver drydown. And with the cheap price you won't regret blind-buying this. Get it before it's gone...

Fresh and delicious. In the same vibe of Dior Homme Cologne. Only downside is that you need to apply a lot. Minimum 10 sprays also on hair and clothes. Expensive now as it is discontinued. Shame on you MB for discontinuing.

This scent gets it done. Period. Mr. Cresp copied this one right. An alluring, smooth lemon...smoother than Chanel. This will pull em in. The price for this big bottle has me shaking my head. What a find. Blind buy worthy.
