Here is the no hype no biased review to tell you what you need to know. First, i have hundreds of scents in my collection all genres, multiple classifications. This smells like none of them. This is a tropical fruity fragrance that does not smell like God of Fire, which is good but this isn't it. Nectarine and passionfruit are the star players in the opening. The spice is ever so slight. Upon dry down you're left with this clean very soft spiced fruit. You're going to get a full days wear out of it. This is fun, flirty, playful. This is brunch, lunch, oceanside cocktails, vacation vibes. God of fire could be the evening counter to this scent. I'd put this in the realm of Tales of Zanzibar by MOAPC. Decidedly unisex. While price should not be a determinant of how a scent smells, you can pick this up as of 4/16/2025 for right at $200. For those saying this smells like Porthole, Neon no 4 kajal....no. i own all of those. They are fruity but different fruits dominate. This is NOT mango forward. I first experienced Passion Island by Mes Bisous at ScentXplore and it quickly shot to the top of my discovery list. I’ve always loved their A Wondrous Flight (same perfumer as Passion Island), Passion Island takes things to a whole new level. It’s bright, inviting, and somehow manages to feel both familiar and completely original—truly not like anything else out there, especially not Erba Pura. Right from the start, it delivers a sunny, uplifting blend of ripe tropical fruits with a hint of creamy florals floating underneath. Passion fruit with juicy mango and some background blends of line and other citrus accords. There’s a subtle salty breeze that reminds me of relaxing on a quiet beach, yet it never veers into overly sweet or beachy clichés. It’s balanced, joyful, and has an effortless elegance that keeps me coming back for more. I wore this full day on the second day and fell head over heels in love; unfortunately it's sold-out from the event and Maxaroma hasn't added it yet to their inventory. If you’re looking for a standout niche scent that truly transports you, Passion Island is well worth a try.

The very beginning is incredibly powerful – like a sweet, ripe fruit cocktail, with slices of fruit adorning the edge of a glass rimmed with sugared crystals. After a moment, the sugar dissolves, and the fragrance starts to resemble a natural multi-fruit juice. None of the fruits dominate – the scent is beautifully balanced. Notes of lime, passion fruit, blackcurrant, nectarine, mango, and pineapple are noticeable. It’s the kind of natural sweetness you get from perfectly ripe fruit. The fragrance is rather light, cooling, refreshing, vitamin-rich, juicy, delicious, fruity-floral, tropical, harmonious, and slightly bitter. It’s inspiring and expressive. As it settles, it becomes more velvety, more sensual. It has great longevity – even after several hours, the fruity notes haven’t disappeared. There’s a barely-there hint of wood, but it's a soft wooden note – like a kitchen spatula made of apple tree wood.

I don’t get an artificial or candy-like vibe from this one at all; the materials smell noticeably high quality and natural. The natural citrus oils feel vibrant, nuanced, and perfectly balanced. What makes it stand out is its ultra-luxurious, crystal-clear aura—it avoids the usual generic fresh territory entirely. Instead, the fruitiness beautifully integrates with the woods, premium musks, and amber to create a smooth, sophisticated, and modern signature scent. It delivers a stunning tropical character that feels incredibly refined on the skin, easily lasting over 8 hours. It is an absolute masterpiece and a massive compliment getter—literally a high-end vacation in a bottle.

although a bit synthetic, this is absolutely delicious. juicy passion fruit and mango blast. i sprayed this on paper and found it SLIGHTLY masculine leaning, just the right amount for me because im woman who loves unisex scents. but when i wore it today, all the people around me thought a man with the strongest cologne walked past us....it was me 😭 one of them even said i smell like a spicy pickle. i didnt know what to say. even though i love this, i dont think i can ever wear it again

This beauty starts with a sour passion fruit ,citruses and some pineapple , I don’t get any mango. In the dry down passion fruit softens significantly but it doesn’t disappear and the vanilla start to take center stage along with the cedar wood. Projection is moderate for about an hour on my skin and longevity is approximately 6 hours. Overall a very happy bright passion fruit that feels like a very sunny day at the beach. Definitely unisex.

I own a few summer perfumes and have smelled a ton, but this one was incredible. It opens up with a passion fruit and nectarine, then it evolves into a mixture of fresh and spicy fruits. Wery wery good fragrance not typically like those other fresh summer fragrances, this is like a fresh garden with lots of fresh fruits and also berries not strawberries but blackcurrant berries. Smell: 9,5/10 Silage: 7/10 Longevity: 7,5/10

The opening to this is impressive. This really do smell like tropical fruits like a sparkling fruit soda. The ripe and fresh passionfruit tropical vibes in this will be perfect for summer vacation. I wish the opening stayed the same because it dries into something different. The opening is fresh fruity giving a feminine vibe and dry-down masculine. This is one you need to try before you buy.

A spray of tropical vacation; a feel good scent. It’s very fruity, but the mango is more on the green side so it helps keep the sweetness down a little. The sandalwood gives it a hint of creaminess. It’s not something you want to wear every day, but it’s perfect for summer vacations and outdoor events. In the same ballpark as Summer Hammer or God of Fire. Overall rating 7.9/10.

Opening is very strong passionfruit and mango combo. Very realistic, juicy and a bit sour. This is so good! I don’t get all the negative reviews, and it’s leaning feminine not masculine at all. As it dries down it becomes very similar to Sunplosion by Simone Andreoli. So you probably don’t need both. This is summer in a bottle!

Wow...this left me speechless. Such a mouthwatering, delicious, tropical scent. Mostly passionfruit and guava. Love at first sniff. Of all the airy, tropical, God of Fire type fragrances, this one just does it for me. However, be prepared to get some wafts of ambroxan in the base in high heat or if you overspray.

Just got my bottle and overall its smells like a guava/passionfruit tropical juice drink that you would find at a indian or mexican grocery store. If you like those drinks, you'll love this. Projection is moderate to strong, and the longevity is very good. The scent profile for me stays fairly linear throughout.

Its an amazing fragrance. If you want a comparison it smells like somebody redid Bleu de Chanel edp but with passion fruit. It has the same citrusy woods but with the pink pepper, ginger and passion fruit it really becomes something amazing. 10/10 fragrance.

I love it as a stand alone... very fruity but crisp and sharp. I also love to layer with sweet floral or simple "marshmallow" type sweets. I feel like a bottle will last for years, she's a powerhouse!

if you like juicy, bubblegummy, fruity scents that reminds fruit juices, like capri-sun, you'll also love this. The general smell reminds me of capri-sun heavily, the opening is more citrusy than the drydown which is more heavy on the mango note imo. I find this similar to terre d'hermes eau givree and xerjoff erba gold, main diffirence is that this has more citrus than both. Although some may find this a bit synthetic, i personally didn't. It's not the most natural smelling fragrance i'll give you that, but it doesn't hurt my nose nor it's too noticeable. So if you feel zesty and want something juicy, you should take a look at passion island. 8.6/10

Rabanne Million. The creamy coconut and white tropical floral. Take the same song and just lightly remix it. Same note composition and beast mode. Lasts forever. It's not bad. I enjoyed it, lasts forever (8-12hrs), but I knew it was so familiar. Then it hit me, Rabanne Million. This one is also a beast mode. Tiny spritz goes a long way. Over spray, over do it. Not office friendly. More for beach, outdoors, maybe a night dancing at a club, but I believe body heat chemistry will intensify so spray lightly. It is nice. It's just like many other "new" perfume, are a remake. Like most movies today, lol. Many are remakes. Hope this helps ツ

Bright tropical fruits on a musky base. For me it’s a bit too synthetic, but still quite mouthwatering. I can definitely feel passion fruit, mango and pineapple here. Beautiful, but too much strong synthetic materials in the base that gives the longevity but ruins the scent for me.

Bright sour zesty fruits. I wish it would be just a tiny bit sweeter, but I solve this problem with layering. Overall it’s a good tropical fruity perfume without nasty notes unlike a lot of fragrances in this category. I bought it with my own money and happy with my purchase.

Kind of synthetic, a tad generic, and slightly like a wall plug in or candle, but still overall very good. If I didn’t already have a better sweet tropical fragrance I would probably buy a full bottle.

You know, the thing where you buy into the hype, throw caution to the wind, and blind-buy a full bottle before even smelling it. And that’s how I ended up with this fruity, spicy, vanilla-heavy powerhouse that I do like—but also kind of regret purchasing. The opening is a full-force hit of passionfruit and mango, loud and juicy, but not in a rotten, overly sweet way. What saves it is the pink pepper and ginger, which cut through the fruitiness with a fresh, zesty spice. That balance is the only reason I didn’t immediately write this off as another cloying fruit bomb. As it wears, the fruit slowly starts to mellow, letting a soft musk peek through. But honestly? The real star of the drydown is vanilla. Straight-up, creamy, and rich, with a bit of woody depth to keep it from feeling too simple. It’s familiar, it’s smooth, and it makes for an easy, crowd-pleasing finish. Performance? Absolutely beastly. This thing projects like crazy, lasts all day, and gets a ridiculous amount of compliments. If you’re after something mass-appealing and bold, this is a winner. But here’s the thing—I like it, but it’s just not my kind of scent. It’s fun, it’s well-done, but it’s not what I prefer to smell like. And because I went full send on a bottle instead of getting a decant, I’m now stuck with way more of it than I need. Lesson learned. Off first wear of my sample I really like the opening. Smells literally like passion fruit juice. A few minutes after it dries down though I keep getting a slightly off putting note that I can only surmise is from the nectarine. I have good experience with every other note listed to know what I’m smelling but never smelled a nectarine accord so I’m assuming that’s what’s throwing me off. It comes off smelling a little metallic at first surprisingly enough, so it starts smelling like a tin can with passion fruit juice rather than the juice itself. After more time passes though that metallic accord mellows down and smells more so like a fresh nectarine from the grocery store. It’s good but not amazing to me, and doesn’t beat Dolce Melodia, Erba Gold or Loumari Porthole which I love for tropical scents. I’ll enjoy my 10ml on trips till it runs out though. 6/10

Initial application out of the bottle was dry, spicy, and woody and I loved how well balanced it was. Unfortunately, within seconds, this swung into sweet fruit candy territory. It’s a shame because as someone who lives in the tropics, I REALLY appreciated that they made a tropical fragrance that didn’t have the pineapple + coconut combo that makes nearly all “tropical” fragrances smell like sunscreen or piña coladas. The fragrance overall smells extremely artificial, which I normally hate, but here it has a nostalgia factor for me. It reminds me of a candy or scented marker or SOMETHING from my childhood I can’t quite put my nose on.

I saw a comment that said this smelled like “a spicy pickle”... and honestly? I agree. That’s the best way I could describe this—ugh. It opens with a sharp, sour citrus that immediately veers into something weirdly savory. I was hoping for tropical warmth, maybe a creamy island escape. Instead, I got a spicy vinegar detour that clung to my skin like bad decisions. Tried to give it a fair shot, but the minute it hit—I wanted it off. Hmm, yeah not that keen on this one. I do like a good tropical fragrance when done right and adore the likes of Porthole, God of Fire, Pacific Chill etc but in my honest opinion, this one is too much. It smells like someone poured a carton of Rubicon passionfruit juice over your head which then has a sticky and sour evaporation process, giving off a sticky sweet/sour, obnoxiously strong concoction. Hard-core tropical lovers may still enjoy this but in my eyes, although I don't dislike the scent, it ain't really smelling like a fragrance.

The tropical notes are prevalent in the first hour or so, then it dries down into something very close to Moscow Mule by JHAG. And she really is beast mode. The fact that I have worn something that largely smelled almost exactly like this makes it underwhelming for me.

Fun, bright, energetic, tropical, yes it sounds nice, no one should say anything bad about a scent, but I don't want to smell like a greengrocer, like a walking exotic greengrocer, wearing this and going out, of course not

I’m getting grapefruit on the opening, though it’s not listed as a note. A strong, bitter citrus. Not bad, not great.

On the dry down it reminds me of a less potent/screechy Xerjoff Erba Pura. 7/10.

A major blind-buy flop for me. This is not your tropical, creamy, slightly sweet summer fragrance that leaves a pleasant trail behind you in the breeze. It's an overly strong musk mixed with a concoction of unripe tropical fruits. The musk is so strong that even the notoriously musky Erba Pura would beg for mercy in comparison. I'm a fan of unisex fragrances, but this one leans way too masculine for my taste.

SO very glad I only tested this and didn’t blind buy. Fruitiness was short and sweet and this moved rapidly into what I think of as “the standard niche base”. Very patchouli-heavy masculine and smells like a zillion other scents of last 10-15 years. Not what I was expecting at all from the notes description- very disappointing but my bank account is thankful!

This is masculine leaning in my opinion, there is prominent lime 🍋 and cedar 🪵 underneath the fruity 🍍🍊🥭 notes. I thought I’ll like it a lot more than I do. It gets softer in the dry down, but overall scent doesn’t stand out to me.

Don't fall for the bullshit hype on this! This is s a basic fresh fruity scent. This has NOTHING on tales from zanzibar!!!! This smells like Creme Imperial/Siesta Drive from Navitus. Once again, extreamly basic and common. If you want a proper fruity, cocktail hot weather banger then go for either Zanzibar or Lorenzo Pazzaglia Sun-Gria. You're welcome.

The opening was soooo promising! Bright and tropical, fruity and fun! 20 mins in the dry down took over and it’s a completely different fragrance. Heavy and overpowering, synthetic and headache inducing. A total jekyl and Hyde. Scrubbed my arm 3 times and used an alcohol wipe. It is still a headache bomb. Considering amputation of arm...

Not bad, very bad. It's an extremely synthetic and sweet scent. I couldn't stand it even when I tested it on my arm. I'm sure I'd throw up if I sprayed it on myself and went out.

Another one of the many GOF-esqe variants flooding the market. It smells pretty good, especially in the distant air and in its earlier silage (the little time it actually lasts). I did three sprays on my pillow case and returned to my room a few hours later (this is often how I test longevity) and it was essentially gone in ~3-4hrs. If I stuffed my nose into the pillow, I could still barely detect it. No one else was able to smell it either - especially weird because i sprayed both my skin and clothes with it many times too. On skin, gone in about 2 hours even with nose stuffed to skin. I'd like to blame skin dryness/chemistry, but the fact it's undetectable on various fabrics so quickly and this is confirmed by others makes me fairly confident. If you think I'm exaggerating on performance, look even at the votes, where about 50% of people are suggesting moderate or less in this category. Maybe does better in the warmer climate? Has still been a bit gloomy where I am. I think this company has engaged in great social media marketing and has been giving out free products - even to smaller creators - who have been pushing for this as the next best thing since sliced bread. If you have GOF, pacific chill, erba pura, or any fragrance that approximates that fresh fruity / tropical spectrum of scent, you can safely skip this. EDIT: I have a retail bottle that I unpackaged myself.

This starts off as a strong fruity, tropical lush but dark fragrance, fairly unisex, and then as it dries it becomes darker, richer, with very traditionally 'masculine' notes evolving and turning the fragrance into a tropical men's cologne. I had high hopes for this one-I thought it was going to be 'the one'. I have so many tropical/coconut themed fragrances and I've been on a quest to find the Excalibur of the fragrance world within this category and sadly, this is not the one for me. If you're a man looking for a great Summer vacation cologne-CHECK THIS OUT! The lime, ginger, patchouli and amber create a rather dark masculine accord that suspend all the lovely fruit notes and create a good backbone for this fragrance. At first, I think the combo of the amber, mango, and ginger were giving me God of Fire vibes. I think if you liked that as a man, but found it to be somewhat Fem leaning, give this a try. Max Aroma sells 5mL decant/travel sprays.

I will be the first to say that fruity fragrances are not my top choice. As someone who lives in a very cold high desert climate I don't get a lot of mileage out of tropical perfumes BUT if I had to pick one, this would be it! The passion fruit is the star and remains throughout but the great thing about this perfume is that there is some slight woodiness and muskiness in the base to balance out the sweetness. Performance is great, even from a dabber. I tried guava sorbet before this and this was far better in my opinion. The only tragedy of course, the price!

I've never heard of this brand before but I'm very much drawn to the flashy bottles and the note pyramid sounds amazing. I'm VERY close to purchasing Tales from Zanzibar (it's a powerhouse freshie with ginger, tropical fruits, and lime), but maybe I should try this one out before buying TFZ from MOAPC since ginger can be a really selective note for me to wear as I don't want to wear like ginger all the time and I have quite a few ginger dominant perfumes already. An incredible fruity tropical paradise. Super juicy passionfruit and pineapple, with some tart fruits to balance out the sweetness. Perfectly unisex with good performance. This is a no brainer if you like tropical fragrances.
