Mimoza

Over 40 male reviewer: My second favorite in the Meshaz line, this is an incredible floral, a class of fragrance I normally can't stand, with very few exceptions...this being a big one. I am not well-versed in flowers, so I don't know how to describe it other than as absolutely beautiful. 95% of the female perfume industry is just intolerable to my nose. THIS is what a female perfume should smell like. Completely non-offensive, none of the horrendous scratchy synthetic tone that SO many designer women's frags have, none of the plastic flower vomit, just a really soft and warm genuine Spring-like floral that you want to come back to over and over again. I have not actually worn this out, because in my opinion it is distinctly feminine. BUT, I do plan on wearing it publicly regardless. I may layer it as well with one of my favorite masculine fragrances. I am bold enough, daring enough, metrosexual enough and obnoxious enough to wear a women's frag if I dig it...and this one is at the very top of my list. It is not a big projector, so I think I'm safe regardless. ;) Meshaz has a wonderful line of scents. The ingredients pop in authenticity and high quality. She deserves more love and attention for putting together such a great line, absolutely comparable and of equal quality to DSH's fantastic material.

On me it didn't smell so much as real mimosa. A similar floral scent with other florals mixed in, and a lot sweeter.

When it comes to longevity and sillage, this is the weakest of all Meshaz perfumes on my skin. It is a beautiful, dreamy fragrance, nevertheless. A pity it doesn’t last longer. (On the other hand, if it were stronger, it probably would lose its dreamy, tender nature). “Mimoza” lives up to its name and depicts a softly blooming, yellow mimosa, not really sweet, more on the “natural”, greenish side, but very warm and soft. The beginning makes me wonder whether there is a bit of green jasmine in the scent, as I smell a tiny hint of indolic green for the first 5-10 minutes. This indolic touch disappears quickly, but a fresh, dry, unsweet green note surrounds the mimosa till the end. So, what I am wearing is a beautiful, authentic mimosa smell of soft, yellow blossoms with a hint of their dry, green leaves. The scent gets warmer by the minute, it stays “natural” however, by which I mean, there’s no additional sweetness added. It’s just the natural sweetness of the mimosa blossom and a tiny hint of accompanying green. After half an hour “Mimoza” turns into a skin scent on me, after about 3 hours it’s nearly gone, leaving only a fragile memory of warm yellow flower on my skin. Well, this at least gives me the opportunity to spray more often. :-)
