Michael Sheer

Love at first sniff. My first love has always been soft, light florals. This hits the mark in a big way for me. The floral composition is beautiful. Tuberose that is light, airy, and delicate; lily of the valley that is pure flowers without the addition of leaves and stems; yang that is slightly sweet but not fruity. Best yet, no gardenia. That added a heavy buttery aspect to Kor’s signature scent that just felt oppressive around me. It also hijacked all the other notes where after a time that’s all I could smell. This is just a clean and soft bouquet of flowers. The other notes are so well blended that none, except the sea water, stand out to me and appear to just add a supporting role to the flowers. The sea water note gives a slight beachy feel without going into beach scent territory. Everything is very smooth here. The dry down is a light soapiness as if you just washed with a fine milled soap. This is a really beautiful gossamer type scent that will be perfect for day wear in warmer weather.

I'm just coming here to say I love this perfume and I'm so sad that I only have 1 or 2 wears left in my bottle that I've been hoarding and will only bring out on the perfect spring or summer day. I smell the tuberose and jasmine and I find it very intoxicating. I'm so mad at the Michael Kors company for discontinuing some of my all time favorite fragrances. The original Michael by Michael Kors was my signature fall and winter signature scent, with Michael Kors Sheer pulling its weight for spring and summer. These are very sexy feminine fragrances that got complimented whenever I wore them. By discontinuing them they've sent me down a rabbit hole of looking for replacements. I have a small amount left of the sheer, but a 1.7oz of the OG that I haven't used yet, planning on wearing it on those days when I need to feel myself again. .

this is a nice sheer marine white floral...........its definitely not like michaels other scents which i really like but some can be a bit loud/heavy lol its very soft, safe, & delicate :) on me the stand out flowers are jasmine, lily of the valley & honeysuckle - these notes themselves can be a bit loud at times lol but in this formula they are actually soft - maybe its the seawater addition to it - i do get a little saltiness with the drydown which is rather nice :) perfect for an outdoor wedding , brunch in a garden , a day/nite at the theater or a picnic in the park - not overwhelming , soft & feminine :)

I tried OroNardo by Xinú and it reminded me of many white floral perfumes I already have, but the strongest resemblance was to Sheer. Doing a side by side, I found it is remarkably similar. Normally, I would suggest going with what used to be the much cheaper option, which was Sheer before it was discontinued, but unfortunately, the prices have now gone through the roof. But if you can find a deal, it would be a good substitute for the much more expensive OroNardo. Performance is about the same.

I own a bottle of this and usually mix it with other things. It has a nice muskiness and floral complexity that I appreciate, but it feels kind of unexciting to me by itself. It's interesting that it's called "Sheer," because without seeing the name, I thought of women's stockings in a department store. It reminds me of shopping with my mom in the 90s–it smells both conventional and commercial. It's also dependably relaxing. Overall a "nice" perfume, not a show-stopper.

One of my all time favourite summer frags. Beautiful, delicate & sexy. Such a shame I only discovered it just before it was discountinued. :( I used to get compliments every single day (if meeting new ppl) when wearing this. It reacted magically with my skin and stayed with me all day... smelling utterly delicioius. Spellbinding.

Blind buy from TJMaxx and I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. Been wearing it almost everyday for the past week. Summer in Texas is pretty oppressive, and I get really excited when I find a fragrance that can be worn in our hottest months. This checks off that box, yay. *I have to reapply midday, and do so with pleasure.

My signature scent. Although compared to Michael Kors Michael, and many others, there's nothing like this beauty. It outshines them all. It's soft, delicate, sensuous... Jasmine, honeysuckle and tuberose shine under a delicate veil. It's not loud, everyday, anytime scent. I just love it, I hope it never gets discontinued!

Omg this smells so so good! Its better han signature, light easy tuberose, fruit and Ylang ylang.. gorgeous! Longevity all day, sillage medium :)

Will always be my favourite perfume.

I have liked every single Michael Kors perfume I've tried. They're pretty, polite, interesting, and well-mannered scents. What I mean is they're not scent bombs, like a Mugler, nor are they sophisticated niche scents that takes years to "appreciate". No, they are usually basic, but not too basic, just basic enough so the scent is familiar and recognizable. Like the opening for Sheer, it reminiscent of sun tan lotion, but in the best way. Then the salt and bergamot fade away and you're replaced with the familiar white flowers that are in most of Kors scent. Yet wait, there's citrus in here and honeysuckle and they come out to play with the ylang-ylang while the all-familiar tuberose takes a back seat. I don't smell the amber or sandalwood, maybe it'll come out later, but I do get hints of heliotrope. The silage and strength are average. Just like all Kors perfumes, I don't love it, but I can't stop smelling my wrists, the scent is too pretty.

When I first sprayed this I got hit w/ an almost hairspray vibe and I thought oh no not a hairspray scent, but I give every perfume a chance and I'm happy to report that hairspray smell doesn't last 5 minutes. Sheer is a pretty chiffon like floral. It gives me visions of Bridal veils made of the most sheer and expensive fabric. This would make an excellent bridal perfume. I get a soft lily, lily of the valley, clean tuberose, bright yellow marigolds and a real lovely soft warmth from cloves. Powdery heliotrope comes in w/ the dry down w/ subtle vanillic and almond like shades. This perfume is sweet but not gourmand. The woods here are subtle and creamy. Nothing about this perfume is rough. Sheer is delicate, worn by a woman of gentleness and soft femininity. Really beautiful.

This is a lighter and more watery version of the original Michael Kors. Tuberose is still the feature to my nose but I couldn't help but smell similar notes from Marc Jacob's original scent in this as well sans the gardenia. In fact if I had to give a quick synopsis of it I would say it's a cross between the two. This is especially beautiful in the summer but can be worn year round. I purchased it hoping some of the listed honeysuckle would come through but sadly none ever materialized. Overall though this is a wonderful variant of the MK original and definitely worth a try if you can find a bottle.

Although it is name is Sheer,it is not sheer at all.Very thick with good projection.I am very impressed of the smell.I bought it blind thinking it will be something like fresher more modern Amarige or fresher Michael Kors OG,but it resembles Chanel 5 leau a lot on my skin.It is creamy with dominant marigold note on me.A liitle bit retro ,but in a good way,very different from all sweet fragrances nowadays.It is very warm thick creamy marigold and white flowers in a Chanel way.I am happy.!

I am generally not a floral fan but, like Wonderlust, this floral has a great balance that makes it smell great without being overwhelming. If I was ever going to reach for a floral this might be one that I would choose. Unfortunately, this fragrance lacks longevity on my skin. It seems most Michael Kors fragrances fade within 3 hours on my skin. I plan on getting a small decant, 4 to 5 ml, for the rare occasion where I want to have that floral punch.

Gorgeous fragrance! I get a really sheer tuberose and a sheer jasmine. Feminine and sensual, but light. Great for spring and summer. If it would only project better and lasted longer... But one can't have it all. Final conclusion: Another great white floral from Michael Kors. He is the best in this category.

"anisated" tuberose + soft marine-floral note: evening-primrose? (Oenothera biennis) + musk essetial oil. The musk note is thick, oily (like the scent inside esoteric shops). Interesting, appropiate for colder seasons.

I feel like this is the definition of an "okay" scent. It's so safe that I have actually forgotten I'm even wearing it. Nothing stands out about it at all. If that's your jam, then give this scent a shot

The accords on this are wrong. This is a cloyingly sweet floral targeted at the La Vie Est Belle market. Sweet florals made far sweeter than nature ever intended. The opening is overwhelming. "Sheer" must refer to the drydown when it becomes much weaker and more wearable. You can smell the target marketing on this one. One for the candy gourmand crowd who can't justify another vanilla so instead it's a hypersweet floral. Not at all for me, but neither is LVEB or Cloud.

It would be safe to say that Michael Kors fragrances are fairly predictable. When I say predictable, I mean it in terms of simplicity. Michael Kors isn't one of those over-the-top Haute Couture designers. His design aesthetic is simple elegance, and his fragrances, with a few exceptions, follow his design aesthetic. I own a majority of his perfumes, and I love them. That aside, I do not care for Sheer at all. I get no citrus opening, nor do I get any jasmine, Lilly of the Valley, or Tuberose. I mean come on... Tuberose is pretty much a staple note in a lot of his fragrances. I get none of that here at all, This is supposed to be an aquatic fragrance? When I think of an aquatic fragrance, I think fresh, light, and of course watery. Nope, not on me. On my skin, all I get is musky marigold and a whole lot of Vetiver. That's it. After reading some of these reviews, I thought this scent would be right up my alley, but it just isn't. It makes me wonder if this fragrance has been reformulated because I don't get any of the 'delicateness' that is so often described here. On me, it's harsh and unappealing. I've only sprayed this on my skin once, and that was enough. So disappointed. :(

I sprayed this on my wrist and went outside right after. It's 50 degrees and the crisp air made the fragrance crystal clear. It smelled amazing, I inhaled and literally went "ahhh", like those Downy sniffing commercials, haha. I hadn't payed attention to tuberose in the past but when I smelled Gucci Bloom for the first time I thought it was much too thick. The tuberose in that fragrance is so heavy with the rest of the notes. The tuberose here is fresh and the jasmine and lily of the valley make it delicate and angelic. I LOVE this combination of notes! 😍 It's just lovely! 5/31- editing to add: I haven't really smelled marigolds in a fragrance before, that I know of, so it took me a while to realize I can pick them out! They're so pretty. I smell the rose also now and the lemon too. It's warmed up quite a bit, it will get over 100° F today and the heat has given more notes the chance to peek through. I'm in love with this heavenly fragrance! 😇💙

In 2018, Michael Kors sheer was one of my last-minute purchases before I boarded a flight. The shop assistant told me it was the last piece, and I tried it on and immediately fell in love at first sniff. I took it to India and enjoyed my entire vacation with that fragrance; it’s almost finished. I even took a picture of the perfume bottle before I threw it away, hoping I could find the same one again someday. That perfume became my signature scent, and I felt so connected to it. When I returned to Qatar, I went straight to the store to look for it, only to be told it had been discontinued. I felt a deep sadness hearing that, as after all this time, I finally found my signature scent, and now it was gone. Even in 2026, I still search for something similar, holding onto hope that I might find another that makes me feel just as special.

I recently bought two XINU perfumes ~ the very wonderful Tuberose-centered *Oro Nardo* and *Ummo* because I'm a sucker for all (unique) things Tobacco. I'm happy with both. I read something somewhere that said Michael Kors *SHEER* is a close cousin to *Oro Nardo*. Wow. I'd not heard of XINU until minutes before I purchased the two perfumes. Now I'm seeing an opportunity to have a similar *Oro Nardo* tuberose perfume for a fraction ($77) of the price; I ordered a bottle. Proving once again that everyone's nose is different....*SHEER* is, at best, a distant (adopted) relative of *Oro Nardo* It's very light....(too light for me) and I barely smell Tuberose. It's back in the box....I'm thinking my neighbor's nine year old daughter will get *SHEER* for Valentines Day. Live and learn. (Ha!)

Top notes of fresh marine accords, bergamot, lemon and mandarin were beautiful on my skin. It smelled so clean - albeit a little sharp with an alcohol note to me. A few moments later, blending with the first scents, the floral “heart” notes of geranium, jasmine, lily of the valley, honeysuckle, rose, tuberose, marigold, and ylang-ylang made me feel so feminine and sexy! With my heat chemistry, I wish the notes would have ended there. Clove, cassis wood, cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, heliotrope, amber and musk as the base notes were just too much for me. Notes of amber, any woody notes, and musk make me nauseated. Eventually, all I could pick up was a powdery, mature lady scent. I had to wash it off with soap and water. It’s a no for me.

I blind bought this hoping that it would be a lighter and fresher flanker of the original Michael Kors perfume. Which is my all time favourite. Unfortunately this is very jasmin heavy and it makes it heady. None the less it’s a nice scent if you like jasmine. I unfortunately do not so I’ll be selling my bottle and hopefully make someone else happy with it :)

All I smell is gardenia. So it must be the honeysuckle. But that's it. It stays awhile so there must be something anchori g it I'm not smelling. Perhaps the scent has disintegrated. Sometimes that causes bad notes which are not here. But sometimes it causes just a very linear smell. Unless someone tampered with it for profit. The bottle is correct.

This is absolutely divine, had a sniff of it the other day in Ulta. I was never a big fan of Tuberose until i tried this one. WAW!!! The most beautiful white floral i've tried. The tuberose is so light and is in harmony with the aquatic notes and the yellow floral, with the soft cedar and sandalwood base. what a masterpiece! <3

I love this fragrance. It's much smoother and not as intrusive as the Michael Kors original. The bergamot is beautifully balanced with the soft jasmine and warm tuberose. Now if Kors would just bring it back on the market all would be well! It's rarely available.

I have the Michael Kors Eau de Parfum, which doesn't appear in the list of his fragrances. I don't remember where I got it! I obviously didn't test it because it is too flowery for my skin and kind of Fracassy :) I guess I will try it again in the summer.

Lighter Givenchy Amarige. That's it.
