Sexy Amber

This is how an 'all sorted', class, clean, women with pride and elegance, but still humble and loving, sexy (not cheap, on your face kind of sexy, but the woman who knows it all), carries herself like a queen, would smell. She never needs to wait to "be chosen", the right man would find her and fall in love with her for who she is. But you need to give her time to get the beauty of her. It is not the amber that is the star of the show, but the creamy sandalwood and white flowers that does it all. You need to wear her at the right time, on a right day to see her full bloom on you. Not mass pleasing, she is special, for a kind of woman, who is one in a million. A few months ago, in deep winter, i hated it at first go. I gave it a 2nd try in spring yesterday... I fell for it, couldn't stop sniffing myself, ordered a FB. Definitely signature scent worthy. Long lasting and a decent sillage without screaming. You will know her presence a feet away. "Elegance" is one word I can define this fragrance.

This is sooooooooo good! I don't know about anyone else but I am sick of the over saturation of gourmands. Not every new scent that comes out needs to smell like food. Sexy Amber is a nostalgia scent. Brings me back to the days of entering a department store beauty department and all you smell in the air is the mingling of all of the perfumes. I happen to love that scent memory and makes me so happy. This is what Sexy amber reminds me of. A gorgeous perfumey ambery scent that is reminiscent of the late 90's and early 2000's. It's so comforting and classy. Definitely for the slightly older crowd. Millennials will find this scent dated but I don't care. Makes me smile whenever I wear it. Chanel Allure was my first ever luxury purchase, and this shares a similar DNA. So yeah, it's a classic in my opinion. Starts off strong but once it warms up on your body, it has moderate wear. On your clothes, it lasts all day. Overall, I am loving it and it's cheap too!

I shouldn’t be surprised or offended at some of the harsh reviews. Years ago, at the beginning of my fragrance journey, I tested Sexy Amber in a store and marked it as a definite 'dislike'. A few years after that I tested Chanel Allure, unaware that these are supposedly 'similar', and LOVED IT. When I eventually found out about the similarity I wondered if I should try Sexy Amber again now that my nose is developed and I have broader taste. I saw it on clearance at Marshall's and snatched it up hoping I was right. I wasn't going to let a bad reaction to a perfume's opening on a tester strip 7 years ago dissuade me. Well it turned from a dislike to a love! It's very creamy, powdery, somewhat like Allure but definitely it's own fragrance. I agree that it smells like that moroccan argan oil shampoo! Maybe it has a slight masculine edge but I like that. It also has an 'old' feel to it. I think this is very sexy and dare I say milfy.

This perfume is one of the best fragrances I have purchased in the past four years ! No disappointments for me with Sexy Amber , though I think the quality of the scent merits a more interesting name . I like it because it is a close dupe to the fabulous original Allure by Chanel from around 1998 . In those days Allure was long lasting and complex and high quality , unlike the poorly reformulated wimpy and watered down current version that leaves me feeling robbed and resentful . Sexy Amber is complex, smooth, feminine, sophisticated and very versatile . I love the rich, soft , amber and the longevity and moderate sillage. This perfume is a great value and I will buy a backup quickly , because I miss the old Chanel Allure terribly . My hat is off to Michael Kors with this creation .

This fragrance is extremely addictive. It’s such a cozy, easy scent to wear, feels like the warmest hug from someone you love. It also layers incredibly well with other fragrances, so far I’ve tried it with Lataffa Eclair and Narciso Rodriguez Her EDP and they were both beautiful. The fragrance itself is warm, musky and slightly sweet, I think it is definitely unisex, If I walked past someone wearing it I would be enthralled. I’m interested to see how it performs in warmer weather! It's a sweet delicate amber woody floral scent, a bit bergamotish, easy to wear, a good discovery. I recommend to try it out. Looking at the notes, I got a Mugler Alien vibe (which is too heavy for my taste) and I wasn't sure I would like it, I'm used to fruitier sweeter scents, but I was pleasantly surprise. I think the soft sweetness makes this perfume more round and likeable for me. It starts with an moderate strong projection, but not aggressive like I feared. Then after 2-3 hours the sillage is more moderate and around 6-8 hours it's softer. I got compliments, my mom loves it, I definitively enjoy wearing it, but I feel I need to try it more. I will gladly finish my sample as a cozy everyday perfume to keep me warm for the colder days. Edit: I bought it!

It’s funny I noticed below the references to cat pee, and usually I’m the one that can pick that out from a mile away but I don’t get it at all with Sexy Amber..it has the allure- fuzzy, peachy powdery quality, but I don’t get any urine. Sexy amber does land in more floral on your skin than allure. With Allure I get more of a rich body if you will.. If anything, I might prefer this more, I think it smells slightly more modern. And goes without saying it’s definitely cheaper. I do think if you like the scent profile of allure, you’ll enjoy this. Longevity and projection are not as good in my experience, but only requires a top off midday to get you through the evening..

Sexy Amber! It smells a little animalic to me -- I even get a bit of the pee element that other reviewers have noticed, but still find it beautiful and classy. I was at a friend's house for dinner last night and she had a bottle of Chanel Allure in her bathroom so I grabbed a sniff and indeed recognize a strong resemblance between these two scents. I smell a lot of white flowers in Sexy Amber, not identical to but still reminiscent of Jacomo For Her, another animalic white flowers scent. I really like/borderline love this one for when I want to wear something classy and put together but still sexy and warm. :)

Sexy Amber is a very pleasantly pretty and girly perfume. With notes of amber, sandalwood and white florals, the composition of this scent may seem simple but it’s actually quite alluring. Sexy Amber is one of those type of fragrances that will pervade your senses. I smell a heavy dose of jasmine and gardenia. The combination of white florals and that amber are deliciously divine. Sexy Amber is a very easy fragrance to wear. It’s great for the day or nighttime. I really adore this scent. My only gripe is that it doesn’t last very long. I get about 4-6 hours of wear. I think it’s better suited for the summer.

Ok, so I'm a sucker for loud, alluring, scent trail fragrances like Alien, Angel, Flowerbomb and this adds to the category of such things. I don't wear it often but when I do I get sooooo many compliments! I bought the gift set and I almost always use the shower gel, then I layer myself in the lotion and then use three spritz of the perfume. It can be overused and overwhelming if used more than 3 spritz. But I love it! No disappointments over this way! I recommend this for anytime of the day. You won't be disappointed :)

Lasted long on my cloths, but not on the skin. Very warm and cozy smell. I heard an opinion that this perfume is for an elderly lady. For me, it is a scent of comfort and elegance, but not sexuality. So the name of the perfume can be confusing. Edt: People say it reminds them Allure from Chanel. It could be very distant. Allure is very sharp and sweet, even has some sort of sour dairy notes; it reminds me about hair spray. Sexy Amber is more balanced and soft.

Rediscovered this after 5 years. And I can only say - Wow. This scent is amazing. Literally sexy. It'll make you feel empowered. Feminine. Strong. Beautiful. Embraces and illuminates your true self, like a soft spotlight on you. Gloriously radiant and cosy fragrance that simultaneously feels like a cosy blanket, and ammunition for seduction: it will bend to your mood, because you wear it; it doesn't wear you. Love! Love! Love! ❤️

TLDR: 8/10. 💜 Now personally, I really like this scent. Very classy, very sexy. The amber and sandalwood notes smell especially nice after it's settled on my skin after a little while, it's almost addictive. But I'm also very into amber, woody scents. Great for any time of day, but I think it's especially fitting for nighttime outings. Just wish it had a stronger radius, I guess.

I really love this scent! It's a warm sweet amber scent with some floral and woodsy notes. I would only wear this in the fall, or winter. It's long lasting with a strong sillage. It's my most complimented perfume. It smells similar to Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf if you want a more affordable option option that's woodsy instead of having patchouli.

This is my go to perfume for the colder winter months. It is such a warm and cozy scent that lingers all day. The amber is very potent in this which I love. It doesn't smell floral at all to me and as the day goes on it slowly switches from sweet to musky which I really enjoy. It is a soft and feminine smell that I highly recommend.

Oh wow!! I went to buy a different perfume, but while I was there I wanted to test this as saw it was a close scent, to the discontinued Donna Karen Cashmere Mist perfume, as I use to love that. As soon as a smelt this I had to have it. Utterly beautiful, such a gorgeous scent!! This is going in my daily everyday perfume rotation!!

I love this perfume even though most people my age seem to hate it. Its ambery and woody with a vintage quality. Also kinda powdery. Definitely more mature but SEXY, like when people say a fragrance smells sexy this is what pops up for me. Going through a second or third sample right now, maybe I should consider a full one...

Smells like sexy baby powder, and I love baby powder perfumes! One of the few perfumes that I have used a whole bottle of (I have a large collection). I DO find this to be sexy, unlike a lot of the comments here. Just goes to show how everyone perceives scents differently. My favorite of Michael Kors.

I was looking for a lighter version of Allure for summer, and then I remembered this scent. I had this before but did not appreciate it enough. It is so good in summertime, in humid weather, as well as in winter. It last all day and it is fresh and cozy. My bf likes it too which is a plus.

I love it! And I can't understand, it has only 3 notes?!?! Anyway - well blended, cosy, warm, sexy. On my cold skin opens perfect and lasts all day! Love it in every weather - from cold winter day till hot summer night. It was love from first sniff.

This is gorgeous! Sexy Amber is the perfect name for it. It's a real glamorous showstopper! The amber is sparkling and loud but not obnoxious, just sexy and flirty. A perfect 3rd date fragrance or for an evening attending a special event.

This is beautiful. Simple and elegant, I just love it. So warm and cosy,like snuggling up to your lover with a big woolly jumper on. Amber is dominant. Lives up to its "sexy" claim. Doesn't last long unfortunately!

This is truly underrated. It smells like Allure by Chanel before they watered it down. This is warm, sexy, rich, lasting . Far better than Allure now, and Allure was my favorite perfume for years. Great perfume !

Literally smells like the name, sexy amber. its a sexy, spicy affordable fragrance. id purchase dosen bottles of this anytime, it just never leaves my shelve. pretty underrated, deserves some hype yo be honest

This is a deliciously sweet, rich amber with a touch of powdery florals. Simple yet elegant and definitely sexy! Great for cooler weather Projects like crazy & lasts long as well 10/10

If you are looking for a nice smell, lots of compliments, and not spending a lot of money, this one is great. Don’t get me wrong this doesn’t smell cheap. It’s up there with Chanel.

Woody Dry Amber So, Sexy Amber. The thing that sticks out for me is its lack of sweetness, and absence of patchouli. So many ambers are chock full of patchouli, and are unbearably sweet for some reason. This is pleasantly dry, and instead of patchouli for woods, sandalwood is used instead. I like that. SA is pretty linear, it is mostly a super sandy, dry, woody amber, a hint of white flowers, mostly gardenia, and a musky/powdery sandalwood. It really is a 'your skin but better' type of scent, and it reminds me a lot of Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess, minus the coconut, of course. It lasts a really long time on my skin, 8+ hours, and I like it in the winter, but it think it will wear better in the summertime on heated skin--warm skin seems really bring out the floral notes. It's not old school sexy, but it isn't today's equivalent of sexy, either, with usually lies somewhere around smelling like a vanilla frosted cupcake with a side of hot chocolate. I actually don't have another amber that smells like this does, but now I do, and that concludes the story of why TillyWave has a Michael Kors Sexy Perfume on her shelf. PS--I see that Harry Fremont is credited for Bronze Goddess (2012) so that makes a lot of sense that I would find them to be similar in feel.

something about the way this develops on skin must really depend on your body chemistry. i sprayed this at my local ulta after liking it on the tester and forgot about it... i walked away to swatch some things on my hand and then kept thinking to myself, 'what is that lovely jasmine?' it was ME. definitely wasn't expecting that white floral to be the dominant accord but re:my username i wasn't mad about it at all. i'm very sensitive to animalic scents, and i didn't get any sort of animalic scent from this at all. amber didn't even feel like the dominant accord on me despite the scent's name -- this was a jasmine-forward scent intermingled with a sweet, almost fruity amber that i got whenever my wrists came close to my face. stayed that way the whole 3-4 hours it was projecting for until it faded into a skin scent. despite it being a designer perfume, i would definitely not consider this a safe blind buy considering how inconsistent the reviews are. i don't think i would buy a full bottle of it despite liking the scent, but it might be a fun travel bottle for me.

I like it. It is a soapy scent. Smells very much like dove body wash to me. I think it is a great bedtime fragrance or for a day of lounging around the house and doing nothing. Would I buy it again, maybe. I did 1 spray on my hand at bedtime and 6 hours later I could still smell it. Edit: I had a fight with this fragrance and unfortunately I lost. For some reason I just couldn't learn to love it and despite it having great longevity and being very strong, the thought of wearing it became nauseating to me. I decided to sell my bottle because I have no desire to wear it. 1 spray Longevity: over 6 hours Sillage: Projects pretty far around you. I would say around 3 feet Blind buy safe: It is very strong and smells like dove body wash to me so yeah, if you like to smell shower fresh. If you would rather smell stinky then no. Repurchase: NOPE! While it is a nice fragrance, I just don't love it and I feel forced to wear it because I own it so I am selling it and will never own it again.

Oh wow! Was doing some cleaning and found my lip luster and rollerball combo! I tried it on my skin and absolutely loved it. I'm usually very picky about white floral perfumes, usually they will come across to sharp and I end up getting a headache, but this is really beautiful, it smells.. sparkly? sudsy? I'm not sure how to explain it, but it really hits you just right. It's a creamy, warm, amber floral fragrance.. just as stated. I disagree with people saying this is for cold weather, the cold air would give you that sharp scent. I hate, HATE strong floral fragrances in the winter. Yuck! To me, this is very much a summer fragrance. You could dress it up or down. I can picture myself in a big cozy sweater and sipping tea while smelling this gorgeous fragrance. But I can also see myself in a tight black dress and pearls in a fancy night party with suits and champagne. It really love it. I'll definitely be purchasing a full bottle

I bought this blind after seeing so many recommendations for it. I sprayed it and thought 'this reminds me of something' and then it hit me. Chanel Allure (which I already have). Facepalm. If I were to compare the two, I'd choose Allure because it has more of a warm, peachy vibe. This one is a little heavier on the amber. I think the reviews here are a little harsh. I agree that its a mature perfume. It has that feel of a 90s scent, with a strong alcohol top note and deep amber base. It's heavy and rich, this is not an airy/floral/fresh scent by any means. It's very 'perfumey' at first, when the alcohol is settling it smells a bit like hairspray and is a bit harsh. Once it settles it has a rich, resinous warmth that is comforting but also elegant. I can imagine wearing this when you want to feel empowered because it has a boss bi*ch vibe to it.

Resembles most of all Karl Lagerfeld Divino Rome Amore. I have both of those scents and they are completely identical and notes listed are the same. Divino only has more notes listed. Very easy going, happy, feminine scent of the luxe fragrance of middle class. It does not pretends on anything else higher. (not Chanel "Allure" ...nooo ). So it is just nice and pleasant. Projection is medium, staying power is medium.There is no resemblance to sexuality. I would imagine some lady sitting on the beach of some river or lake. Sunny day, jasmine or orange flowers bush nearby is blossoming, light sunscreen on her skin.. she is just sitting there perhaps alone and just enjoying the weather and nature.

I would never have picked this up as I tend to dislike "amber" fragrances BUT - husband chose this as a gift when he tested some fragrances in store to see what he liked. I tend to go for fresh or fruity perfumes, or skin scents, so when he produced this as a surprise I was really afraid I would hate it (or that it would give me a migraine as amber-y, cashmere-y perfumes often do). I was pleased, though - this is a bit softer than many of those perfumes, perhaps because of the fewer different notes involved. I really like it (and husband adores it, for what it's worth). If you are not into ambers but are amber-curious, give it a go. I think it gets a lot of unwarranted hate.

Amber is a favorite note of mine, but this perfume isn't like any other amber perfumes I've tried. It smells like a dry floral with a slightly soapy and musky quality. Best for women 25-30+ but in no way matronly. Understated, sophisticated, subtle. It smells a lot like TokyoMilk Sonoran Bloom, which I don't understand given the completely different notes. I like it for daytime wear. Love the classy heavy bottle design with the characteristic gold hardware cap. Not really sexy or sweet in my opinion, but self-assured and independent. "The cool aunt."

A classic, almost vintage amber. Not the sweet gooey amber of today, but the older, opulent, inedible style. I agree with other commenters who say this leans animalic; fortunately, it does so without ever crossing the line into smelling "gross". Reminds me slightly of Lancome's Tresor and Donna Karan's Gold. It smells like those two perfumes mixed together, then toned waaayy down. It's a very wearable scent, one that should be generally inoffensive and safe for the office. I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a versatile perfume!

in the beginning i get a soft woods and cashmeran type of scent, with a hint of vanilla or something similar. later i get some florals but they are non-descript. it's like a softly woody, creamy floral. then, the florals get stronger over time. this reminds me of some other perfume i tried that had a synthetic jasmine note. overall, i don't find it super ambery or sexy. it's more cozy but the floral note goes a bit harsh. it has a vintage feel. i kind of like it but something about it doesn't sit quite right either. i'll have to retry later.

This is a lovely creamy, warm amber fragrance. Cozy but still elegant. Is it sexy? In a more subtle way. It's sensual. It's amber forward so that has to be appealing to you. White florals are there with jasmine and I feel like that gives it the elegance. It's not loud, it wears fairly close to the skin. There is some sweetness to it from the florals but I don't consider it a sweet perfume. I think this could work as well in the daytime as an evening out. Quite easy to wear anywhere.

I bought this perfume before smelling it as I needed one for autumn/winter and I definitely made the right choice. I'm not usually a lover of amber as I think it can be overpowering but this just smells amazing. It starts out as a strong warm amber and gets softened by the sandalwood and florals in the dry down. Definitely perfect for autumn and winter as it's such a warm, cozy scent. It smells like a crisp autumn morning. It projects very well and is very long lasting on clothing

This reminds me of pure honey by Kim kardashian, but a less potent version of it. It also seems like it was reformulated at some point, i say that because it’s not as rich or long lasting as before. But I still do like it a lot. Sexy Amber is a clean, ambery musk. I don’t really pick up any florals. think it could be an everyday scent, although it’s not going to amaze anyone. **This got decluttered from my collection. It’s too much of a pure amber scent for me.

I got this as a gift unexpectedly and I'm happy that I did. It's a very classy aroma, I would say. The opening does have a little bit of a pee note, as someone else said I can imagine how it would smell like pee but it dries down quick to a very pretty scent. I really enjoy it. I wore it in intense heat yesterday (35+ degrees Celsius) and it held up very well, to me it wasn't cloying nor suffocating, it was great. I can't wait to wear it again!
