The opening is the freshly popped cork or Armenian pomegranate wine. I'm not a wine guy, but it is remarkably pleasant and does a terrific job of intriguing you and drawing you into the experience with a genuine allure, rather than a simple niceness or premature crescendo. As it seems away into an early drydown, there are hints of Givenchy Pi and, in this stage, is the only place I get that "Nashville studio vibe" the fragrancer tries instructing into your experience. As the drydown develops, it smells more like an opera house ore ballet theater. Not ostentatiously opulent or gauche old-money-aping. Just the smell of the place designed for society and plebians to comfortably coexist. The vanilla mixes with the resins and sandalwood in such a way to evoke well-maintained old, wood construction and ornamentation. The jasmine and tobacco coalesce into curtains, upholstery, and other patrons themselves. It is very, very cozy to say the least.

Composer is a nice fragrance. Smells very red with blooms of brown and beige. A good night out/date/ or s&m scent. Passion, dark leather and tobacco. A touch of saltiness via the amboxan A warm start. But, a sweeter dark note starts to dominate on dry down Very well blended

Got a sample bottle of this I ordered online to test it. I have to agree with the post before me. I do not get any Born in Roma vibes from this at all. The sweetness in this is a completely different sweetness. It's definitely a fruity sweetness in this one in the opening. Off the top I get the pomegranate and the tobacco both very clearly and the currant is very faint. I don't get any of the citrus from the bergamot. For me the tobacco could replace the bergamot in the top notes as one isn't present and the other is right there off the top, no waiting for the dry down for it to come in. After about 10 minutes or so I do get what could be lavender even though it's not a listed note, but the sweetness is still a fruity sweetness, not similar to Born in Roma. By the mid, the pomegranate is almost gone. If I'm looking for it, I can pick it up faintly, but somebody smelling you, not knowing that it's there likely wouldn't register that it's there. At that point I'm getting the tobacco, still that unlisted lavender and vanilla has started to come through faintly as the main notes. From that point on it doesn't really change much other than the pomegranate continuing to fade and the vanilla continuing to come forward. The tobacco stays there throughout and the notes around it just change as far as which ones come forward and which ones fade back. At that point if you told me I had to pick a Born in Roma to find it similar to, it would be Coral Fantasy due to the tobacco. I would not however say it smells similar to that one, just that it's the closest one if I had to pick, and the only reason it even comes to mind is because of seeing this compared to Born in Roma already. Overall I would say this is a pleasant scent and isn't really that close to any I have in my collection to make it redundant. For some reason I'm just not a huge fan of it though. I can't pick out anything that is offensive about it, or a specific note that makes me not like it, but for some reason it's just ok. This is a perfect example of taste being subjective as even though I can't find anything specific that I dislike about it, and even though I do enjoy that pomegranate in the opening, overall I just don't really connect with this one and don't see myself purchasing a bottle.

Was extremely disappointed with this. Not that it smells bad, but its very close to Valentino born in roma intense. I get no red currant note, which was one of the reasons I wanted this in the first place. I suppose one could imagine the sweetness in this being a pomegranate note, but smells much more like the lavender mixed with vanilla in born in roma intense.

I tried this along with Cartoonist for the second time. Same conclusion - nothing special. I like this one better than Cartoonist but I would never reach for either. They both smell cheap, frankly.

Someone made a comment about it smelling close to Valentino Born In Roma, which is just absurd. This fragrance has a mind of its own and doesn't reflect Born In Roma fat all... You get a super dark fruity opening that lingers for about an hour, and once the high notes die down, the tobacco starts to reveal itself in punchy waves with vanilla + pom + sandalwood resting notes. It's a medium toned fragrance that echoes decently when put on clothes, the pom notes are subtle, though I see where a lot come from when they say they're hard to smell. They smell almost tied into the tobacco which may be the reason for this. Worth the price? Potentially, but catch a sale on it.

Best way I can describe it is go spray 3 sprays of born in roma intense on and 1 of coral fantasy is basically born in Roma intense with tobacco from coral fantasy
