Wood + Cardamom

Just opened the box to this. Right out the gate, this is pretty good. Now, the name is a bit misleading as there is a pronounced rose in this fragrance, especially up top. Maybe the cardamom is a bit thin, as I'm barely picking it up. But the woods are here. So, all in all, I'm getting as much rose as woods, with a sprinkle of green apple and dusting of cardamom. But I'm going to find very good use out of this. This will work very well in the office since the projection is really heavy for about 40 minutes then sits closer. Any gender could pull this off. I wouldn't wear this in the heat, but other weather is fine...fall being the best. It hasn't had the chance to dry completely, so I'll return to finish this review in about a week or so. 2/1/2026: After working with this fragrance for a week or so, the blend and longevity has improved significantly since the first testing. The blend itself has improved with the notes expressing themselves more. The green apple and cardamom are popping through more easier. It's getting more earthy on the drydown and a vetiver type of woody note is included as well. Could be other woods creating that vetiver accord, but it definitely adds depth and not soil rootiness that note could be associated with. Another surprise is how much the longevity has improved (or maybe my nose is just picking up on the scent better). Out the box, I was getting about 6.5 to 7 hours. Yesterday, I got about 10. This fragrance is a powerhouse in my opinion for anyone that has a thing for woody fragrances. It seems fairly versatile as well because the fragrance doesn't throw aggressive vibes with it's projection, but more ethereal and airy...but again very noticeable. This is my favorite from the house so far!

Dont see many reviews on here so I thought I’d write one. The name is quite misleading as the is a mix of predominantly green apple, rose, and sandalwood. It opens up with a bright apple and creamy sandalwood that is absolutely beautiful. After 5 minutes, a good amount of rose comes through which just completes this scent. It slightly sweet, slightly creamy, slightly powdery, and slight floral. A good amount of everything and really balanced. Performance easily 10+ hours with great projection. I think its perfectly unisex and definitely the best out if the Michael Malul line

OMG! This is extremely good stuff. I agree with the person below me...that rose has a more fruity nuance to it as opposed to something floral. This will be a mainstay in my collection moving forward. I'm glad I took a chance on this fragrance after smelling it and wearing on skin, but only a short amount of time to test...which I don't recommend for others (definitely give fragrances a full wear if you can before buying, especially if you're a novice to this game). I VERY rarely buy fragrances over $100, but I deem this fragrance worthy for me.

Bought it expecting more of a green woody scent by the name, but it’s predominantly sandalwood, rose, and musk. The perfumer is Iranian, and I’ve gotten several compliments from Persian women on it, so he knows the local scent preference! If you don’t want to smell Persian or like roses, look elsewhere. Otherwise, I think it’s a great date night scent.

very nice cardomom with a soft projection , touchs of saffron and rose . love it
