Sexual Pour Homme

So I meet with this guy for another fragrance purchase. He shows me the bottle of Legend I’m there to buy, I give it a spray and a smell, and everything seems in order. He then reveals his bag of treasures and pulls out a bottle of Sexual por Homme. I’ve never seen the bottle, never heard of Michel Germain, never heard of Canada. SO. He pops the cap and hands me the bottle. I take one whiff of the spray nozzle at about an inch away, and my immediate and unhesitatingly quick response was, “set that aside with the bottle of Legend.” and we moved on to a few other fragrances he had with him for sale. Needless to say, I bought the bottle of Sexual and I dropped about 4 sprays into my air vents on my way home with it. It’s gourmand in character for me, but not to the degree of edibility. It’s the well rounded melon note in there that’s just, kind of a dry succulence. There are unique notes in this fragrance that remind me of something I’ve smelled as a child, and quite frankly, the $35 he let me rob him of the 4.2oz bottle for was worth every penny. He must have a pretty good fragrance guy. Anyway, if you buy fragrances for the simple sake of “I want my lady to like the way I smell”, or you just kind of want to stand out in a crowd, go ahead and pick up a bottle. I wear this one to bed, and wake up in 7 hours still picking it up off the back of my hand. It doesn’t project super loudly, but for the first few hours, you can expect people to notice if you’re walking by, or within arm’s reach. 8/10 for me.

Typical but not really typical. Woody but not too woody, sweet but not too sweet, fresh but not aquatic as most modern fragrances. In my opinion recommend only for man. There is nothing feminine in this perfume. I'm not able to recognize any melon but it is full of gardenia, patchouli and tonka. Also strong undertone is lavender mixed with sage. Kill me if there is no neroli. Neroli together with tonka both give it that similar sting as the custo man by Custo Barcelona has. The finish is woody and musky ... mostly created by sandalwood and white musk. Sexual was my dream for very long time when I found it in Saskatoon in Canada. Unfortunately it is not cammon in Europe but for sure worth to try. Now I have it and I'm using Sexual as evening or weekend fragrance when I need good perfume to relax.

I don't understand how everyone has become a professional nose and consider themselves scent connisseurs when they smell "chemical" in a fragrance. Everytime I have worn this fragrance, I get nothing but compliments. I believe this house has mastered the lavender note. It's a timeless scent in the fact that my female friends and exes bring up the fragrance and how they remember me from college, upwards of 20 years ago. The scent has created a memory response trigger. My wife always refers to our younger days whenever she smells this fragrance. I'll always be a fan because it truly makes you stand out, it creates memories for the women in your life, and it lifts your confidence. Despite being a niche collector, Sexual will always be in my collection, it is unique in itself.

A beautifully composed, underrated gem. A full-bodied, stout fragrance that combines freshness with depth. There’s not much like it in today’s market and it even turned heads back in the early 2000s when it was in my regular rotation. It’s back in my rotation these days and it’s the same as ever, apart from wearing a bit lighter, though it still seems a beastly performer regardless. Don’t let the name of this fragrance put you off, though it is what it says. To my nose it’s timeless, and what’s more, it can be had for a song.

My favorite cologne ever besides Dior's Fahrenheit which ties as my favorite also. This last all day AND night. Not only is it the best smell ever, it's aphrodisiac infused lol. Now I'm only 17 but this is the best cologne I have ever owned besides Fahrenheit (not that they smell alike) it's just they smell so dang good it's hard to stay away #confession I'll put this on and when nobodies looking, I'll smell my wrist lol

I've never smelled scent that I love and can see myself wearing but not right now. I feel like this would be a little more suitable on me when I'm older. It's not dated or anything like that ... it's not dark it's not brut or anything like that. It's fresh and slightly sweet but has a depth to it. OMG This is soooooo NICE ! Soooo NICE !!!

I love a fragrance I can smell on myself and this one is one of them. It is my favorite lavender cologne. I can also smell the gardenia and sandalwood in this fragrance. Sexual Pour Homme by Michel Germain. It smells elegant and masculine, a little bit goes a long way. The bottle is beautiful as well.

Nostalgic fragrance ! Floral musky and sweet at the same time. Scent profile isn’t like most that’s out and popular right now. Could be everyday signature scent. My lady loves it on me Atomizer 8/10 Sillage 8/10 Longevity 8/10 Smell 8.5/10

This is the only Michel Germain fragrance that I would buy again. All of his other stuff is cheap crap. This has an amazing smell to it.

Bored outta my mind staying at home with this pandemic playing out... amiright? So anyway, I was messing around a while back with the note search on this site (awesome tool, btw!) and came across this curiosity as a result. Being a fan of several of the notes in "Sexual," (am I alone in feeling a bit weird invoking the name?) I figured at the not-so-princely sum of around $30 for a full 120ml, why not give it a try... On the opening... my gawd, what have I done?! I can only describe the opening as a very cheap smelling combination of sweet (I think it's that melon note), spicy (basil/lavender/sage combo?) and harshly floral (gardenia) that is like a vocal quartet of tone deaf attention whores vying for dominance. It's got that "hot sweet" kind of grossness one might recall from many a cheap 90's fragrance -- which tbh it kind of is. If I were to put names to what the top is most like, It's a combo of that harshly sweet opening in Curve for Men and the oily citrus/musk accord of Raw Chemistry for Men. It's not so terrible you feel like you need to scrub it off, but it's just... not pleasant. Thankfully, "Sexual" does take a turn for the better as the top notes fade. After about an hour on my skin, a fairly discernible combination of the base notes and a much more tethered gardenia/lavender take over -- and from there it stays fairly linear but continues gets better and smoother as it goes. As much as I disliked the opening, I really like the progression that follows. It's clean, floral and (sandal)woody in a very gentlemanly way, with just a touch of musk and patchouli to round it out. I can't yet speak to longevity, but I get the sense this is going to persist for a good while. Projection and sillage seem very respectable, too -- to the extent that I'd discourage being too heavy handed in applying this potent juice. Overall, this strange one is a "like" for me. It is a bit cheap and honestly can be considered a bit dated as well, so it won't be for everyone. But if you like a good throwback woody floral, almost barber shoppy scent, you may like it as I do.

Once again a very old bottle that is mostly full bought in roughly 2006ish. I was working with a girl who was wearing the women's version of this and picked it somehow thinking I would smell as great but with a masculine twist...dumb as a stick. Revisiting my perfumes and using them up is a fun experience. This has DNA from the mid nineties so barbershop classic scents that I group in with YSL opium and Iceberg Twice. I initially didn't like any of these afore mentionned perfumes and ignored them until now. At the time it remided me of the stuff the old mechanics wore in the shop. At break time it was a big aquavelva old spicy mess of man stank. This is your dad grandad or uncle classic clean scent. The lavender soapy clean the woodiness for that aftershave quality. It's got a familiar woodiness and some citrucy zing for freshness. A well done blend done by so many different houses in their own way. I'm surprised to see this spawned so many flankers. Remember perfumery would soon change and bring fruitier sweeter scents but there was a time when everything followed safe predictable directions. boozy woody clean ...but I digress. To be frank this is in NO way SEXUAL. Well ...maybe in the right roleplay but this doesn't evoke embracing or close proximity. This is aftershavy. I'm going to the office dear and we boys are gonna have a meeting. It's clean and presentable. This is so old school it's smoking a cigarette in the station wagon while taking the kids to school...

Starts off fresh and woody, but as it dries down it gets more florals and sweetness. To me it is one of the sweetest fragrances I have tried.

The opening starts with a sharp alcoholic blast and then a sweet, citrusy, woody open. Given the name of the cologne, it's not a surprise that his goes straight for the sexy, boozy, night club smell. I will say that this has a cheap, synthetic, overly sweet feel to it, but in all honesty this boozy/sweet scent profile is pretty close to some much more expensive colognes (one being YSL La Nuit de l'homme being one). I think this would be really appealing for a younger person who is into the club/dating scene, wants something sweet and appealing and doesn't want to try anything too risky. This is definitely not an office/formal scent and it's not something that you want want to overspray because it's pretty strong and not very subtle. I can see some people who really love sweet/vanilla scents loving this one, but I probably wouldn't bother spraying this one even if I owned it. 6/10.

Hey, it's not bad. It's floral, musky, and a little fruity. Like if Joop Homme didn't have the spices. I can't think of a modern designer fragrance with a profile like this cuz it wouldn't be safe for today's demands. I won't buy a bottle, but if someone gifted this to me I wouldn't be mad, I'd probably use it as an evening scent at home or for quick errands.

My wife blind bought this for me a few years ago. She love it and it drives her crazy .But for me its ok. A nice date night frag. for winter and fall. But for the price even on discount sites I do not think its worth it. So much better out there now to get, but when I wear it my wife loves it so there is that plus. 5/10

it's a great scent. very nice fruity and woody notes, but it doesn't have the best longevity or projection. a little weak

WTF? This is IDENTICAL DNA formula as Boss Bottled Intense! :S ----- Great scent RUINED by a horrible 'scratchy' in-the-nose extremely dry cheap wood in the dryoff! WTF?? Even smelling the atomizer smells like that. :S Horrible & strong cheap cut wood dryoff, scratches the nose on smelling that makes it unwearable to me. Gave it a fair chance while picking up groceries to understand what this frag is all about, when i got home couldnt scrub it off fast enough. Price is fantastic, only people that should wear this are struggling students. Stay away! 2020 bottle not wearable, Selling my bottle asap. 2/5 Woof

A woody/clean fragrance that is like many other scents out there. I've smelled this or something very like it before and didn't care for it then, either. The usual thing with the usual sour basenotes. The most remarkable aspect of this fragrance is the name - which I find to be a mere marketing ploy.
