Milano Cento For Him Eau de Parfum

Lovely, all year round traditional mens fragrance. ******************************************************* Update; this scent has become one of my absolute favourites and very regular in my rotation. Initially, as mentioned I thought it was ok, then I liked it a bit more but over the last several weeks I have found myself yearning to wear Milano Cento EDP. It's a truly brilliant artisanal scent that I'll wear often. ******************************************************* I took a bit of a punt, bought this a month or two ago based on the fact I love the listed notes and barbershop/traditional style scents..... oh, and a tip off from a certain smelly YouTube channel! 😆. Never steered me wrong so far! I really wasn't sure initially so put it away in the cupboard for a few days while I trialled a couple of other fragrances. Whilst looking for something else I remembered this one and thought I'd give it another shot as it was late in the day and I'd just got out of the shower! I sprayed liberally to give it a fair shot and......It's actually bloody glorious. A ton of traditional notes make themselves known immediately, mostly the citrus at the front coupled with the aromatics in the heart. Within ten minutes or so the base notes intermingle, bringing all the additional spices, musk, amber and a woodiness to produce a very distinct but somehow addictive, classic profile. It's a solid performer. Others will pick it up for hours around arms length at least, with longevity 6+ hours and a detectable skin scent for a few more. I'm so pleased I gave it another go as it's worthy of regular rotation for any man and of course a discerning woman who enjoys classic perfumery. Great backstory behind the scent and the brand, truly independent and niche. It's a contrast between easy going and complex, I know that sounds contradictory but try it and you'll know what I mean. Excellent value, I'll keep a bottle of this for any time of the year and any situation I feel like wearing a fresh, classic scent with just a hint something darker and a gentle animalic nuance in the back ground. I've not been able to quite put my finger on that note or combination of notes as yet! But it just works, possibly due to the beautiful blending and obvious care taken in the production. A great discovery and definitely one you won't find out in the wild very often. Refined, distinctive and a great all rounder.
