Piazza Affari

Piazza Affari represents a refined and contemporary reinterpretation of the classic masculine fougère. Having several traditional fougères in my collection, I tend to reach for timeless compositions when I want a dependable signature scent with presence and character. For years, Terre d’Hermès has filled that role for me (basically since it was released I alway had a bottle at home). Piazza Affari, however, offers something slightly different: a modern twist that feels brighter, more vibrant, and in a certain sense more youthful. The opening is lively, with spicy and citrus facets that give the fragrance an energetic and polished introduction. Beneath this freshness, a softer and subtly sweet undertone quickly emerges, adding a smooth, inviting quality that feels very much in line with contemporary tastes. After the first few minutes, the heart becomes more defined. Lavender blends seamlessly with cardamom and geranium, creating an elegant aromatic base that anchors the composition. This accord remains steady throughout the wear, providing a comforting and well-balanced presence. As expected, Piazza Affari performs exceptionally well as a signature or office fragrance. It never exaggerates or overwhelms. Instead, it is consistently pleasant, tasteful, and unobtrusive — the type of scent that fits virtually any situation without drawing unnecessary attention. While it may lean slightly toward warmer days, I find it perfectly wearable even today, in February. It is also worth noting the overall presentation. Considering the price point, the bottle, cap, and atomizer are clearly above average in quality. The packaging feels elegant and well considered, reinforcing the impression of a carefully crafted product. Admittedly, this is not one of those experimental or ultra-artistic fragrances that strive for eccentric originality. It does not attempt to smell like abstract concepts or provocative ideas. Instead, it focuses on doing its job exceptionally well — and it succeeds. For what it offers, especially at its price, it is difficult not to recommend.

I like it! Italian version of Aventus Cologne with some twists, similar performance and similar use you will get out of it. High quality, great spring summer fragrance for men. Versatile, crowd pleasing, easy to wear but a step up from Dior Sauvage, BDC, etc.

I can see how it draws comparison to Sauvage. This opens up with an aromatic, sharp, citrus lime. That it eventually fades away as the dry down pops up. It's becomes an unmistakeably blue cologne. Performance has a lot to be desired. Sits close to skin with longevity being poor, 3-4 hours of wear. Thankfully I bought it at a bargain. I will wear this casually for those days I don't want something loud.

This has a familiar smell to it and although I like it, I feel like it’s too masculine for me to pull off unlike Naxos which I really love wearing myself as a woman. Definitely get the pink pepper opening spiciness and the dry down becomes a clean lavender cedar skin scent.

Bleu De Chanel without the personally unlikable ginger. I can see this open as a fresh scent, to then transition into a very elegant blue fragrance. Very good quality, maybe not a masterpiece, but for the price is definitely worth trying it out. Also very safe to wear.

I like this. It’s kind of like sauvage but with lime instead of bergamot. The cardamom adds a nice touch too. I own sauvage edt but heavily considering a bottle of this. Definitely heavy on citrus and pink pepper!!

The opening smells very green and earthy on my skin, but after like 15 minutes it fades away and becomes an unmistakable blue fragrance. The scent itself, is smooth and pleasant, but lacks character a little bit.

Clean aromatic scent! Very citrusy and somewhat green and grassy. It has a beautiful clean soap sort of vibe, but very delicate and nicely done. I would love to smell it from some gentleman :)

Nice lime opening for warm weather. I like the fragrance but it is very weak. Almost no projection or longevity at all. But if you want a nice freshy for office or close-up situations (airplane or doctor's office), this is a good choice.

This is fine, but you probably don't need it. It's a fresh, clean, brisk, generic cologne, halfway between teen boy and classy silver fox. Echoes of Bleu de Chanel. Nothing special.

if you like BDC edt DNA you would love this, but i still prefer BDC over this, because this is a sharp citrusy opening, layered with a lingering lavender thru and thru.

Formulaic, flat. No idea why this was made.

I got a tester of this and don’t really enjoy it. When I first sprayed it, I got a blast of very generic and strong “fake nature-y men’s” type fragrance which is a negative for me. After the dry down it is still definitely strong for somebody like me who wants a perfume that doesn’t really smell “perfumey”. I get some florals and wood but it is just too “men’s product” scented for me. I understand how some people might like this, but it’s too fake for me.

What makes other fragrances smell au courant to other people are often disagreeable notes for me. This is a very contemporary fragrance, but I would not even like to be in an elevator with someone wearing this much pink pepper. It's just an irritant when you have so much of it. A (rare) scrubber for me, unfortunately.

Solid everyday fragrance that gets too much hate, and I'm really not sure why this one gets so much criticism here. Yeah, it's simple, but it's done really well. Perfect for someone who wants a reliable signature scent in their rotation. Classic fougère structure - you get those bright citruses up front that disappear pretty fast, then it settles into this nice lavender and geranium combo that actually sticks around. I'm a sucker for lavender so this works for me. Base is straightforward cedar and vetiver, nothing fancy but it does the job. Milano Fragranza knows what they're doing. The quality is there (These bottles and sprayers are one of the best) and when you can grab this for 50-60 bucks, it's a no-brainer. Performance is decent too - way better than Derby which was pretty weak. This is my go-to when I don't want to think too hard about what to wear. Works for most situations, smells clean and pleasant. Reminds me a lot of Alone Together by Perfumehead, which costs way more for basically the same vibe. Good craftsmanship, fair price, gets the job done. Sometimes that's all you need.

Starts with a nice, almost poetic lavender kick, but Diurno from the same line is so much better. Soon enough, lime and geranium and vetiver and patchouli sculpt that impeccable groomed accountant style with a tiny bit of sprezzatura you'd recognize from old photographs. Good old times when everyone had their place in the world, times before distressed jeans sneaked their way into fashion. I get it. Milano Fragranze is like a collection of old street photographs, Cartier-Bresson-style, trying to cover all possible people and rituals forming the genius loci of Milan. How do you picture a group of well-groomed gentlemen from the past though? By replicating their colognes, sure. And that's that.

The opening is ok, im not good at identifying notes so for me i just thought it smelled sort of like elderflower. The dry down is bad though, not unpleasant but it just smells like MOSQUITO REPELLENT. Definitely not gonna buy this anytime soon.

This is like drinking a mojito in a garden. A delightful find in the Milano Fragranze discovery set for me. I’ll for sure be buying a bottle for warmer weather!

More masculine, reminds me of Sauvage, but softer. Citrusy.
